Nice game but there are some bugs, for example if you interact with an object whilst walking the player will keep on walking, and in this way you can even move the first demon. Overall very aesthetic game though!
-Tim
Awesome game! I don't know how you managed to add a leader board to you game in time but it really adds to a game of this genre! Great game overall, although a minimap or better centering of the camera would make seein enemies from the bottom of the screen easier, overall though really good!
-Tim
Amazing art and music! Great tutorial too! Really well polished and well made!
-Tim
A fun game with a nice camera, although you were missing some colliders around the blades of grass but overall pretty nice!
-Tim
Great game! Absolutely loved everything, from gameplay to art and soundtrack, amazing and well polished!
-Tim
Great game! Great Art style audio! The only feedback I can give is to possibly slow the player down while he's turning , as that would make controlling him easier! Overall great and fun game!
-Tim
Great little game, I wish there would have been more sound effects though, for interactions with the human or for the dialogue..
-Tim
Nice little game, I wish there was some kind of way of knowing where you character will move to next, the soundtrack was amazing though!
-Tim
Amazing art, audio and gameplay, really well developed and polished!
-Tim
Great little game and fun experience playing it! I wish the monster would have a bit of a scarier sound effect and maybe a vignette applied after he hit you? Overall pretty great!
-Tim
Great little game! Beautiful art and sound track!
- Tim
Great game! Delay the inevitable death in the forest from wolves, after your plane crashed! The snow crunching sound effects were great as well! What was this developed in! В общем классная игра, молодцы!
-Tim
Interesting game! I wish there was more audio though and perhaps some sample answers for the Psychologist? Overall great game for the jam!
-Tim
@badcop we've fixed the physics and updated the game, should be okay now!
@simex glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback! Definitely agree with everything you said, hopefully some of this stuff (like mouse sensitivity and general settings) will be in the core engine for the next jam :)
@lonelyliongames You can try again we've just added support for older GPUs perhaps yours will make the cut now!
@jordwest hmm that's strange, wouldn't have expected any issues from an RTX 3060 Ti... are you on latest GPU drivers? Also if you could share the logs in the logs/ directory, they may or may not contain some more info.
@lonelyliongames unfortunate :( what are your system specs? Have you tried updating your GPU drivers?
@ronanrory thanks for the review! We're definitely quite happy with what we've achieved within the 72 hours (as this was our first time using Hazel collaboratively as a team to make something), and I agree with everything you and the others have said.
If we had more time, we would have definitely fleshed out the second part of the game much more, and in fact we'll probably continue working on Forest as a little side-project as we continue to develop Hazel.
Thanks for playing (and for being around since Genesis!), have a wonderful day too! - Cherno
Amazing little game, absolutely loved the modulation! Great Idea and execution!
-Tim
Very beautiful game, and a very creative and unique art style! Thought that it really explored an interesting approach! Классная игра!! There was a null reference exception in one of the scenes though I'm not sure why that is...
-Tim
NullReferenceInTheGallows.PNG
Great and fun little game, I liked the UI and the progression, the trailer was probably a bit much haha but the game was fun!
-Tim
Interesting game, but the controls were not that intuitive, perhaps this game might have been a bit more interesting as a 3rd persons game? Also I don't think the main audio was looped.
-Tim
Voxel art looks really nice, but the controls definitely felt sluggish and slow, also discovered that if you go off the map at the end without hitting the target area the game doesn't reset. My overall take the biggest problem is the controls, graphics were nice, voxels are always a plus for me! -Peter
Liked the robot model, the gameplay was very repetitive so I think it could have benefited from some power ups, or maybe even one or two more enemies. The biggest issue in my opinion was the lack of sound effects however, sound effects help drastically. Really wanted to hear some nice explosions and laser sound effects, maybe even some metallic clicking from the robots walking on the ground. I do think the claw shooting is an interesting concept though, keep at it! - Peter
Fun game, the biggest game problem was the fact that shooting water would collide with too many objects and I found that defending my plants was difficult because of that, but overall really well designed game with unique gameplay!
-Tim
A really lovely and fun little game. Very nice art style, the mechanics were very interesting, and I liked how the game predicted the players reaction to certain messages. Overall a very pleasant experience. Did miss the lack of sound effects, but the music was good! - Peter
Could easily end up being a very addictive game, definitely felt like I just wanted to keep trying to get a higher score. Overall a good spin on a classic game! A lot harder than the original as well. - Peter
A rather challenging game, it was hard to reach the portal (?), definitely felt the need to make liberal use of the dash feature, but it was definitely enjoyable! Graphics looked nice, and the controls felt good as well, overall a good game! -Peter
Great little game especially considering the fact hat it was made using a custom engine that was written in C++ and OpenGL,
-Studio Cherno (Tim)
Surprisingly enjoyed the game quite a bit, had a pretty interesting spin on the theme. The teleporting was a really interesting mechanic, I always had to keep in mind what I wanted to bring with me to the next room. All in all a fun experience. - Peter
I like the concept, but gets repetitive really quickly and there's nothing really there to keep me playing. Would definitely be better with some more content and variety - Yan
Very interesting take on a simple platformer. The drunk effect was really well made, even made it a bit nauseous, overall a really fun game. The first long jump felt a bit too hard initially, I found that I had to go closer to the edge than I expected to make the jump, but overall really fun. - Peter
Liked the game, felt very satisfying to play, really like the look of it. Only real issue I had was that there was no real indication that I should move on to a different area after defeating the first enemy. Otherwise really enjoyed it! - Peter
Absolutely loved the game! Really enjoyed the world break effect, as well as the crumbling sound effect! -Peter
This was a really interesting game, with an interesting spin on the theme, good job! The sprite + audio combo when you get caught for the final time was actually hilarious, although I think the game almost suffered from being limited to the 10 seconds, it would've been really fun if the grandpa could come a go at random-ish intervals, instead of a fixed 10 seconds, but I think you did a good job with the theme regardless!
The control scheme was a bit difficult to get used to, so maybe it would've benefited from having some different controls.
But overall you did a good job! -Peter
Loved the general feel of the game, most of the puzzles did feel a bit barebones, although the puzzle where you had to die to get into the room was interesting. The time stopping mechanic was a nice touch. The biggest issue for me though was the final puzzle with the bell, I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do, I just pushed buttons randomly and it worked, so it would've been nice if there'd been some way of explaining what you were actually supposed to do for that puzzle. Really liked the graphics, although I think it was slightly too dark at times, but other than that it was really nice! -Peter
@literally-void we've just pushed a fix for this so you should hopefully be able to make it through without framerate dropping - Yan
@jrevel You can try to update your drivers, if they aren't up to date the game most likely won't run. -Tim
@substain Are you still experiencing the framerate dropping after the latest version (1.0.0.2)? We're aware of the game freezing occasionally while the moves are being played back, we'll look into it! -Peter
@substain Yeah I suspect so as well, we're planning on making those disappear after a short while to reduce the number of entities in the scene at once. Thanks for letting us know! -Peter
@ingo-holle thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it! Agree with all your points - definitely all features we would have developed if we had more time, and good ideas for the future! - Yan
A nice little game that has an interesting mechanic incorporating the 10 seconds, great visuals as well! The only thing to improve the hit mechanic as it took several hits to kill an enemy, unless ofcourse the enemy simply takes several hits to get killed, but if thats the case than I think there needs to be a better way of communicating the enemies hit points
-Tim
I don't usually play bullet hell games, but I had a good time playing this. I enjoyed the overall feeling of the game. Good work! -Peter
Nice game, I thought that the robot animation was quiet nice, when they blink they look quite cute, however I thought that the Game didn't fit the theme too well since the switching of the weapons doesn't impact the gameplay in any significant way, but overall a challenging game to play!
-Tim
Really enjoyed the game! My two suggestions would be to make the aiming a bit less wobbly, as well as making the insults a bit more audible, I really wanted to hear what they were actually saying  It did feel a bit too easy though, I was able to survive for 6 minutes pretty easily, so maybe making the difficulty scale over time would've been good, although the All-Seeing Eye boss insta-killed me because I was low on health, so I didn't really get to experience the difficulty of that boss.
I did like the audio, although I wasn't a fan of the slow transition between menus or the static effect on the main menu.
But in general a very well made game! -Peter
Alright, first thing I will say is that the "recoil" isn't what I'd expect from an FPS game, generally speaking when I play FPS games and I shoot I don't want my camera to move up, instead I'd expect the finger guns to rotate up, and then back down to the original position, relatively quickly. Having the camera move really disrupts the flow when you're trying to shoot quickly, especially when you have a very limited time before dying.
Another issue I had is that there's no indication on what you should do, a tutorial would've been very good to have.
The movement seemed a bit to slippery, and I found that there's no incentive to gather points in the first level because you can immediately beat it.
I do think the game has the potential to be a good FPS if you keep at it though! -Peter
Fun little game that can be difficult sometimes, but other times I am able to get all the way to the end within the first 4 seconds which removes the keyboard breaking promise! (and leaves it to chance) But overall can be frustratingly fun, although the audio was loud in the game especially at the credits.
-Tim
It's a cool idea, gravity shifting really made it confusing though, but I guess maybe that's the point of the game. Overall I think it's a pretty nice game, the only real feedback I can give was that the movement felt very sluggish, and could've benefited from being a bit snappier. Also I'm not sure why but after playing for a relatively short time I did start to feel nauseous.
The music was really good, and fit very well for this game, although I noticed there was no music slider in the settings menu.
Also the wall climbing mechanic does need a little bit of work I think, sometimes it didn't activate even though I was really close to a wall.
But overall a pretty good game! -Peter
Interesting Mechanic for changing the only direction in which the player can move, however the UI elements for communicating that felt a bit difficult to read, I feel that a better communication of those would have enhanced the gameplay
- Tim
I think it's an interesting concept, and as far as memory games go it's a decent game. Only feedback I can give is to have a way of telling how many lives you have left, plus maybe having some background music, although it's always better to have a game with no music, as opposed to having no game at all. Graphics look good, it did get a bit harder to memorize everything at the end, but it could really benefit from having multiple items be added per round, at least in the later game.
Good job! -Peter
My thoughts on the game after playing it for a few minutes: Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "enemies" didn't seem to pose *any* threat at all, there really doesn't seem to be a concept of health, other than the 10 second timer that ticks down, but that didn't appear to go down faster when I got "hit" by the enemies. If the enemies were supposed to damage me there really should've been some clear indicator that this was happening. Also the sound could've used quite a bit more work I think, the shotgun sound was very unsatisfying, it really would've benefitted from a proper shotgun explosion sound. Also the sound the enemies made became very annoying after a short period so that could've either used some work, or fewer enemies from the start.
The graphics weren't half bad, although I noticed the camera rotation wasn't clamped so I accidentally turned the camera upside down.
Overall the game needs polish, but keep at it! -Peter
Hey @picapica and @local-minimum!
An interesting approach to the theme! I actually called it someone would make a game about delivering babies and this is the first one I've seen! I liked the camera zoomout and the circular world! The aiming was a bit difficult, I wish you could control the canon that would improve the game and make it a bit more dynamic I think, overall well done!
-Tim
Hey @movealonghome and @frnknstn
Great game you guys put together! I would have loved to hear some audio as I think it would have really sold the mood! I like the loading mechanic but it did take me a while to actually understand what I was meant to do, as I was trying to put things in the centre and that wouldn't work..
Over all great game and I would love to see the continuation of this!
-Tim
Hey @darwyn great game you put together over the jam!
I really like your approach to the game and not using an engine basically guarantees that everyone can play your game! Simple graphics understandable gameplay, the only thing is it does take a little time to get that second pigeon so maybe giving the player more initial capital or like a "bonus" for their first delivery to get started quicker...
Other than that definitely an unusual and great approach to game dev this jam
-Tim
Hey @enver-arco, great little game you put together in the span of the jam!
The difficulty in my opinion is pretty high though and one way to solve that might be to introduce checkpoints into the game. I also don't think it makes sense to damage the wing of the player if the package touches a wall. Instead I think it would be cool if the package was its own physics body that was attached to the player via a joint, I think that could introduce some nice dynamic physics elements to the game:)
Over all well done and keep on going!
-Tim
Definitely an interesting game, it felt too easy in my opinion, I did see that the mouse controls used to be inverted and some people found it harder then, but with the normal mouse movements it felt a bit too easy, but I like the idea, I think if there were some more obstacles it could definitely be a lot harder.
One thing I would've loved to see was some ragdoll physics on the character when you hit an obstacle, but I realize there might not have been time for it
Would be nice to see some more dynamic elements to it, maybe the destination house could be randomly selected, but overall not a bad game  -Peter
Great game @slimeboos!
Fun and aesthetically pleasing! The controls were probably a tad too difficult but it's definitely worth tweaking a bit to get it perfect, since the mayhem nature of it is really cool! Great visuals and I like the UI popups for delivery and drop off, also I thought that the indicator was really well done!
Just letting you know that the links to GitHub releases are broken.
-Tim
Hey @daugvydas, @paulajulija, @modest, @vilius, and @manmantas
Great little game you guys submitted for the LD53 Jam!
I like the art style of the game!
Some feedback based on my experience with the game:
- I think the game could benefit from the player turning to the mouse direction only when mouse is clicked, just because the omni directional run is a bit weird (moving mouse around and running in one direction should not rotate the player around...) - I dont really like the fact that the game requires the player to die multiple times to complete it, I think it would be better if it was a bit more skill based and not *kill, die, kill, die, ..., kill, win game*. - The player would sometimes drop the artifacts which seemed unintended - I dont think its intended for enemies to damage each other, because after I realised they could my strategy was to run into a room, run around until they would kill each other then kill whoever was left...
Overall great game, with great artistic direction, I liked the LOTR reference too:)
Keep up the good work,
-Tim
Hey @emaigualmc2-art, @danntheoperator, @the-fazzo, @sergio-gp11 and @emrod
Great game you guys put together!
I liked the flat shading of the game and the lack of textures, it gave the game a robotic look! I also like the background sounds, gave the feeling of being in a factory.
Some feedback:
- Some parts of the robots arm don't get moved when the arm moves, I think its a parenting issue but I'm not sure.. - I think the order menu should be redesigned to be a bit more obvious, it took me a bit to realise what the point of the game is... - This is not a game feedback but feedback for file downloads, I think it would be better to have a single download of a zipped folder rather than downloading a separate `exe` and `86_64` files
Overall great little game!
Keep up the good work
-Tim
Overall I like the game, the graphics look nice, the map is pretty interesting as well. I did find the fixed camera annoying though, it would clip into trees and other objects which made it really difficult to see. It would've also been nice if there was a fail state when you crash, I managed to flip the Tuk Tuk a few times and was able to just keep going, maybe the packages could've been destroyed?
In general though it's a nice game, the driving mechanics were very interesting, definitely felt like driving a three wheeled vehicle
Also I would've preferred it if the mini map was fixed and the player icon oriented instead, but that's more of a minor inconvenience, so overall a pretty good game! -Peter
@aune Great game you made in this jam!
J'adore l'art c'est tres beau!
I would have loved the option to explicitly tell the bikes how to get to a point! But other than that a very beautiful and polished game!
Keep up the great work!
-Tim
Hey @artatruc, @butterflan and @flokami what a beautiful game you guys made in such a short timespan!
I really like the art and the aesthetic of the game, the audio is beautiful and the whole game just gives the feeling of being in a medieval time in a tavern or a small shop!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to complete even a single order because the controls were so complicated, I get how the ingredients work but not the magic...
The "How To Play" Button doesn't really do anything in the game either.
A very beautiful game and with a bit of work it can definitely make it self into a proper steam release! I've played a similar game art and game mechanic wise game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1210320/Potion_Craft_Alchemist_Simulator/
Overall well done and keep up the amazing work!
-Tim
A fairly relaxing game, pretty nice sound track, although the noise of the boat(?) did become slightly distracting after a while. Think it could be an interesting racing game (pod racing anyone?) with the driving mechanics.
The only real criticism I have is that it felt too linear and the gameplay felt lacking, would've been nice if the points of interest were spread out and not guided by the arches, although I suppose you could always go off track.
Really like the stylized water graphics, the foam really added a nice touch. -Peter
Really liked the game overall, I think the graphics were really good, love the voxel art style, the atmosphere was really nice, although the ambient music did get repetitive quite quickly. I like that the game didn't tell me where to find the packages, and instead allowed me to explore freely. The vehicle physics were nice, although I'm not sure why there were two rovers? In case one got lost / destroyed? Initially thought the second rover maybe had more power for climbing up the mountain to the red drop-off point, but it didn't seem like it.
Only issue I had with the game was that getting to the red drop-off point was a bit tedious, would've been nice if the second rover *had* more power to make that climb slightly easier.
But overall a really nice game! Was it inspired by KSP at all? Definitely seemed like a familiar art style (aside from the art style here being more voxel-oriented) -Peter
Hey @idan9000 and @matterlinx
Awesome game that you guys made in the game , I personally love the "party-raider" genre of the game, the art is absolutely wonderful! The only suggestions I can make is to be able to easier change the order of the party and to have stats like damage of the party, health of the party and so on, other than that great game!
-Tim
Hey @zacbackdrop, @dylan-h, @milestto, @sarah-quinn, and @fizzbark awesome little game you guys put together!
I really like the visuals and the gameplay is quiet awesome! I like how the monk and the dog have to work together to solve some puzzles, looking forward to the post jam version with more content and the continuation to the story!
-Tim
Hey @julia-nistel, @beanboi, @tycoonbelle and @casualnothing  Well done on the game that you made in such a short timespan! 🎉
The game is simple in it's mechanics and has a shop system which is great! I don't really know how you lose the game but I guess its nice to just play it!
Great art, and tileable water textures!
I wish there was a button for picking up as many souls as you can carry just because it gets annoying spamming space all the time. Also I don't quiet undestand what the speed upgrade does in the shop since you just move as fast as you press WASD...
Overall great game and well done on all the effort you guys put in!
-Tim
@shroush Glad you like the game! The controls text vanishing has been fixed and will be included in the next patch. And yeah Yan does experience the flickering as well so hopefully it'll be fixed in the next patch as well. /Peter
@unidaystudio thanks for playing the game! The controls text disappearing will be fixed in the next patch, as for having to press Enter to close the tutorial I'll see if we can make it close on Left Click as well :) /Peter
@frostyhugo ** angry react * * -Tim
@zgragselus thanks for playing! Enemies will never respawn in chunks you've visited, so you can always take your time and clear the way. And yes, always some issues to iron out... does disabling screen-space reflections make the weird graphics go away? - Yan
Hey @dougggggg and @darzu, great game!
I really liked the destructible environment and the art style of the game, I think the game would be perfect in terms of art if instead of an empty horizon there were tall mountains with occasional greenery on it, giving it a Caribbean vibe.
I also really like that the towers could destroy each other!
I think it would be good if the player moved a little quicker and if you could rotate the sail to match with the wind!
There is a little bug when shooting a destroyed tower after its been destroyed creates destruction effect again even though no tower is visible (after collecting the delivery)
Overall great game and well done!
-Tim
Hey @tyler-walton, @sebastian-gonzales and @cody-holt
Great game you guys put together! I like the interpretation of the theme, your classic approach to delivery:)
Some feedback: - I will say that in my opinion this game could really benefit from the use of a medieval style font: https://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=medieval or https://www.1001fonts.com/search.html?search=medieval
- I also think that ESC should close the letter if you have a letter open and then bring up the options menu, which renders behind the letter anyway if there's one open. Just because natural playthrough feels like it should be esc rather than the number of the letter you currently have open...
- I feel like having the distance tool be broken down into its Adjacent side and Opposite side so you know the exact X and Y components might be useful since there is no way (that I found) to lock the measuring tool to one axis. I think the game could benefit a lot from something like that and make the caculation a bit easier
- I also think that adding temporary markers to the game is a must, because it's kind of a bit difficult to go back and check with each distance...
Overall a very beautiful game, I really like the visuals (all except the font) and the delivery of the game is great too!
-Tim
Hey @stellarnightmare
I liked your game, it was a pretty, immersive world! I liked the character design and the audio was cute!
Some feedback:
- I don't think you are normalizing your input, holding A and W moves the character faster than W would - I got stuck in the first villages construction building and couldn't get out because there is no jumping - When getting to the second village I walked to the quest NPC and walked past him accidently without reading the message, as I couldn't read what he said again, I had to restart - This is a personal preference but in my opinion, I think the camera should rotate around the player not an arbitrary point above and behind the player, because having created a cute character like that it would be great to see him!
Overall great and immersive game, and the art style definitely has some potential!
-Tim
Hey @arturcosta, @pedro-papa-paniago, @cabritta, and @joaopbax
Great game you guys put together! I **really** liked the art style of the game! The mix of 2D and 3D + the shader + the stylised water gave the game a unique, beautiful look!
Couple of things as far as feedback goes: - I was able to rotate the player model to be at 90d to usual rotation, I am not sure how I did it but I couldn't repeat it after trying again - I think the game would benefit from using num keys 1,2,3 to access the fishing rods rather than picking them up from the boat as I think the game would just feel better with that...
Over all great game, and good entry, loved it, hope you guys continue to develop it!
-Tim
Well done! @jacattac, @brandon-horlacher, @lacklustrr, @seth-ringger, @alec-viera
Great game and very visually pleasing, the audio is great and the spawning queues were very helpful! I wasn't expecting a "protect the president" kind of game mode and it was pretty challenging, I liked the game mechanic that would allow the player to put themselves in front of the pizza to take the fall!
Some feedback:
It would be better in my opinion if the player wouldn't collide with the pizza reason for this being that there were times when I wanted to get in front of the pizza as it was turning and couldn't because of the collisions
Although I think that this game without an ADS mechanic is nice and gives vibes of a CS type shooter, I think the game would benefit from either a perfect accuracy when standing still or an ADS mechanic
Overall great and very beautiful game!
Great game overall, Interesting combat system - reminds me of "Realm of the mad God", also amazing that you added a shop and XP system ! Some great mechanics that could have great use in future games, well done! - Tim
Hey @anguium, @oritar, @KenneyNL, @JDSherbert well done on this great little game!
It's very polished and has great replayability! The whole game just works well together, I can't really even give any constructive criticism because it looks like you guys nailed it! It's beautiful, sound is great and works well with the game, explosions are great looking, UI and controls are super simple and intuitive!
Overall well done!
-Tim
Hey @jm-studio and @shiiigear
What an awesome game you guys put together in the time of the jam!
I really like the visuals and the relaxing audio! As far as the gameplay goes I really like the fact that you can progress past the level without needing to get the optimal distance, which is great for the scenario of a game jam! I like the difficulty of the game as well, really clever game mechanics and greatly communicated to the user!
Over all well done!
-Tim
Well done! The game was definitely a bit scary the first time I played, I tensed up waiting for a jump scare (slightly disappointed that I didn't get one). Really liked the mood, the ambient sound was quite good. Although the game was a bit too short imo (of course I know this was because of tooling issues so it's not a big point). Overall the initial experience was nice :) /Peter
A simple idea, the typing felt a bit unresponsive at times, but overall it was a simple and fun typing game
I really enjoyed this game, and the art style worked really well. The main complaint I have with the game would be that the first challenge was too difficult, it should've really been more of an easy introduction to the game mechanics. On top of that I found the walking sound pretty annoying, I *think* partially due to it sounding like it peaks / clips as if it was too loud. Other than that I really enjoyed the game
Really fun game, good art, didn't fit very well with the theme but overall a fun experience
Not a bad game overall, enjoyed solving the first puzzle
Overall it's a good experience, I really like the art style, although the movement felt a bit sensitive. It did get a bit repetitive, but that might be intentional and not uncommon for these kinds of games, definitely liked it!
Felt unfinished, the jumpscares weren't very scary, if anything they just surprised me with a loud noise out of nowhere, with nothing actually happening
