This was very immersive. I could honestly play it for hours! I love the audio, the visuals, and I love space - thank you for creating this gem!

Such a unique idea and masterful execution! I appreciate how simple this game is on its surface and yet how complex it can get mechanically. It reminds me a bit of Osmos but i really haven't played a game like it. I love how it balances a sense of melancholy, the feel of a chill 2048-like sim, and a replayable high score game all at the same time. Truly incredible!

I really liked the art of this game, from the design of the stars, to the atmosphere and the UI, the audio also perfectly accompanies all this. I spent hours playing without realizing it jaja! The art was made in 3d or completely in 2d? Amazing work! Congratulations!

Be me.

Build a nice small working factory. Destroy encroaching abyss shards. 7:00 - nice...

Random fluctuation shifts my factory and it starts spawning shards like crazy March rabbits on Viagra. Everything explodes. Everything goes into the freaking abyss. 7:59

5 stars. Would fail again.

--- Nice graphics. Interesting physics. Exploration. The game is quite challenging due to random spawn, orbital mechanics and space constraints.

@emaigualmc2-art Thank you! The art is completely 2d.

Oh my !... That was beautiful !! The merging and all the fiddrent mechanism coming out of it is so satisfying. the visuals& the whole ambiance are stunning. The music fit perfectly. & you even managed to pull off achievements (which i am a total sucker for) this is my fav from this jam so far... by far

You guys did an incredible works. cheers <3

kiwi663 2022-04-06 19:41

That was beatifule !

aeonarch 2022-04-07 13:17

I Loved it! Absolutely stunning art, the way the clouds waver on the fire lily is just breathtaking! The music was spot on and created incredible atmosphere. I survived past 8 minutes, but defeating abyss heralds is a bit too convoluted in my mind, the balance you have to maintain with all the shards makes the process very very challenging. Overall I think there is a real game somewhere in here. Great work!

You have nailed the mood category. A really beautiful game. The visuals, sound and art direction came together so perfectly. I love the detail in the artwork and the abstract star designs you have created.

I'm sure I was making mistakes in the gameplay, but everything was so calming that I didn't mind that I was a little lost. It's a shame that the theme infers an ending, because this game would be great to just chill out to and create ever more complex star systems.

Excellent entry, my favourite so far.

jamieok 2022-04-07 22:53

Absolutely my favourite game of the jam so far. It has a very relaxing mood but is also quite tense checking back and forth from the cheat sheet to work out which combinations create which sparks. I would say the cheat sheet could be made easier to understand but I almost see working it out as part of the charm. The visuals are very nice and polished, and the audio is subtle and really helps out with the atmosphere. Of all the games in the jam I’ve tried so far, this is one I’d love to play more of to seek out more achievements and combinations. Only critique I would give could be only having sparks combine if you let go of them while overlapping, as opposed to just when they hit, as this would prevent accidental combinations that make you restart your recipe. Other than that, it’s absolutely stellar, really great work :)

Graphics are amazing, and the mechanics are simple to understand and play with. The music certainly set the mood and the sounds meshed with it very well. There was a level of frustration involved with the abyss converting my shards seemingly out of nowhere, or a shard spawning and merging into something I didn't want and then pushing other shards around causing chain reactions of losing shards.

Great entry.

Why only 17 ratings? this is one of the best games i have tested in the jam. Nice visuals, music, and interesting crafting mechanics. Great work!

astoeth 2022-04-09 15:32

Really good ! It's beautiful, mechanics works well and it's clearly addictive, good job !

Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912088

Beautiful and soothing while still being rather intense. It was interesting to explore the space of different elements. Nice touch requiring a dip into corruption to reach the most powerful shards. Would be a good before bed (and then end up staying up late with "one more time") kind of game.

moondweller 2022-04-09 21:23

One of the best games on this jam. 2 tries took me 15 minutes of pure relax ^^

kaldrin 2022-04-11 12:25

Excuse me guys you lost your crown. This is the best game I played yet for this jam, it's absolutely incredible, the game design is so well thought and the game so well executed, the art, the audio, the ambiance, I want to put 5 starts everywhere. See you in finale (I hope) Screenshot_1.jpg

I got all the achievements finally! But I still can't make it to 10 minutes, even when I try to make big shard factories to easily create big ember roses to destroy void clusters it just ends up out of my control, producing too quickly, shards popping here and there... Very chaotic! Screenshot_1.jpg

dzugaru 2022-04-20 12:04

@potkirland, @kaldrin Congratulations, very impressive!

10 min is a really hard mark, I was trying to prepare a field of Corrupted Sapphires in advance in one half of the screen, and just produce yellows to merge into them, but still it seems you need exceptional mechanical (Starcraft) skills to pull that off.

potkirland 2022-04-20 12:23

@dzugaru yea totally with the current control scheme it gets difficult pretty quick. but the game mechanics are great with all those graphics looking so magical. i believe it is totally worth exploring and extending. can easily be a new minimotorways kinda game with daily weekly challenges and such.

the largest versions might have special activations like so:

- vigor burning himself down once activated and maybe light up its perimeter for a few seconds removing the darkness/preventing spread? - or maybe sapphires slows down curroption around them?

also if you ever make a postjam version i believe the play time can be extended with an ever expanding map and even corrupted star spawns.

- corruption would be faster than expansion so it will still get us?

all in all i really liked this whole thing thank you for making it.

Great idea, beautifully implemented. A bit too stressful for me though.

I haven't actually played this game. But based on what I playing [flagle](https://flaglegame.net), I can see why it's become addicting. A lot of players like the whole last survivor type of game. They enjoy the bragging rights and whatever adrenaline rush you get from playing it with friends and family.

royal-10 2022-10-10 06:14

Very interesting Game And mechanics used are great .
