this is a really great interpretation of the theme and a fine puzzle. Graphics are nice, sound design is so as well. I wished that it was a little faster in pacing but well, thats the due to the theme I guess

The mecanics are simple but clear. I find that the different encounters are really long, and can be boring, but the design of the different powerups feels good and balanced.
Good job!
I saw your game on Tobugis stream, that's a great entry!
I really like your core gameplay. The difficulty and the ramp up is also perfectly tuned up. The mechanics are easy to understand and grasp yet quite hard to fully master. The only thing I would add is an indication on the max ship health, and maybe more feedback when the ship takes damage and how much, because it is not really clear without looking at the tool tips atm.
One final unrelated advice, you should definitly add more screenshot to your game description, that'll motivate people to try it!
3d models for the ships is insane! shaders for attack and shield feel so cool! this turn based strategy thing you created is very new and bold. I really imagine a full game with this mechanics. The EMP power is genius. I think having more attacks and variety of strikes could make this a very competitive strategic game. One suggestion I would do however, perhaps having a list of the moves the enemy has (it would be like, you know the ship and you know what it can do, but you don't know the order) and removing the ? blocks entirely from the enemy line, would make more sense to emulate a "real" ship battle. But that is just me, the game is awesome already, amazing entry!
Real Nice mechanics! I love them so much 💖
Graphics are quite good. Really had to think my tactics. Core mechanics where good but there was something missing. Adding some kind breathing room between enemies (like selecting your route in FTL) would help with pacing.
Hands down best game mechanics I've seen for a while. That combined with the professional level graphics and sound/music makes this a very nice entry. Very good job guys!
Wow what a game. Made it to encounter 7 on my second try.
Is it endless? (otherwise I think I died at the boss battle)
Made it a few rounds while also repairing my ship every now and then, at round Nr5 I discovered that energy also stays between fights - but at that point, it was probably too late. Played it for about 30min I think - which is quite long to start over, so yea, a checkpoint for "long" games is always a good idea. (or player lives, would also work, anything that makes it a bit more forgiving)
Still had a lot of fun with your entry, it's great and has a wonderful, innovative puzzle-combat-system. (as well as cool graphics and sound)
Thanks for making this game, it's amazing. :)
@leorid the boss appears at encounter 8 and then keeps reappearing until you lose - so you could technically push for a high score of "encounters survived" there, but that's obviously kind of oversimplified for an "endless". Glad you enjoyed it ^^
@hexstart Yea it said "encounters survived 7" so this was the boss I guess, comming in with lots of HP and Energy. xD The Combat System you crafted could work with a lot of game types. Anything where you have a map to explore and occasional encounters like "A Dark Room", "FTL", "Bad North". Would be cool to see this in a full game. :)
Rock paper scissors in space! I like it
Dev is sus, boss is a lie! :D Amazing game everyone, we loved it a lot. Here is the glorious moment that we took down the enemy with us. Glad we didn't break the game XD https://clips.twitch.tv/GlutenFreeArtisticWerewolfBudBlast-SfAxylqhF4TA44Hf
@burchyn OR IS IT ^^'

One of the best games in the jam I've played so far.
played this on stream and got mildly addicted :')
that final boss was cruel!
Honestly, just freaking superb. I don't know how yall were able to come up with those mechanics during a game jam and execute on it so well. I would probably play a full version of this for hundreds of hours. Evokes the same dopamine hit for me as games like Slay the Spire and FTL.
Game looks great and plays great. I had a lot of fun playing. I found the decisions and tradeoffs really interesting, the slot-based attack system was clever and unique. Great job!
A very good game, the concept is well thought it's fun and challenging. I got to 9 encounters, the third Glorious Emperor got me but I was able to beat 2 of them before that x) GG
DO NOT SHIT.png
Got 7 encounters down. I'm not into turn-based games, but this one was simple, challenging and still fun! Great work!
Definitely a really polished game and a kinda fun one with a turn based mechanic that at least I haven't seen before. That was kinda hard to work around at times. Which is always nice. Also a bit of a roguelike element I guess, though, not really since it seems like you get everything in a set order. But, still a bit with the runs setup, and I could be wrong on the order.
The only real thing I'd say is that early on the enemies were a lot more blatant/easy to read with how they were fighting, but that pretty quickly became less of a complaint as I got more attacks and I kept getting dang EMPd!
Though it is a little bit of a "just figure it out" game it's not terrible about, it was mostly easy to figure out what as going on after the first couple turns which is nice. Although descriptions of specifically what everything does or a accurate display of power usage per your setup every turn would be nice. For example I spent a bit not realizing that the EMP took power, and so I was using it then trying to use a titan beam and being confused as to why I couldn't. Thought I EMPing my own thing.
To be fair it did say energy cost on it, I just somehow didn't read it. For general planning it would be nice to have a little +/- for the power amount. That and.. and this might just be me, it might make more sense for it to be "energy" rather than power? Cause I assumed it was a buff, not a resource. Based off the name and the coloring being yellow.
Overall though like I said a really polished game that I had a lot of fun with.
Wow. Wow wow wow.
Gorgeous (for a jam game or otherwise), fun, exciting. . .
10/10 folks. My current GOTJ. ;)
Absolutely superb across the board. A genuinely good game without even accounting for the fact it's a jam game. I've already played this way longer than any other so far. Top marks, no question. Also my favourite so far. Congrats to the team on a fantastic piece of work.
This one got me really excited! The core of the game can easily be expanded into a full game with a lot of room for expanding upon the existing mechanics! I don't know of other games that use this kind of timeline mechanic, but combining that along with rogue-lite deck-building mechanics, including upgrading actions to, for example adjust their duration, their damage or their energy cost, feels like a recipe for success. I had a lot of fun playing it already, so I can't even imagine how cool a full version would be.
Really amazing work across the board, great job!
Though this was a fantastic rogue like. I love both expanding array of optins as you get deeper but also the way that recongising the size of what the enemy is doing becomes part of the cat and mouse game. I hope you expand on this beyond the jam. Would love to see a more complete polished version of this.
Good fun! And the graphics look so good too! It runs well even in browser.
Much fun!
i liked the mechanic idea and the design of the spaceships. webgl game was a bit laggy on my computer but it was ok. really nice entry!
