Pretty cool platformer, really hard like you said, I think it could've used some music though

Thanks for the feedback! In the last few hours,I ended up trying to fix all the bugs, and totally forgot to add the music, haha.
Very cool and fun. I like the concept and the unstable block...especially when going through the other parts where you have to decide if you can go to the next safe spot or not. Good job!
I wish it had some more music, and the blocks seemed a little finicky to me (blocks didn't always break when I hit them, etc.) but I like the idea of switching gravity and not having control over one of your axes.
Yea, sometimes the blocks didn't break but I think that's exactly what unstable means, right? 🤣
Best game so far I played this jam. Strong VVVVVV vibes. Really enjoyable. Will play it through once I have time.
Glad you like it! ;)
Hard and requires some patience, I liked it. The graphics were charming aswell, well done!
This is a really interesting game. At first I couldn't figure out the rules for how the player moves, but once I did it was a pretty enjoyable time. My only criticism really is that it's too hard to distinguish between breakable walls, and walls that kill you. It's kind of a toss up most of the time. Still, it's an interesting idea for a platformer, and I had fun with it.
Definitely a very strong one. There is beauty in simplicity here and definitely potential for further development. I like how the movement is uniform and still gives a challenge.
Nice. Very Abstract. Not sure how it al works, sometimes stuff breaks sometimes not. Anyway cool game!
The controls confused me at first, wasn't sure if I can move up and down at will, I finally figured that it just jumps on its own and I just go left/right. It also felt like sometimes things should break but didn't? The second level was already too frustrating for me so I gave up :D But it is a simplistic and interesting game :)
I bit confusing at first but the game is fun when you get it. 😄 Great job. Keep it up
Pretty good take on the gravity switching, the unusual but still predictable rhythm of the switching works well! only thing that messed me up a bit was the visuals where it's actually hard to to tell differences between blocks
Its a little confusing and hard but overall a good game.
Thanks for the all the comments! I didn't expect the game work so well at the end, but I am glad it did!;)
too hard for me :P great work tho :D fun to play
A really interesting and also really difficult platformer! It was really unpredictable initially and took a while to get used to, but that totally works for the theme. The black and white art style was somewhat to its detriment, though, in my opinion, since it made it a bit hard to tell which blocks did what. The learning curve could have also been a bit better since the first level takes a long time to get used to. A little finnicky to play with, but super difficult and a really neat concept. Good job!
Can't say I loved it. The controlls are a bit finicky.
Nice spin on the classic! As others have said, it's quite difficult though. I personally have problems deciding on whether I like or hate the inconcistencies within the game :D
It took a while for me to get used to the slow acceleration, but game is pretty cool. I didn't like the 3rd level though because the decaying block and the spike block looked too similar.
Interesting concept, fun game although the breaking of blocks felt a bit glitchy at times. Cool secret on the left of the first screen too
A really neat idea for a game! This has potential for more! The different block types we a bit unclear so I had to just bump into everything to find out what would happen. A solid little platformer, keep it up!
pretty cool platformer! Really liked the mechanics and level design =)
Interesting mechanic, was very fun
Very simple but well executed. Cool mechanic, someone mentioned VVVVVV and I totally get where they're coming from. Quite nice gamefeel - pleasant sense of gravity and satisfying 8bit sound effects. Some music would have been nice, and the difficulty curve is probably a bit too intense, but these things drawbacks are totally understandable in a compo game. Great work!
You weren't kidding about it being hard. I was lucky to discover your level select screen, otherwise I would have never seen the later levels :smirk:
I really like how you gave the player a sort of tutorial level that did not need any additional explanation and introduced the concepts to the player in a staggered manner.
It was fun to play, well done!
Interesting game, I liked the mechanic, figuring out the game was a really interesting experience which I enjoyed. I think the game just lacks a lot of feedback in terms of knowing when the block that you touch break, landing on a spike(blocks that you can't touch) should give some stronger indication of failure. Also the art, although I liked the minimalistic style, really makes it hard to tell what blocks can you touch and what can't, which is frustrating as it just one shots you and you go back to the beginning. Overall I enjoyed this entry, great job!
Very simple, yet still engaging and with very interesting mechanics/switches. It ended up being a mix between puzzle (almost time based, considering the 2 hits per gravity) and platformer, which is super cool! Good art as well, considering simplistic 1bit. Good entry!
Cool game, but hard as hell. A rhythmic puzzle platformer. Minimalistic design fits well.
I like the contrast and art style although the obstacles and interactbles like the switches were hard to differentiate at first. The difficulty gets pretty insane although it does have the one more try effect. I liked figuring out that there is indeed a pattern to the movement itself so cool use of the theme. If it was actually random then the game would be near impossible.
