Really cool game! Felt pretty polished.

Really cool game! Felt pretty polished.
I knew it right from the beginning! Actually I was totally clueless. I liked the visuals and the pixelart billboard characters. Was a bit inconsistent that the victim was fully 3D. Liked the panning of the camera as you change Location. I find the removing of the evidence a bit harsh. I actually restarted to get them all in time. There was also a problem, where the namelabels went higher and higher on the screen until I couldn't see them anymore. Loved the vibe overall! Nice little Story and details. The financial report with the graph and all was quite amusing! :D
Hope you had fun!
Really cool! Won all games. Found one bug tho! Actually in the Bug-Minigame. Killed all the Bugs and ONE ladybug in my last strike. So I won and lost at the same time. After that I got the menu screen plus a minigame playing in the background at the same time.
CJ and "Yeah!" were a nice addition :D
Cool game! Really was having fun, but sometimes it was a bit unforgiving. Personal I would enjoy more a start to finish feel instead of collecting. Didn't manage a singular level to beat. The character was cool, the visuals great, the music was one of the best I heard so far. Anyway with a bit more polish this really could be better than sonic (or already is). Oh maybe the faster you the more you are magnetic and pull those gems towards you? Just an idea. Really awesome job!
Okay that was fun! I liked the Art. Was pretty cute. At first I was totally caught off guard because it just started and I was right in the middle of the chaos! I didn't read the description to be honest and didn't knew what was going on, but after a minute or so it clicked. Also at first glance I couldn't make out which sprites are collision and which are items to pick up. Maybe the collision should just be plain toast (but nobody likes plain toast) or instead give the items an outline or make them move a little bit. The snake movement killed me two times because I got stuck. Made it pretty high up the Leaderboard :D Overall really cool idea and most importantly it was fun!
Loved it! Liked the disco ball hair :D I thought the whole time I could fall off the platform. Don't got really something to complain.
Hope you had fun making it!
Took me a while to figure this one out! On my first attempt I got zapped after holding the third zapper. After that the location of the bigger zapper changed right? Cool idea to lure the player to the correct spot by flashing the sides of the screen. The art style is rather unique! I liked it. The soundscape and the atmosphere were nice. A bit of music would be nice or a little story at the beginning. Cool entry! Hope you had fun making it.
The look is quite unique! Liked the visual. Also the hit marker sound was pretty cool. I tried multiple times. I find it hard to do the jumping/dashing and also focus on not getting fried. Maybe it would be better to just get a double jump from the purple thingies instead of a dash at the direction you facing. With the double jump you could aim at enemies and shoot and still make it to the crystal, but it is just an idea. What do I know? Also would be cool to have multiple levels instead of always beginning at the same spot. Sorry for all the critic and ideas, but I really cared for your game. I love Neon White and this reminds me of it. I think that's why. Had fun playing!
That was crazy good! Such a simple game but fun. All the sfx, screen effects were just right. The music was a banger and dynamic. Reminded me of Vampire Survivors. I got slow downs at the end. Got to wave 18.
Charming Art :) Reminds me of good old skribbl.io. Liked the little Minigames and the different Mechanics. At the bird thingy I hit the bomb first thing. Oh well. Played it twice. A little Highscore or a result at the end on how well one did would be nice. Also maybe harder variations? And also I believe at the basketballthingy I couldn't read it all in time. But I'm also a slow reader.
Hope you had fun!
Nice Game! Loved the little introduction.
Man this game is just great! This could really be a fleshed out thing and be sold. I loved the atmosphere and the sound and music. I wished the enemies got a little sparkle or something when they got a boon or something. Sometimes they were dashing at me and I hadn't a visual cue before hand, but that are minor things. Liked the story as well as the ending. Great job! I hope you had fun making it.
Really cool game. I loved the dynamic music. One thing that bothered me was picking up the stakes. Lovely visuals!
Had so much fun playing this game! I liked the level design. For example that there are 2 paths. One quick one and a slow one. Would love to see the dog being more dangerous. Can't really critize anything really. The music was also great. The character looked lovely.
Really fun game! I don't know if it's my fault but at the second last screen I pushed all buttons and the stairs didn't show up. On my second attempt it worked. Nontheless really cool idea (just played the original one - didn't knew it until now). Lovely graphics and fitting music.
Poor girl. Apparently the whole city wants to see this young lady dead! Was is up with this city anyway? Corpses flying from buildings, people shooting parrots?! Anyway. It was fun and challenging! I find the first major jump to the dirty window quite difficult. I would loved a little sparkle effect and sfx when a window is successfully cleaned! Also the levels were quite long. Maybe shorter ones but more? It's a flavour thing I guess. Oh and it took me way to long to figure out you can jump on drones and get pizza! Maybe a hint would be nice. The game and the visuels were quite charming! The music was fitting. Enjoyed it overall.
Quite cool! Also got the Problem with the keypad, but after many attempts it somehow worked. Feedback for pressing the buttons would also be nice. Reentering the already completed rooms felt a bit unnecessary. Visuels were charming, music was nice. Hope you guys had fun making it!
Get off my lawn pesky raccoons! This truly is a nightmare. Trampling crops, ruining my laundry, DANCING?! Seriously, when the first wave came in and they just started dancing while the music was playing I cracked up. Who ever came up with this idea is a genius. Made the game 10x more enjoyable for me. Took me a while to find all the carrots because I was too busy getting rid off these racoons (which isn't a bad thing!). Too bad after a restart you need to do the tutorial again, but not a major complain. The graphics were nice and the atmoshpere really cozy. Loved the little story bit at the beginning. On the 2nd attempt I got everything. I don't really know how you could lose. Racoons on all spots? I liked this one! Hope you had fun making it.
I liked it! Felt pretty polished. Loved the art. Sound effects and visual cues were just right. On some games I don't know what is happening or what I'm supposed to do. Not on this one. The haunted cake was quite funny :D Feels like everbody did their job just right.
Hope you had fun!
I liked it! Was pretty neat that you need to plan ahead! The visuels are really cute. I didn't like the mashing of buttons to be faster. A sprint key would be nicer I think - maybe with stamina. Oh and at my third try at the end I got the last item successfully (remote), but the time ticking went on endlessly and nothing ever happend :( Sorry Ms. Raccoon.
Can't fathom what a nun has to endure on a daily basis. Nice insight! Amazing graphics! Looks like Darkest Dungeon. I didn't understand the fighting at first, but on my third attempt I got it down. I guess at 10 seconds the wind was blowing? (edit: I now read the description - it does) Also I only used "A". Never did the wind blew from a different direction (I believe that was "D" for). Nice entry!
Now I want to be a fly. That one was fun and also funny! Good take on the theme. Spinning camera was a bit much after a while. At some point I had enough of these mean chefs and murderous frogs and just flew out the window! Some objectives would be nice. Like get into 3 soups or fly in someones face.
Hope you had fun making it!
Really really really cool game! Good job on the tutorial explaining everything and poiting at the important stuff. The music is fun! I managed to make 47$. It is not as easy as you might think, but I got faster and faster. Also I LOVE the fact that everytime you start a new attempt the ingredients might change. That kept me going just to see what else you can put on those burgers. Don't really know what to criticize. Only thing that bothered me was Cheese on H instead of C (shrugs). Art was also really clean looking.
Cool game! I love the music! Took me a while but got the hang of it eventually. Actually the hardest part for me was to navigate using the numpad (because of using 2 for down instead of S using WASD which is directly under the "up key" - I hope that makes sense). Well done!

Hi! I downloaded the 3HL version because the web version had no sound. It would be nice to see the controls ingame. I read the description, but I learned most of the people don't. Apparently I can only destroy the red turrets. A visual or sound cue on hitting something would be nice. Also I got a bit overwhelmed by the amount of enemies on the first wave. Would be nice to be more eased in at first. I choose your game to play because the cover art looked awesome! Also the game itself looks nice and cohesive. Reminds me of TRON. The music was cool!
Liked your little game right there! Loved it when the camera and gravity shifted. The voice over helped it quite a bit. Music and sound was fitting. I can see, that this could be really fun with tight platforming etc. Most satisfying was the last Button Push :) Too bad about the html, but so what.
I read the comments but I still can't figure out how to beat level 4 (clicked on the sign saw the #). Can you give me another tip? The music is cute and I feel like a headless chicken!
Okay I broke out! Nice ending screen. Oh also the title screen was cute and the music was nice. No one told me I'm a good pig until today! I found it a bit harsh to make it to the first checkpoint. Maybe every room would be nice, but after a while I got the controls down. I think you would really benefit from learning about coyote frames etc. Here is a good summary with an example for making really smooth controls for a platformer: http://www.davetech.co.uk/gamedevplatformer. It's really insightful! I really had fun playing! Hope you had fun making it!
Got 7 encounters down. I'm not into turn-based games, but this one was simple, challenging and still fun! Great work!
It is my first game ever actually (with a beginning and an end that is). I did everything by myself and from scratch (except the glass cracking sound, but that was public domain). Totally forgot to add some insights. These 3 days were tough. Don't got the full 72 hours because of important privat stuff. Hated the theme... Was nervous the whole time... Boy oh boy. But I learned a lot! And I'm glad I made it in the end.
@ginahe
Thank you for your lovely comment! <3 I agree. Controls are something I want to get right in the future. I hesitated to make the game more stressfull or too difficult. Was afraid people get frustated. I watched some of my friends play it or tell me their experiences in great detail. Some of them didn't even knew they could move or dash. Just used the mouse. So much things to consider and get right.
Didn't knew about the Zerg Queen (cool resemblance) or the overmind (Pictures were quite scary lol).
Thanks again! Really made me smile.
@jared-n @kostas-nik
Thanks for commenting! Yeah the automatic shooting came from my first idea at making a game like Vampire Survivors. So I left it in, but now I also think it would have been better to give the player only one chance to destroy all fuses in ONE go in 10 seconds with bullets on demand or click (maybe just 10 of them) - so you really need to memorize them, but that idea came very very late. I made 8 of the 10 levels in the last two hours of the jam. At my play testing I didn't like the fact, that you destroy say 7 of 8 fuses and have to wait 10 seconds again without anything to do (in the rooms without enemies). Sorry for the long reply, but I liked both of your critics and wanted to share my thought process :D
@robert-li
Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah I'm aware because a friend of mine told me the same thing! I just uploaded a new version where the player don't stand directly on top of the exit in the first room. So you have to move now! Also added clearer instructions on first screen about the movement itself. Thanks for playing! <3
@aurel300
Thanks for your critic! Yeah I also think being more in control (also tighter controls in general) would be nice. First I wanted to make an auto-attack/shooting game like vampire survivors. I just left it in. I also wanted to make a sound cue for the dash (while doing it and being ready again), but focus shifted to other things (the sfx for the timer was also a very late addition). Only added a orange flash (and her hair being orange) but that really isn't enough. Some people even forgot they got a dash ability! But oh well all that really came to me in last few hours of the jam :) Made 7 of the 10 levels in the last two hours actually. Thanks again! <3
Oh also yeah the bounce was just because I found out about RigidBodies in Godot and wanted to use it! Oh well :D
@nick-gozak
Thanks for your critic and feedback! I thought about it for a while and I think I know the problem. Did you click to shoot? By clicking she is dashing. Shooting is automatic every second. I removed it now and uploaded a new version. Normally she should only dash by tapping Shift, Alt, Ctrl or Space. I don't know why I left left click to dash in. Feels pretty unintuitive, because you don't dash at the direction of your mouse cursor.
I agree on it being too dark. I think in fullscreen it is alright, but in the very last hour of the jam as I uploaded my cover art I was thinking to myself "Boy oh boy this is way too dark!". Couldn't fix it in time unfortunately :( Next time I also want to make a game more colourful.
Thanks for checking it out!
@flying-dog-fish
Hi! Thanks for playing and your feedback! I'm rather curious what you mean by erratic movement? Erratic movement of the orbs (bouncing of the walls / that can be sometimes unfair), enemies (on their repeating 2D path) or the player? Some people click to shoot, but clicking actually activates the dash. Shooting is automatic every second. Could that be it? It is an oversight on my part. I removed it now in the new version. I think some people got confused by it. And it is unintuitive, because you don’t dash at the direction of your mouse cursor.
@bloodbane
Thanks for playing and your suggestion! Really glad you kept going! :blush: I added now a dash meter with sfx into the post jam version (got requested a lot actually - thought of it by myself but time was too short). Now I think you can get a good idea of when you are allowed to dash with or even without looking at the character.
Best wishes!
@boclow
Hi! Thank you so much you took the time and for your positive feedback! Actually I added now a post jam version. In this one everything is a bit faster. You can now shoot by yourself by clicking and also more often. And you also need to destroy all fuses in one go now. Otherwise the room starts over.
Thanks again for checking it out! <3
@almost
Thanks for your comment! At first I thought it was a cool idea you got 10 seconds while you can read. But that only works in the first few rooms. When enemies are in the room you can't really do that. A little too much going on. Now I think a classic dialog box would have been nice (maybe even in between rooms) while the game is waiting for your input (but wouldn't had the time to implement anyway I guess...).
Yeah I thought it is a good idea to let the player go through another 10 seconds of survival if he didn't manage to shoot all fuses and let him have another go. Was also a bit afraid people might get frustated.
Now I added a post jam version. In this one it is not possible anymore and you need to finish the room in one go, but you can shoot more often and by yourself by clicking. Character and bullets are a little faster. I think it is a good compromise (actually want to add a difficulty setting), but overall slightly tougher!
Thanks again for your feedback and sorry for the long text! <3
I loved the visuals and the atmosphere. I like those billboarded sprites in a 3D environment. Especially if they look like they do here. The gameplay fell a little short like other mentioned already. The music and characters were sweet.
Really cute game! Only frustrating part was the last jump. Somehow I just walked off the icey thing and my jump didn't register, but after the fourth attempt it worked! Really nice graphics. I love the walking animation. Good touch was the story! Really felt like I accomplished something. Cool idea with the seasons. With a little tune it really would have been perfect in my opinion! I hope you had fun making it!
@haotian-chen Oh, I meant at the very last level (normal level 3, one ice). Could also been on my part, but didn't quite felt right. I'm sure you will figure things out. Like I said I think you did a great job! Getting a platformer feel perfect isn't an easy task (let alone in 3 days). If you don't mind I found a really good write up on making platformer just feel right. But maybe you already know about coyote jumps and jump buffering (last section of the page): http://www.davetech.co.uk/gamedevplatformer
Really soothing game! I like the art and the music. The ball is a cool idea! I'm not sure why I can only control one slime with the arrow keys. The last one selected would be nice. Reminds me of slime rancher. I also think some mini games would be nice or objectives like getting a special colour of slime or a certain amount? Just throwing ideas around. I think this is a nice entry!
I love it! Best game I played so far. Really felt like a hacking Frog typing important things on my Numpad. Only Critic I got is the constant mashing WASD to move. Would be nice just to hold the button. Liked the little Story and of course the frog. Maybe it would also be nice to add moving trash bins. So you actually can get caught. Only got one time in the trash, but I only because of curiosity. Stayed a bit longer on the ending Screen for the music! Overall cool.
Hope you guys had fun!
Cool thing was the colourblind mode and actually to see what the right option is! I got the red-green-thingy and always forget what it is properly called (actually doesn't bother me too much - only in a few cirumstances). First I was confused what I was supposed to do. Know the keys but didn't now to spam it! Walked pass the first obstacles by walking through the forest nearest to my point of view. Liked the idea much! And was actually scared sometimes and needed to strategize and think ahead. Really cool! The Atmosphere was great!
Cute character! Liked the light and shadow effects. Got through it quite well after getting used to the controls. I think making a platformer feel perfect is a huge undertaking and just can't be achieved in 3 days. I think you did a good job! I wished there were more levels! The little story and introduction was cool! I like these little things. Music was nice.
Hope you had fun making it!
