Liked the art style and the gameplay. The game was elegantly crafted with just the right amount of screen shakes and the responsive movement of the character.

Yes, the game was pretty fine. Good graphics, fluid movements and actions, fun. The only minus for me was the sounds, they sound a little rough, reminds me of the time I tried using BFXR
@norfma yeah a few of them are made with BFXR. There wasn't enough time to create high quality sfx for everything :/
The game looked sounded and played really well. The only problem I had was enemies spawning on top of you. It would also be cool if enemies could damage each other so if you ran out of ammo you could still find a way to win. Nice Work!
the game didnt work for me :(
@nanocube75 oh why is that? If It's because your on mac, I'm so sorry :(
@smeax im on window when i open the .exe it opens but in the background i have no idea why hopefully you can fix it in case it happens to someone else good luck though! :))
Yeah I did see some of your WIP came by, love the style and gameplay :)
Great game, loved the art style!
Loved the game! Good feel in the camera and movement and gorgeous art, but I have found some issues on the game. First of all, in the first round on my first game, I had to choose between two identic perks, so I didn't know what was really happening; and the second one is tat a friend took the mini-gun and wasted all his ammo, so he lost (I don't know if it was your idea to manage your bullets). I would have added a roll mechanic to make it more dynamic, but the game is pretty awesome. One of my favourites! Congrats!
Yeah, shooting is really comfortable! Feels good~~~
@iker-diaz Thank you for your feedback! The randomness of the perks are a bit weird, I know. It can happen that you get the same weapon and the same perk on both cards. I tried to fix this but I ran out of time :/ And the bullet management is absolutely a part of the game. Otherwise the Miniguns were too powerful. You can't just run around and hold your mouse button down. You have to aim and shoot only if you think it will hit an enemy. I would love to implement a little tutorial to explain the game real quick. But again, thank you so much for your feedback, it helps to show the weaknesses that have to be fixed :)
Awesome game! I love the little bullets on the floor! Also: All graphics fit together really well & looks polished :3
Shooting feel is really great and the art style is very good.
Very impressive entry with a huge amount of polish. The art of screen shake is strong within you!
- BGM is funky and appropriate. - Different enemy types are interesting. - Having to spam click to shoot can get tiring, I would have preferred being able to hold-to-shoot. - Maybe explore allowing the player to keep their current weapon and not have to make a sacrifice. As long as eventually their starting weapon isn't good enough!
My favourite game so far. Kudos.
I like the art and the tactility of the movement and when shooting. The camera shake was also nice. Clever with the idea that you have to sacrifice something with the powerups. At first I thought you had implemented forced Powerdowns which would have been cool too, but your choice is probably more fun to play. Nice work!
Fantastic game, smooth and the feedback when shooting/hitting stuff, and the explosions are amazing. I would say this feels like a polished game. With some story, balancing and some more stuff, this could easily be a game on Steam or some other platform. Reminds a lot of Bindings of Isaac but more fast paced, and round based :-)
Good job!
Impressive feedbacks! Great art and feel of the game! Please do continue I wish it would be the next Cannon Fodder! :D
Hy man I really loved your game I have really enjoied the game, good work I think the game can win the only thing you can add is the options menu and a shop, for the rest it is really great.
Looks good, felt great, good use of theme. Was a ton of fun! Super tactile and juicy.
The (I assume) randomized chests gave me two of the same option one round to take a rifle with half damage, and that particular selection is drastically underpowered, I think. I got overwhelmed very quickly despite landing most hits, and ran out of bullets.
Lighting, graphics and mood are amazing. This game is really well polished solid game.Great job!
Can't get past title screen (won't let me click on "play," pointer leaves screen before I can click, no buttons move me forward), bummer. Cool music. Will update if I get it working.
Really cool graphics, quite simple mechanics and a solid work ! Nice job !
Sweet Nuclear Throne vibes, looks great! I wish I could keep the weapon I want in some way, maybe for harder disadvantages. Really solid entry anyway.
Wow game looks super cool! The camera shake always makes games better!
Cool! I really like the art and animations. Reminds me of Nuclear Throne and Enter the Gungeon. Nice work!
All of it is great. Animation, lightning and overall graphics and mood are good. The game is fun to play, which is the most important. However, the music is not as good, and is a bit irritating with time. But well, that's Hell! ;)
Have you played Enter the Gungeon? Because that's how you get people to recommend you Enter the Gungeon.
In all seriousness, this is so polished and so crisp, it gets so many high ratings from me.
Really like the theme implementation. You have to choose how the game will get harder. I once choose twice in a row to make the bullets slower and I regretted it. Overall a very fun game with a lot of polish. I would love to see a more complete level with further sacrifices.
Perfect execution! I have nothing to add or cut. Everything on their place.
The game's visuals are pretty polished, kinda reminds me of Enter the Gungeo! Your game has a pretty cool concept and the sacrifice theme is pretty clever. Great game!
Dont know what I can say here that hasn't already been said.... all around a very polished little game... well done!
The pixel style is really nice, and the sound effects too. I loved all the different weapons, and I can tell a lot of effort went into making the weapons feel good too use. Movement speed down is really bad.
Good looking and good game ! Remembers me of good old flash games ^^
Fun game. A lot of it is well made. I like the enemies along with the guns. Definitely a very addictive game!(In a good way)
Love the sprites, animations and handling! Just reiterating what people said: great execution, pretty polished game! I can see this working on mobile to pass time!
The graphics are awesome! Very fun game.
Really nice graphics! Lots of great animations and effects. Shooting works well, but all the guns feel very weak. It takes a lot of bullets to kill anything and difficulty ramps up very quickly, I can barely survive second wave. I like your usage of theme, having to sacrifice something to get a new gun.
Wow, very solid! It all feels great (especially the minigun)! I agree with @adventureislands that the high enemy health diminishes the feeling of power that the guns feel. Other than that, excellent! :bear:
Hits the concept right on the head! Brilliantly challenging and beautiful! The art style is amazing! Made me feel like I was playing Nuclear Throne or Enter the Gungeon (Though I'm sure that's already been said) Honestly, great work. Love how you handled the theme. :)
Excellent game jam game, very good feedbacks, good gamefeel, very neat visual, great job overall ! And the respect of the theme is pretty cool too, I'd probably have appreciated more choice but well that's already a lot for a game jam !
Amazing! You got the game feel perfectly, camera movement, blood, screen shake, awesome music, bullet sounds... Nailed it :D You did a really good job!
Thank you all for your awesome feedback! I will defenitly improve things from this :)
Great game, quite a hard one!
Amazing game! It reminded me of Enter the Gungeon, which is a good thing! I had a lot of fun playing it! Congratulations to the team!
Very cool game, i like it, but it would be better if the bullets were not used when the clip is full
Awesome game! Really like the vibe and graphics. It reminds me in many ways to Enter the Gungeon which is great too!
The only thing that bothered me is that at the end of the round I got the same option twice... It sucks to really have no option to choose since both are the same.
But hey. As I said this game is awesome. Congratulations!

Could you please stop spamming on the front page? This is definitely not healthy for the community.
A really nice shooter game, and I had fun playing it.
The art design remind me of Enter the Gungeon.
The game design is not that creative, but it's still a great game! Nice job.
Dear Anonmyous, what has Smart Balance to do with spamming? I post like every 5 - 7 hours once, I don't think this is called spam. But I appreciate your feedback!
It's look like a completely finished game. Awesome result for 3 days! The game reminded me Nuclear Throne. Good luck!
Beautiful pixel art, Beautiful 2D lighting, camera shaking and explosions...This game has everything mine doesn't...But I loved playing it...
Great polish, I especially liked how the minigun spread increases and how the main character and bullets emit a faint light :)
Looks like this game is pretty popular, if you feel like giving back, consider leaving constructive feedback on people's entries, there's a lot of insight in this you could pass on to others. Well done!
This is an excellent entry! The graphics and gameplay are solid and feel great! I'd have more chance of ammo, though, it's quite sparse. And the camera movement really messed with my aiming, which is important in a twin-stick shooter.
nice game!
Graphics and features are very nice & polished Great work :)

This is your game too. This entry seems quite a clear example of re-skinning the core of an old project and tweaking for a game jam.
Posting anon as don't want to draw negative attention for calling this sorta bullsh*t out.
It's not allowed to make another shoot em up for a jam? Sounds new to me. The game and all assets were build from scratch so I don't see any issues here. And posting anon as you don't want to draw negative attention? If you call someone out to be cheating or whatever you want to call that you should stand by that statement and not hide behind anonymous.
Making another shooter is one thing, building it all from scratch is another. It's okay, you can stick to your story.
Another interesting comparison with your prev LD entry and One: https://pasteboard.co/HQoDpeb.png
The portal animation was added in a hotfix for the post-jam version. It was in as a placeholder for the trailers and added in right after the voting phase began as a seperate download because I hadn't enough time during the jam to draw a new one. But other than that.. a jam is about the fun and the experience you'll get. You can't win anything else here. I don't see the point for trying to take other people down just because you think the same game was used or the assets were used twice in different games or some stuff like that. Think about that.
Great job! :)
I'll start by the gameplay / mechanics, I didn't notice any problem or bug. The gameplay is pretty smooth and the "upgrades" seem to do what they're supposed to. Some combination let you stay pretty dangerous for the mobs. I usually didn't take anything reducing damages or boosting mobs' life, letting me kill multiple of them at once by focusing on the exploding ones. ^^ Adding a button to quit the game would be a useful addition, especially since the game launches itself in fullscreen (at least for me), I had to press ALT+ENTER(/return) to switch to windowed mode.
The graphics are pretty cool, I really liked this art style, it reminded me of some newground games I loved and spent hours & hours on back in the days. I assumed games were better when they used all the "game window" but games like yours prove me it can be great to have the game centered and moving the camera around the arena like that. Oh and the effects when you shoot, etc... are a great touch to the game. It really adds to the experience in my opinion.
As for the musics & sounds, it's nice! It goes really well with the game, it's the kind of soundtrack that helps you score in the game. The sound effects are also correct. I would just add a way to mute / lower the volume directly in game, that way, the player can continue his shooting while he lowers the volume, avoiding the risk of quitting the game and not coming back to it.
Anyway, I think I went pretty far after multiple runs, that was a fun game. o/
Enjoyed this title. At first I didn't see what sacrifice had to do with it, but after that first chest fell I literally went "YESSSS". Your art is gorgeous, the sound is sexy.
Very cool reminded me alot of enter the gungeon!
Awesome game, the art-style is really nice!
Amazing game with cool graphics!)
I'm not the person who initially found this out but I feel compelled to weigh in anyway...
> "It’s not allowed to make another shoot em up for a jam?"
This is *clearly* not the issue. I think people were confounded by the fact that you did not disclose what you made for this LD and what was pre-existing. To be fair, I think you did nothing wrong as far as the rules go. You absolutely are allowed to use *anything* pre-existing in the Jam.
The problem here is that there is that neither the rules nor the submission form say anything about declaring what was part of the Jam and what was not. This is not your fault, and clearly most of the people who voted for this do not care one way or the other (in my experience people don't even care if it's Compo or Jam, at least that's what I heard several streamers say).
Personally, I do think this entry is a bit misleading, but at the same time you can't really take someone to task for not adhering to unspoken rules - and rules that most of the community doesn't care about in any case. I do think there should be guidance to the effect that encourages people do declare this more clearly, and to make them opt out of any categories where they didn't make any content, but again that's just my personal preference.
#youdidnothingwrong
I agree with @udo here. Your game is really fun, don't get me wrong. You're a young developer who's trying to make his way in this awful market that is game development. Your other game "One" looks impressive and I think you're a talented artist.
It would be fair to the other contestants, if you were totally honest and open, that you took the codebase of "One", modified some sprites and added a few lines of gameplay. The implementation of the theme is really cool and I'm sure you learned a lot towards the continuation of "One".
Other developers pour their heart into this game jam. They have 72 hours to develop a game and a lot of people take that time, hardly sleep and barely make it to release a polished game, yet here you are developing for "10 to 15 hours" and have a finished game. It just doesn't seem fair.
@pancakefriday The thing is, I didn‘t used any of the code from ONE, and that‘s because ONE isnt existing anymore. It got lost after my harddrive died. As I said, I wanted to create a full game out of this, but due to the fact I lost it, it was cancled. I began to recreate it and I would love to give you the source code for both ONE(recreate) and HELL so you can see that the code is by far not even comparable. I put a lot heart in my games too! Just because I have made a game type that i‘m very used to (so I know exactly what to do) doesn‘t mean I‘m not doing it wirh heart. Just wanted to say that, thank you for your feedback!
Great little experience. Art style and animations are very well done and the core gameplay is very fun. I think the game could do with some balancing (both enemy health and audio levels :P) but on the whole it delivers a very satisfying experience with a good implementation of the theme. Well done!
Impressive mechanic. And lovely pixel art. Nice game guys!
This game is awesome! The characters, the lighting, the way the red ones can damage other when they explode, the blood stains, the empty bullet shells, everything is great. In my fist playthrough I got the same perks for the first round and for the second round as well, randomness at it's best. Would defenitely play again!
Nice game. Really like the graphics
This played very well, it felt expensive lol. I really liked how satisfying it was to kill stuff, and the exploding guys' camera shake was intense. Actually, the camera was really good, I usually get a little nauseous when the camera moves around too much, but this felt really nice. Cool entry!
Pretty cool game! I enjoyed playing it, even if I'm bad at it. I would have liked a lower level of difficulty.
Solid shoot 'em up. Probably the best one of these i've played this Ludum Dare. The graphics are great, the game fits the theme, and its not stupidly difficult. Nice array of bad guys and weapons, and the choices you make mean the game plays differently each time. Well done. I enjoyed that :)
This game was fun. Shame you didn't manage to make the sounds but it was great playing it. I liked the different types of weapons and drawbacks. Good Job! :)
Good boy! This is a very good game. Impressive. I liked it.
Simply great, just sell it! But would like to have some more "sacrifice" alternatives. Sometimes you can only pick one thing.
Hell yeah! Thats a cool idea, needs some balancing but you actually said you are working on it so looking forward to hearing from you inf uture :) Thanks fopr submitting!
Nice shooter! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/3-5x0DQqrYk
Nice little game! the gunplay feels so nice!
Great fun to play!
Well. Thats alot of work for a one person project. Great job, mate.
Great game! Beautiful aesthetics, seems like you payed attention to details. Nice job

**Very** polished, satisfying sound and music. The game is very hard. A larger arena (seperate mode?) would be nice. Love it overall.
