Desert Flight by Tero Pulkkinen 2019-10-07T07:16:31Z
I kinda like the way the airplane moves. Also interested material choice for the airplane :D goodjob but it needs more polish to be enjoyable. Goodluck!

I kinda like the way the airplane moves. Also interested material choice for the airplane :D goodjob but it needs more polish to be enjoyable. Goodluck!
Felt good, but i couldnt figure out how to complete the level. Eitherway goodjob! The SFX of placing was satisfying :D
Good soundtrack and lovely graphics. The delay between the action was a little annoying since you want to perform your actions quickly but i can see its needed to balance the game. Goodjob!
A little slow and the time of opportunity to sneak past the guards could be tweaked. I liked the simple graphics and the lightning effect. Well done!
Goodjob for creating a multiplayer game for LD! The combat felt wierd but was fun.
Not sure how this games work. I couldnt place the turret and when i tried to click randomly some thunder came and stopped the game and i could not proceed.
shared (@shared) Oh, i see. But how do you continue the game after the thunder hits?
@holyblackcat @shared Yeah it worked now :D
I'm impressed! So much in so little time. There seem to be a bug near the boss lady, if she kills you it becomes unplayable. But everything else was really well made! Well done!
Wow, i'm like at the level 1 of howler irl. I really hate howling but if you going to survive in this industriy i think you need to have an audience. I create great games, but i dont have the audience. And i admit, i hate howling with my entire heart and hopefully i will figure out a better way to do well in this industriy. I'm impressed by the game, well done!
It was well executed, good graphics and OK sound. But a little annoying that everything disapeard when you brought new land and you had to start over. But i enjoyed it, goodjob!
Nice polish and fun gameplay loop. I could not see the crystals in the beginning of the game but they popped up after a while. Goodjob!
I like the idea but i could not figure how the language works. But i blame sleep deprivition and perhaps stupidity. Nice graphics, nice sound, specially the alien words. Goodjob and goodluck!
A game should be played, like have some interactivity :) But i liked the graphics and the sound was nice. Goodjob!
The graphics was well made and consistent and the sound and voice acting was good as well. But it was a bit confusing where you needed to go when the camera stopped and it looked like you could go south but you started over when you reached the end. Goodjob on the game!
Hooooow do you recieve the level3 sword? I really wanted to smack that boss. Goodjob on the game!
Fun little experience. Goodjob!
I had some problems defeating the soldiers but that's my bad skill. You should also make the sky brighter instead of pitch black to make it feel more like outdoors. Goodluck !
Lovely game, felt good and sounded good. I liked the clan mentality. Didnt understand how to upgrade my members but they did fine without armor :D Goodjob!
You took "Start with nothing" to the absolute extreme didnt you :D Goodjob.
How do i move the dot? Didnt understand the concept.
Goodjob on the game, fun to try out different combinations. But some of the combinations had my computer go through the roof :D
Ah, i used the 7 day creaton theme on my game as well! But yours clearly states what each day does while mine visually represents it. Goodjob!
Felt polished and nice pixel graphics. It had good atmosphere going on and i really got curious what that little creature was. Good job!
The link seems to be broken? I only get a blank page.
@appoxgames ah i see, thanks
Interesting concept! I think the first challange was great and could perhaps been extended more. Like juggle more balls or something like that :D Well done.
Some of the puzzles were clever, but more work is needed to make it fun. Goodluck
Very impressive little game! I really wanted to finnish it but no savepoints and frustrating deaths stopped me. Good introduction but you should have made it a little shorter because for a moment i thought that was the actual game. Nonetheless, great work!
Ah some sound would have added alot to this nice game. Cool concept, could have been a little creepy if the red objects moved in a maze like level but sometimes simplicity is better. Goodjob!
Interesting gameplay and good puzzles. Controls could be improved upon, was quite hard to control the spaceship but perhaps that was the idea :D i liked it, well done!
I love simulations like these because it's so hard to predict the outcome. I think it needs some kind of goal though so you know what you are aiming for. I just clicked randomly to see them interact with eachother. Nonetheless, it was a fun experience. Goodjob!
My buildings got destroyed by the white wall :( Was fun, good work!
Wow it was quite impressive. Love the concept! Perhaps a better tutorial for the printscript since you had to go back and forth and remember all the commands. I liked the conversations as well :D nice touch.
I got an exception that crashed the build when i was building the last building. But it was a fun game and i enjoyed it. Well done.
I liked the style! But how do i go past the number 6 and 8? Got stuck there.
A little hard to understand the overall gameplay but the mood and graphics was really well made. Goodjob!
Woho i completed it! The puzzles were fun, specially the last one had me going. Well done! Some feedback i can give is that the blocks movement and the players movement could be smoother. Btw before i forget, really good intro and tutorial!
Nice game, reminds me of game of life. Goodjob!
I enjoyed the game but there should have been some kind of borders so the player couldnt move outside the phone. Also the player movement should have been heavily nerfed. Goodwork!
Sozey (@sozey) go ahead! Let me know what you think afterwards! I used unity and the growing part is in the branch .cs and leaf.cs
SoupStoreGames (@soupstoregames) I'm glad you liked it!
TheVideoGamester (@thevideogamester) I wanteed to make it resource based but since i only had 48H i decided to go for the simple route. Thank you for your feedback!
@adrien-dittrick Hehe yes, since it was for the desktop i really took it to the next level. No time for optimizations. Hopefully it was not to dreadfull.
@wie Thank you for the good feedback i appreciate it! Yeah since i wanted it to make so the tree feels like it has it's own life can be annoying sometimes. But there is a trick where you can let it grow to eitherside and then let the branch fall off down to the sun. Like a mini puzzle but i see why most people miss it.
@raddir Hehe yeah but i'm really bad at creating music. Wanted to go for zen like music but decided to for the random beat i created in Bosco Ceoil instead.
@snufkinshat Yeah the water was tricky, because if it went straight down you couldnt water the branches from below. The leafs are the life indicator of the branches. They turn first yellow and then red to indicate the health of the branch. But yeah it's easily missed. Thank you for the feedback i appreciate it!
@starvingindie Thank you for the feedback! No i agree with the music that it is my weakest link generally in gamedev. First time using Bosca Ceoil and first time composing a music generally but hopefully i will try to improve on it. I'm glad you liked it!
@tommyflower wow thank you for the kind words! I'm really happy you liked the music! Music was by far the hardest part for me since i'm new to composing and i used Bosco Ceoil for the first time. I can strongly recommend it if you liked what i was able to make with it.
@chao Thank you for the kind words!
The movement was a little slippery and it would nice if it was autopickup. Except that really good execution! Loved the overall feeling you managed to create.
Had some trouble in the beginning but i got a hang of it. Lovely game and cool idea! I love the fact that the game slowly builds up and becomes better and better. It feets the theme of LD perfectly. Goodjob!
I finnished both the first and second level. Goodjob on your first jam.
Nice! The game feels quite polished in graphic, sound and gameplay. It was a little hard to understand what item was good and what was bad but except that it felt complete! Goodjob everyone on the team!
Impressive work! Didn't think there was a way to complete it but i found the branch and figured the rest out. I liked the puzzles and the atmosphere you managed to create. Really good work! Goodjob!
Web version not working mate :(
Edit: it worked now :) Really nice graphics! Not entirely sure how that time mechanic worked? I did the level a couple of times and back but never got any hourglasses.
Controls could have a little better aswell but was OK when you got a hang of it.
Good work!
You guys mate a great work here, really impressed. Everything felt smooth and well made and you got really into the atmosphere. The only feedback i have is that when you click on the rewind/forward buttons they should increment by 1 instead of keep incrementing until stopped. I guess they work like that in real life but still it was hard to manage.
Overall a really a great puzzle game that captured me, well done!
Cool concept and nice graphics!
Was suprised to see that there was more behind the first room. Was running around thinking looking for items in the first room like some escape room kind of thing. Good job!
Edit: btw the audio was awesome!
It felt solid, only feedback i have is to have somekind of indicator showing how much life you have left. Was surprised that i got game over from nowhere.
Good job!
You managed to add alot of content in so little time, good job!
Really impressed what you guys manage to achieve in a jam. Felt really well made! Only feedback i have is to be able to click to proceed the intros since it was a bit to long.
Great work!
Really like the idea and great pick for the theme. Also really cool app solution, in what did you build it in? Felt really smooth to add rails etc.
@fachscahfttf @tamail Thanks and yeah, a little tutorial would have been nice :)
@jetyh Thank you, glad you liked it!
@firellon Actually it depends, you need to be clever with what you do. I forgot to add HP/Armor indicators on the enemies but you want to have full armor vs the bosses and time your burst
Nice tutorial! The first room with the torches was a little hard to figure out but everything else was pretty smooth. Well done!
Hehe i got trolled hard by running all the way to the left :P Only feedback i have is that i was a little lost on what to do exactly.
Goodluck
It was fun after you figured out the mechanics. Was suprised that some weapons had recoil and i died from that a couple of times :) Good work!
Really well executed and you really get in the zone after a while. I was initially thinking that it really need somekind of score but i think this game is better suited to just relax and get that vibe going on.
Great work!
Took some time before i figured out how the mechanic work but other than that it was nice. Well done!
Really liked the concept! But would have been nice to have clear pathways because the lines sometimes showed and didn't always "work". Not sure when it was possible to move and when it was not. Good work!
Lovely graphics and overall presentation!
Really fun and cool gameplay! Interesting mechanics that managed to hook me in and also have potential for using in more serious type of games. Well done!
I loved this one, really unique and addicting, shame it was short. Thought the later levels would be impossible but they were quite manageable.
Great work!
First time I actually play a text based game. Didn't think I would enjoy it but it really enhanced the mood since you create the world in your head instead of letting it be defined by graphics. I enjoyed it, thank you.
Unstable indeed :) the destruction felt satisfying and a simple fun game. Well done!
I reached the place where your pet robot get hacked and then I got totally obliterate by him. Not sure how to come past that point. Thanks for posting i enjoyed playing it.
Extremely polished and a lot of content, it feels like a complete game! I also loved that there were secrets around the map, really gave me flash backs to legend of zelda.
Only constructive feedback i have is perhaps the speed of the game. Felt like everything was x2 faster than what is normally, but in some cases it was preferable.
Again, very impressed by this submission. Great work!
Only feedback I have is that he mouse sensitivity was quite high. The graphics had the handmade charm and i enjoyed some of the interactions. Congrats on making your first game in LD! :)
Reminds me of Binding of Isaac in some ways, was fun. Well done!
I like the minimalistic style and concept. Only feedback I have is to make the game a little faster by simplifying some aspects of it. Perhaps longer turret range, space activates all turrets, faster mobs and so on. But overall it was a nice experience, well done!
I figured out you could climb walls by just holding the move buttons a while into the game and it made it much easier. Loved the dramatic sound effects :) Was fun, well done!
I can relate to the main character after being so sleep deprived after this LD. It took some time for me to understand the double jump mechanic but I finally figured it out and things went smoother from there. I generally like logic games and thank you for adding that mute music button :)
Well done!
Interesting concept, but I never figured out how to save the fish? Is the idea to save them from the fishing boats or are they doomed?
Easy to understand and fun to play. Good job!
Was really hard until I figured you could climb the walls by spamming Z. I enjoyed it, well done!
Wonker indeed, was very difficult to control the vehicle but perhaps that was intended to make it more "Unstable". I liked how every part moved on the vehicle, it was a nice touch. Camera could have been improved as well to make it a smoother experience. Either way, it was a unique take on the theme, well done!
Very polished and cool game. Loved when the little critters popped up on the planets. Sometimes it took really long time for population increase and I'm not sure what that was based on but overall a fun experience. Well done!
Took me some time to get hold of the Q next to projectile mechanic, but when i got that in place the game got much more interesting. I enjoyed it, well done!
Tricky game that requires a lot of patience. Only feedback i have is that i feel some of the objects should have a little more weight to them to make them more "stable", but i guess that would go against the theme :) Well done!
Fun concept. The challenge was to remember where each ingredient was placed and then it became easier until it the cauldron exploded :)
I felt that sometimes the pigs didn't recover their stress even tough I moved them around. It was a fun and hectic experience, well done!
Wow, i'm so impressed by the amount of details there is in this simple but addictive game. Everything from the main character switching hands based on where the cursor is to the audio playing sound depending on the situation. Really impressed with this entry, great work!
It was confusing in the beginning understanding what to do but once you figure it out it is really enjoyable. I loved the game over outros as well, a very nice touch :)
Well done!
Felt pretty polished and once you understood what was going on it became fun as well. I really liked the take on the unstable part, it was fun. Well done!
I loved the dialogs and I find it interesting that the game got easier and easier instead of harder and harder. There were long moments without any scraps, but then the dialogs popped up and saved it from getting stale. Overall really good work, I enjoyed it!
A bit confused, some levels i just completed without input, other levels I failed even tough I really tried. You took the word unstable to new heights. Did the levels change btw? They looked pretty similar. Overall it needs some polishing but the concept has potential.
Satisfying menu and an original concept. It was also very challenging, my aim was not the best :) Good job!
@draperdanman You actually press SPACE for Dash :) Thank you for the nice feedback!
@rogual I really appreciate it, thank you!
@remco That is a really good idea, some indicator before they spawn in. I might do that in a post update.
@evokesoul Thank you! Some of the bombs that gets dropped from the blocks are robot mines and they actually chase you with their small moving legs! :)
Lol nice, this was great. Got 780 points :) Well done!
I like the idea, but the randomness of the environment made it sometimes impossible to progress. But when you got into the flow, it felt nice. Well done!
Very interesting game! Great visuals and the music increased the general vibe of the game. I enjoyed the combat system and the game had a lot of content from the get go. Only feedback I can is to have all interactive clickable graphics to have some kind of feedback after click. Was a bit unsure of what was clickable and not.
Well done!
Seems like the game is missing from itch.io?
I still get that 404 game not found on itch.io, perhaps the link is broken?
Now it worked :) Played it and it feels impossible to beat? All my cards get instagibbed by the first red card :) I like these type of games where you are required to think to beat, but i'm quite sleep deprived so my brain is not working that well. Either way, well done!
Haha, interesting game! Not sure if my hits registered tough but i felt i hit the monster a couple of times. Also when it "crashes", it actually crashed my browser, had to reopen it :) A very unique idea, I liked it!
All that for 10$?! Also, Kevin flipped our when I gave him his rocket? Or did he perhaps play with it? Either way, it would have been great hearing little Kevin flip out as well. It was a fun take on the theme, well done!
This was great, loved the simplistic art style and the general feel of the game. Only feedback I have is that you lose track where in the world you are with the constant dimension switching, but keep in mind that my general sense of location is poor IRL so that might be the case. Really enjoyed this one, well done!
Cool concept, but I had problems brewing. Tried all keys (Including P, Q) but didn't work. What is the key for brewing?
(Spoiler)Damn, that was a cruel ending. Here I have been working my ass off to keep the planet as pristine as possible just to watch it blow up.
Great little cutscenes and the music really added to the general chill vibe the game gave. Really good job, i enjoyed it!
Fun little platformer with some thinking required, a bit short but I enjoyed it. The controls could use some improvement since it felt rigid at times. The level design was clever, well done!
I got stuck in the beginning longer than I want to admin, since it says click "E" to interact it was trying to interact with the wall and used the remote etc. There was some unique mechanics like the remote to make it interesting. Well done!
Would like to know the story behind the rat, robot it needs to follow and the frog that tries to destroy them, seems like it would be very interesting. Only feedback I have is perhaps the controls, but I also enjoyed the simplicity of being playable with only the mouse so not sure about it. Either way, well done!
Hard and requires some patience, I liked it. The graphics were charming aswell, well done!
Solid platformer that gets very hard very quick, specially level 2. Everything felt solid with good graphics. Well done!
I was wondering why it was named "Hello darkness my old friend" when everything was so bright until the darkness actually came and made everything more interesting. I enjoyed it, the levels were well designed and the controls were good.
Good work!
Not sure if it was intended, but the bullets move with your character. Which reminds me of that bullet bender movie. I enjoyed it, well done.
Really smooth controls, enjoyed the movements a lot. The music gave good vibes and I was surprised how many levels there were. I think i completed at least 7 and then it got to hard. I enjoyed this game, only feedback is perhaps having more variety on the levels. Well done!
Multi task games usually stress me out but this was nice. The 3 minigames differed from each other enough to keep it interesting. I was missing some scoring tough to see how I progressed.
Lol, I thought you had to use the foes to reach new heights in the beginning, I actually reached 6 doing that! Looked pretty cool as well, you time foe explosions with your jump. The building mechanic was very interesting as well, I really liked this one. Well done!
A lovely intense game where things get out of control pretty quickly. Was a little hard to understand what connections you could do in the beginning but once you got a hang of it things become easier. Charming graphics aswell. Well done!
Man I'm weak for games like this. Really enjoyed this one. Well done!
The big asteroid seems to be fake news, i couldnt destroy it when i flew all the way over to it. Was fun, well done!
Loved the controls, felt really smooth. I enjoyed it, felt like perhaps some gameplay elements were missing like upgrades but it was fun nonetheless. Great work!
This was amazing! You really felt like a captain giving out orders. The game felt really polished and I enjoyed playing this one.
Well done!
Lol nice one, felt easy at first but really it really increased in the difficulty. You managed to create a lot of different faces as well which was nice. Good job!
@papaya Yeah, i should have picked another color for dying branches since red is usually related to fire. The tree logic really took most of my time so had little time to test. Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.
@labete Yes i noticed, unfortunately that was the last thing I implemented before publishing the game with no time to test. I will fix that and so many other things in a post jam update. Not sure if I can fix it now since the time is over.
I really liked the way the combat mechanics was implemented and i think there is a lot of gameplay potential in it. Well done!
I enjoyed this one and it was a brilliant move to upgrade your character based on time left. Only feedback i have is that the zombie type monster had way to much HP for spawning so early.
Well done!
Wow, this brings memories. Well executed and felt polished, well done!
Lol that is one catchy song! :D The game felt polished and well made but perhaps some extra obstacles would have made the chase more interesting. Either way, a solid game! Well done!
Haha, great take on the theme. You managed to create a lot of levels and i liked there was actually a strategic timing on when to mess up moms room on certain levels. It was fun, well done!
You just had this feeling through the play session that there will be a moment of frustration slowly but surely building up, and it sure delivered.
Was fun, i enjoyed it. Well done!
Only feedback i have is that it would have felt great if you could have used your keyboard for movement instead of mixing mouse and keyboard. Except that it was a great experience and felt polished. Well done!
The graphics were nice, specially on the water. Only feedback i have is that it would have been nice to auto pickup instead of pressing P.
Well done!
A tower take on the theme, I liked it. Well done!
Very enjoyable, 923m :) Reminded me of street fighter, or was it final fight? where you smashed the car. Really enjoyed it, well done!
Not sure if this game is extremely hard or you made some last minute changes that made it unplayable? I lose after like 1 second on both modes.
Interesting concept and great take on the theme. I enjoyed it, well done!
The graphics are good and felt polished. Not sure if anything really happened after I casted my spells on the inhabitants? They were within the blue circle radius.
Good take on the theme as well, well done!
Someone didn't get any sleep :P So much content with so little time, impressive work! Usually games like these takes a lot of time and balancing them adds another timesink. Good job!
The controls were on point. You can really tell it has been made by a programmer since the gameplay and mechanics are very well made.
Nice level selector and I like the idea! Reminds me of a old bike game i used to play back in the days. Best of luck!
Now that's a brave take to create several minigames in compo, well done! Didn't figure out what to do with the money however. Either way, I enjoyed it. Well done!
@maymay Thank you! Yeah the movement is really sluggish and slow in the webbuild for some reason. Not sure what caused it.
@kenneth-dd @phlip45 @resevoir @jonqs The octopus for some reason feels really laggy and quite uncontrollable in the webversion, I have no idea why. And I actually have walls on the corners but again, they seem to work sometimes. Big lesson I learned is to test out the web version in the browser instead of the game engine next time.
Thank you for the feedback!
This becomes hectic really fast, I really like the strategy you need to have between adding crops and harvesting. Interesting take on the theme.
Best of luck!
Man, I tried my best only to be ashamed at the destruction I caused. People barely have the time to create one game and here you come with 3 :) Also I really enjoyed the axe effect for chopping down the trees, you can tell you have some nice easing to give that weight. Overall, this was a great take on the theme. Great job!
Hah, I actually got creeped out first time I played and I was driving around the cornfield and it suddenly got dark and suddenly you start hearing chicken sounds. Cool take on the theme, well done!
This was a very interesting experience. The sound was on point and fitted very nicely with the overall graphic. Enjoyed this one, well done!
Pretty cool idea that fits the theme very well. I only feedback I have is to have the crop effect in game but after a couple of tries its quite easy to remember, green heals the rest damages the crop. Good job!
Wow, impressive graphics! I enjoyed it. Only feedback i have is that it would have been nice if the selected unit was kept being selected after giving it a move command.
Good job!
Not sure if i completed the game in the correct order but either way it was a interesting concept. Well done!
Hmm, how do you play? Cant figure it out.
Interesting contrast between the isometric RPG style and a card game. Must have taken a lot of time to implement. Only feedback i have is perhaps that movement could be a little faster. Well done, i enjoyed it!
Not sure exactly how to play it, i tried to balance all the things i took but i still lost. Looks interesting either way, best of luck!
You masochist! :) fall damage and ladders, the suffering. Well done and best of luck!
Lol, i enjoyed this one. Interesting take on the theme. I was so close to the end but i died of starvation :) Well done!
I can save a fortune by just playing this game instead of the real deal :) It was satisfying, specially when you got the rare ones. Well done!
Good idea to make the gold move around since it forces you to try to put it back and really feel for the gold. Good entry!
Charming, i always enjoy minigames inside minigames :) Only feedback i have is that it looked like nothing really happened when you failed the mushrom minigame.
Good entry!
Got a hang of it after a couple of tries. Not sure if there is a lose condition since those things did hit me. Either way, interesting idea and well done. Goodluck
Nice idea and execution, reminds me a little of those find five 5 different changes games. I liked it, well done!
@tesseract That is a impressive score! My highest is 758.
I wanted it to be more strategic but due lack of time i had to cut short some important mechanics and just rush in a timer mechanic to make it challenging. I'll most likely update the game with a version that is closer to what i wanted after the jam is over.
This looks really interesting. However, i might be to dumb since the second level the entire square is red so I'm not really sure what to match. Cant imagine the programming it took to make this, well done!
@tesseract Ah i missed the fourth triangle. Yes i solved it now, thank you for letting me know.
Great graphics and smooth gameplay! Not sure if there is a lose condition since those things did hit me. Either way, interesting idea and goodluck!
Reminded me of Pacman. Only feedback i have is to perhaps have less coins to collect on the first level since you get a hang of it quickly. Best of luck!
Cool idea, i enjoyed it. Only feedback is perhaps having a smaller collider on the character since i kept getting blocked by different objects.
Well done!
Link not working :(
The game felt really solid and i enjoyed the SFX and general vibe. I collected around 56 trash before the time was up. Only thing that felt a little off was after the time was up the interface (retry button etc) was very big and covered most of the screen.
Either way, i enjoyed this one. Well done!
Impressed by this one! Felt very polished and well made. Only feedback i have is perhaps a little faster movement since you had to find all the things you wanted to photograph but not really a issue.
Really good job, well done!
Wow this is really well done, i enjoyed it. Only feedback i have is that the little buggers should stay in the circle. Watching them run away after bringing them there made me twitch :)
Well done on this one! I see some potential in it.
I like the sounds they make when you do a combo. I enjoyed this one, well done!
Wow what a satisfying step sounds, really well made! The graphics and general feel of the game felt good as well. Really good entry, best of luck!
Felt polished and had nice visuals. Well done!
Interesting take on the theme! Is the nodes randomly generated? Don't really have good feedback, it was a solid entry. Well done!
Wow, impressive! Very polished and enough content wise. Cheers fellow hex enjoyer!
Was hard to aim since the mouse did not move properly. But interesting idea and good job on your first project!
