Really satisfying game, especially when the collision sounds harmonize with the music!

Really satisfying game, especially when the collision sounds harmonize with the music!
I loved playing this game! It was so relaxing, I see myself playing this for long periods of time. Well done!
Wow I loved this one!! It's so well made and so concise in concept. I loved seeing the pinball mechanic come in. And I love love loved the art and the sound design!! Great job!!
Very cool atmosphere! I was a little sad when it looked like the best move was to spam shooting the stars, but glad to see that later levels fixed that a little! I never really found out what the black star did though, oh well. Fun game!
The art and sound effects were pretty cool, didn’t know what was the black stars purpose there for a second, but it was fun trying to get them. Nice Game :)
Simple but cute
I enjoyed the button mashing it was impressive how many stars I could have on screen all colliding well and no lag. I also enjoyed the variations in the levels. Good work!
Great submission! The artwaork, effects, sounds, just everything felt quite polished. Seems like a nice relaxing game to just chill and play while looking at beautiful colors. I wasn't really sure what the black stars did, if they just spawned to be like obstacles or hadsome special effect. It also seemed like they didn't spawn every 10 seconds but maybe because I one of the shooting star immediately hit it on spawning and it vanished
Really fun and relaxing game! I really liked the variety in levels, the pinball levels were my favorite. Big fan of the GUI and art too!
For some reason audio wasn't playing on my side, alas! But the game was quite fun, I really enjoyed the variety in the levels, although my game crashed around level 16 when I mashed the buttons too much (which was very enjoyable, by the way) The variety in the levels was really enjoyable from what I did play. I'd be down to play it again if the audio issue gets resolved! But maybe that's just on my end.
You did a wonderful job on the art, Gwen! This game look great! Great submission all around, really!
This is a really nice relaxing game, kinda reminds me of playing cut the rope on my phone as a kid. I feel like this could be a fun little title to fully release on mobile.
The art is very pleasant to look at and is accompanied well by the music and sound effects.
Zero complaints here. Great job friend :)
This game was adorable! Shooting the stars out of the cannon was so satisfying. Sounds were also amazing. If I had to give one piece of feedback, it would be to think about limiting how many times the player can shoot the cannon. I was able to clear most of the levels by simply spamming the cannon and waiting! Although this in itself made for a fun experience (the pure chaos of it), I think it could've been a bit more challenging. :) Overall, this was a super awesome game!
Also, hate to ask but if you could give our game a rating, I'd really appreciate it. We currently also have less than 20 ratings so any help would be wonderful! https://ldj.am/$303168 :)
@celtican hmmmmm bummer. I made a Windows build of the game just now to see if that fixes things, if you feel like checking it out. Also sometimes I've seen different browsers behave weirdly with the fmod audio too.
Aw this game is precIOUS!!! At first I was confused with the rules, but then I didn't care anymore and just shoot as many stars as I could. The game was simple and there wasn't any punishing mechanic so it was just super chill, I actually liked that. And the stars made music too, that's such a nice detail. It felt like a stress reliever <3 thanks for making it!
this game is fun and addicting. I had to stop myself from playing it so I could go to a meeting.Screen Shot 2022-10-06 at 9.40.35 AM.png
Pretty nice! Loved the care put in feedbacks, the trails, piano sounds and particles everywhere, it made it pretty satisfying. I had some audio issues when too much was going on screen though . Congrats!
That was a nice, chill time! I liked that you didn't restrict the player from spamming a bunch of shots and watching them interact, it was a fun mix to take some precise shots early and then spam out the last orb and watch the fireworks. The game crashed for me the first time through on a level switch, but the second time I made it all the way through with no issues. A bit more distinction between the indigo/violet and orange/red pairs would've been helpful, I shot the wrong one a few times.
Cute and fun game, good job!
Love the graphics :3 They are very cute! It's a really interesting take on the them. used to play break out type games ages ago and this was such a joy to rediscover it ^_^ Thank you so much <3
A very relaxing game and the music just fits perfectly to that. The relaxing and satisfying nature was just what I needed right now. Two things I want to mention: - I didn't understand what button I needed for the second star-cannon, so I just tried out everything. The symbol didn't help me. - Sometimes the stars would get stuck in corners, that was disappointing
Still, everything else was just great and I loved it
Cute entry, the colour and light explosion when spamming the star-cannon looks great. Good job!
@fribolin ah sorry, the 2nd cannon is the forward-slash key (the game started off as pinball).
the art is really cute, very nice to watch. It takes me a bit to find where the / key was  Excellent game!!
@benk Just now getting back to this! The audio issue was apparently my adblocker. It sounds great!
Awesome, nice gameplay mechanic, cute and lovely art style, and relaxing mood too! Well done!
Cute game! Love the pinball physics ;D Enjoyed the ride~
Ooooh this reminded me of the tricks they do in Peggle to use musical sounds as SFX that fit to the soundtrack. The approach in this case of keeping the music in one key makes it feel a bit static, but trying to devise a system that would adapt to moving harmonies is sort of beyond the scope of a jam (although not impossible if you're crazy enough...). Did you use FMOD? It often has issues with WebGL, so it's possible some folks are experiencing some of that (I've had some trouble with that in the past on more ambitious audio implementations for jam games). I think the pinball idea is really nice, and ramps up well. Perfect scope for a jam, congrats to the team!
Game have really good atmosphere because of graphic and audio but i can complete this game just spamming stars.
I like the sounds design and the art! This could be turned into a full release with a couple more mechanics, especially if you could get the controls to work on mobile!
what a cute game!! love the art, and i love that the background moves around (the purplish area outside of the vertical rectangle where the game takes place). it's a really subtle thing, but helps the game feel more flowy and aesthetically pleasing! i also love the colors and the rainbow that comes up at the end of each level with a summary. super cute!
unfortunately i couldn't hear any audio on the browser version! i restarted my browser five times with no luck; i was hoping to be able to hear the audio since it seems like a lot of players really enjoyed it!!
i love the pinball mechanic, it felt really nostalgic and brought me back to the days when i used to play a lot of pinball as a kid, haha!!
i wasn't sure if i was supposed to hit the black stars or not. since nothing bad happened, i assumed it was okay to hit them, but i also wasn't sure what they did. for someone like me, it would've been really great if i had a bit more guidance as to what the black stars did!
other than that, super fun and charming game!! great job!
Had a lot of fun playing this. It got to the point where I kind of just spammed the buttons to shoot the stars, which was fun to see. The art style was fantastic!
This is very relaxing, almost meditative really. I love the pastel colors and the delicate sounds. The whole game is very cute and works well. I didn't notice any particular problems or bugs.
The amount of levels really surprised me! Till now, I'm not really sure if I should have been picking up the black stars or avoiding them  But I had fun playing.

@pat-cleaver Thanks :-) Yep I did use fmod, and it was a pain sometimes, though now I've more or less figured out how to get initialisation to work (https://gist.github.com/kalman/c6eb68caafa639900aebbb372f287678). You're right about it feeling a bit static, for a jam I'm pretty happy with it, but modulation is an interesting idea. And/or a more varied chord progression (if I'd been more careful with level design I could have introduced notes more gradually). I would have liked to do something more interesting than just vertically adding layers in the music itself.
@bison-warlock Oh bummer about the sound, sorry about that. There is a windows build there if you're curious.
@benk yeah I always include a loading scene to my WebGL builds to be sure that the Fmod banks aren’t missing on start. All in all, I still think the added features of middleware are worth the extra effort (and slightly subpar web builds). Platform specific compression settings have helped too btw
Cute game!
