LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Fathom Pass by Listonos 2021-04-26T10:13:51Z

You really nailed the mood, and I enjoyed the story quite a bit, despite the slow pacing. It's really difficult to balance choose-your-own-adventure style stories, but you did very well, especially in just 48 hours. Well done, I enjoyed it!

Into The Abyss by nanoblit 2021-04-26T10:09:48Z

Fun idea, ad I enjoyed the balance between traps and rewards, but I wish there was a little more gameplay. I'm not a huge fan of the strict time limit.

hello doctor i am in pain by elZach 2021-04-26T10:26:58Z

Very cool idea, but it's difficult to play as implemented. One of the best ideas I've seen so far in this jam though. It's just difficult to read all of the numbers and mentally understand what they mean and where they are relevant.

Bottomless Pitfall by emanvidmaker 2021-04-26T10:44:16Z

Fun idea, love the modeling! I wish that there were more than one type of obstacle, but even so, it's a fun little mobile-game-style time-waster. Looks & feels great.

Stairwell by GiovanniBarrottu 2021-04-26T11:08:36Z

Distinctive visuals, interesting idea. I wish that there was a little more variety to the gameplay starting out, and it's tough to know what to do early on. Would have liked more sound effects and music.

Diving Bubble by thesnide 2021-04-26T10:38:08Z

Fun little arcade game, and a cool idea! Well done in making this so quickly. It was a little difficult to get a grasp on the controls and the order of the colors initially, but once I got over that hurdle, it was deceptively fun to play. Challenging too, but not overly much. Well done!

ATOM by cyriaque 2021-04-26T11:03:05Z

The game looks great, and I enjoyed the Portal vibes. The physics are pretty janky, though, and it makes solving the puzzles tough.

Nostril Navigator by Xenon27 2021-04-26T10:51:19Z

This is a really cool idea, but I was also physically repulsed by how it looked. (Which is a good thing.) Simple scrolling gameplay, but gets difficult enough that it's still fun to play. I can't stress enough how great of an idea this is, and it's executed nicely. Well done!

Canyoneer by Kieron Woodhouse 2021-04-26T10:59:05Z

Cool idea, and the mechanics of using the rope (as well as the rope physics) worked well. The controls were pretty difficult to understand and use effectively, though. I also found it difficult to see sometimes with the motion blur.

Surface by fizzbark 2021-04-26T10:21:28Z

a+ content warning For real though, I'm a pretty big fan of how this game looks: the characters are charming, the level looks great, and it had enough wit to make me laugh out loud. In terms of gameplay, it's a pretty simple platformer. Maybe being a little more generous with the checkpoints would be nice. Regardless, well done.

LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Halves by Rialgar 2021-10-04T00:59:04Z

I wish there was a small animation so you can see which of the halves you lost to. Nice concept for an addictive mobile game, though. Maybe you could take the concept into some new directions?

Bumpy Road by scottthoo 2021-10-04T00:55:40Z

I wish the level design had a few more twists and turns in it, and I would have liked some music. Jumping around felt fun, though :)

The Unstable Machine by pinkemma 2021-10-04T01:09:32Z

It took me a minute to figure out the controls and the goals, but this was quite fun to balance. Great take on the theme as well. I just wish that the instructions at the beginning were a little more clear. Great job though!

Who Let The Cows Out by Omlahid 2021-10-04T03:21:59Z

Fun little block pusher! I would have liked to have a little bit of music, or variety in sound effects. Cool level design, though.

Cloudfall by Diego Escalante 2021-10-04T03:18:27Z

I cannot get enough of this one! The seamless music shifts as you increase in height, the subtle difficulty changes as the clouds speed up... I could go on. You've got room to grow with the implementations of the mechanics (personally, I found it hard to progress with the slowdown mechanic, even though it looked cool... maybe it should just slow down the crow and let the clouds continue moving?), and a touch of leniency with where the safe spots on the clouds are would be nice, but those are just nitpicks. What a fun arcade game, with great presentation! Well done!

Unstable by DevParty 2021-10-04T00:54:18Z

Feels like an updated version of the classic arcade game! I liked the airy tone. The goal of 1500 meters felt like a lot for this style of game, though.

Harry by Owl_Skip 2021-10-04T03:09:59Z

The presentation was very well done! The cutscenes felt pretty slow though. Beautiful piano and great worldbuilding made up for it though!

Unstabtower by Spacespytv 2021-10-04T00:46:14Z

My jump seems to be very low, and I'm experiencing frame drops in the browser. However, I like the visual style and the music quite a bit, and the fast-paced platforming seems fun. I'd love to play an updated version.

Break Through by Richard Jiang 2021-10-04T00:51:23Z

I wish it had some more music, and the blocks seemed a little finicky to me (blocks didn't always break when I hit them, etc.) but I like the idea of switching gravity and not having control over one of your axes.

Unstable Magic by Final Act 2021-10-04T03:05:49Z

Overall, I liked it! I think the presentation was good, but it could have used a few more things (music, or death animations.) I wasn't a huge fan of the shooting randomly thing, but there was good variety in the enemy designs that kept the game spicy. Well done!

ecosystem except there is no equilibrium and everyone dies probably by parafactual 2021-10-04T01:14:22Z

Cool idea, but I wish the controls were on the same screen as the gameplay. I always love console games, though. Gameplay loop felt fun, but was hard to get the hang of

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Torchero by Slowline 2022-04-05T14:56:58Z

Fun little survival game, enemy design looks nice, and had a good time just walking around and checking things out. I wish that torches did something more, such as stopping enemies from spawning, and I think that the enemies had too much health on average, but the feeling of being surrounded fit the theme of "delay the inevitable" very well. Well done

Faster Than Time by EPU 2022-04-05T14:51:36Z

I love the mood! Fun levels, but I wish the camera was zoomed out a bit more, as I often was confused on how to get to the goal, and was ambushed by razor blades a lot. I also felt that the jump was a bit jerky and hard to control. Presentation is quite good, though: the art and music are spot-on.

BaraRun by DerekBell 2022-04-05T15:10:27Z

Fun little endless runner! When I saw the theme, this genre of arcade games was what I first thought of, and this game executes that style well. The grappling hook, despite taking a bit to understand, felt good to use, and was more intuitive than I thought. I wish that the camera let me see a little further ahead, though, so I could see what is coming- I kept getting got by unpredictable terrain. Well done!

Omni Empire by arqitech 2022-04-05T15:05:10Z

This RTS-style game was well-thought out and simple enough to learn quickly. You use your areas either to defend from invaders or expand your resources. I felt that the map was too large for the screen size, though, and all of the units, towers, and even the planets were too small to keep track of well. One planet even goes off the screen (in the web version) sometimes and you lose track and control of it. Great game, I would just prefer if the map was revamped to be a little easier to navigate and see what's going on.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

WeaponSwitcher by Rialgar 2022-10-08T20:23:46Z

This was fun, I enjoyed it! The main problem I had is that all of the weapons just felt too similar to each other. The strategy seemed to be "click as fast as possible" for all of them.

Arena Run by ping78 2022-10-07T23:04:39Z

Fun game, I liked the variation between the different gun choices. I wish there were more than one enemy, though. The arena felt big enough to move around in but not too big.

Tentris by bentglasstube 2022-10-16T16:25:03Z

Very cool game, definitely made me rethink my normal Tetris strategies! I liked the polish, and it was a great use of theme as well. I wish that the piece set slightly faster after a soft drop, and I wish there was hold piece functionality, but those are just nitpicks.

Trash Planet by SleepyStudios 2022-10-16T16:30:40Z

I like how it looks and the mechanics, but I felt that the level design was unfortunately lacking. It felt like there were puzzle elements intended, but most of the gameplay just felt like waiting to get to the exit. The junk everywhere was a cool touch at the beginning, but the fact that most of it just went away as the level began felt a little weird to me. Maybe it would have been cool if the level only let you out if you recycled everything? However, the graphics and music were both cool, the leaderboard functionality was neat, and the overall ideas with level elements were great. Keep it up!

Under Pressure by Teanan 2022-10-07T23:40:56Z

I liked how it looks, and I've always been a fan of this style of game. One critique I have is it was I was never sure when to put coal into the furnace. I liked that there were several inconveniences that could happen as the game went on though.

BackroomsBreak - Alpha version test v0.1 by Eugenik 2022-10-07T22:52:19Z

It didn't run on my computer- on integrated Intel GC. It didn't support my driver.

DecaDare by Caladrius 2022-10-08T20:14:21Z

This game is adorable! I liked all of the art and the settings, it has a huge WarioWare vibe. All of the minigames were fun, a little too much mashing for me, but the variety was great. I wish minigames didn't repeat so much, I got a few repeats right at the beginning and I thought there were way fewer minigames than there were. Overall fantastic job!

Enter\space... by Hexela 2022-10-07T23:45:26Z

I liked it a lot, the graphics were really nice! The minigames were fun too, but I wish there was a little more variety to them, or that they switched up every once in a while.

Fred & Pete by GeneralFlunder 2022-10-07T23:09:50Z

I liked the idea of switching between combat and puzzles, but it felt pretty awkward to play. The puzzles felt too easy, so the combat felt more unbalanced. Also, it stopped working after the second level.

There are 10 types of 10 seconds by Pikario 2022-10-16T16:36:53Z

I liked the shooting gameplay, the mechanic of switching back and forth was pretty fun, but sometimes I felt like I was taking hits without really being able to avoid them since there was no indication of when gameplay would switch. The points where the captain was speaking were fun, but they also got in the way of gameplay because it switched so abruptly. Overall, good game, but I wish the cutscenes didn't get in the way so much.

Dodgex by chingle 2022-10-08T20:02:48Z

Great job on this! The simplicity of both the graphics and the gameplay really appealed to me, and the slow way that you introduced the mechanics was perfect. The pause as the lasers at the top shoot is also well done, it makes things so much more suspenseful. It was a really fun play, as addictive as any arcade game could ever want to be!

10 Second Traffic by Grandblood 2022-10-04T16:58:55Z

Very fun game that kept my attention with the funny and interesting upgrade combinations. Don't pick both "Jam" and "Delivery" :]

LD52 — Harvest

Harvesters From Outer Space by fmdkdd 2023-01-20T03:53:00Z

Really fun for a short game! I loved the visual representation of your health as you took damage. It would have been nice if there was a more clear objective aside from just getting a high score- I didn't feel very motivated as the alien. However, the graphics and mood were insanely good, and really got me going!

Attack of the Mutant Veggies by PizzArt64 2023-01-20T03:41:26Z

The visuals were really great, good job modeling everything over the weekend! The mechanics of planting and growing the enemies were initially difficult to understand (a little bit more detailed of a tutorial would be nice- not necessarily inputs but explaining what exactly we were supposed to do?), and it would have been nice if the enemies acted a little more differently from each other, but the concept and mechanics were all solid. Nice work!

Cardwork Cycle by Honey Pony 2023-01-17T23:40:47Z

I enjoyed the gameplay, and the dynamic of damage/water/shielding worked pretty well, although for the most part the shielding didn't seem to come into play much. I think difficulty scaling with the enemies could have been a bit tougher, as they didn't really apply much pressure to growing new plants. Cool idea, though, and I enjoyed the deckbuilding mechanic!

Scoopy the Spoon Thief by miraculousMelon 2023-01-18T00:07:13Z

Really really great mood with the audio and especially the graphics! The gameplay was quite fun too, honestly the only real stretch for me was the theme. I had a lot of fun with this one, great job!

Honeybee Harvest by Bloodbane 2023-01-18T00:13:25Z

The theme interpretation was good, and the art style was really nice! The music was interesting too. Unfortunately, I think the enemy and projectile hitboxes were too small, and the bee was pretty hard to control shooting the right direction. It just felt way too hard to hit the enemies. Good entry though!

Harpvest by SpoopyIsSad 2023-01-20T03:27:45Z

I was not expecting this to be a horror experience! The atmosphere was good, but I wish that there was a better way to see the monster coming, maybe with audio? The map was also too open and difficult to navigate (it felt same-y).

Harvest of Love by Mariavalcam 2023-01-17T23:51:54Z

The dialogues were pretty funny, and the plants all had very different personalities. Unfortunately, the web version had some weird cropping that made it hard to read.

Food Flinger by ofoof 2023-01-20T03:49:12Z

This was an interesting idea for a game! It was fun to mess around with the physics, but it was pretty sensitive to try to play normally. Without a clear objective in mind it was more difficult to engage with also, it would have been nice to have some goal to work towards. Other than that, though, great job for your first jam!

LD53 — Delivery

The Giggle Pit by jelch 2023-05-07T23:14:04Z

It's a pretty fun concept, and the gameplay concept was pretty intuitive, but it did kinda just feel like watching a stand up comedy routine. It was a really good idea, and a creative spin on the "Delivery" theme, too. Unfortunately personally the jokes didn't really land for me. Great graphics and mood, too. Overall a well-balanced jam entry, and well polished for the time limit.

FISH FRESH delivery by Oleg Bone 2023-05-07T23:58:10Z

Super cute! I love the art style and music! Gameplay was on the simple side but still fun nonetheless. I feel like the menus were a bit confusing and I would have appreciated a bit more of a challenge with the puzzles. Overall great job though!

Dust Courier by SmDaniels 2023-05-08T00:38:57Z

Really really cool text-based rpg!! I loved the presentation and the encounters were entertaining. The writing was also really funny. The gas mechanic didn't really land, and even trying to lose was quite difficult. Still, the mood, humor, and overall variety made for a super fun experience. Nice job!

Space Delivery Simulator by Poppy Entertainment 2023-05-07T23:27:06Z

Interesting idea! Music and graphics were good, but I think it could have benefited from a few more sound effects. Also, I wasn't sure what part was making me lose when I did, having a bit more visual feedback when you're about to lose might be nice. Good idea, though, and the modules all felt fair and fun!

Blockhead Bill by Prismapunch 2023-05-07T23:33:43Z

Fun idea, and great art style and set design! I loved the humor and the characters. The gameplay felt smart but not oppressive. I think audio of some kind would have helped the mood even more but as it is it is quite fun. One small critique was I felt it was pretty hard to click on the correct person waiting in line, it seemed that multiple would be highlighted and it'd pick to talk to the wrong one. That's just a nitpick, though, I enjoyed the game!

The Bun Slinger by BlackCat508 2023-05-08T00:59:25Z

Cool game! Gameplay was super chaotic and fun! I liked the presentation and music a lot. Hitting the laser burger move felt especially cool. The burger making mechanic was interesting but a bit obtuse, and I think there was too much reading in the beginning. Otherwise, though, great job!

Sorting Center Savant by ZungryWare 2023-05-06T01:13:09Z

Very cool game! I loved the puzzles, and the number and complexity of interactive elements was perfect. The puzzles were very well-crafted. I think the sound effects could have been a bit more interesting, though. That is a small nitpick, though, and overall I really enjoyed it!

Disruptive Shipping Services by ConcurrentSquared 2023-05-06T00:30:09Z

Unfortunately I could not play the game because it was too laggy. Also the box zoomed away from me when I tried to pick it up. The opening music and title screen were cool though!

Pack-Man by GyReDHawK 2023-05-06T01:33:24Z

I like the art style, and the concept was pretty fun! Unfortunately, the gameplay got a little stale early on. I think the camera felt a little janky, and the guards, even though they followed simple patterns, were hard to keep an eye on and play around. Cool idea for a stealth game though!

LD54 — Limited Space

Push Away by fraanns 2023-10-18T23:00:01Z

Fun little puzzle game- I enjoyed that the initial mechanic was presented simply, and then was compounded to be more complex (specifically, I liked that some of the pieces came in multiple parts, that all moved together). However, I think the puzzles were a bit on the easy side, and I feel like I won sometimes when I shouldn't have been able to. Fun entry, though!

Too Many Marbles by Thomas Volpato 2023-10-19T00:14:42Z

I like it, seems like a traditional representation of marbles, and the ui is clean, for the most part. I like the spinning UI! I feel like it takes too long for marbles to reach a stop, though.

Just why? by Donitz 2023-10-03T01:24:38Z

This game was amazing! I really loved the graphical style, the difficulty felt hard but fair, and it was overall very intuitive and above all cool to play. Thank you!

Please Sign Here by Ampo 2023-10-02T23:15:20Z

Great job with this one! The graphics and the mood fit very well, and I enjoyed the progression of mechanics, especially the timer. I wish that the portals had a little more wiggle room around them, it felt like I bumped into walls or accidentally backtracked through them pretty often. Overall a really solid entry- I had a lot of fun and played to the end!

Panic Attack by Jd698 2023-10-18T22:55:56Z

I'm interested in how many horror games popped up this jam, and this was a great addition to the list for me. I think the chosen mechanics could have been slightly more interesting (it's the classic Slenderman setup, right down to the notes), but it's still a well made and tense entry. Well done.

2 Dudes against the Liquidator by Kitira 2023-10-03T01:16:33Z

Interesting concept for a space-management game! I played with a friend, and we found the controls to be a little difficult to grasp, but working together to move quickly felt fun. We clipped outside of the walls once for moving too fast!

Out of Spacetime by bellicapelli 2023-10-03T16:09:20Z

Very cool endless-style game! I love how you incorporated the idea of relativity into the mechanics of the game. I think the difficulty progressed a bit too rapidly for my liking, but still a very cool concept and well executed. The graphics are top-tier, too- inspired by Kurzgesagt, maybe? Great job!

Lucas and the House of Lost Souls by BinayaS 2023-10-03T16:26:33Z

Holy moly, I really felt the FAITH vibes from this one. You definitely nailed the atmosphere, even just walking through the house for the first time felt super tense. The secret ending was a really nice touch, too. I think the house was maybe slightly too open of a floor plan- some clutter or narrower hallways might have worked well. That's really just a nitpick, though, fantastic job! I'm rarely so scared by a jam game.

IKOT by blinkblink 2023-10-03T15:50:31Z

Interesting concept for a game, and clean style to match! I wish it was a little bit more clear what the specific restrictions were that some of the customers had- I had to guess a few times. The graphics and sound effects are great.

LD55 — Summoning

Pinball Wizard by Retrisma 2024-04-19T23:50:08Z

@guilherme-tartari Thanks for playing, and for the kind words! If you like, you can press "p" to skip a level.

Horizon Assault by Lélek Hunor Kadosa 2024-04-17T23:52:37Z

I liked the puzzly approach, and it felt like there were reasons to experiment with combinations of different guys! I also loved it visually, it looked super cool. The tutorial was also very welcome! Great job!

STACKED by Its_Capp 2024-04-17T22:26:26Z

I really like the visuals of the bugs crawling all over my screen! The gameplay was slightly basic but I enjoyed directing my ants around the screen! The difficulty increased rather quickly, maybe? Overall, really cool entry, I enjoyed it a lot!!

Mansion Madness by bad_fetus 2024-04-17T22:18:18Z

I enjoyed the idea a lot! The minigame choices were mostly solid, but I particularly liked the ones with the boxes. Cool interpretation of the theme!

Camp of Childhood Fears by yule4ka 2024-04-17T22:39:27Z

I liked the concept! It took a while to understand the enemy, but we figured it out. We also liked Matny :)

Grave Dogger by sekalo 2024-04-17T22:10:37Z

The audio design was cool, and I love the spooky mood! :D

LD57 — Depths

The House in the Dark Forest by Tygrak 2025-04-21T15:49:17Z

Very interesting story-focused walking sim! I really appreciate how the ability to remember walls was granted partway through, it definitely helped the experience both before and after. The story was also well written and intriguing, so well done there.

Abgrund by Ace17 2025-04-07T20:37:07Z

Wow, great exploration game! I noticed a lot of Metroid nods, those were a good touch. :)

I was really blown away by the level design. The trinkets were hidden well and were almost always satisfying to find. I sort of wish the map was hidden away in a more secret spot, since it ended my exploration gameplay right away and replaced it with a "follow-the-map" style. The minimap was great though, super well designed and useful. I think the pacing was also totally solid (maybe a little too much water levels? idk) and I enjoyed the combination of one-off mechanics and reused ones.

Great submission, had a lot of fun with this one!

INFERNAL DESCENT by wisstopher 2025-04-21T16:23:17Z

Really cool puzzle platformer! I definitely got Portal vibes from the helpful/not helpful dialogue and the puzzle design. There's a promising start with these puzzle mechanics, I would like to see them expanded upon somehow! I also quite liked the atmosphere. I'm just a little confused how the simple graphics you implemented caused such a strain on my GPU...

Focus! by grid96 2025-04-21T16:44:12Z

Very cool and unique puzzle mechanic to have different layers of focus depth in a point-and-click scene! I liked scrolling in and out a lot. My main critique is that the point-and-click puzzle felt a little random, in the sense that I wasn't sure what to do at any given moment and mostly clicked around randomly after the bird puzzle. Very fun idea, though!

Iron Depths by Piotr Krzystanek 2025-04-07T19:50:55Z

Cool idea for a finicky-machine style game, the stress of being isolated in a machine that seems unstable and primed to collapse translates well to this style. I enjoyed the audio especially--the alert sounds were genuinely stressful at first. Occasionally, I'd die with barely a warning about the reactor, though, which took me out of the action a little bit. Maybe the warmest zones are a little too punishing? Anyway, I had a good time with it! It definitely rewards a more methodical approach, which is a style that I enjoy.

Miner Monkey by Toot 2025-04-07T20:07:12Z

Cool game! I love the pixel art style, and the platforming felt fast-paced but still fair. The wall-jumping was a little tricky to get right--I always appreciate it when the game gives a little bit of extra feedback when you enter a wallcling state. The sprite change and vertical slowdown when you touch a wall definitely helped in that regard. Looking forward to the more content you promised :)

The Bends by henk 2025-04-21T16:34:15Z

I enjoyed the concept of physically scrolling up in a webpage to get to the surface, clever idea! I appreciated the progression of ideas you had (first just managing the red bar, then obstacles, then moving obstacles) but I thought the pacing was pretty slow. It fits the methodical nature of the game, for sure, but I think it could have stood to introduce those ideas more quickly and expand upon them more. Really fun idea though, and I like how the main character looks :)

Lotus Well by Aly Name 2025-04-08T14:59:01Z

Very cool puzzle design and great artwork! I wish the rate at which new mechanics were introduced was a little less difficult, but all of the puzzles were very rewarding to complete. It's amazing how far you took the core puzzle mechanic you introduced. (The lightning in level 3 was extra difficult...)

Animalia Memories by creekyasher 2025-04-07T19:36:44Z

I loved the atmosphere of this one! You did a great job creating suspense through the visuals and audio. Establishing the context through a training-style video at the beginning was a fun idea, too. In terms of gameplay it's nothing crazy, but I enjoyed it just as a way to fully experience the vibe you constructed. The ending was great and surprisingly poignant. I wish a little that there was slightly more payoff for the suspense in the middle, even if it was just talking to the NPC one more time, but regardless I enjoyed the experience. Well done!
