Really dig the art style and the voice lines (er, if you can call them that?) They fit the ridiculous story quite well lol. The gameplay mechanic of occupying more space was pretty unique though it wasn't quite obvious at first that you always expand to the right and then top. Still, reasonably well made puzzles, especially given the time limit. The only thing I felt was a little lacking was the "seconds" part of the theme... the Moon Time:tm: was kinda taking some creative liberties. At least it definitely nailed the "every 10" part though.
Wow! The Animation was so cool, and the gameplay really made you think! Its also cool to see another opening cinematic in a game jam, just like our game!
WOWW the art in this game is so awesome! the style and design, visually everything fits so well together with the werewolf/moonlight theme of the game! and the animation is amazing! so fun, i laughed a lot at father corn. the concept works well too, i love the idea of the full moon turning you into diff levels of burger but also it affects how much area you take up so you have to think more about your path as you go! one thing for me is the movement animation feels too slow for how fast you actually are moving from tile to tile. i go too fast so the animation just gets cancelled, and im like grr i wanna see him jump but i also wanna go fast! xd but either way still super fun and i loved it! amazing job to you all!
i like the art style. The last level was trickey. Nice work
I wonder if he took a bite out of him . Clever puzzle game. Loved your voice acting. Not sure if intentional, but perfectly timed diagonal movements only uses up 1 turn.
I love the animation and art. I found myself playing it for awhile too, good job!
This is such a good game, I loved every second of it. Sometimes the obstacles would kill you and sometimes they wouldn't so it was a hit or miss if the path was going to work or not, this was probably for going too fast for the enemy to change states or something? It wasn't super common that it could ruin the game though.
In terms of theme, I like how it was adapted to more of a 10 steps sort of thing, it's very nice! And the sound effects made me laugh every single time.
Now I really want a burger, and I'm not even a beef person.
Art is Amazing gameplay matches the art ! Good good job , realy enjoyed This game.
Wow, the simple concept makes this really fun. The art and animation is professional level. This is one of my favorites so far.
Great game overall! The art style, and especially the animations, are really impressive! Fun to play through. Just to be ultra picky, some levels have some unused areas, or elements that are just "there" and doesn't serve a purpose, but it's a minor point really, the game is really well made!
Now I'm going to order a burger, and hope it doesn't bite me... Sans titre.png
love the game! the art style+animation is absolutely gorgeous and the game idea is just as great. I had a lot of fun playing the entire game, wish there was more levels in the game but all in all this is a really well done entry
I've always wanted to be a cheeseburger. RIP Father Corn and screw you forks, spoons for life!
The wereburger, I was not prepared for that haha. Lot of humor and great animations (especially the transformations). Maybe too great though, i found it a bit frustrating to move since the animation was taking so long even if beautiful !
This is a very well put together game! The feel is cohesive, and it's definitely amusing. The art style is very appropriate as well as the somewhat ambient music. The only thing that made me really take off stars was using a "10 moves" theme instead of an "Every 10 Seconds" theme, since that greatly changes the flow of a game; it's the difference in having as MUCH time to think as you want... and having to keep moving. But still, aside from the theme complaint it's a great game.
Love the art! Fun overall, puzzles were pretty interesting. Really polished for the time limit too.
great game with a simple but charming art style!! i would've loved to seen more content for the game but understandably it's just a 72 hour game jam! great work :hamburger: :two_hearts:
This game is perfect .
5 star art and game design! Really cool puzzle and great artistic choice. I still remember the game you made in LD49 (That one was hilarious fun to play as well), super awesome good job!
Thank you all immensely for the kind comments and feedback! We're really glad that the game is landing with so many people. We appreciate the heads-up about some glitches, and hope to get those fixed up for a "final" release. We also would love to add more levels in the future after the jam voting - we didn't have time for too many during the actual jam period.
For a few specific replies: @coye We do plan to have a web version up before too long! @tyrannas You can tap a direction again before the animation is over to skip it and instantly jump to the next tile!
Now it's time for us to go play some games ourselves- Can't wait to check out what everyone has come up with. Please continue leaving feedback if you're feeling inspired, it helps a ton and is very appreciated! May Father Corn bless you, and we hope you have the chance to enjoy a good burger soon.
Very fun concept with excellent execution! The idea of a were-burger makes so much sense (somehow) that it just works. The art style is cohesive and wonderful, and the animations were smooth :). There were some slight rough edges around some gameplay where you might get shot/stabbed if you take your turns too quickly while taking a path that wouldn't kill you if you just moved slower. Feels like a finished game though, which is super rad for this tight a timeline!
it look fun, let me know if you make a browser version, i want to give it a try ! :)
One of my favourites so far! Appealing character and super top handcrafted animation! Some true artists there!! Easy to play and well designed puzzles!! LOVE IT!!
Wow amazing presentation, sound mixing, music, absolutely 5 stars across the board!
really nice job! of course the art is really impressive for a jam game, but I was happy to see the puzzle mechanics were really fun and interesting too! overall fantastic job! Only complaint is that the animations need to handle interruptions better so that you can play quickly. I would get different results if I played fast vs slow (as in die sometimes with the exact same moves). Didn't detract from the experience much tho. great work!
Overall, a really fun game! I enjoyed the artwork and the audio.
Very clever approach to the theme! The art is stunning, as is the audio. This project is very polished! Well done!
Love the audio and graphic! I kept laughing while saw the protagonist changed to the large burger. Very interesting game!
Great graphics! I also really liked the idea of seconds being kind of like a currency for movement.
Very good game. Love this art style
This is wery fun game with great arts, thanks for fun time spending in it)
Great game! I find the puzzle solutions to be a bit repetitive, aside from that I love the idea, the graphics and the music, well done!
Interesting puzzles, beautiful art, cool sounds. Funny idea of turning into a sandwich. Great game!
Excellent game! I love everything about it from the humor to the visuals, the audio (Great voice acting) and of course, the gameplay! Really like the change of the hit box with the transformation. Well done!
Incredible game and very polished! Could barely tell it's a jam game! The art and audio are incredible and complement each other wonderfully. I even liked the story, it's funny and simple, which is perfect for a game jam. The puzzles were very well designed and had a good difficulty curve. Was a bit confused sometimes on when enemies would do damage, seemed a bit inconsistent. And while the animations were very good, they were a bit slow at times, and sometimes when I would retrace my steps quickly the animations had a hard time keeping up. Other than those, no complaints really, very solid game!
Pretty good puzzle with an interesting mechanic.
Levels certainly need planning before the start of play. This part is really well made, but the time counter works as the turn counter, even though they are called "seconds".
What about graphics, I like it. It's stylish.
I had a bug when 2 character states are overlapping each other if you make a move before the end of the previous animation.
Such a polished entry! I love the sounds, art and story of the game. The puzzles are fun, though could be a bit more challenging. I liked when you could smash the walls as a big burger :).
The graphics and animations are awesome and the music fits very well. At first I didn't get it that I finished the first level and kept playing it over and over again :D It's fun to play!
What a great game made in only 3 days! Graphics, animations, mechanics, level design! Congrats! 5/5
What an incredibly polished game! The art is absolutely stunning, the mechanics are perfectly implemented, starting off nice and easy but getting harder as the game progresses with more enemies and more thought needed to complete the levels. I really liked this, it's clear that you guys have some chops as far as making games goes and I look forward to seeing more from you!
Thx for game, thx for fun!
What a great game! The art style is adorable and the sound effects are funny as hell. Great puzzles. Was more on the easier side except the last level, however I enjoyed the story until the end. Well done!
Really nice game! The concept is absolutely genius, and the animations & voice acting really helped convey it. Personally, I really liked that you didn't use the "seconds" part of the theme - there aren't many other chill puzzle games in this jam :) One thing that confused me was the rifle enemies: it wasn't very clear that they attacked a turn after you entered their range, and sometimes I got shot when standing one tile below the end of their line of sight. Other than that, awesome game!
Fun puzzle game, and a really great concept.
it was very original and very funny. The drawing is excellent.
Unfortunately, even though the animations look good, I feel that they delay terribly because they are slow. Of course, they can be jumped if I don't wait for the animation to finish and just click on the arrow, but at that moment I lose a bit of an overview of where I am and what's going on, and it doesn't help much that I have marked where to jump. Then when more farmers with forks appeared on the map I was already confused or had to accept the slowness of this game. If the animation didn't drag on so much, it could definitely help.
But that's probably one big complaint I have. Otherwise I can't complain. I had a lot of fun. And the level design of the level seemed very well designed. I laughed at the werebuger and next time I'd rather order a pizza :)
Wonderful looking style and I love the were-burger premise  Feel like a lot of effort went into this and it paid off. Nice job!
Thank you all for the wonderful feedback!
@skel3ton Appreciate hearing your thoughts on the animations! They aren't as snappy as they could be since they actually take up a real-time second (or two seconds in the case of entering mud) - it was important to us that we intentionally corresponded with the theme of '10 seconds'! We definitely realized waiting could get annoying, though, hence why we added the option to snap to the next tile.
@frogman @woodmancodes @walaber We appreciate the heads up with regards to quick movement & clarity with enemy attacks - we definitely plan to fix this up for a 'final' version of the game before too long.
We're so happy to hear that our burger game has been fun for fellow jammers. We've seen so much creativity in this jam's entries, and it's always so inspiring. We hope everyone keeps up the awesome work- and thank you so much again for the feedback!
Such a great game! I loved the artwork and sound effects, it was just so hilarious! I think the game design is really on point, its simple and easy to get into, and gets complicated just soon enough to not get boring. I like the greyscale vibe although it would have been nice to add a splash of colour, maybe just for the cheese on the wereburger! It took a death or two to figure out exactly which 2/4 spaces would be occupied when I transform, so I think signposting that could be a possible improvement. But other than that, this was a perfectly executed game! Thank you for making this!
Game good. Would rate again. Art had good details, animations were juicy too. I kinda wish there was more color but it was thematic to have it black and white. Lots of content and explored the mechanics well! I found the last level a little confusing, especially because he seems to be able to shoot you 1 block out of the range of the laser I think? Overall this is a really good and really complete submission, nice work!
The audio and visuals sit really well together, and the voicelines are perfectly goofy. I appreciated that you can kind of fast forward your movement by pressing the keys repeatedly and used that a lot by the end of the game. The animation timings did make this process a bit wonky at times though.
Amazing job with the character design and animations, very well executed, especially the big character portrait that transforms along with the in-game character as you metamorphose. I wasn't smart enough to get through all the puzzles haha , maybe some hints for us smooth brains would be good.
The voices / noises were cool, some extra meaty slapping noises or something for when you become the giant burger would be cool too. :grinning:
Very nice artstyle. The levels are fun
