WOW! this game is so polished and so pretty it's hard to belive it was made in such a small amount of time. I am at a loss for words I can't even think of anything to say aside of WOW

So fun! My partner played it while I watched and I can say it's great to play with someone else! Challenging, entertaining and polished game. The art is incredible as well, I can't believe you all made this in such a short time. Props for the extensive writing. Great entry! If you want you can check out our game as well, π
Nice game with fun and realxing vibes. The generated list was fun to work with and the whacky charachters were fun to read about. The text was funny too. Solid entry, gj!
It was solid. The idea itself was very simple but the gameplay was extremely polished for a compo entry! the vfx and sfx were the best part about the presentation. The visuals for movement feel a bit like sliding but the controls themselves feel very good to play! Great job!
Amazing COMPO entry! the graphics and mood are great! With more time more variety and making the movement not as slide-ish would make it even better, but of course that wouldn't be a priority. What matters is the controls felt nice and the gameplay was interesting and the mood and graphics were extremely effective from the floor pattern to the choice of font. Good Job!
The art, music and mood are so good! Not to mention the gameplay is fun ad unique! I read the sprite editor post and its so amazing and fascinating! This game is on another level, wow!
Very original idea! Simple and effective graphics complemented by great sound to create a very immersive mood! Really nice game!
Nice game, the graphics are simple but they work. I'm no expert for audio but I found that the sfx work well. The game is very simple and it works so I'm finding it hard to find things to criticize. The 10 seconds mechanic is simple and fun and the dialogue was funny. I'll also give you props for making the font readable in 10 seconds wich is a problem in many games in this jam! GJ!
We had a very similar idea but then went into a completely different direction so it's very nice to see it completed. I absolutely adored the visual style, although I found the font is too small and really hard to read, but the colors and the designs are stunning gj!
The graphics were great with a great mood and nice writing. The only problem was that the different font sizes, althought fit the mood were really hard to read in the limited amount of time. But overall well done!
Really good graphics! I like the combination of mechanics and the multiple rounds, there is a real sense of progression, one of the best speed dating entries!!
Amazing atmosphere, it was the right amount of unsettling and aesthetic to keep me playing. Some objects were a bit hard to recognize until they were eaten and in general whatever was on the table was sometimes hard to see. Though I found the cracking of the face a very nice visual tell for progress. Overall it was a great submission
Fn game, very impressive. The visuals create a great coherent mood and are really interesting. And the event every ten seconds mechanic instead of just enemies or weapons feels also unique in this jam. I found it a bit hard to aim but maybe it's just me being bad at fps. Overall cool Game!
Wow! amazing graphics, mood and audio! The mechanics are interesting, and it was fun to figure out how to play! Great experience!
loved the mix of lo-fi chill and bomb defusing stress, it was hard to understeadnd at first but after a bit it was enjoyable. the style was charming too
Nice work, there is quite a lot of work done here. I couldn't find a way of going back to the menu from the credits and instruction screens, so I had to restart the game. The walk cycle animation was well made although the graphics are cute but a bit eclectic. The gameplay wasn't crazy original but very solid. I really enjoyed the minimap, I think its a nice element that fixes a problem that games like this face: the big empty maps. Nice entry:)
Simple and fun game! The premise was funny and I like how new elements are introduced as you play. The graphics were simple but clean and I especially liked reserving the lineart for the interactable objects and things and leaving the background without it. Good job!:)
Simple game but it works so well! the mechanics are polished and enjoyable! The graphics look great the vfx make even simple rectangles look extremely polished! The audio is really great to! Great work!
Nice vibes! Loved the potion aesthetics and the comfy beats. The chaos was really fun. The volume starts turned on but the switch displays "off" so you have to click twice before it starts working properly. Also the rotation made it a bit too hard to read sometimes. I loved the chaos and I liked the little radio you can use to change tracks! I found the graphics were also fitting and well drawn. Nice entry!:)
Great game! The art looks amazing! I loved the music, sets the mood right. Engaging gameplay as well and i can see how much thought you put behind it.
I adored the Graphics and the Vfx in this game! Mixed with the the audio it creates a really effective mood! The gameplay was simple but once i figured it out it was relly fun to play! I found it also very creative, great work!
Nice and funny dialogue. The graphics and music were good but i feel that they lack consistency. With a little more time, polish and coherence they could be really great since the style itself is really uniqe. The font was a bit hard to read. The idea was very cute tho and gameplay enjoyable. GJ!:)
Despite the simplicity and the low number of levels, it's still a competent work! The main thing it needs is coyote time, and it can probably be added even now as a bug fix
Wow amazing art, espescially the shooting sprites, the music and the mood work well and the whole game fits nicely with the theme! I needed a couple of attempts before figuring it out but then it became really enjoyable! gj:)
Great mood the graphics are cute but i think that what sells it is the music and the sfx! the gameplay is original and fun! the only think id change is that i would do something about the duplicate weapons maybe powering up existing ones or turning them into sparks. but the fact of aving to return to the fire makes for an original and fun gameplay gj!
the style is very charming and cute, the instruction scrapbook was cute and fitting but the font was hard to read so i had to just guess the mechanics, still it was very cute and soothing once I figured out how to play
fun! cool take on the theme and really lovely mood. it's short but well executed and the graphics look amazing!
Really great music and graphics! The mechanic was extremely uniqe although hard to grasp nut I liked that you didn't have to turn the sword blue but you had moments where it was fast enough to hit but not at full force I feel it would have been too punishing otherwise so gj! Again, great art, the design is really clean and so is the animation. The vfx are abit lacking but the music is perfect! the little bat clocks are really cute and I don't just say that because they look like the protagonist in our game:) Great work!
Cute game! the graphics are cute! I couldn't really tell what the spells did so maybe some feedback (either with sound or animation) could have helped make it a bit more intuitive? the pumpkin picking part of the game was nice and the mood and graphics felt cute. Good job!:)
Very cute game with nice graphics and a bit of a nostalgic vibe. the text was kind of hard to read but maybe that's the challenge. Also the symbol that exits the window for buying animals looks like a reroll button to me, so I was confused and thought it would let me change the available options. Overall the game is simple but addicting it makes for a nice idle game, gj!
It fits nicely with the theme. The graphics need a bit of polish and it might benefit from other clues for deducing the killer other than proximity, or maybe clearer desings for memorizing people around a certain victim. But the controls themselves and gameplay work nicely and the idea is pretty interesting. Nice entry!:)
The atmosphere is so on point and the animation is great and a stunning experience. great work
Great graphics and music, there were some collision and layer order problems but you seem to have fixed those in the HTML version on itch.io. I sadly didn't really get the main mechanic, if I pressed E before 3 seconds nothing happened, if I pressed it after I got a popup and the game crashed, it might be a me problem tho since other people seem to be able to play. The shooting and running feel great tho, and the sound effects really add to that. Nice entry
Great work! A bit too trial-and-error for my taste, but it's polished and interesting to play. π Cool visuals as well. As some other commenters said before me the music does feel somewhat out of place, but it's not a deal breaker and it's enjoyable as its own thing. Again, good job!
Interesting idea! I got tired after 200s because I didn't know where I should go, but the idea is very original! The mood is also very nice and the little lightbulb very cute! Nice entry:)
Really pretty game! The mood and graphics are nice and idea is super interesting! The mechanic adds a nice amount of challenge without beeing too frustrating since i think its very well designed. I agree with other comments that the camera could have been lower, but overall great job!
@coderaurus hi there! we're so sorry to hear about that, so we wanted to ask if you were using a controller, since unfortunately it's not supported as of right now. please let us know so we can help & learn what the problem was to try and fix it. thank you for downloading and trying to play though π much appreciated
@everyone thank you so much for your ratings and your comments!!! we're glad you've enjoyed our silly little game and we're working hard to bug fix and making everything work properly (especially to have more waves actually appear)! have a great jam everybody π
@thorpalsson thank you for the feedback! we absolutely need to work more on it (and we're trying our best), but we hope you enjoyed it nevertheless π
@coderaurus (one of the programmers here): that might have been the issue actually, try plugging out the controller just in case; that might fix it. We were working on controller support but couldn't get it working in time unfortunately, definitely coming in a future update tho~
@gonzalol Thank you so much! We're trying to fix the enemy hit detections in the coming days~
@johnnysix Really glad you enjoyed it! We'll push our first update tomorrow which will have a functioning respawn and pause menu, so that you'll have an easier time retrying wave 2 without softlocking etc
@coderaurus thank you so much for playing and for all your feedback! There actually are more enemy types implemented and working but they're all supposed to spawn after wave two (which right now has a bug that ends the game right there instead of moving to the third wave). So we're trying to fix it for the coming days. The health bar feedback is especially appreciated, we'll probably reduce enemy damage to 1. Menu's have already been fixed in the bugfixing update that we'll push today~
@phoenixofforce @steamdr4gon Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! We're working on improving hit detection for enemies so that your shots are more consistent for an update in the near future~
@studiocherno thank you so much! and thanks for playing it on stream, we had fun watching it π
Hi @Sheepolution, i'm the composer, Decadentia. Thank you very much for the feedback, really glad you liked it! You can find me on almost all streaming services by searching Decadentia or you can go to my bandcamp https://decadentia.bandcamp.com/music where i upload more content and also where 'im going to upload the ost of DingDongDie when i finish it.
@fabula-rasa thanks for playing and for the feedback!
Firstly the showing of the bulletshots is a problem we've been trying to figure out since the beginnig so thank you for the zoom out scene suggestion, we might see if it fits, if it doesn't disrupt the gameplay it might be a nice idea!
As for the bug, might I ask which version did you play? We thought we fixed the bug by fixing the pause/reload menus overlapping but if you palyed a newer version we'll have to look into it again.
Thanks again for playing and commenting!
@alex-de-la-cour Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed our game! We're really excited to keep working on it after the jam so it's nice to know that people want to play!
@fabula-rasa Nice! Thanks again for playing and rating!:)
A shame you ran out of time and couldn't implement everything. The platforming mechanics don't feel bad tho and I like how you introduced them organically. Unfortunally I got stuck after clipping through a wall(screenshot included) Cattura.PNGBut we can totally relate about learning Fmod!
The music is perfect and the graphics fit nicely. Only thing is the first few switches felt like it wasn't picking up my keys? I tried to play them a few times to see if I was missing or if it was a consistent problem but I couldn't really tell since there was no feedback for just hitting the key and missing. Aside form that solid game, the mechanic fits nicely with the theme, nice entry!
Nice polished game; great graphics and mood. The mechanic works well and the amount of things that are in the game is impressive. The walking speed feels a bit sluggish but maybe it wants to give a sense of space and low gravity? It doesn't matter anyways beacuse the level desing feels balanced and interesting! Amazing work
The graphics, mood and story are absolutely perfect. We had a pretty similar idea at the start of our brainstorming: a narrative driven game with a bunch of minigames to tell different moments in someone's life. We then completely discarded it because we thought it would be too hard to implement a series of minigames you could do in 10 seconds without it beeing too punishing. Your solution of looping the gameplay is perfect and it really gives a sense of progress without feeling stuck and made it really enjoyable to play! The minigames themselves weren't that original but I think that aids the game: since you don't have time to explain the gameplay making it really intuitive is key. The graphics are just stellar and really sell the mood! Amazing Work!
Cute game with a very interesting premise. One thing that bothered me was that when the guys' paths coincided there was no real way to tell if the movement was being placed because the pink dots would overlap. Still the mood was perfect! It's a shame you run out of time it could have been interesting to see more gj!
Amazing mood and graphics! The way it fits with the theme is Very unique and the gameplay is quite enjoyable. I think the game was quite hard but the safe point made up for it in a nice way so it felt challenging but not punishing. Great Work!
Fun game! The "are you sure?" part of the restart menu was a bit frustrating. The gameplay itself was fun with an impressive level genrator! The artstyle itself worked well but I didn't love the color choices for the enviroment art. The slime animation and sfx are the best part of the presentation, in my opinion: they were really belivable, fun and satisfying! Good Work!:)
Real nice and fun use of the theme, a bit complicated and overwhelming at first but you can get used to it. What I absolutely loved was the paring of the art and music to give life to the characters the fact that each of them had their own personal color palette, font, voice and music fit togheter so well and gave them so much personality! I found all of them really endearing even tho I only got to talk to them for a short time wich shows how well they're made! I found the pirate chef's relationship to his wok hilarious too! Great wok(pun intended)!
