JUST A GHOST LOOKING FOR ITS BODY by smileyface 2019-10-09T11:26:29Z
Room with angry ghosts and bleepping light was too hard for me, because I had some troubles with performance of the game. But game is really unusual!

Funny game, but I couldn`d beat the last one
Thanks to all of you for your comments. We know about sound problem, but we didn't have enough free time to implement it. I hope I will be able to add some soudns into game on this weekend. Also I'll discuss our next steps based on your feedbacks with team. Thanks to all of you for playing)
Pretty fun game for a 10 hours sprint) Sounds can easy convey a feeling of the metro.
I think that calculation accuracy is not so accurate, but stars system is working. It would be really nice to see avaluation with money count system. For example each star gives 10$ to the Player. It would add some immersiveness and a goal for the Player.
Art in the game is really stylish.
Overall it looks interesting.
The game is pretty good looking. Graphics reminds me about TellTale's "The Walking Dead". Sounds are also good, especially music.
I think there can be added some pick up bunuses, e.g. shield, that protects you for a short time or another "weapon" to make the game more dynamic. Maybe also more types for enemies, e.g. Miner, who plants mines to change Player' tactic.
But I found a bug, where the camera moves inside the wall and the other one after death. Overall the game is definetely stylish
Funny puzzle game.
Core is pretty fun, sounds are fine too.
Game is challenging.
I think it would be great if there was some Planning screen, that allows the Player to see all the level before ressurection to plan his further movements. Or may be to have one more Lightning hit before the death.
It follows from this that there are no many shields to play the game comfortable. I couldn't pass the area with a lot of 23 and 7 lvl monsters, because I ran out of shields to return to the previous part of the location to upgrade my charracter.
Also I didn't understood how many enemies I need to kill to level up, so I couldn't save the princess even once(
I had this same game concept in mind when participating in the jam)
Sounds are good here and the labyrinth system is fine, but the game itself looks too monotonous-grey( Maybe if these blocks were different colors would be better?
Also, I think that it would be cool if there were some puzzles to solve on the level or something else except running (e.g. jumping on platforms?).
Animations are really cool I must say. When I saw these animations I just wondered "What a talented team", sheesh. Really nice job here.
Art and sound are definetelly very good and stylsih. Really nice job with it. But I didn't found out on how I was supposed to make notes( There was no notebook in the game for it) Unfortunately I couldn't find out who was a murderer in three tries, because I saw only one or two connections between posts)
@boxedmeatrevolution
Thank you for your feedback!
Honestly, we've planned to add this jumping element at the beginning of development, but it's hard to give the proper guide to the Player on what he needs to do. I know it can be done, but we couldn't figure out how to do it in a good way for such a short time.
Also, the game was planned to be longer, but we have only one 3D artist (@emty), so there wasn't enough time for him to make it longer as was planned).
As for the creepyness there was planned to be some creepy sounds (for creating them i've spent a lot of time), but again it needs a bigger amount of time to propperly add them according to the time-skipping concept, so each sound could represent certain time period.
@hagamosvideojuegos
Thank you for your interest!
It wasn't easy to plan these two rooms even with this small amount of puzzles for each. Because you have to think about the state of each room in three times simultaneously)
As for the parallel puzzles, you are absolutely right, but each additional parallel puzzle needs time not only for implementation, but for its planning as well. On the planning stage, you can't see exactly how much time each player has to spend, because you don't know how fast he'll resolve each puzzle. This is why you need testers in game companies).
@picttarge
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad, that you enjoy it.
@someone
Thank you for your interest! It's a pleasure to read, that you like it.
We are aware about the "waiting problem", parallel puzzles and manual time swithching.
The ambient is also in our improvement plan.
Our team will correct that in future updates.
@rekko
Thank you for the feedback.
We will add more parallel puzzles in future update.
@leekanarchism
Thanks for your feedback!
We have a plan for how to improve and update the game in the future with more puzzles and mechanics. But it definitely will take some time.
The atmosphere also will be improved with the existing time mechanic.
@fgamer99
We are glad that you enjoy it)
It wasn't easy for all of us for sure, but we wanted to make not just a one-time game, but a game, that can be improved for something bigger.
@sven-schoeling
Thanks for playing our game and that you like the concept)
We are aware of the "waiting problem" and we'll make an update to fix it as soon as possible.
@dreamerflow
I'm glad to read your comment)
As far as I know, problems with collision will be fixed in the future update (they are already fixed in the engine).
I like sounds too) There'll be more of them in the future.
@woahitsjeff
We are pleased that you like our game) Thank you!
Space - is definetely the theme, that not everyone likes and we like, that you are one of them. Because we achieved what we wanted with this game - that someone would like it.
As for "more" we are planning to update the game with some more puzzles and features. Of course it'll take some time(
@dileriuml
Thank you! We appreciate, that you enjoy our game.
Our artist (@emty) is a talented guy)
@adecon
Thank you for your interest) We are definitely pleased that you the game)
Did you have some troubles with performance? If so, let us know in the comments. We will try to fix it in future updates.
Because on our machines weren't any serious issues with it.
@substain
Thank you)
It was planned to make the game longer, but there wasn't so much time to implement all that we wanted to add( We will extend it in future updates.
@tanner-shelton
Thank you for your interest) We are pleased that you like our try to make a game)
@link270
Thank you for your feedback) One of our programmers had show me yesterday how he speedruns the game in 40 seconds or close to it.
Unfortunately, the audio was added at the very end, so we haven't enough time to make it better or to add more of it.
As for the art though our artist (@emty) have done a huge work, but we didn't have time to do everything as planned( This is also why the game is so short. There was one more puzzle room planned(
@beep-boop
Thank you for playing) We are aware of the "waiting" problem and we'll fix it in future updates.
Items for pick up also will be larger and we'll try to make the room design more Player-friendly.
What about the "time-reverse" mechanic you mentioned - I'll ask our team if it's possible to do without rewriting a ton of code)
Our team is discussing how to let the Player control the time-skipping and we have some ideas about it, so stay tuned.
@skel3ton
Thank you for playing) We'll try to figure out how Players can skip parts of the puzzle and we'll try to make puzzles more friendly in future
@alex-de-la-cour
Thank you for those words) We are really pleased)
@erlioniel
Thank you for playing.
Our team is creating a plan for how to get rid of this annoying waiting and bad-time skipping. We already have some ideas)
@reinhpash
Thank you) It wasn't easy to make this, really)
But it was fun to think about dozens of combinations, that you can make for puzzle game and how many of it is it possible to create in three days)
Essentially "How to make Portal without portals in three days")
@morc
Thank you)
We want to have more player feeedback too) Just joking.
You are right about animation and feedback overall, but it would be a big part of work.
Our 3d artist made a good job but it would take much more time to make more animations( We'll try to add more feedback for the player in future
@rjmarzec
There is a story in the game hidden so deep, that noone can find it) To be honest there were some audio tracks, that covers part of the story of the game world. But as other things they weren't added just because the lack of time(
Story parts we'll be added in future.
About the short end you are right too. Some more puzzles also will be in future.
Pretty good puzzle with an interesting mechanic.
Levels certainly need planning before the start of play. This part is really well made, but the time counter works as the turn counter, even though they are called "seconds".
What about graphics, I like it. It's stylish.
I had a bug when 2 character states are overlapping each other if you make a move before the end of the previous animation.
The concept is interesting, but if there was graphics It would be much, much better.
I think that the monster that is trying to sleep and wakes up when the Player shocks it in the background would make a deal.
It may be a darn scary game. I really like the sounds in the game. This lamp Noize is really something special) But other sounds are good too.
Also, the destruction system is something out of Battlefield) Really good job here as well.
The game can generate really fun situations. I spent 5 minutes walking near the wall in the infinite room knowing that the Shadow is on the other side of it moaning)
But it lacks some guidelines to the exit. I know it's a labyrinth, but as a Player, I don't know where to go at all. There are no pointers and I don't know how much time I have to spend to find an exit on one level.
I feel like a speedrunner after completing this puzzle XD Really nice job.
I like sounds and the idea itself. Maybe it lacks some mechanic like "take item - place item" to add more diversity to the game. But the game is fun and challenging. Cool.
Really nice game I think.
It reminds me of Hotline Miami. It definitely has a style. The environment really makes a deal. VFX also looks very very nice. Re-e-ally good job.
The sounds are also really nice. Just fits this game.
But at some point, I stuck and couldn't reach the end of the level.
And here is a lack of enemies. At each level, I ran to the exit and thought "When, when, when there will be enemies? I want them!"
Hi there!
I like this 80's, retro-style shooter. It's pretty good and reminds me about Alien Shooter, Max Payne and all this kinda retro stuff. The graphics are just hilarious and the sounds are good too.
In my opinion, the game lacks some background 8-bit music I think (can be easily made in a lot of sound-generators). It would be even more stylish with it.
Also, I would want see there some obstacles such as walls or trees. That makes the level more complex and requires tactical planning from the player.
Thank you for fun!
The game is truly good looking.
The graphics and sounds are impressive. The style of the game reminds me of "This War of Mine". But I didn't understand what I was supposed to do to complete the level(
Several times a "Press E button" text appeared, but pressing "E" do nothing I think.
Also this "I need to find my human" text didn't disappear in any way. Maybe there would be some hint that let me understand what to do.
The game is definetely scary, I like it.
Of course first of all this cutscene at the beggining really gives you a good start for the story.
Sounds are also really good. When I heard monsters for the first time I was really shocked.
It wasn't easy to navigate at first, 'cause there wasn't Player's position on the map, but with time I got used to it.
I think the game may have a potential for something bigger and story-related.
Pretty fun game, but the levels are too complicated for me)
It's all about timing here, as in Mario for comparison. Gravity changing is a fun feature. I wish there would a few more levels with it.
The graphics here are a bit too monotonous, so I couldn't see my character very well sometime, but the style overall is pretty good.
This timer on the center of the screen is a bit annoying.
Thank you for a good time.
Pretty good game I might tell. Good sounds and graphics, but the game looks too dark for me. Maybe it would better to make the green color lighter or change the color of the backgound to something lighter?
But the game gets too hard for me ~on 5th or 6th level) Also I think I may have had some control issues with the Player character dashed himself when he shouldn't.
But overall I like this retro-style game.
Good retro-style game. I like this graphic style overall and sounds. They fits perfectly to each other. But there was some places hard to pass (like in real retro-games)) Good execution. I like it really
I'm stuck on the third level, 'cause these yellow platforms disappears but don't appears again(
