Interesting shooter. I was paying too much atention to the enemies to understand what happens every ten seconds he he The armor changes and sometimes you don't have any and I just tried to hide after any column. Note: I rarely play FPS games.

I like it. The guns were a little difficult to use but I like that the machine gun just spams bullets and sound effects to the point that it *almost* lags the game. Just like a big gun should. I survived like 300 seconds.

I love how polished this is. This is the first game I've seen with a `fullscreen` button for HTML, and you have custom loading splash art. The movement mechanics are smooth too, I'm definitely gonna have to look at your source code. Nicely done!

Really fun shooting game with good feedback and juice. I was able to kill 76 enemies in 287 seconds. The guns all felt fun to use and distinct from each other, although the assault rifle felt like the best one by far because close range is too dangerous. It would've been nice to have something to do when your weapon gets taken away other than just dodge enemy attacks - maybe if there were health kits around the level you could run around and collect those.

Nice entry! Smooth controls, I missed invert mouse feature as I am used to it!

Fun game, I liked the variation between the different gun choices. I wish there were more than one enemy, though. The arena felt big enough to move around in but not too big.

This is a great little FPS. I played a few times and managed to get 23 kills on my best run (it's been a while since I played an FPS!). I liked the random weapon switching, and it was fun switching from attacking to running away when you have no gun. I found the recoil on the minigun to be a bit strange with the way it moved down slowly when you stopped shooting; my favourite gun was definitely the shotgun. The enemies also felt a bit bullet-spongy as they took a lot of hits to go down sometimes. Some audio feedback when you get a kill would be nice, as well as a kill counter while you're playing. Great visuals and sound effects though, and I liked the level design and the enemy AI. Nice work!

That was fun! very impressive amount of work for a compo game. I like how all the guns felt different, but something about the mouse movement made aiming feel weird, and sometimes I wouldn't get a gun after 10 seconds and would have to just run away (intentional or a glitch?)

The sound effects and vfx were very well done, I especially liked the minigun bullet casings flying around

megafocus 2022-10-08 11:52

That was very fun! Cool movement.

figadei 2022-10-08 22:23

It was solid. The idea itself was very simple but the gameplay was extremely polished for a compo entry! the vfx and sfx were the best part about the presentation. The visuals for movement feel a bit like sliding but the controls themselves feel very good to play! Great job!

taximan981 2022-10-08 22:30

The movement system being fun really made this from a great game to an amazing one. Loved every second of playing, the weapons were fun and switching forced me to adapt which was awesome. Really well done!

alaah 2022-10-11 02:07

FPS is not my genre so I don't know how innovative this is, but it's a fun concept. Love the quake movement speed though; I can't shoot but I can run. I lived for 4 minutes

agentparsec 2022-10-11 07:11

Enemies Killed: 26 Shots Fired: 2001 Time survived: 141.10s

Well done for a compo entry!

ditam 2022-10-11 10:03

Plays very smoothly, good job!

shadowcast 2022-10-11 12:51

An FPS in 48h is quite impressive of itself! Though the weapon balance are not quite there. I'm guessing that the rifle should be the worst and the minigun the best? But the recoil on the minigun is barely manageable! I'm guessing the recoil added per bullet is the same as the rifle, though with a much greater fire rate?

fgamer99 2022-10-11 14:08

It feels really nice and smooth. Also it looks really nice for a 3d game

ping78 2022-10-12 04:01

@gotanod Player gets a random weapon, enemies spawn and player gets healed a tiny bit.

@markymark Been adding fullscreen buttons since LD29.

@serxiolas There, as well as an FOV slider.

@retrisma For more than one enemy type you gonna have to play the [prequel](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/eternal-run-1). Or the [one](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/mineral-hunt) with way too big of a map.

@ben-barsdell Well the player character is a bit dazed form controlling the recoil of a minigun. It takes time to recover. :p

@skleembof Something about the mouse movement. That's just WebGL being... WebGL. Not having a gun is fully intentional.

@shadowcast Weapons are designed to be fun, distinct and provide different styles of engagement. Having worst to best weapon would make more sense if they are being unlocked as progress in a usual game. Though minigun probably needs a minute buff. If the recoil is not barely manageable then it's not a minigun. :p All weapons have different recoil rages in both axis.
