The graphics and audio were cool! I played once, and when I saw I wasn't it the top 10, I had to play again :D

Artistically it is an incredible job, in the animations, effects, scenarios, characters, UI, etc ect! As for the gameplay, it cost me a lot to play it, the jumps towards the platforms did not feel so good, the same when you did not arrive and fell into the water, you did not know where you were. An excellent job! I would really like to see it much more polished xD
It look incredible, feels a little easier to camp one block of ice at a time then actively roam.
REALLY enjoyed this one! The graphics, UI, audio etc. are all done phenomenally! The gameplay loop is also quite fun. My *only* critique would be that the jumps often feel a bit too weighty. Other than that though, definitely one of the best games I've played so far :D Good job!
Wow, incredible work. Congrats on the submission!
The art and VFX really very well done. This game had a ton of juice. I just loved how it looked when the ice platforms cracked. The music was also excellent. I think the difficulty curve was a little steep for me. Maybe you could alleviate this by backing off on the initial spawn rate of the kitties, and/or increasing the abundance of snow? I found it really tough to get past the 1:30 mark. But, maybe that's fitting for the theme haha.
Splitting your snow between the snowman and cats was also clever, and it really allows the panic to set in when deciding how to manage that resource later.
Really nice job!
Great game! I really love gfx and mood. 5/5 for all, please go on!
This game very well polished.
The mechanics are solid, the art is lovely and the audio is outstanding (it even has interactive music! beggining very calm, then gets more intense with time and when you lose returns to soft).
It took me a while to discover the double jump, and sometimes the character didn´t jump when it was going in diagonal. Maybe creating bigger platforms would be a solution to that. It is also difficult to hit the dragons, I struggled a little to be very precise shooting to them.
The idea of having the same action for healing the snowman and attacking the dragons is very clever, you resolved two problems in one action.
Fantastic work, hope you guys continue the development of this game. Congratulations for the entry!
Guys rate some more games! This is great but almost nobody will see it in the end!
That being said love the visuals and especially the audio. You really have dedicated sounds for everything. My favourite is the crunch when jumping onto the ice-platforms.
One problem that might stem from the cutout artstyle is actually hitting the firecats when they are to the left or right. Im pretty sure you have actual 3d hitboxes overlayed but it makes aiming very difficult nonetheless.
The pace is very fast and you get overwhelmed pretty quickly as i feel. Thats ok though and forces more action oriented play. (Btw im the current record holder - not bragging or anything xD)
Its a really really good entry! It would be a shame to only get <20 votes.
Gostei da ideia, só adicionar uns inimigos e umas outras fases que da pra fazer um jogo mobile daora :D
The audio is LEGIT! I have to say it made the game. I had my sub woofer on and feeling the crack of the ice and music.
WoW! well done everyone. This was an amazingly polished game for a jam. I really enjoyed it.
Really great experience all round, great music, satisfying sound fx, nice visuals... Definitely one of the best I've played from this jam.
The music is so catchy. I love it. The game also looks very beautiful. Especially the main menu looks like a lot of effort was put into it, with all the animations etc. It's a difficult game but I enjoyed it :)
Wow this was fun. One of the best games this jam! I think the difficulty might ramp up too fast? It seems super calm for a while until out of nowhere it becomes unmanageable. The HUD can also obstruct some enemies behind it, making it a bit harder to gage how many enemies are back there. The graphics are amazing, the music and sounds are amazing, there are even collectable hats?! I'm seriously impressed. This is showing what the full potential of what a large team can achieve. Outstanding work.
Definitely one of the most complete games I've ever played in a Ludum Dare. Great job to the whole team! I would maybe limit the deaths as you can just "swim" your way from platform to platform to collect the snow but other than that, absolutely fantastic!
This is some incredibly polished work, the size of the team really shows. There are some changes I would suggest, though. The hitboxes on the cats are much too small. Hitting them is excessively difficult, and it isn't clear where on their bodies you're supposed to aim. That, combined with the fact that they take multiple hits to kill, means that aiming at them feels sisyphean, and I suspect this would be the case even if snowballs were unlimited. Just shooting the snowman feels massively more rewarding. Also, I agree that the difficulty ramps up too suddenly.
The audio visual elements of this game are virtually peerless (though some animation on the characters would be nice), it just needs attention in the balance department.
The concept is nice, but I found it very difficult to play in HTML. Took me a while to figure out that the penguin can shoot from the block that a snowball is on and that he didn't have to jump back to the big block and shoot from there. The view of the snowman also quickly disappears if you go too far and I would have liked the screen to then zoom out so that you can see which direction you need to jump/swim back. I am also confused as to whether the penguin takes damage if he lands in the water? The sounds make it seem that way? Music and graphics are very well done. All in all an enjoyable game.
Awesome art and mechanics. It would be cool to see levels with increasing difficulty- for me it started hard and got hard pretty fast. Cool entry!
Awesome graphics and gameplay. I love that there is a leader board in the game. You did an amazing job.
Nice work! It looks solid, the music is fast pased, and the game if fun and challenging! Good job!
I can't belive this is a jam game. Just amazing, fantastic job!
That was incredible, the production value is through the roof! I love the music and the visuals. Gameplay was nice, but with how small the platforms were and how quick you could move I found it very difficult at times to land on it and difficulty is fine, but a lot of the time it felt like it wasn't my fault because of how easy it was to miss the jumps. That said overall the game is amazing, well done!
@dilem thank you for the comment!! I took what you said to heart and experimented with adding a rounded "lip" to the platform collision. In our next version, it should be a little easier to slide on to a platform if you land right at the edge. I agree it was a bit unfair sometimes -- especially since the platforms really **look** like they should be rounded.
Thanks again for playing and for the useful comment 🙌
This is a very impressive and complete jam game, incredibly polished, with settings, collectibles, tips, a leaderboard, wtf, the big team shows :o Everything is juicy and polished, from the main menu to all the fx and the music climbing up with the difficulty Very well executed concept as well, the fact that we have to choose between shooting cats and the snowman, that we can shoot the snowman from afar, the the snowballs have an aoe, the spawners close when we jump on them... Really well done!
However, I think the difficulty climbs too quickly Also, the jump is HORRIBLY INCONSISTENT, at least it was for me, my character would often just stop its jump midair without any reason despite me continuing to press the jump button (Which usually made the jump rise higher & longer) and not having used my second jump, it looked like an intended mechanic but I couldn't figure out how it worked and it make the game way harder for me
All in all it's an incredible complete game, you could almost sell that lol, congrats.
