This is a fun little game, even though I keep dying

This is a fun little game, even though I keep dying
Really enjoyed the art, the way the stars are layered added so much to my immersion. Thank you for sharing!
I echo previous comments. I also felt the delay before movement happens to be quite frustrating - it didn't feel responsive enough for my liking. Otherwise it was cool! Thanks for sharing!
This was so good. Thank you for sharing!
This was such a neat little game! I love everything about it. I really enjoyed the part where I could be really greedy and risk it all for the final moment. Well done!
Beautiful game, great sound design, easy to grasp mechanics and controls. Loved it! Well done! Thanks for sharing
It took me a while to understand how the controls worked, but once I did, it was cool! I enjoyed it! The graphics are nice as well
Seeing this being put together on stream was really interesting. Experiencing it was phenomenal! It felt like watching a movie - the subtle character development was really cool. The music was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. Well done and thanks for sharing!
This was a very interesting take on the theme. I loved every minute of it. Thank you for sharing!
This was a neat game. I really enjoyed the graphics and the effects. The ending was *mwah* chef's kiss. Thanks for sharing!
This was really cool! I enjoyed the concept a lot. Although I think I ran into a bug? Enemies just kept dying on their own without me ever attacking them? Not sure. Maybe I missed something. Oh well, great work! Thanks for sharing!
I will echo what @tengusheath said. The progression was slow, a little too slow. The visuals are on point though, very beautiful and polished looking game!
Ditto the above comment. Would love a web link to give this a try!
This was such a beautiful and neat game! Felt like I was exploring the depths for treasures. The music was calming and everything fit so well together. Well done
It was really difficult to maneuver the character. The controls are extremely sensitive and I couldn't get it right - I died... many times! The aesthetic is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
10/10 would throw that vase out the window again!
The mechanics were really nice. I particularly liked the sucking of life juice from enemies. I had a lot of fun playing this. Well done! Thanks for sharing!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! This was so great. Everything about it is great. Thanks for sharing!
This was super cool. LOVED the graphics, very beautiful. I fully expected Ori to show up and help at some point - the execution was really good. Thanks for sharing! Well done
I could not figure it out, but it was cool to try! Well done
Really enjoyed this short playthrough! Thank you for sharing this
@ceejap duly noted, more snow particles = better
@a624t thank you, glad you liked it!
@miej well done :smirk:
@jogy34 I'm happy to hear you enjoyed them.
@zfert snap. I thought I fixed that bug :sob: I'll have to look into it! Thanks for the report.
@adnonymous5 I'm happy to hear you liked the audio bits and the music  Tiles do look a little disjointed, definitely something to improve on in the future. Materials could be used to build shelter or improve your gathering tool (which will yield more materials upon digging). Thanks for the feedback!
@scott-steffes I thought I fixed the radial menu not opening. Will have to look into it. Thanks for the report! And you shouldn't be able to mine blocks above you... I must have forgotten about that
@edgeboyo Thanks for the feedback! Debugging and fixing bugs is definitely something I need to improve on.
@thejonu Radial menu has a mind of its own apparently  I'll be looking into it to make it more reliable! I'm glad you liked the VOs and the 808
@doctortm thanks!
@awesomezebra thank you so much for putting that list together! I'll add them to my list  I'm glad you enjoyed it
@garys I hear ya! A balance pass is definitely required and something I intend to do down the line. I'm currently working on adding spawns for all materials at different depths, though this will likely not be in for the jam, as I consider it a new feature. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback!
@jryzkns I'm glad you liked it! That's something I've done post-jam. Since it isn't exactly a bug fix, I'm holding off on updating the game on itch.io for the moment, but you're absolutely right. It's unfortunate I didn't do it prior to submitting the game  Thanks for the feedback!
I'm not sure if I'm really bad, but I seemed to be unable to reach certain waypoints? It felt like there was an invisible wall in front of me... then I died and I'm not sure why.
I loved the different effects on the various light sources though, that's a very nice touch!
Beautiful game! A bit difficult to grasp because I kept trying to pick up the petals, but it didn't seem to work, unsure if I was doing something wrong. 😅
This was awesome, the art style and the audio tied in together so nicely! Well done!
So polished, very impressive! It looks good, it sounds good, it plays nicely. My only pain point was that the resolution started massive instead of small and letting us put it fullscreen, but this is super minor. I had a lot of fun trying this out. Well done!
Very beautiful game!
I quite enjoyed playing the game. There's definitely a lot of potential! Well done!
The presentation for this project is really nice. Everything fit quite nicely together! Well done 😄
This was quite fun! Not usually my cup of tea, but it worked nicely. Well done!
Very cool project! The animations were so satisfying. The mech's walk SFX was a bit much after a while, but it fit perfectly with what I would expect. The overall art fit very nicely together and it looks great. Well done!
The music was so good! The fact that it changed in every area was *chef's kiss* - as someone who grew up playing JRPGs, it was very cool to play this. Well done! 😄
Everything about this was so awesome! Very unique take. I could probably spend hours just walking around fixing paintings or submitting new ones. Well done! 🤩
The ambience was really good. That background track was super unsettling. I do think some of the on-screen text could have faded out after a while and the dialogue being on the top-left was a bit disorienting since my eyes focus on the center of the screen. Overall good, well done!
This was very immersive. I could honestly play it for hours! I love the audio, the visuals, and I love space - thank you for creating this gem!
My fingers! The concept is very cool, but my poor fingers hurt 😭 I wish there was a control scheme that was more accessible. Still enjoyed playing it though, well done!
Super cool project! However the default control scheme was really rough. WASD was much easier and more pleasant overall 😅 Well done!
This was incredibly fun. I love the concept! Drawing our own defenses.. so cool 😄 Well done!
Loved the visuals, very beautiful to look at. At first I was confused (cause I hadn't properly read the description), then I felt horrible about what I did in my first run 😅 - the following run was just sad knowing I'd run out. Well done!
To be honest, I just started jamming to that sweet sound of errors popping up 😂
That was an interesting take on the theme! It wasn't easy, but it was neat to try, well done!
Pretty cool, well done! I had a bit of trouble figuring out where I was shooting - I think a crosshair or some kind of feedback on screen would have helped 😅
Very cool! I loved the art and the ui, I appreciate having the altitude meter 😄
Neat little game. Enjoyed the music and the SFX. Well done!
Instructions unclear, fell out of world 😅 aside from that, well done!
😂😂😂😂😂 amazing! love the presentation. Very good!
@ds-nahogara thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The sensitivity was definitely something I was unsure of. Thank you for the feedback!
@maneggadverureman thank you for giving it a shot! I can definitely see how the exo-skeleton power jump breaks immersion 😅 Thank you for the feedback!
@human-writes-code Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reporting the bug, I'll add it to my list 😅 The sensitivity definitely seems to be high up there.
@arzi Thanks for the kind words, and for trying it! I'm assuming you mean additional instructions on the delivery system in the "How to play" menu. I'll add that to my list as well 😄
@cyangmou I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful (I've updated it to mention the delivery aspect of the game). I also tried fixing the mouse sensitivity following a few comments on the topic. I've adjusted some of the settings in regards to deliveries vs. panic as well. Thanks for the feedback and giving it a try!
@mrevilguy Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it!
@rmrvar wow! That's a lot of deliveries. Perhaps it's slightly on the easier side. I submitted a new fix for the mouse sensitivity. I think I got it this time 😅 Thanks for checking it out!
@collin-visser Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@jlv I'm super happy that the emotions were properly conveyed through the various elements 😄 Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully my latest fix for the mouse sensitivity solved the issue (I think it did, but we never know - different setups and all that). Thanks for giving it a try!
@applestreet-games thanks for the kind words! It's always neat when folks experience the exact emotion you're going for 😄
@nillard People are relentless! 😅
@doctorbilbo Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it!
@amkingtrp Thanks for the kind words! Glad you liked it!
@diccuric-sigeon well done, that's a great score 😲
@gamebucha thank you!
@quite-good thank you, I'm happy it worked for you!
@steve7411 thanks! You're right, having some kind of indicator would be great. I tried looking into some shaders, but I couldn't put it together. Maybe I'll try to add it eventually!
@itzemii Thanks for the feedback! I agree the sound at the start is probably a bit louder than it needs to be 😄
@don-fouts thanks for checking it out! You're the first one to mention verticality 🕵️♂️ I'm glad you enjoyed it 😁 Pachinko is life!!!
@nate-bit-games Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@daniel-dewaswala Thanks for checking it out. Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
@thecritterscove thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you felt the anxiety 😄 I'm sorry the character felt sluggish. I'll keep that in mind and try to make it feel better.
@dlan-bess Thank you for trying it out! You're one of the 2 people that have mentioned it. Good job finding it!
The audio was so satisfying! The way it speeds up, felt very representative of life, how things go by so fast. Great experience, well done!
Cute little game! I love the palette. I agree that it can be quite difficult to purchase things. I think it would have been cool to have health bars appear over the enemies to know how much life they have left. Maybe the lack of feedback on successful hits is what I'm getting at 😅
An interesting take! I struggled a bit with the character controls, I kept getting stuck on things. The text at the start was overwhelming because it was different lengths, different sizes at fast intervals. It would have been easier to grasp what was happening if it was a bit slower/more consistent in terms of length. Well done!
Super cool project! It took a few tries to grasp what was going on. Definitely challenging and something I'd want to get better at. Well done!
Adorable!
Pretty cool! I would have loved the player to need to give input to fire the projectiles, right now it felt like I wasn't really doing much. Well done!
The game feel was superb! I would have loved to see impact VFX on top of the knockback when successfully hitting enemies. I had a lot of fun though, well done 😄
Pretty cool. I love the effect you added to the visuals! Well done 😄
Unique approach to the theme, super cohesive art and audio, very well done!
Completely unsure what I'm meant to be doing. The music is nice.
Cool entry, I wish the stress levels were more difficult to manage - it was super easy to keep it low.
Neat little game, really appreciated the sound design and the visuals. Super cohesive!
Holy wow! Very nice game. It scratched an itch I didn't even know I had 😅 The level of polish is very impressive. Thanks for sharing!
I honestly think there's potential to build something truly amazing with this concept. Well done!
Very cool concept! I ended up with so many loaves of bread just hanging out and about. A great sim considering the age in which we live in. Nicely done!
Cohesive presentation, very adorable. I like the premise of your cat being a shit disturber 😅 Thanks for sharing!
Loved the art! I enjoyed playing your game. Well done!
A password is required to view the itch.io page. 😅
@jhandsy no worries, thought I'd mention it in case it was by mistake! 😁
This was very, very fun. The art, the audio, the gameplay, everything holds together very nicely. I wasn't sure what made my health regen, but I was thankful it did. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing this amazing project!
So much fun!! I like the varying sentiment when entering each unique phase. The presentation and audio holds itself very nicely. Well done!
Very polished game. Fun concept too! Well done!
Games like these are so easy to get sucked into! The frame rate was a bit rough on WebGL, but it was still fun!
Love the twist on the theme, a picture every 10 seconds to warn you of the monster's position.. so cool! Didn't manage to escape in my play time, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Thanks for sharing!
I was feeling dizzy with the light spinning so much 😂 thanks for sharing!
I'll echo what others have said, it's pretty difficult! Love the random events every 10 seconds though, it's super cool!
Damn. I was hooked! I needed to find them all 😅 The audio was very good, the little music was soothing and the feedback when combining items was perfect!
The controls really had me struggling. I hated it, but I loved it - not being able to see your surroundings in the way you presented it... it was very cool! Solid entry. My thalassophobia was totally fine with it 😅
Amazing! The art, the audio, the gameplay - everything is extremely polished. I particularly love the added skill checks to get more stakes per tree, as well as the 3D sound of vampires spawning, making it easy to react/know where to go. Very well done!
Nice way to tackle the theme! Loved the game very much because I love everything that is remotely related to space. I want more!! Well done!
Very clever approach to the theme! The art is stunning, as is the audio. This project is very polished! Well done!
This is a solid entry. It a different approach to backrooms and I enjoyed it. My only problem was the destruction of walls was sometimes very unforgiving and made it impossible to crouch through the hole. Thanks for sharing!
Extremely fun, my only gripe is how slow upgrading your attacks is. Seeing as you only have 10 seconds to do it, I wish it were a little bit faster. Other than that, there was an issue with attacks registering on slopes.
The music really sold me on the energy of the game. Well done!
Neat! I liked kicking the crabs away, the sound was satisfying 😅 well done!
Neat game! Definitely not a concept I was expecting, but pretty cool. Well done!
Extremely fun game! I could play it for hours if I didn't have other responsibilities 😅 Well done, thanks for sharing!
Very polished entry, super impressive! I think I will echo all the praise that was given. Absolutely stunning visually, loved the audio work as well. Congratulations!
Adorable game. I unfortunately got the stuck in jump bug a few times, but it was still an enjoyable experience. I liked trying to find the optimal way to pick up the fruits/veggies. Well done!
Interesting take on the theme, however due to the keys, it was tricky to walk to the portal, then use it without wasting too much time. I think I'd have made the timer only start when the player starts moving after respawning. Still a very solid entry though, well done!
Loved every second of it. The whole premise is adorable too. Well done!
@thebmxeur Thanks for trying it out! Apologies for the bug, I suppose some navmesh blockers could be added near walls. I didn't think of that. I appreciate the feedback on finding your way through the level. Having unique landmarks would definitely help 😅 something to add down the line!
@jacob-diaz I'm glad the title pulled you in! Thanks for trying it!
@triangle-point Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
@nenechico Thanks for trying it! And thanks for the kind words. I suppose the objective could be explained at the start of the game, just in case people rush in 😅
@lavendaggers I'm sorry it wasn't clear enough. Something I'll look into for sure!
@thatzniko A normal reaction 😁
@hotaloca Thanks for the detailed comment, very appreciated! There's definitely something to be done for finding the objective items more easily. Holding your breath is useful when the creature is near, as it can hear your breathing. Thanks for giving it a shot!
@inkajoo Thanks for the kind words! Your comment makes me realize I should have made the player turn towards the creature when they get caught. It's a very good point and I will look into it.
@jean-baptiste Nice! That's at least one person that was brought in because of the butt 😅 I'm glad you liked it. The latest version on itch.io (not the LD submission) should solve the difficulty in finding the objective. Thanks for trying it out!
@morgan-cabral Thanks for trying it! I uploaded a new version to the itch.io page that should help with finding the skulls. I'm glad it was spooky 😁
@mehigh Glad you liked it, thanks for the kind words!
@kingofnova Thanks for trying it! Glad the mood got you.
@sayurinyooko Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The latest version on itch.io should solve not knowing what to do. I implemented a tutorial window and made the objectives slightly easier to find. Thanks for giving it a shot 😁
@parsonb Thanks for giving it a shot!
@amythyst Thank you for the kind words. I will note your comments to look into them!
@yaroslav-gozak I'm glad you enjoyed it! Tutorials would be nice if I could find the time to make them 😅 I love PSX style, so that's what I went with. I will note the bug and look into it, thank you!
@khrisna-kamarga I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for giving it a shot!
@solah I think you're right, pushing it a bit more could have done wonders!
@gibberingtaylor Thanks for trying it! I'm happy to know you found the atmosphere cohesive. I hear you about the darkness of the map. Some adjustments are underway, but sadly aren't in the LD51 submission version. Thanks for the feedback!
@substain Nervous farts are very real 😁
@robeecodes Thanks for the kind words and for giving it a try!
@volodymyr-karchevskyy thanks for the kind words!
@fizzbark Thanks for giving it a shot! There's another version in the works with a lot of changes that should improve the weaker points in the LD submission. I appreciate the feedback, thank you!
@david-broz Holy, thanks for such a detailed piece of feedback, I really appreciate the time you took to write it out! I think you raise some really good points, which I've integrated into the latest version of the game (it's still a work-in-progress). Thanks for trying it out!
It sometimes felt like the character couldn't jump high enough to get on upcoming platforms. Otherwise it's a cool little game. Thanks for sharing!
Poor sheep! I felt bad. I think it would be interesting to add some disturbance to the player's ability to fulfill the objective. For example, maybe the sheep break free if you hold onto them too long. Either way, solid entry!
Incredibly well done game, very polished! The graphics and the audio are *mwah* chef's kiss. Thanks for sharing!
Love the time put into the itch.io page. It looks really nice! This take on the match-three genre was very neat. Easy to get lost in time!
Great concept, everything holds itself together very nicely. Loads of fun too. Thanks for sharing!
So many cups thrown into nothing. I fully lived my barista fantasy and I loved every minute of it. Thanks for sharing!
Long live Kipo! Had a good time playing this game. The camera mechanic is super interesting. Well done!
I liked the story telling of the game. Overall very solid entry. Struggled a bit at the part where there were a bunch of enemies... I wanted to defeat them but had trouble getting to the ground 😅
I love the simplicity of your project! Well done!
I don't know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised when I played it. Soothing to the max, something you can sink some time into if you're looking to chill. Very well done, I love the way your approached the theme!
Very cool game, loved the graphics and the way you approached the theme! Congrats 😁
Interesting game! It was a refreshing take on the theme. Well done!
That was pretty cool! Took me a few tries to figure out what to do in the first room 😅 Well done!
Interesting concept, though very confusing because there's no way to know which way to go. It's also pretty disorienting sometimes 😅
The premise of the tiny club is amazing, well done! It took a second or two to decipher what they meant, but it worked out in the end 😅
Nicely done! The story was very funny. Thanks for sharing!
Nice art, good sound! The core of the game is interesting, but a bit frustrating to always get kicked back to the start when you die, esp. since it felt like sometimes the attacks didn't properly register (or I collided with enemies much sooner than it looked like?). Solid entry, but I do think it would benefit from being a bit more forgiving.
This was fun! I also appreciate the time you've put into building your game's page. Very informative and organized. Well done!
Super fun game! I struggled with the controls at first, but got the hang of it with some practice. Very well done!
Interesting game! It's unfortunate there's no audio, I think it would add a lot. Regardless, well done!
As previously mentioned, the controls are pretty tricky to get used to. I found out the arrow keys also worked, so that was a saving grace. Very nice art style, very chill vibes - could definitely see this expand more. Well done!
The shifting of the labyrinth is really cool. Overall a very solid entry, well done!
