Thats one way to interpret the theme :)
There's a certain balancing act between control, luck, and frustration. I felt that it was hard to move my cookie without touching the walls, and without a yellow circle spawning above me and pushing me. I was able to make it to the third screen on one occasion. But most often, a yellow circle blind-sided me and threw me off track. When I did make it to the third screen, I misjudged my speed and hit the wall because I did not stop myself in time. All this to say - I wish I had a bit more control in this game to make it through. The concept was cute. Thank you for the game.
To be honest, didn't really like it that much, I was getting killed for no reason and the cookie feels wayy too slow
Funny idea, the music is catchy, I wish there was some scoring system so I knew what my 'best' was, I guess it's number of screens? Anyway very cool for the theme!
Too hard for me  Need check point.
I love coockie so it's a great game
The one time I did get passed the entrance on the second screen, I had some fun dodging stuff. I think there should be a check on the digestive travelers to make sure they aren't super close to your cookie when spawning to prevent that bit of frustration.
Thank you for taking the time to play and post feedback on Pooh-Pooh. This is my first ever game jam – overall a good way to kick-start learning Scratch.
Your comments help me decide where to go next with this idea.
Nice game. It is really hard XD I really like the music. The restart button or checkpoints would be a nice addition, :) Good job with the game!
And congratulation on your first game in Ludum Dare!
Liked the idea. It's pretty fun.
Really hard though could hardly get past the second screen since travelers kept spawning right on top of me & I had no time to dodge. The game could use some checkpoints or a quick retry button.
appart from that it's a pretty fun game. good job :)
@ubershmekel @szym @zimny11 @phlip45 @fifut Thanks for playing. Hmmm, sounds like the gameplay is difficult. I'm not good at actually playing games (need ASSIST mode turned ON when playing Celeste to make progress). I made an assumption: what is difficult for me, should be easy for others. That was probably wrong with the limited play testing I did before submission.
@andy-beers Thanks for playing. There are only 3 screens: food pipe, stomach, and intestine.
When player reaches the bottom of the intestine, the game finishes and shows 'Delay in seconds'
I really thought about whether touching the walls of the digestive system would result in an instant kill or a bounce off it. Assimilating into the body is the desired outcome for all particles that are ingested, and that option was adopted.
I dont think ive ever seen a LD game made in Scratch - so well done. Game is quite hard as the other comments have mentioned, but I like the interpretation of the theme.
Please remember to press ❤️ on useful comments so the author gets karma.
Stage 3 is unplayable. I died two times in a row immediately because a circle spawned right on top of me and I never had a chance to move to the left (this is not skill issue). It would have been a nice touch if there was some continuity between stages; atm if you exit stage 1 on the left hand side, you spawn in stage 2 on the right hand side of the corridor. Checkpoints would have been nice. It's interesting to see a Scratch game because I've never seen one before.
@alaah Thank you for playing and providing feedback. Yes, the difficulty and NPC spawn logic needs fixing.
Regarding level design, there is potential to build this up to more than 3 levels. Many animals have multiple stomachs (cows have 4) and far more interesting digestive systems than humans.
I agree that the transition between levels should be seamless. I'm still learning how to use Scratch to make vertical scrolling work properly.
Great game concept that made me laugh a lot. I find the controls difficult but otherwise great. I love the sound and the rhythm!
@milq thanks for playing the game. Yes, the controls are not tight enough. As in real-life so too in games, 'loose motion' leads to a frustrating experience.
It's a really nice looking silly game. I wish it was a bit easier because I couldn't even make it past the second level. The music is ridiculous but kind of right for that kind of game!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
@caudatecoder thanks for playing Pooh-Pooh and the feedback. Yes, It's frustratingly difficult. Pooping should be easy!
This was fun and somehow the very simple music was catchy?! The mechanics worked well but I couldn't get past the second screen. Still, it was pretty well done.
Interesting game, I loved the music. Regarding difficulty, the second level was hard but feasible, but the third one was particularly frustrating because the circles would spawn right on top of me, giving almost no time for reaction.
Kudos for the very exquisite (and creative) interpretation of the theme
@captainexpo thanks for playing the game and providing feedback; I’ll continue to work on it to add more levels and also a difficulty setting along with more dynamic background graphics. The sound was the easiest, just using the audio record feature in Scratch and freestyling some beats with my voice :-)
Cool concept, but the slow gameplay makes it a bit hard/frustrating to play. Otherwise I liked the music, it really fits the mood
@conradoclark @meta-link Thanks for taking the time to play the game. I'll definitely incorporate your feedback when working on the next iteration of the game.
That was hard and...fun, yes, I admit it haha the music is on point!
Nice to see a scratch game! It's just way too hard for me :D
@m2tias thanks for playing the game; yes, scratch is fun, I'm learning a bunch and now I know how to control NPC spawn logic and add checkpoints to make it easier in the next game :-)
@wild-and-away thanks for playing the game and happy that the music fit the visual aesthetic
