LD45 — Start with nothing

Mongol Space Program by mortus 2019-10-09T13:05:48Z

What ? I don't know what happened but i love it !

SectClicker by themarioga 2019-10-09T12:07:34Z

An idle clicker where you can die, neat!

The Island by Sanguis 2019-10-08T10:28:32Z

Lovely game ! Really enjoyable

Space trial by PaulLyaudet 2019-10-09T14:39:16Z

Neat little game! The mechanic to swap card in your deck is a little bit hard to grasp at the beginning I think.

Also, most of the combat are really easy

The Persistent Thief by Darylsteak 2019-10-08T18:59:07Z

Really impressive, especially for a compo ! I love your art style.

The beginning is pretty hard !

Those sheep are just wonderful

Spirit Path by marcell-balog 2019-10-08T18:47:11Z

I love your art style, I think it's fitting the mood really well too !

The only downside I could find is that the character is maybe a little bit too slow. A little bit more speed would have make the game more challenging I think :)

FactoriNode by Ender7 2019-10-09T12:39:35Z

Extremely addictive, good job ! I was also amazed by how much content you put in too (especially in such a short time) !

Sticky Squares by Friedrich Eibl 2019-10-08T22:01:51Z

Oh a Android game, that's refreshing for a game jam! We need more of them!

You're game is pretty fun, but I thougt the jump button was frustrating : I think on touchscreen buttons are feeling better and more reactive when they are set to trigger when **pushed down** instead of the usual triggering when **released** that's usually used for keyboaed/mouse inputs.

Finally you should put more screenshots in your game post, so people are more encline to try it out

FROGBERT: Road to Culinary Stardom by trmrddr 2019-10-09T13:12:21Z

quite nice with this cute little frog, too bad the isometric control are so hard to get used to. The music is fitting really well the overall mood !

It's a really nice entry !

*Edit : This is your first game jam ?? Congrats on the amazing job !*

Forbidden Fruit by OnurY 2019-10-09T13:20:36Z

What a surprising concept ahaha  !

I found that the short projectile range was really frustrating for me.... but I suck with game like that one in general...

A bard's Journey by Kanonix 2019-10-09T10:02:08Z

Impressive for a first entry!

I like your music ^^

I just have a question : is the black bars where you're supposed to tap intended or is the graphic bugging on my device (since it look totally different than the art style of everything else)? Screenshot_20191009_120018.jpg

Zmaaone by Furano 2019-10-08T13:04:44Z

Thank you for your kind comments  !

We'll add a windows version and source code soon

Zmaaone by Furano 2019-10-09T09:45:49Z

@lars-erik nah you're not, it's just that the level right in between the first one and the second one had to be scrapped last minute because of a nasty bug, so the difficulty ramp up quite quickly...

Hmm yes maybe for the diode but right now space management is also part of the puzzle (at least for now) ^^

Thank y'all for playing and for your feedbacks btw!

Zmaaone by Furano 2019-10-15T09:56:37Z

Thaks for the really useful feedbacks @mao & @taddl! We choose not to improve the game post jam, therefore there are still some game breaking bugs sadly....

I'm glad you were still able to enjoy part of it!

So do you think the difficulty is well calibrated or can something be improved in this regards?

Zmaaone by Furano 2019-10-22T09:10:44Z

@mao a level in between the first and second one was designed to teach how diodes works, but had to be scrapped last minute because of bugs

@omiya-games thank you very much for the honest and useful feedback and also for play testing our game ! We'll definitely try to add most of what you said in our next jam : every feedback on how to make the game less obscure is more than welcome :)

The Desert of Nothingness by Douwe_Ravers 2019-10-07T22:43:57Z

I had a hard time understanding the gameplay too. But the graphisms and the small touch of humour were nice !

Maybe you should put factual numbers instead of just dollars sign when buying somethin.

It's still an awesome job for a first game, good job !

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Surround Them! by Aune 2020-10-05T20:02:33Z

Quite a solid entry indeed, especially for a one-man team !

I love the art style and feedbacks are well done without being over the top. It's also really easy to understand, especially with the short explanations.

The only thing I had more trouble with is controlling the ship itself. It might be because it is unusual but I was quite surprise that arrows are moving the ship in their direction (left to move the ship to the left for example) instead of rotating the nose of the ship. It was however not much a problem anymore after a few attempts.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Post Solis by Nikolay Zapolnov 2022-04-06T19:08:30Z

I'm really impressed by what you achieved in such a short time ! However it might be beneficial to add a little bit more feedbacks to spice things up a bit.

KRANT by pepnou 2022-04-06T18:22:46Z

I was really impressed by your ambiance : the little camera travelling at the beginning, the movie at the end whern you fail... it's unusual for a jam game and quite appreciated ! You could however use more feedback, especially during those movies : sound, screen shakes, etc...

A fun game, great job !

Unfaithable by Furano 2022-04-06T18:43:05Z

**Thanks a lot everyone !!**

@jean-francois We ran short on time so our favorite guest-stars didn't make it sadly.... :( But if you look well some old TGV are hidden somewhere ๐Ÿฅท

@matt-e thanks for trying ! Our pathfinding is definitly lacking... We'll probably fix it soon in a new version.

@davision the idea with the time travel was to always rewind to the last time you saved your buddy when you died and time is just replaying until you can same your other character. We definitly should have spent more time on the tutorial...

Thanks for the try and the tips @jkyd ! it is fixed now :)

Unfaithable by Furano 2022-04-06T19:11:40Z

Thanks for the comments everyone !

@sawtan, @Joror being swarmed to death is *definitly* part of the gameplay ;) We will however look into this camera issue and improve our pathfinding to make another map a little bit bigger, once the jam rating is finished

Unfaithable by Furano 2022-04-07T21:28:16Z

Thanks y'all for the great feedbacks! ๐Ÿ˜Š

@moooks we will release another version with bugfixes for the camera (as well as the pathfinding) tomorrow if you're interested :)

@lvl99chicken @andrground I'm glad you liked it! We'll definitly improve the tutorial and make it skippable soon. Making the character constantly shot will be a good improvement too! Thanks for the idea!

1 Man 6 Bullets by Raphaeltan 2022-04-06T19:01:14Z

That.. was really good !!! Great job !

I had a lot of fun playing yor game : the idea is great, the arts and sound are really fiting, commands are clear and simple to understand. A solid entry !

I just had some bugs while shooting ennemy at point blank range: sometime the bullet just goes trough them and I die :(

Delaying Ludum Dare by Emily Pitcher 2022-04-06T18:48:56Z

You just perfectly described my weekend !! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

... and btw, it's definitly Da-ray !! ;)

Wait For It ! by Forgin Bits 2022-04-06T18:34:25Z

Wow, I'm really impressed ! I loved every second i spent on your game. The mini games are fun ,the art is quite good, the music is not bad at all and the FX are well made and fun (I loved the little falling candle voices :candle: ).

A really solid entry !

The End Is Coming by MOOOKS 2022-04-06T18:12:47Z

I loved all those weird goggly eyes !

WE ARE DOOMED by andrground 2022-04-06T18:17:13Z

Fun little game !! However I had a lot of trouble with the inverted mouse control. Maybe you could add a toggle for that in a future version ? Or use right click for moving and left click for interacting, that could be nice too :)

Have you though about trying to compile it for Smartphone ? It may be really suitable and a fun little experiment !

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Weirdo Words by SimplePotential 2022-10-07T15:27:02Z

I tired the webgl version of this game on my phone and it worked quite well by clicking each letters! I liked the fact that you added the support for multiple ways of typing the word, which allowed me to play it on my mobile device.

The game itself is good : it is a simple idea but well executed! Well... English is not my main language so I sucked really bad at it but it's still quite fun and stressful!

You could have added some color and feed a make playing the game more exciting however.

One more thing, I liked the idea of daily challenge! That is great to motivate us to keep on coming back to your game!

Power Surge 51 by vidarn 2022-10-06T16:24:39Z

A really impressive entry for a compo! I am really impressed by both the quality and quantity of what you achieved in such a short amount of time :o

What engine did you use (if any?)? Did you have a any pre-jam cosebase (no judgment at all, I'm just trying to comprehend how people like you manage it ahah)?

Last point, I found your puzzle design quite clever. Most level looked really dumb at first until I stumbled on unsuspected issues and troubles and had to rethink my whole design multiple times ahah

Only issue for me was that it was quite laggy on my phone using the html5 version. But it's not a recent phone by any mean so nothing surprising here.

Power Surge 51 by vidarn 2022-10-07T06:52:37Z

Thanks a lot for the detail explanation. That was really interesting!! Your set of tool is really impressive! I understand now how you can be so efficient in that short time span.

I'm now especially interested in that synth part, will have to look more into it ahaha.

TENSEC tactics by praleks 2022-10-07T16:59:56Z

I tried this game on my phone. Surprisingly it worked quite well! However I could use the upgrades multiple time and thus had an overpowered team really quickly. Is that normal?

I liked your graphism, especially the evolution over the top of the character! It reminded me of the kind of thing you see in fake mobile game ads (in a good way ). Or an old card game that I forgot the name... Anyway that is great!

The gameplay do feel utterly random however. It would have been nice to have some kind of choice or more control over the upgrades. Maybe by letting you chose between multiple possible upgrades every ten seconds or something similar.

Cook'n'Slash! by Nikolay Zapolnov 2022-10-07T15:40:24Z

What modification did you do since the official jam submission? I see that your upload are from latter on but I can't find your changelog... :( Is there a way to play the original version?

Cook'n'Slash! by Nikolay Zapolnov 2022-10-07T19:12:03Z

@nikolay-zapolnov Thanks for the precision! :) I wasn't able to try tour game today but will definitly do, seems like a really fun one!

Cook'n'Slash! by Nikolay Zapolnov 2022-10-09T18:56:13Z

Great grame !! I had lots of fun (and laugh) plpaying this !! Good jobs !

I only had two issues with your game: * First off the combat are too easy, you can just click on the left mouise button and go rambo and you'll be fine since there are so many health drop. * I had some audio issues where two tracks were playing at the same time, which lead to ugly and weird audio. Which is a shame because your music and sound Fx are rally good ! And the character voiceover are absolutely marvelous !

A really good entry, congratulation to all of you !

Tenjutsu by deepnight 2022-10-03T20:24:58Z

Love your animations ! They are so lively and full of life ! you can feel all the **impact** from those fists... *oumf* ! :fist:

A great compo entry, congratulation !

Home Office Hero by lexi 2022-10-05T19:52:31Z

.... That's just exactly what I did this afternoon !

Nice little game, I finished in 41s ! I just has a small bug with the red shirt in the tv room vanishing...

Beat boss by freso 2022-10-08T13:33:58Z

I really like how you made the arena ๏ผit is simple yet really give an impression of depth.

It's a really chill game with us being immortal. It's a nice change of pace for a while!

I was just wondering what was that big baby supposed to do? He just stood near me. Here without doing anything and being shot in the ass by some archer.... That was weird

Space Lord X by CrociDB 2022-10-06T16:07:09Z

Nice game, loved your particle effects! I kinda sucked at it however ahah... I think it would have helped me quite a lot if the player spawned facing more toward the center then on the side like that.

Ten-Second Murder by lectvs 2022-10-07T17:53:12Z

I tried this game on my phone with the html5 version. Worked like a charm!

You made a really fun game! The presentation is really good, the gameplay is fun and engaging and you really want to try again and again and again.

I'm impressed by the quality of what you made in 48h! Congratulation for this wonderful entry!

Silvi by nardandas 2022-10-06T12:13:47Z

Hi there, I tried it on my phone like you recommended in one of your post. I was able to move the various tools and the sun/wind but the plant never grew up however, both in zen and story mode :'(

The UI and window framing was perfect on my device otherwise!

Fire 'n' Snail by neowhoru 2022-10-05T19:41:58Z

funny little game with those killer snails everywhere !

I had some trouble with the gameplay however : I felt like the movment was really floaty and felt unresponsive. Maybe buffing up the character acceleration by a lot and rising a little bit the deceleration could do the trick ?

10 Second Laps by albertnez 2022-10-07T17:26:30Z

Simple yet effective!

I tried the html5 version of this game on my phone and it worked really well! Was fun, thanks for this entry!

miam by yopox 2022-10-06T19:10:48Z

Pretty fun game ! I had some trouble with somme font however, like I always wanted to press *B* for the eggs instead of *E* because I couldn't differentiate both :S

The First Fire by scottgoldsmith 2022-10-06T16:31:02Z

Nice retro-gaming vibes!

I found it quite difficult to know when the night was coming which lead to countless night of feasting for the wolves... Also a tiny detail that surprised me at first is how easily the wolf go literraly trough the fire to catch you even though it is supposed to be afraid of it. A minor detail but it still surprised me a lot at first.

Dodge48 by thesnide 2022-10-07T22:16:21Z

Wait what you did that in 4 hours only?? That is really great in that case!

Would have love a bot feature however.... But I'm pretty sure you had to cut a lot of thing to make it fit into that time span. good job!

10 Second Painter by sebastianscaini 2022-10-06T10:00:19Z

The game was stuck with the progress bar at 100% for me... I was on the html5 version.

Long Shot by F1Krazy 2022-10-10T17:55:04Z

Nice old school vibe ! The graphics are great !

However I found it quite difficult to grasp where the hitbox of the ship was... It took me quite a while to realize that only the cockpit could be hit by bullets.

I also found the control super unintuitive. Why the heck **Z** ?? I was stuck in the menu without being able to read the tutorial until I learned about the command. It would have been super useful if the continue/fire button was mapped to multiple common commands, so people don't fumble around and use the one they prefer. For example, you could have mapped it to E, space, enter, left click, etc...

While the core idea with the 10s is good, Idid find it quite boring however. Would have been lovely to add something to do in-between the 10s timer, like dodging or shooting less effective bullets.

Oh one more thing, I looved your intro before the menu !! Really well made !

BeaT-Rex by Andreas Roschal 2022-10-05T20:12:53Z

OOH loved that TV effect !And that music ! it beats perfectly withthe gameplay !

A very neat entry full of potential ! Could definitly see it as a mobile game or a quick pc game almost as is. Great job !

Sunk Cost Fallacy by Mara 2022-10-09T19:12:13Z

The aesthetic is minimalist yet understandable fast and efficiently.

The gameplay is quite fun, but I feel like there is way too much trialand error. How are we suppose to know how long eevery action swill takes ? And how do we know that climbing up the stairs takes 2s (or more...) without dying first ? That kind of removed the fun of the game for me.

The concept is great, good idea !

A background music could have really enhance the modd of the gamer, but I understand that with the jam constraint it is really hard...

Bug Zapper by Diego Escalante 2022-10-06T20:00:31Z

Fun little game! it is much harder than what it seems at first. I really like the feedback you put in place : we can really feel the laser zapping those poor insects... Good job!

I would have liked if the hitboxes were a tiny bit bigger, I had some trouble clicking them sometime. I'm bitrreally precise with a mouse however ๐Ÿ˜…

Space Kitten by Renan Felipe 2022-10-04T17:00:21Z

The control are really weird to get used to. Why not mapping the jump button to space ? Or even better, to multiple keys if possible so anyone can chose what they prefer. The level design is quite nice: challenging but still doable !

My cat hated all those *meows* *meows* tho :joy_cat:

Carton Carrier by dimlight 2022-10-05T20:51:22Z

I had lot of fun playing this game ! A great execution of a good idea !

I would simply have loved to know a little bit in advance which piece I was going to get, to make planning build a little bit easier. Moreover, I found it disapointing that I couldn't focus on the unit currentoly battling to see how it performed since I hace to constantly build new vehicles franticaly.

An otherwise really great and fun entrey, congrats !

Dread Shadows by magus77 2022-10-10T17:47:22Z

I liked the ambiance of your game quite a lot ! It was well made for a jam game !

The game idea is good, however you forgot to disable world ambiant lighting so it was really easy to navigate even when the light was out. The music was good and moody. However soundstep with echo could really reinforce the mood and the feeling of being trapped below earth...

I loved the various props you put here and there, really add up to the ambiance !

Medieval Politics by sillyman987 2022-10-06T17:15:29Z

Loved the humour in there!!

But like other, the Nan issue plagued my playtroughs... :k

Please let me know if you fix it, I'll gladly play another round!

10 Second Backdoor by CreepyCatdev 2022-10-06T20:10:20Z

The little moment of story in between are great! Puzzle aren't that easy with the 10s timer

Cubical Mayhem by pepnou 2022-10-07T22:29:20Z

I loved this world on a rubikube! So imaginative! And the switching effect was also really well done!

The music is also impressive, love what you did! That's what brought me here with your post from earlier ahah

ร€ great entry, congrats

Racoon-aissance by Kimmyx47 2022-10-04T19:59:13Z

Sorry the game was not loading for me for an unknown reason... Would it be possible to upload it on itch.io too ? That may help with this issue, as the ld server might be on its knee as usual

Neat and creative little game!

I tried to play it on my phone and it worked surprisingly well. I could definitly see it released as a little mobile game after a little bit more polishing!

Prize Pumpkin TD by slimefriend 2022-10-04T19:22:16Z

It is quite expensive tho :/

10 seconds Delirium by Furano 2022-10-05T20:30:20Z

@arktas It is, but the dificulty gets capped after a while. So if you are not too bad at that type of game it's easy to just stay alive forever. Adding differents levels and a ending would have been awesome but clearly didn't fit within the jam timeframe...

10 seconds Delirium by Furano 2022-10-07T07:31:16Z

Thank you for the feedbacks everyone!

@digitaldude555 @krakadushka @diego-escalante yes definitly! We were not able to because "game jam", but would have live to add a narrative progression + some levels. Someone also suggested making the calm portion evolve depending on what you did in the shooter session, which I find awesome too!

@neisha that's a really weird bug... We never saw it yet and you're the first one to report it. I'll look into it! Thanks for letting me know!

10 seconds Delirium by Furano 2022-10-08T13:40:58Z

@nardandas @otterfaelure I definitly agree with you, having some sort of story on multiple level, or even better having a narrative in 2D being influenced by the shooting in 3D would have been awesome. But we ran out of time sadly. Thanks for your feedbacks!

@ksimaster thanks a lot!! I'm really happy to see that you enjoyed our game. Stay tuned for the next ludum then ;) I'll check your game which look really fun whenever I get back on near computer

@otterfaelure @sipfindel I know right?? I never knew it would be so satisfying before doing that game ahah  Thanks for your feedbacks

10 seconds Delirium by Furano 2022-10-10T07:13:20Z

Thanks everyone for playing and for leaving quality feedbacks. It mean a lot to us and helps us improves !

@jackaljk I know, the yin-yang looks dead simple but it's surprisingly messing up with the brain because of the controls... We know for the repetitivness, would have love to improve this by adding levels of some kind but we ran out of time.

@kitkii no the difficulty is currently caped after a while. Which in insight is a mistake, people should have died whatever happens. It just that we never though people would play our h'game for more than 5 minutes ahah ๐Ÿ˜…

@zachary-shah thanks! A lot of dev time went on making them feel good with a lots of feedbacks and Fxs. Glad it paid of! The downside is that indeed we ran out of time to make proper levels. But you can see my other comments for ideas to what we could to to make it less repetitive if you are interested.

The gameplay itself is fun, however I felt like the beginning was too slow.... It didn't make me wabt to try again to beat my highscore because I would have to go trough it again.

The embedded tutorial is perfect, simple, fast and efficient. A great addition to your game!

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-04T19:46:06Z

Really cute game ! The graphics are lovely !

I loved the fact that you are nopt idle while the bunny are working : you can still help them to speed up the process so it's never boring. I think it's a really neat addition to simply controlling the bunny.

It took me 160 year to make poda happy... That clearly still took waaay too long for him however

Field O' Fiends by Baconeta 2022-10-07T15:18:14Z

Nice litlle game!

I tried the webgl build on my phone. Control where hard to handle, with the provided joystick sometime not returning to their zero, so the character kept walking/attacking without me inputing anything. It is however a really cool feature to have added those to play on mobile, especially for a jam game!

I also felt like the feedbacks could be improved upon, especially for the attack animation. You never really know if you hit something or miss. A hit animation on the ennemies (like juste turning red for a few frame for example) would have helped a lot.

The art was cute and diversified, well done!

One more good point, your tutorial is short, comprehensive and goes directly to the point. It is this really easy to know what to do from the first try.

Needy Pixel Kitties by Aaron Smith 2022-10-04T19:28:14Z

I admit I feel lied to : it neither had the mechanical depth of Monster Hunter nor the deep world building of Elden Ring... But it had cats ! Tons of cats ! And that's awesome too ! :smiley_cat: Anyway, a fun little game, I liked it.

Too be honest I'm still a little bit disapointed that the tutorial isn't in Comic sans MS

SENSATIONS by etrealjunior 2022-10-07T17:39:44Z

Very nice game! The platforming sensarion is great! Your animation is also really good. That is not the case for the "drunk" shader however, it made me really dizzy ๐Ÿ˜ต

NN7 Guardian by Erlioniel 2022-10-04T17:21:42Z

The mood in this game is top notch ! You really managed to hit that space opera vibe with your graphics !

I however felt like the gameplay was not enough involving : I kinda got bored waiting for my miner to colelct that space dust... Maybe havinga manned turret to keep us entertain whiel waiting or something like that could be nice !

Delivery Rush by Georgy16 2022-10-13T17:10:54Z

The background and the play area looked really nice ! Your 3D art are pretty awesome.

The gameplay is however tedious really fast.. It wasn't even hard most of the time. I finaly got kicked out even though I was successful with every packet, don't know why.

Airport by grilladroid 2022-10-08T07:45:17Z

A great tycoon game! I would love to see it expended upon with more features related to airports like driveway for example.

Good job for a compo!

Iron Sword Tournament by Jackaljk 2022-10-08T13:28:07Z

Hi there, I tried your android version of the game.

Great game, worked really well on my device! It is however quite hard ahaha... Unless you have the one kill sword and spam attacks ;)

I was surprised that buffs carried on even after a round is finished, which can be a little op when yo uhave the aforementioned one-shot sword.

I liked it! I was not able to play multi with a friend but it could be a lot of fun! Good job, you could almost release it in a slightly more polished version soon!

Pincolour by Haydads 2022-10-08T12:56:41Z

A simple idea well executed. I liked how you integrated the theme : definitly made sense for a pinball game!

I laughed at the in the how to play. You might have missed updating something there...

Room Again by SofiGnedova 2022-10-06T14:15:40Z

Good game with a really innovative use of the theme. I had fun figuring it out! The graphics are also great. Could use a little bit more feedback, but honestly all ld games do ahah

ร€ great entry, congrats!

A Quick Bunny Affair ๐Ÿฅ• by Vidu 2022-10-04T17:28:10Z

What a cute game !! all your arts are so coherent with each other and extremely cute ! The music and souond effect are also fiting well with everything else.

The gameplay is quite entertaining, however I did find the controls really finicky : it is really hard to know whith whaqt you are going to interact and the plateforming feels weak.

Betrayed by greenphox 2022-10-09T19:05:58Z

That was a great compo !

Here my unsorted pile of various remarks: * First of what the heck is wrong withthat resoltuon ? I played it on itch.io fullscreen (like recommended) and everything was so blurry at 1080p... Why lock the resolution (so low) for simple shapes like these ? * The various feedbacks when you get hit or kill other are great !! It's easy to know what is going on, keep it yp ! * The music track was quite good. It felt however so out of place whith what was going on in the game. I feel like a more punchier track would have made more sense for that kind of game. * The tutorial was easy to understand, quick and interactivve. I had no tyrouvbles whatsoever to understand your game at first glance. A real pleasure ! * The gameplay was fun ! A tad bit repetitive and would have been absolutely lovely with more variety but it's still really good for a first compo entrey !

Congratulation for your first compo ! Keep it up it's great !

Dichotomy by StudioCherno 2022-10-13T17:06:42Z

Would love to try it but the game is not starting for me. The launcher works fine however

T&T - Trips & Ticks by Pentaworks 2022-10-08T21:32:40Z

I liked the fact that you added a TouchPad, which allow touchscreen support! I played your game in html5 on my phone without any issue whatsoever. Great!

The game is great but is not really easy to understand at first, even with, the tutorial added in the post jam version. It is still not really clear that you arz seeing what you can move during next turn.

Moreover, I felt that it is sometime hard to differentiate between walkable and un walkable surfaces. For example it took me multiple turn to figure out that the patch of grass I was trying to criss was instead an un walkable forest.

Orher than that, it is a fun little game! Your death illustrations made me laugh!

Machine Yearning by Daniel Username 2022-10-06T17:33:33Z

That... Is really cool!!

Great idea!! And awesome music to go with it : I was absolutely *vibing while captcha-ing* !!

ร€ leaderboard of some kind would be an awesome addition!

I had lots of fun playing this game, simple yet really effective and challenging. Thanks @asbjorn for the recommendation!

*Edit: I agree with @doot, you could release it on a mobile platform almost as is!! *

Boar Breakout DX by b3b0 2022-10-05T19:58:37Z

Nice Gameboy aesthetics !

I add more trouble with the gameplay however : moving felt so slipery ! That made the jumps really hard for me, who is not used to platformer...

Void Timeline by HexStart 2022-10-04T20:36:30Z

I saw your game on Tobugis stream, that's a great entry!

I really like your core gameplay. The difficulty and the ramp up is also perfectly tuned up. The mechanics are easy to understand and grasp yet quite hard to fully master. The only thing I would add is an indication on the max ship health, and maybe more feedback when the ship takes damage and how much, because it is not really clear without looking at the tool tips atm.

One final unrelated advice, you should definitly add more screenshot to your game description, that'll motivate people to try it!

Headcount by Bogden 2022-10-05T06:58:33Z

Simple yet effective. There is really a desire to try again and again until the 10 is reached ahah

I tried it on my phone and it was perfect. I could definitly see it released as is on app stores, maybe with a few more "human benchmark" added

Soul Reaper by Nikochka 2022-10-06T19:15:03Z

Sorry your game is not loading for me... do you have another link with it uploaded ?

Soul Reaper by Nikochka 2022-10-09T12:52:09Z

@nikochka no I didn't try it on itch.io since it is not listed in the game links. You should put it here, people are usually looking for them in that section instead of in the text like you did.

Will try it latter and let you know ๏ผ

Bad Thoughts by House Trap Jay 2022-10-04T20:06:04Z

This game mood is just awesome !!! Congrats !

10s To Decide by Rob6566 2022-10-08T13:19:37Z

I tried this game on my phone and it surprisingly worked quite alright!

Congratulation for your first jam! You managed to publish something with is already a feat! (if you look at the stats, more than 50% of all projects aren't published at the end).

A few point you could improve for your next ludum dare: * your game need more feedbacks. It's kind hard to now atm when a tower hits an enemy or when an enemy hit a tower for example. You should show that kind of info. You can use either cheap trick like making them red for a few seconds of that kind of thing all the xzy to complex fxs and particles. * you uploaded a unity development build. Those are usually much larger and way laggier because they embedded tons of debug and profiling information. Building for release is just one tick away and will result in a much smoother game

What is really good about your game and that you should keep for the next one : * the how to play was a really nice addition! It is sooo useful when you are not fumbling around to understand a jam game! No need to be self condescending int it however : your game is a great jam game and I had fun in it! * I had 0 bugs and everything went smoothly, which is quite a feat! * the gameplay was alright but could benefit greatly from being "spicier", with more things going on or stuff to do in between the 10s timer.

Anyway congrats for you first jam!!

LD54 — Limited Space

Unbelievable Universe by Igor KinGamer 2023-10-10T21:43:25Z

I tried it on my phone! It worked quite alright, however I had some Trou Les with the drag and drop : it kept dropping planets in the middle of the dragging. I think my finger was considered as "not on the screen anymore" for an instant wich lead to the planet being placed against my will. Maybe adding a small timer to make sure that the player *really* removed its finger could help!

Apart from that, the game what quite fun, but way too hard for me ahaha. I just sucked at it clearly : I couldn't be an orbit packer

The Cauldron Coven Coalition by Sarah 2023-10-03T20:41:10Z

I had a lot of trouble to understand the different weaknesses & forces of each witch and villager. Is this indicated somewhere or do we have to figure it out ? Maybe adding different feedback when an attack is ultra effective or ineffective could help with figuring it out.

The game is lacking feedbacks, especially when the hut is getting hurt. it is easy to loose without even noticing it if you are in another part of the map. I also wonder why the map is so huge if we can only control at most 8 witch at the same time.

The art is really cute and well done, congratulation ! I also liked the little information tidbits on each witch : it added a lot of flavour ! Sadly I feel like the time spent on making so much quality art could be reduced a little bit to focus more on gameplay.

Warehouse 2319 by Silas Reinagel 2023-10-06T16:47:43Z

Sorry but I felt like this game was a little bit boring : too much walking everywhere and back and forth in between tasks. maybe reducing those long hallways a little could help ?

The graphics were nice and polished, however I found the glittering noise shader to be really distracting.

Regarding the gameplay, I was really surprise by how you handle walking : the character keep going on for a small while even after I released the control which is unusual. The physics in the various task was quite good. I was sadly not really enjoying what you asked me to do..; Maybe adding more jankiness could make it quite fun and enjoyable ?

The voice acting and satyre was absolutely awesome !! The audio in general was really good.

Seagull Island | L'รฎle aux Goรฉlands by Seb_degraff 2023-10-03T14:14:16Z

Great game! I tried playing it on my phone and it worked like a charm!

Too bad the camera doesn't span or zoom out to allow us to build event higher.

The vibe of your game is really good. The art and the music goes really well together, event though the music loop get a little bit boring after a while. A longer loop would have been awesome.

The gameplay is really simple yet fun and challenging. A great entry!

*P.S. My highest was only 47...*

Ace of Space by n.feofentov 2023-10-05T17:43:46Z

Wow the concept is so cool !! You really used the theme in a clever way !

Sadly my game often locked on already dead ennemies, which mean I wasn't able to play it for long each time :(

It was fun nevertheless, the graphics were simple yet super effective. the sound choices were also right on point. Good job !

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-03T20:20:53Z

This is a clever and innovative idea ! Sadly the game is plagued by game breaking bugs : I had multiple games where the whole hand or the finger simply disappear mid-game, making it impossible to have a decent score...

The art is also quite nice ! The music was good but its loop might be a little too short : it become a little bit annoying after some time.

Profits in Proportion by don.shinski 2023-10-06T08:02:19Z

A nice idea well implemented!

I loved that you can see other people painting at the end. However, instead of a random batch, I would have like to be able to see other people take on the same painting than the one I just did, to compare my "art" with other's.

I liked the fact that the game can be a short or as long as you like, without any contraint. Of course this has an impact on the game structure sadly. Maybe you could have made a menu to chose which painting you wanted to try next?

I tried this game on my phone and it worked pretty well! The game space wasn't taking the full screen but after zooming in a bit it was perfect. I could see this game working quite well compiled as an Android app!

Notable Deeds by Yheeky 2023-10-06T16:57:52Z

Interesting idea, however I felt like the timer was way too big : I never had any time pressure and my cemetery was never even half-full. Could be fun with a little bit more balancing and some additional crazy crimes/death certificate !

Super Drillboy by jordantanner 2023-10-08T16:56:13Z

Was fun !! I was a little bit confused by the health/lives part at first, I though everything was finished after 3 hits.

I liked that your had the time to implement the super drill mode : it really feels rewarding to just destroy everything !

One bad point : I almost felt like the game became less interesting and less challenging with time because of the space restriction : It was more fun with many lanes to chose from instead of the 3 we end up with. Maybe you could increase the number of lanes again after a while ?

KosmoPod by Hakro 2023-10-08T16:46:10Z

Welp I was so confused by that invisible wall things at first ! i should have read the description ahah. Everything was solved by switching to the windows version

The gameplay is really simple, easy too understand yet challenging. I liked it !

I was a little bit confused by the controls at first, separating rotation and movement was weird for me. Maybe I wouldn't be as much confused by keeping WQSD for movement an QE for rotation ? It's a minor issue since even with the current scheme the control are really easy to understand.

Maybe adding a little bit more feedback when a object is pulled would have been awesome.

A good entry, especially for a compo. Great job !

SPACE LTD. (The Little Prince) by Vadzim 2023-10-03T14:38:16Z

Oh we almost made our game about the little prince too!

The game mechanic is really well implemented. I was a little bit surprised at first by anti-gravity planets but after m some trial and error it was quite easy to understand what was going on. The little trajectory indicator was really useful.

I had some bugs in that level however, where asteroid duplicated themselves when I hit them and the earth gravity wasn't working anymore. I also had some issues with water and the rose not collecting when I hit them with the ship.

In conclusion : space golf :golfer: is fun :)

Rafty Crab by kuviman 2023-10-04T18:36:52Z

That... was pretty awesome !! I had the opportunity to play with stranger, that was really intense ! Short but efficient, really easy to understand, funny....

Great game, congratulation !

The Rock by Fupi 2023-10-05T18:19:48Z

That art style was really cute and made me laught !! I'm just disapointed most of your art was blurry, I would have love the same thing with little bit clearer picture

The story was funny and not too short nor too long ! The perfect format for a jam. The voice sound were sometime annoying however, which isn't too much of an issue since you provided a voice volume slider !

I had fun hearing about your cute little story, thanks for that tale !

COSMOSTRIDE by Catusfelony 2023-10-05T17:59:52Z

Wow my brain can't process that kind of perspective  Nice little game, clearly too hard for me to grasp ahah

I'm a little bit disappointed that we cannot do a barrel roll though

Did you use Bfxr or rfxgen for le sound effects ?

Booze & Row by Gonzo13 2023-10-05T21:05:18Z

The art and the animation are wonderful ! I felt like in a cartoon ! However I felt like the control were quite unresponsive and lacked *punch* (no pun intended of course  ): I think this feeling is probably due to weird enemy hitboxes and a lack of feedback. I felt like I never really knew when my hit were successful or not. Maybe adding some SFX and camera shakes would make the hit much more clearer ?

There was no sound at all on my compute, is that normal ?

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-03T16:16:21Z

@yogurtthehorse yeah Godot 4.0 web export doesn't support Mac OS in any way or form... I'm sorry :(

I'll try to add a Mac export tonight, but the Apple signing process is convoluted.... I'll let you know and tag you when a Mac version is available!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-03T16:21:35Z

@frodob4884 Thanks! I'm glad you had fun! If you want to have an edge against your buddy, there is a little secret : you can cancel charged attack at any time by pressing the guard button ๐Ÿคซ

@lelulagames thanks! Yeah the music is not so great for this game. @Aune tried to make something better right before the deadline but wasn't able to achieve it in time sadly...

@onionlabs @kate-arty & @braeden thanks for the kind words! I agree, @khan made an awesome job with the Chara design!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-03T20:32:51Z

@yogurtthehorse Apple want me to pay 100$ just for you to be able to open my app. They can go to hell.

Sorry, looks like I won't be able to provide you with an app :(

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-03T20:47:39Z

@yogurtthehorse unsigned and not notarized is fine ?? Sorry I'm really not well versed in Mac OS...

Here you go then ! You can find it in the download section !

You'll be the first one to try it out however since none of us have a Mac

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-04T11:21:56Z

Thanks everyone for the kind words and constructive feedbacks!

@hagamosvideojuegos yeah I agree, I feel now that the first Ai are too easy and are just a chore after a few trials... We were hesitating with allowing player to try again against the same enemy when they die, which may solve this issue.

@fupi thanks for the artwork! Nice calves! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ There are 5 enemy in total : yo u were very close to the end, congrats! You are right, I think listing the number of fight left could be a great incentive for replayability. We'll think about it next jam!

@danjoricey WTF we had the exact same idea?! That's so cool, I definitly have to try your game to see a different point of view on the same core mechanic! :wrestlers:

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-04T18:11:17Z

@yogurtthehorse Should be good now ! Thanks for the log, helped a lot !!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-05T21:17:33Z

Thanks everyone for the feedbacks !

@greenphox could you please specify what felt wrong with the controls for you ? Was it the key placement or the fact that there was different actions on key press and key hold ? Maybe the control were not feeling responsive for you ? Some people told me the same thing about the round. It may have been the best decision indeed...

@jerem-watts Thanks a lot for taking the time to play my game !! Seeing other people playing your own game is always so much interesting !! I'm a little sad the AI kept killing itself during your run however :crying_cat_face:

@queenofsquiggles thank for the feedback on Linux ! We were not able to try it ourselves so I'm glad it worked out without a flaw !

@mathkarma yes sadly, We never noticed it while playtesting since we were facing them head on... Definitly something to improve next time ! Thank for the feedback

@catusfelony Many more sound were recorded but not included due to a lack of time sadly. However there was supposed to have background music, it probably was bugged in your case. It happened to some people, no idea why ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

@lovewerk That's actually a great feedback we didn't think of ! Thank you !

@notinatal Thanks !! And thank you very much for the video, it is tremendously helpful to improve our games !

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-05T22:18:53Z

@fabula-rasa yeaaah the Ai definitly needs a fixing.... But that's too big to be a simple bug fix and thus is not really suitable for post jam modifications ๐Ÿ˜… If you do try to confront it head to head it is really puting up quite a fight! However if you start running everywhere like an headless chicken, it instantly kill itself... What a silly Ai ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway thank you for the feedbacks ans kind words !

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-08T18:34:30Z

@hakro yes it does become more difficult for each level! we have a difficulty slider from 0 to 1, the higher the number, the less likely the Ai is to make "dumb" decisions. we still have a little bit a issues with Ai running of the ring in the jam version however...

@falestress thanks for testing the 2 player version! We made most of the debugging/balancing fighting each other. It was so fun that I though I HAD to find a way to add it properly into the game ahah. I'm glad some people enjoy it as well!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-10T06:52:29Z

@ategon sure go ahead, it's fine with us

@javasaurus thanks for having a go at our game! I'm sorry I wasn't available anymore to watch it live but I'll gladly whatch the replay!

ROLLiE and the Desert Drive by civmaniac 2023-10-05T21:34:19Z

That was a great game !! I had a really good time playing it !

The only minor grip I have with it is when you have a program you want to put somewhere where there is already another program, you can't click to replace the one currently in place with the one you have selected. Instead, you have to put it somewhere else, remove the old one then put it into place.

That's a really solid jam entry ! congrats !

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-04T10:50:14Z

I tried the game on my mobile. It did not work.

After the initial loading, the music started but the screen stayed black. I tried in landscape and portrait mode as well as in "computer mode".

Other Unity WebGL games are working fine with my mobile. Do you think I should simply wait longer?

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-04T11:12:24Z

@baconeta I'm on Firefox, on an somewhat old Huawei P20.

I highly suspect that Firefox is the culprit here : it doesn't always work well with WebGL, especially if SharedArrayBuffer is required. On our own game, We had a lot of issues to make it work with Firefox specifically....

No big deal, I'll try the game on my computer latter

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-04T11:47:05Z

@baconeta As I thought, Firefox was the culprit. I tried it again on chrome (on my phone still) and it worked like a charm.

Great game! I love how the music react to our instrument choices. The gameplay itself is really easy to understand yet quite challenging to get 5 stars without some detective work.

The UI is also quite sleek, fluid and easy to understand. Good job!

That's a great entry. Congratulation!

Function f by Notinatal 2023-10-05T19:59:53Z

A really smart takes on the subject ! I liked its originality ! The input were simple and easy to understand. My only complain is that I would have loved t ohave the dot move slightly faster or a way to increase its speed until the next intersection.

The music was perfectly on theme and efficient, and not too annoying despite its short loop. Great job !

I also found your various UI very slick, especially when going toward a limit or in-between level. It made finishinf each level really rewarding.

That's a great jam entry, congratulation !

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-05T20:43:32Z

Awesome color palette and style. I loved it !! Congratulation to the artist !

I had a lot of fun playing your game ! I felt like the game ended right at the appropriate time : neither too long nor too short. I'm also impressed by the amount of feature and varied animated buildings you managed to pack in 72h !

Grave Danger by extar 2023-10-06T11:13:00Z

Your pico-8 art is really clean!

Great music also.

The only complain I have is sometime two coffi's spawn with a shared tiles, when you dig at that tile only one of the two coffin get transformed in tombstone and the other one is locked.

Pandalele by owca 2023-10-05T17:50:47Z

Simple, quite cute, easy to grasp and relaxing. The music was also really smoothing ! :guitar:

I had fun playing it once, sadly it becomes tedious in the end which doesn't make me want to try it again. That's still an enjoyable entry, great job !

Contact Range by QueenOfSquiggles 2023-10-11T13:57:17Z

The mood is great ! The weird art, the music, the environnement... Everything made me feel chills down my spine !

The art is funny and wonky, I liked it.

Gameplay wise however, it is really hard to figure out what you need to do and where you are supposed to go. For example I had a lot of troubles to understand what to do once I was in front of the sensor array controller...

The combat is also quite wonky : The fact that you can move your hit direction by moving after starting a blow felt really weird for me. maybe locking that hit direction once started would help a lot and make combat more enjoyable ? I would have also loved more feedbacks when hit for example.

Good job for the great mood in your game !!

Bit Golf by badcop 2023-10-13T18:39:49Z

I'll never look at 7-zip the same way anymore!!

ร€ wonderful ideawe ll executed, right on point with the theme! ร€ great entry.

Doodle Defenders by martinboue 2023-10-10T21:31:20Z

A great idea but maybe a little too easy currently by simply spamming units. Adding something restricting their placement (money or whatever) or an incentive to put less of them (score?) could help make the game more difficult than simply spamming units everywhere.

I tried the web build on chrome and the units buttons were quite unresponsive : I had to click them multiple times to switch between the units type. Must be a quirk of my web Explorer...

Congrats for the entry and for reaching 20 ratings!

Code Crusader by QwillaK 2023-10-04T20:16:34Z

The idea is nice but I found the game to be really confusing due to a lack of indication on where to go. For example, if you pick an access node and slot it into the core, you have no idea which area gets opened or where to go next. Little arrows or an other form of feedback indicating in which direction the shard opened something would help tremendously.

Also I don't understand why the viewport is so small. It's probably to stick more to the theme, however I felt like it had an really detrimental effect on the game and made it much more difficult to apprehend.

The art is on point with the game theme and feels really sci-fiy, which is great !

Space Sumo King by Danjoricey 2023-10-05T20:21:06Z

That was a fun game ! I loved all those little guys were flying everywhere ! The ensuing chaos was entertaining...

Too bad that it started lagging quite a lot for me starting from level 10. I was not able to complete it because of that issue.I know that time is short in jam but I think this game could be even funnier with some weird sound effect added. If you have no audio skill at all (like myself...) you can always use sfx generator like **[RfxGen](https://github.com/raysan5/rfxgen)**

I really liked how despite having exactly the same ideas we ended up with two completely different game and two completely different mood ! Sumo team forever ! :wrestlers:

Congratulation for your first jam !

Greasy Justice by kasmilus 2023-10-05T21:49:55Z

The controller were extremely unresponsive when I played the game. Sadly it meant that I spent most of my time clicking like a crazy instead of playing the game, which made the whole thing quite difficult has you can imagine  I haven't try the windows version, it may solve the issue.

Otherwise the mechanic is quite original. Thanks god you made a video tutorial or I'm pretty sure I would have never figured it out on my own. It's a shame since you went trough the effort of putting a really nice tutorial in your game who is in the end not that informative...

I kinda liked your art honestly ahah, it is much better than what i could hope achieving myself

Expedition 32 by onionlabs 2023-10-03T20:09:18Z

The game is fun and very enjoyable !

However, the camera movements were quite jarring and nauseating. Maybe it would have been better to smooth its movement instead of making it follow the character tile by tile.

The Paint mechanic is innovative and fun ! The monster music was also really great : it gave me chills when it kicked in in the middle of a dark hallway...

A solid entry, congratulation !

Packed Blobs by PowerOfSin 2023-10-06T10:53:06Z

What a fun little game! The puzzle mechanic were well though out and highlighted by the level design.

I had fun playing it, whish there were a little bit more levels.

I played it on my phone with Chrome and it worked like a charm. The game never started on Firefox however (that's clearly a godot 4.1 limitation, and not on your side).

LD55 — Summoning

Sumo-ning by wolderado 2024-04-16T00:51:15Z

As expected this game feels really great to play : there is so much juice and mood in your animation and fx!

The gameplay was however a little bit dull and samey in comparison. Maybe doing something in addition to just running around collecting little guys would help reduce this feeling?

ร€ great entry : good job!!

TechnoMonk RITUAL by Furano 2024-04-16T13:29:59Z

@jhonny111 of course it is! That is what AOE monks do during their free time... ๐Ÿคซ

@adrien-tremblay thanks! In some languages (like German), summoning also mean "to be drafted in the army", so it **100% fit!** (yeah that's an afterthought ahah)

@enver-arco thanks for the feedback! I'll love more feedback on the commanding part : Do you know that you can keep the key pressed and they'll follow you around? Is it what you were doing and it was still annoying, or did you simply press it and the in-game explanation wasn't good enough?

TechnoMonk RITUAL by Furano 2024-04-16T17:03:20Z

@bigstrongddoge yeah the exe on the ludum version is an older release that is bugged.... I fixed it for the release on the web version but forgot to update it here :( You can find updated exe on the git release [here](https://github.com/furan0/ld55/releases/tag/jam_release) I'll updated them here as soon as I can

TechnoMonk RITUAL by Furano 2024-04-24T08:30:33Z

@kyrio thanks for the really detailed and useful feedback!! I'm surprised by the UI bugs you encountered : I thought I fixed most of them already on the Jam publish day. What website and browser did you use to play it? We might have forgotten to update one of the host with the latest build... ๐Ÿ˜…

Yeah all the "Techno" references became kind of irrelevant at the end of the jam because of a lack of time to make it fit perfectly. It wasn't our main focus for this game anyway, more like a light background theme to make our game ambiance a little bit unique. Same for the Gaia (brown enemy) : no time to add more interesting mechanisms to them in the end ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@rradu having un-capturable ennemies is actually Y'a great idea! And could be really easily implemented in the current game. Too bad we didn't thought of it ahaha.... Thanks for the great feedback.

Thank you for playing everyone, and ***Wololo*** to all of you :older_man_tone2:!

TechnoMonk RITUAL by Furano 2024-04-24T11:43:03Z

@kyrio yeah crap I definitely forgot to update theses..... Sorry for the unconvenience : all theses bugs were fixed 30 mins before the end of the jam but weren't included in the itch exe version you downloaded...

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

A very small seed by vidarn 2024-10-11T11:53:42Z

Wow i found your art specially charming and cute this time. It fit really well with the mood of this little tales !

Each scene were beautiful but maybe a little short : using multiple items or combining some of them could make the game a little bit harder, even though I understand that this kind of scope creep hardly fit in a compo. I went trough each location really fast apart from the gate where I had to use your little hint.

The story was easy to understand even though you can visit it in any order, which is impressive. Maybe you could have a short transition to the completed state for each scene so we don't have to jump back in to see the result of our actions.

The music and SFX were quite good and moody.

Overall I found it relaxing and enjoying. I wouldn't mind playing a longer version of this game (like ~3 or 4 hour long maybe?) if you ever intend to keep working on it. A great compo entry, congratulation !

I am, as always, in awe by what people like you can produce alone in a mere 48h ahah

Mouse House by johnnysix 2024-10-08T19:36:18Z

A great game !! I loved how you tried to make it mobile friendly : was a real treat to play on a touchscreen.

I liked your various "cutscenes" animation, they are really slick & Smooth.

I'm still not sure of what's the point of the mouse switching mechanism however. And the goal could have been made clearer at the start also.

The music and sfx were great !

Congratulation for your entry !

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-08T19:29:40Z

Wow you nailed the feeling of those old Tamagotchi !!

The various mini game were also really smooth, good job ! It feel like your game scope was perfectly managed.

However I have to agree with the other, the spooky part felt a little bit weird compared to the mood of everything else

King Nut by Abdul Zakkar 2024-10-10T16:02:19Z

I had a lot of fun trying your game !

The gameplay is smooth and interesting and graphics are very nicely done.

I really liked the tutorial you included at the beginning that was really clear and made the whole game easy to understand without any issue. I like when people find time to do that kind of details in a game jam !

The only negative is that I found the difficulty a little bit too easy.

A great entry, congrats !

@edali *The Ministry Of Truth* approve your message and would like to remind all citizens that ~~*gnomes*~~ are a pure product of fiction.

**They are NOT real**

G-news by Aune 2024-10-09T07:04:13Z

Thanks everyone for the kind words and the useful feedback, especially on SFX/VFX (that were sadly munched by the web export...). What was your feeling about the difficulty ? Was it too easy or hard ?

@telo-philippe yes you can ! You can find the full track on our composer SoundCloud : https://m.soundcloud.com/rattell/bregnomic-from-ludum-dare

G-news by Aune 2024-10-09T19:47:55Z

@kultuk what issues did you have exactly ? Other than the UI being a tad too small for that kind of device....

G-news by Aune 2024-10-10T07:00:30Z

Thanks everyone for the kind words & feedbacks !

Congrats @langotriel, I think you are the first one here to realize that we implemented a scoring system. Feel like wasted time we should have invested in more feedbacks (always **moaar** feedbacks...) instead, *woopsie*

Sadly I'm not at the liberty to comment on your argument about tiny ~~gno~~creatures... ๐Ÿ˜ถ

@demiclod you can play Fullscreen to solve this issue. Did you notice that there was a tiny button to play Fullscreen in the bottom right ? Do you think we should have made a much bigger one on the main menu to make it more obvious ?

G-news by Aune 2024-10-10T08:11:04Z

@docgeraud @geoffroy thanks for the feedbacks ! We do have punchy sound effects for, well.., the punch & ~~gnomes~~ ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

However, something went wrong with Godot web export and the balance is now way off... We realized it too late to fix it. You can hear them by lowering the music volume on the main menu settings.

G-news by Aune 2024-10-15T07:12:14Z

@kyoryucomic yeah we always try to have the menu being more chill and quieter than gameplay phases to accentuate it... We also had some balance issue after compilation due to web export but it was too late to fix it in submission time and wasn't big enough to warrant a post-jam version. Sorry if that bothered you, maybe we could have adjusted the SFX of the volume slider to properly represent in-game music volume.

Thanks a lot for the constructive feedback !

@ascalem It's weird, this game require neither intensive graphical processing nor computations. Do you have this issue on both itch and Newgrounds ? Do you have any trouble running other HTML5 game ?

Are you listening? by Sockenpuppe 2024-10-08T15:53:34Z

I love your art and the mood it created ! I felt like it was right on point. You can really feel the weight of what she is going through with your art style.

Gameplay wise it was fine, might have been a little bit more engaging if it didn't feel like there is clearly one "good choice" every time. Maybe by adding more ambiguity ? It was still able to convey the heaviness of Leah's grief quite well !

What tool/engine did you use to make your entry ? I played it on my phone and it worked like a charm

Quackling Rescue by Laywelin 2024-10-10T16:44:35Z

*Coin-coin*, very cute game !! :duck:

The graphics were charming even though they could have been even more adorable with additional animation and effects/feedbacks. The Image book theme you went with worked really well with your story !

The sound effect were great, too bad it was lacking music.

The gameplay was ok. Maybe adding another action other than quacking could spice it up ? Even though the scope feel very well managed which is a feat for a game jam entry !!

Bon ma plus grosse dรฉception reste quand mรชme qu'ils ne finissent pas en cassoulet a la fin, en tant que co-Toulousain... :stew:

The Fish that Figured it Out by Dean Goodson 2024-10-13T20:08:38Z

The web version seems to work great, I tried it with a touchscreen and everything was working well !

Your art and music is really cute and cozy. It really is coherent and help to create a nice cozy mood.

The gameplay was fine, however I do agree with other it was a real slog at the beginning before things start to ramp up. Maybe adding something else to do other than clicking the fish could help for the beginning, at least for people that doesn't feel like putting the game on the background.

I feel like this game could work really well as an Idlegame Wallpaper ahah

Congrats for this relaxing entry !

Ant Smasher! by cool_purr 2024-10-10T07:44:15Z

Wow, I am impress by your technical performance !!

Sadly the game felt blend without any feedbacks. I also had some trouble with looking up how much gold/health I had. I understand that all these are technical limitation du to the ""engine"" you used, but it still made the game feel boring and repetitive fast.

I also think you should add pictures and instruction here on the ludum dare page : that will motivate more people to play and rank your game

The technical feat is impressive, congrats !!!

LD59 — Signal

STAY ON AIR by Ethernal Tech 2026-04-26T17:01:38Z

The in-game tutorial is gold and the game easy to understand: you directly know what you need to achieve without having to look at the description, which is great. The idea is fitting to the Theme and well-implemented, congratulation!

My only complains would be more tower types to spice things up (which might be hard to do with limited jam time) and maybe more indicator to know if you are in a local maximum or the global one.
