Rival Sniper by Hjalte 2021-10-04T15:19:52Z
A solid game!
I love the aesthetics. The "confirm" kill between levels is pretty clever! It was quite easy to complete and it doesn't exactly fits the theme but still a great job!

Very nice and relaxing game!
I love the visuals and music! It's pretty hard to get a high score, but I guess that was meant to be so :)
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 14:58
Hey, this is a fun game! It's like a GTA 2 mission.
I've managed to complete it after a few tries, good work on difficulty as well!
Great job
I really enjoyed the art-style and the music! I was a bit too lazy to try to find a proper building strategy so completed only a couple of levels before it became too hard for me. But I guess it's really a personal preference and you can't make a game that's enjoyable to everyone.
It's still a really cool idea and nice mechanic. I just wish there was more dynamic to it. Maybe add some action between building parts. I'm talking off course about a post-jam version, that's still a really great job for a compo game.
I recorded my playthrough of your game. I'm not sure if it will be very helpful cause as I've already said I was a bit too lazy to try and find a proper strategy . But maybe you would still find it helpful so here's the link: https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY Your game starts at 32:20
Beautiful game! I love the art and animation. Music is also pretty good. It's also pretty fun to play!
It could use some more explanation of game-mechanics but the game is small enough to figure them out as you go.
Great job!
This game really clicked with me (pun intended)
I love it! Pretty clever to take 2 ideas and make it into a single game. It looks good, it's fun to play, minigames are pretty good. It's pretty fun that you can fend off minigames :)
Sometimes it felt a little unfair when you spawn right next enemies. Though sometimes you can get spawned right next to the exit. This might need some tweaking. I also once got spawned in-between cubes and couldn't move. And at level 14 game started freaking out and FPS dropped. But these were minor inconveniences.
Great job!
I enjoyed it! I love the simple art-style and the music.
It was a little easy at first but 2 final levels were just right! Great job!
I absolutely love this concept! It's so cool and well executed. Good job on prioritizing making it fun to play over visual part of the game. I absolutely enjoyed it! Even though 2 out of 3 characters died in the end...
This really have potential of becoming a small game (or a funny part of a big one)!
I recorded my playthrough of your game. If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game -- check it out: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw Your game starts at 16:16
I love the minimalistic design of the game, look clean! The puzzle design is really good too. It gets hard pretty fast though, smoothing the difficulty curve could help IMHO.
A solid game, good job!
Nice game!
Smart idea and fun implementation. Maybe consider making money easier but adding a real-time element.. like execution commands on timer? Or make it a second game-regime? Just throwing some ideas here
Good job
What a great silly game! I absolutely love the humor of it! Sound effects cracked me up too!
It took me a while to understand how to attack. It also was waay too difficult for me to finish. I still had plenty of fun with it! Great job!

This game looks amazing! The shooting part is really tight and enjoyable too!
I wish there was some sick soundtrack to back it up. But hey you can add it post-jam!

That's a fun game!
Great work on difficulty progression! It's really well balanced -- as your skill and understanding grows so does the complexity of the game.
Visuals and sounds are really good too! Good work on UI as well it's simple and clear, easy to understand.
Keep up the good work!
Fun and pretty hard platformer! The voice acting cracked me up  I wish the difficulty curve was a bit smoother
What a great experience! It's a surprisingly polished game with every aspect given enough attention. Love it!
Maybe the monster was a bit easy to scare off, but it still made the game feel really unsettling, so it does it's job very well.

Great audio and visuals! Pretty fun to play, nice idea! I've already seen a game in this jam where you build a city defending it against earthquakes and we play as the bad guy. Doesn't last long as there's not much pregression... but hey you can add it after jam. Good job!
That's a really clever idea! It's funny that you can't see the Yeti but you see only footprints
It also looks and sounds very good, nice job on that!
Unfortunately, I didn't read the "Press triggers slowly to avoid cracking the ice!" part at first. So I've spent like 10 minutes trying to play this game without any progress  I took a break and decided to give it one more try before giving you feedback... and figured it out  It still needs to be included in the game, where controls are displayed. Without this knowledge the game is unplayable. I hope this doesn't sound too harsh -- I'm just trying to give you my first impression. I actually made a similar mistake in my game and many people found it confusing and unclear. But that's how we learn!
Anyways, once it clicked it was really enjoyable! Really great idea to make a hunter following you so you try to go as fast as possible which contradicts the necessity of making your steps carefully on the thin ice (TM).
Great job!
Really fun little game! I love the setting and the idea of it!
Graphics and soundtrack are pretty cool too. Menus and tutorials gave me a good laugh, great job on this too!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. I hope it will still be helpful to see how first-time player interacts with your game  https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 1:05:17
A really enjoyable game!
Nice graphics and mechanics. Puzzles are pretty simple, but that's ok
My only problem was the soundtrack to the point that I just turned it off and it was better without it.
But that's me nitpicking, good job!
This is a very fun little game! Absolutely enjoyed it! I wish I was British enough to understand every little bit of humor, but I still had a good laugh at it!
Nice work on difficulty progression too. It took me a few tries but I manged to beat it!
I recorded my playthrough of your game. If you'd like to see here's a recording of it: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw Your game starts at 1:30:45
I like the visuals and the unstable-ness of this game!
The radio-mini game was a bit unforgiving for my liking. I still enjoyed playing the game!

@ddolgov привет :)
да, у меня моник 144гц, скорее всего это оно
Wow, that's a surprisingly polished game for the compo!
I love the music, the art, the upgrade system! Damn it's clever and unexpected too see a well thought trough upgrade system in a jam game. Fits the theme very well.
I really enjoyed it. Given enough it could be a great bullet-hell rogue-like or smth...
Love it, amazing job!
Really solid game! I love the graphics and visual effects. Good job on making different enemies and their behaviors too!
I also like that you made some story for the setting!
I did not understand immediately that I had to go to the right side so I'd make it on time. Maybe it could be communicated a little clearer. Still a very great job overall!
I recorded my playthrough of your game. If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game -- check it out: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw Your game starts at 57:21
Really cool and polished game! Looks absolutely fantastic ! Pushing of the wall is really clever and fun.
My only suggestion would be to add a little more dynamic to gameplay. Maybe introduce the no-gravity part a bit later.
Thanks you for submitting it to my stream, here's a recording in case you want to re-watch or refer to it somewhere: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw
Nice graphics and sound effects!
Pretty fun to play too! It took a while for me to realize that there are not only objects but also upgrades/downgrades fall from the machine, so you have to watch out for them.
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 21:06
Such a lovely game!
Really cool idea and very good execution. It's so polished from all sides: graphics, level-design, soundtrack!
I didn't manage to finish it but I'll give it another try later. I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. I hope it will still be helpful  https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 31:22
Enjoyable little game! Looks very good!
Jetpack is pretty fun to use. I wish there were more levels and they were just a bit harder or _unstable_.
Great job!
Wow, that was an experience!
I really enjoyed it. Reading credits after all this pretty fun and relaxing too, nice touch!
It was too hard to react to ghost if you go straight in their direction, so I had memorize their location. There could be more warning there.. maybe you could here them a little earlier than you see the red light. Dunno. The game is short enough for this to not be a big issue.
Amazing job!
That was.. unstable at it's best. This perfectly fits the theme  I love the art, the visual effects and music. The gameplay is not much fun... but who needs it when you can just settle back and relax with these beautiful visuals :)
Greta idea, great implementation, well done! Also once you understand what to do the difficulty gets higher pretty smoothly introducing more and more chaos to the system. Love it. It's very hard to get this in such a short time, great job!
A very funny and beautiful game! Great work on the art and music! The meta-ness of it is pretty funny too. I'm not sure why you opted out of the *Humor* category it would be a 5 from me
Gameplay-wise I wish there was some more dynamic to it. Maybe at some point you could control or adjusts the trajectory of the saber for a moment. Bullets that went invisible and then visible after reflection felt a bit unfair and hard to predict.
It's still a very solid and polished game, I had a lot of fun with it! Nicely done!
Thanks @euler-moises for submitting it to my stream. Here's a recording in case you want to rewatch/refer to it later https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY Your game starts at 1:06:36
Nice looking little game!
To me the realization that the best strategy is to just stay put as long as you can was kind of disappointing. Also the wobbling effect makes it hard to look at the screen quite fast.
I'd also recommend you splitting builds into multiple downloads, so you don't have to download 500MB.
That said it still has it's fun and charm, good job!
Wow, just wow. I truly enjoyed the experience. The graphics, the animation, the little story bit, the overall aesthetics. Turrets really surprised me, didn't expect them to throw me, damn.
Add some more story, a good soundtrack and more levels and it's full fledged game! Great work!
Great job! I don't have much to say it's a full-fledged NES game with some nice art and sounds. Was totally worth messing with an emulator. Love it!
That is a great game. I mean it's got everything: it looks good, has some nice animation, a tutorial (!), nicely balanced gameplay, it fits the theme... it's great. I mean... I've spent the last hour playing it. Not every game I paid money for survived that long
The soundtrack could use some help, but c'mon it's still a very solid game
Love it  Here's my monstrosity of a city I built EarthquakeCityBuilder.png
Wow, great game! Love the theme and presentation, looks really cool. Dialog is real good, love it.
Personally I wish there were a little less asteroids in the beginning to get the grasp of controls. Also some explanation on how to repair the ship. But those are really minor inconveniences for a good game made in 2 days!
A really clever take on the theme! I like how not only the energy level is unstable but the os as well. I had a good chuckle first time it got disconnected
Nice work on the artwork as well. Great job!
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 1:11:25
Same here, can't run the executable. Ping me when you update it :)
Works now!
Pretty fun game! It's clever that most energy flies around the machine so you have to actually move and jump around to get some. Music is pretty good too, I wish there were some sound effects
Good job!
The reaper looks great and really fun to control! Visuals and sounds set the mood pretty good.
I wish there were more things to do. Good job anyway!
---
Oh, and also I think you should fix your build. There's a folder named "Unstable LD49_Data" but it should match the name of the executable. It throws error until you match the names
I love it! It's predictable enough to be fair but chaotic enough to be fun and unexpected. Really good take on the theme as well.
It also looks and sounds very nice. A very fun and polished game overall! Great job!
Really cool idea and pretty good execution! I love the art-style and sound-effects. It was a little too hard for me to finish. I still had plenty of fun with it!

What a great game, I absolutely enjoyed it!
Good puzzle design, clever voice-acting, beautiful graphics, some nice sound effects and really great world building!
You submitted your game during my first stream (when I didn't check the chat ) so I played it and recorded it during the second stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. ~~Same as SparkyDoc07 :(~~
~~My antivirus says there's Win32/Wacatac.b!ml and Win32/Wacapew.C!ml, doesn't allow it to run and then removes completely~~
~~Any ideas how to fix it?~~
Ok, after a long fight with the anti-virus and multiple attempts to restore the .exe it worked
I like it! Great level design with some smart puzzles! The idea of having "glue" is pretty clever too. It's a very solid game, I only had problem in the beginning when I didn't realize that you can step on glued tile more than one time.
Good job!
Nice job!
I don't know if that's my way of enjoying or it was meant to be so but at some point I just started spawning modules non-stop and crashing them. A lot of fun :)
Great idea, great execution! Not so much 3d games in compo that polished!
It took me a while to understand how to play it though. I think it's kind of misleading that you can complete first few levels without actually punching tables mid-air which is the point of the game. Maybe I missed something.
Anyways later I really enjoyed it: it looks good, has some nice sound effects and good difficulty progression. Nicely done!
Great idea, great implementation! Some really cool art as well! I wish there were more levels and some sound and visual effects for the explosion. You can do it in the after-jam version if you want to make one!
The last level was a bit tricky. I believe there are some wires that don't connect but go one above the other. If that's the case it would be great to have some sort of visual identification of such a place. Or maybe I missed something. I've managed to win the game but mostly because I've got lucky. I still had quite some fun with it! Nice job!
If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game I've made a recording of my playthrough: https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY Your game starts at 59:13
Beautiful game! I love the simple aesthetics and atmospheric soundtrack!
Great story as well... I mean it's a whole game
The questions section wasn't much of a fun to me. Especially not being american and not knowing states/football teams. It also took me some time to realize that I need to press the chapter name to continue. The game bugged a couple of times at this moment and I had to re-start it 2 times.
But that still was a great experience! Amazing job!
Great job making this game! It's impressively complex! I wish I could appreciate it more but I got overwhelmed with information. I guess it's just not my kind of genre so it's totally not your fault.
It still had some fun and surprising moments! I just now saw that you generated those portraits using AI, that's really clever and nicely done! I totally though they were real-life portraits!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. I don't know if it will be helpful because this is clearly not my genre. But maybe you'd still like to see how first-time player interacts with your game  https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 1:38:04
I really enjoyed the idea and looks of the game. I wish I could enjoy more of it but the crane kept on getting stuck midair and refusing to grab anything afterwards. Flipping the ship was fun though!
Good work anyways! I hope to play the fixed version :)
I like the mood of the game, the sounds, the concept. I wish I could enjoy more of it, but the "lost in the dark" moment happens waay too soon
Great job anyways
Very nice little game! It's quite small but really well done. I love the graphics and music!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. @coderaurus thank you for making this game! yeah absolutely :)
Cute little hardcore game, haha! Thanks you for submitting it to my stream! Here's a link in case you want to rewatch/refer to it later: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw
I'm gonna wright down some of the feedback I gave you during my play: - Really great music and setting! - Nice idea and take on the theme! - Difficulty curve could be a bit smoother in my opinion. Maybe teach a player how to climb first without additional difficulty of having obstacles (saws). - Try to unify visual style of the game, currently it's quite a mix: low-res pixel art boat, a bit higher-res pixel-art background, high-res water
Man, that's a game well done! Absolutely enjoyed it!
Great sound track and sound effects. Visuals are very nice too! Just very satisfying to listen and look at it no matter what happens in the game
Pretty nice difficulty progression too! I like how you included your high-score. First three levels I thought you just match player's highscore with yours so the player doesn't feel bad
Nicely done!
I like the graphics and the main mechanic of the game!
It was a bit confusing before I realized that this game is turn-based
As already mentioned above it's a bit frustrating that your enemies can move and shoot at the same turn, while you cannot.
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 1:20
Great game! Some really smart ideas that fit the theme put in a really well thought-through setting!
Really like graphics and animations too! It's really fun for the most part but when you play it for long enough it gets a little boring. It's really just a potential for it to become a full fledged game with varied enemies or something else. Great job!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. That is certainly an unexpected way to read "unstable".
I love the humor of the game! The gameplay.. not so much. Colliders for obstacles were way of.. Still a really funny game
Wow, congrats on finishing the game with such a small amount of GMS2 experience! It's surprisingly polished!
I mean, I haven't encountered any bugs... apart from those that shoot 1s and 0s at you  It gets quite hard pretty fast. Maybe make so enemy's projectiles can't go through walls. I still managed to beat it though, so the difficulty is not too hard. I wish there were more levels!
The setting and mood are real nice too. It also looks and sounds cohesive. I mean, there are some cool tunes and sound effects. Many compo games don't have any. It's impressive!
It could be great if you could jump with a down arrow when you are in an anti-gravity field. Or just use spacebar.
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of random compo games. Yours was on the list… but… uhm I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. Unfortunately in the recording your game the character is not on the screen quite a lot, and it's confusing  I've tried to include all my impressions and opinions on your game in the feedback above
Really cool arcade game!
It took me a while to understand hot to play it, but then it got pretty good. It's a really cool idea to make the thing that keeps you alive (fuel) also make you unstable. Fits the theme pretty well too -- it's really hard to manage unstable speed and fuel and incoming debris at the same time. Though sometimes it feels overwhelming.
Pretty clever to combine speed boost with "attack"! It also looks very nice and polished. Soundtrack is pretty cool too. It's a nice touch that it changes with the speed of the ship! Good job all-around!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of random compo games. Yours was on the list... but... uhm I was using new software and didn't check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what's going on. Unfortunately in your game I recorded only incoming debris  I hope the detailed feedback above makes up for that
Cool idea, good implementation! The game is pretty fun to play. It's surprisingly funny to die from your own hands when you look ahead too much
Though sometimes it felt impossible and unfair. Getting a perfect balance is really hard (_especially when things are unstable_)
Pretty cool concept and implementation!
It looks very simple but it's surprisingly good at making the player feeling insecure and paranoid. Really good take on the theme!
I recorded my playthrough of your game. If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game -- check it out: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw
Nice game! Simple idea - well executed. I like the smart scoring system that stops giving you score if you just build a straight road. Fun sound effects too!
I ran into a bug, where you can build a square field and basically make yourself unable to place blocks any further (if the last block fell into the center of the square). But maybe it should be like this -- you built a dead-end -- you've got a dead-end
Nice job!
That's a very moody and enjoyable little game! I love the art-style!
I wish there was more of it, like more levels with some interesting twists on pills side-effects. Still pretty fun!
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 26:58
Wow, great to see a game with a message, especially a compo entry, nicely done!
Great art and music! Maybe the gameplay difficulty could increase a little slower, but it still fits the theme and the idea of the game very well. Great job!
П.С. тикток про создание игры -- огонь
Thanks for the feedback everybody! As bugfixes are allowed I turned down the background music volume.
I also suspect that some of you thought that they can't hear the sound behind the background music, while robot's microphone was out of power. Now I see that this was not communicated clearly enough and UI is kinda bad. That's a lesson I learned this jam  Thanks!
@justcallmebb yeah, I knew this was frustrating at times. I should've dedicated more time to level-design but making all those systems to work (especially the connectors with sound warnings) took a lot of time.
I've got some ideas on how to improve it, maybe I'll make it better after jam. Thank you for playing and giving thorough feedback!
@pkzinpo thank you for detailed feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it and made it to the end!
@skleembof > When your microphone gets disabled, passing the electric floors becomes a guessing game
That was kind of the point of having them. They get too dangerous without microphone so you must avoid them. This should've been communicated clearer  And levels should have ways around them when the mic is off
> your vision is another system that can fail which limits your viewing distance
That's a great idea, I thought about it as well. I just decided that it will be too hard to make right in 2 days.
Thank you for detailed feedback!
@jefvel thanks for your feedback! Yeah, I totally see that UI needs huge improvement. I'll try to fix it up after review :)
@drunkardwolf thanks, glad you enjoyed it! > visual/sfx before they turn on to give me an indication
They actually do have a sound effect warning. Maybe you couldn't hear it because of stereo sound like Skleembof did? Or maybe you missed the part that the robot's microphone turned off and you couldn't hear the warning? It was communicated through the bad UI I talked above  I totally should improve it
@montazhnikus haha, thanks for your input  That was intentional, but I'll consider that. Maybe not exactly "jumps" as it won't fit the character IMO, but maybe some sort of jump-jet or jet-pack :)
@apples-mmmmmmmm thank you for very detailed feedback! great suggestions I'll keep them in mind
@vphyre haha, that's a good one  Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, this game totally needs the explanation of what microphone's purpose is
@coderaurus thank you for playing and giving me feedback!
> Without the sound it just feels RNG in a bad way
That was the point of them but I failed to communicate it through both UI and level-design. You must avoid them and take a different path when your microphone fails. Same as you would try to find a path without charger tool when it's out of power. But then again you really should not be learning this from comments
@lcstark thanks a lot for such detailed feedback!
Yeah I know this wasn't much fun. I actually already reworked (but not published yet) that part — now systems don't turn off on timer, instead you can go to one of the "rebalance" stations. This way you are actually engaged and not just wait even when the path ahead is blocked. Now I want to add a few more levels to the game so a player could get used to the sound of electric floors and microphone system before adding stress of the timer running out. I hope to finish this update this week!
Anyways thanks again for playing and leaving feedback!
Great game! I love how it looks and sounds, great job on that! It's very polished for a game made in 2 days.
It was a bit frustrating trying to aim with only a keyboard in a 3d game, I wish there were mouse controls. It also was a bit hard for me to finish but maybe I'll give it another try later
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 8:22
Really cool idea! I like the humor of this game. The art is really great too!
As already said before the gameplay becomes a little boring when you get used to controls. Maybe you could introduce some more _unstability_. For example some beer would turn bad so you have to throw it away or get a penalty for shipping it. Just giving some ideas here
Still a very enjoyable game, played it for quite a long a time
If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game I've made a recording of my playthrough: https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY Your game starts at 08:08
Beautiful and very stressful game, haha!
I love the art and the music. The idea and chaotic nature of the game are pretty fun too. Timers go out way too fast IMHO and fences are not clearly visible so it quickly gets frustrating. Maybe if the chaos was introduced gradually the player could handle it better?
Great job anyways!
Really cool NES-like game! I absolutely love the graphics and the music!
The bike part is genius and very hard at the same time. I guess you could've moved arrows from the corner closer to character so the player can see what buttons to press and watch out for enemies at the same time. Apart from that really good job. It's almost as if you built 3 games which is very impressive!
I played it and recorded it during my stream. Unfortunately I was using new software and didn’t check if everything was ok so it recorded like 2/3 of my screen  I saved recordings of games where you could still understand what’s going on. And your's is on the list. Though it's not really clear in the bike part ... I hope it will still be helpful to see how first-time player interacts with your game  https://youtu.be/KdS9PsTVR1o Your game starts at 46:23
Nice little game, with cool graphics and a clever mechanic... I wish I could enjoy it more, but it's pretty buggy and hard to make any progress
That's a nice take on the theme! I really-really like the visuals and the different seasons!
I was streaming my playthrough of some games and made a recording of it. I hope it will be helpful for you to see a first-time player's perspective of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88rtTOXawsw I'm starting to play your game at 34:39
Nice job! A good take on the theme. I wish the there was more dynamic to the game so the difficulty would change gradually. Currently once you get the idea of what to do it's pretty easy to keep on going endlessly. I gave up at around the score of 200.
Cool platformer! Really nice art and character animation. The idea is pretty clever too. I had a great time playing it!
My only problem was timing jumps with trampolines and climbing (on level 6 double jump off the wall just never worked)
Great job!
This game looks too cute to be so hard, haha! Love the character sprite and animations!
I wish the game could give a little more information to the player so it wouldn't feel like you are absolutely out of control: show an indicator of where you are going to jump and maybe ability to aim more precisely (with a mouse maybe)? Show an indicator of jump force, so you control and memorize it, because it feels very random at the moment and you don't feel like you've learned or mastered something.
I recorded my playthrough of your game. I hope seeing how a first-time player interacts with your game could help you understand my feedback a little: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw Your game starts at 27:28
Nice little puzzle game! It's surprisingly fun to manipulate letters once you get the grasp of what's going on. Some more direction for the player would be nice IMHO. Maybe another filled word. Dunno, maybe it's just me.
Love the graphics and sound effects too!
There are quite some bugs that forced to reload the game a few times (letters disappear). But hey, it's compo. Great job!
Pretty cool little game! Great work on difficulty progression and puzzle design!
If I could nitpick one thing -- maybe you could remove a previously created stone by making a new one. But it's really a tiny thing and I still was able to complete this game and have some fun
I recorded my playthrough of your game. If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game -- check it out: https://youtu.be/cXpAExWjwSw Your game starts at 10:30
This is a fun little game!
It's a little easy, since you can basically push the lemming through with a single platform, but that's ok. I like the simple guitar soundtrack and some developer-art! Compo-style
Good job!
---
P.S. Hi Robert, didn't expect to meet you here :)
Quite a fun game to play! The Schrodinger's machine was also a clever mechanic to have! Especially combined with the ability to respawn so you can gamble on your chance to live even if you don't have enough scrap.
I wanted to mention the bug when you die, but seems like it's a known issue already
If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game I've made a recording of my playthrough: https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY Your game starts at 47:27
Great job! A very unexpected take on the theme! I love the soundtrack too!
It takes a few tries to understand how to dance but that's totally ok. Don't have much to add to what has been said already.
If you would like to see how a first-time player interacts with your game I've made a recording of my playthrough: https://youtu.be/nr6n3tF5CHY
It's nice to play around for a little while. It has potential.. like being a competitive multiplayer game? Good job!
That's really nice game! I love how a process of balancing a single thing affects so many part of gameplay: you must cool down, which makes you get closer to enemies; you don't want to freeze and shoot slowly so you try to not pick all cooling cores at once -- so you are risking overheat. It's really fun and well balanced... and very unstable at the same time (I hope that makes sense )
I don't know if it was intended but I was able to play after death (and the timer kept on going) and shooting hoards of enemies with insane fire-rate -- lots of fun!
It also a lot of room to grow: add more enemy-types, a boss fight maybe? If you wish to expand it of course. Maybe reduce health of basic enemies so it's more fun and less stressful? I dunno, just throwing some ideas
I actually was streaming and recording my playthrough of your game... but running it consumed all my system resources so I've got recording with like 1 frame per 5 seconds  I've tried to include all my impressions and ideas in the feedback above
Unexpectedly great experience!
The characters are charming, each with their own personality. The theme explored very well with a lot of thought-provoking dialogue. Visuals are simple but pleasing. Music is just great
Gameplay wise: really great job on the difficulty progression with gradual escalation to face the inevitable. Well done!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
That's a great game all around! I enjoyed every bit of it: the story, the visuals, the animation, very well thought-through ability progression, music... just... wow, congrats! I'm looking forward for the extended version, haha
I don't have really much things to critique. One thing that comes to mind is that it wasn't really clear that the game can be finished and I almost gave up, but then finally made it to the good ending in the final run. Oh and it also took me a while to realise that I'm the boat and don't need to look for it.
Apart from that a really solid experience from start to end, well done!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
A really clever and unexpected take on the theme!
Pretty fun to play as well once you learn which friends like what and what activity icons means. It takes a while to learn it though and the player gets bombarded with information when the game starts.
It's pretty cool that there's quite a lot of humor in this game that's hidden in the game mechanics and not dialog. Well done!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game, here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Really fun game to play! I absolutely enjoyed the core mechanic of moving the tank and the gun separately, kind of giving it a simulator feeling, while being fun enough. The difficulty progression is done very well too!
The only thing I can complain about is the enemies that are attacking you from beyond the level, which is kind of infuriating. But I managed to beat the in the end, so all's good! Great work!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Funny, very nice looking and overall a really solid game! I'm really impressed that it's done in compo as well
My main problem with this game was framerate, if you're gonna make an after jam version with improvements -- let me know, I'd check it out!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
A very unexpected and innovative concept! It's really interesting to try to come up with a theme that's going to produce a long converstation (_spolier:_ ww2 does that great). Truly creative way of using wikipedia API!
It's also really interesting how you could easily lose, while distracted by the conversation and then not come up with anything when music gets intense and they start to notice the elephant. I had my wife sitting next to me so we kind of cheated the game coming up with ideas together and at some point I decided to just stop. So increasing difficulty overtime might be a thing you'd like to do. Anyways that's a really well done compo entry!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of your game, here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
Beautiful and and quite a hard game! Really loved the overall aesthetic of it. I couldn't get used to the constantly changing speed of the "bullet" and I guess it might take quite a lot of practice to get used to it.
But overall a very solid entry, nice job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
Hey, I also made game about a dictator!
Love your take on it. It's pretty small but I enjoyed every bit of it. Graphics are great, the core mechanic of trying to understand the drawings on the board in 15s is really fun (the drawings are top-notch btw), the dictator's animation and voiceover are also very-very well done! Very polished and fun experience!
I was recording my playthrough of your game, but it kinda took a lot of resources so the recording's like 1FPS  Well, you could still hear the commentary so here's a link just in case https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
An unexpected take on a stealth kind of game! Interesting take on the theme as well
The gameplay loop is really well done too, the risk/reward balance is just right. It's really fun to risk a bit and then try to get away from guards. *spoiler* don't try to fight a guard *endspoiler*
Great job!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
That's a beautiful, cute and funny game! Loved all the cat puns and cool animations
The level-design combined with an unexpected way of traversing the space... might need a bit of work. I tried the tutorial version but still even after finishing tutorial the difficulty ramps up insanely fast making the player feel frustrated rather than challenged. I fell into this trap myself making my previous jam game and learned the hard way that any new game-mechanics that players see for the first time need a very smooth learning curve and a lot of repetition to avoid the frustration.
The difficulty is probably the hardest thing to do right in a jam, so overall still a very solid job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. Here's the recording in case you'd like to see it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
That was a great experience. It felt like I was a in a theater and suddenly actors started interacted with me. And that's a horror, haha. Really great work on visuals and sounds -- making the game so immersive!
The pauses between events were a bit too big for my liking making it a little boring at times. The inability to do much apart from walking back and forth along the station didn't help it. The ending was thrilling and just right though! For a compo that's still is such an impressive job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
I love your take on the theme with simple and clear visuals and some sfx and music! Gameplay gets repetitive quite fast but it's kind of the point and I still had some fun with it. Especially with those very relatable "inevitable things", haha
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk
Your game starts at 6:36
One of my favorite compo entries so far!
A very nicely balanced gameplay loop: build your city as panic of the upcoming attack grows and then sit back and watch it unfold. Beautiful. Clever usage of chess-like mechanics in an unexpected way. The overall mood is also very well set.
My only very minor complain is that the night is really dark, and it's hard to see what's going on. But overall a really great experience for something done in 2 days! Love it
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Great idea, great execution! Had a lot of fun with it and made it till the end! Cool visuals and effects as well. Very solid job for a 48h game!
My only wish would be a tutorial where player could learn about basic mechanics, but that's totally forgivable for a compo game. Well done!
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk Your game starts at 30:50
Very well done! Cool gameplay idea with enough room to learn and practice it. Really nice visuals and animation.
I stumbled upon a bug that didn't let me finish the game so I had to restart it (that last box on a rope got stuck). That didn't really affect my experience though, I really enjoyed your game and made it to the end!
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk Your game starts at 15:38
Great idea and great implementation. Very hard, but fair which was intentional I guess.
The simple artstyle works very well, the vfx are cool and overall the game is aesthetically pleasing.
Quotes at the endgame screen are also a nice touch. I got the subliminal message you were trying to send with them, it made me realise that this game is probably more than anything an expression of emotions. I feel you and can only imagine what you're going through. Doing creative work is a really great way to express yourself and you've done it well!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. Here's the recording in case you'd like to see it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
That is such a great game for a compo! The art is great; the music while not conventional for that genre fir very well; visual and sound effects were cool, especially the bossfight
And of course the core concept of having to heal the boss the whole time only to kill it is unique, funny and fits the theme very well. Overall a very solid job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
Nice looking and surprisingly enjoyable game! It's really funny that there's no motivation to pick stuff up apart from the player's greed.. which works pretty well, haha
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Nice little game! The controls feel just right not super precise and not too slow to crash on every corner. Makes for a really enjoyable gameplay!
Since you're in the extra maybe consider adding some music? That would improve experience even further. Nice job anyway.
Thanks for submitting your game to my stream, here's a recording in case you'd like to see it: https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
Such an impressive job for jam game! There are so many little parts of it done so well that now it just needs more content to be a full-fledged game!
Stunning visuals, immersive music and sfx, lots of humor. Well done all around!
The only thing that might need a bit of improvement is the learning curve. A small tutorial that explains every system in a non-stress environment. Not asking it from a jam entry that has so many other things though
Loved it
Thanks for bringing it to my stream @brainoid! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
Beautiful and heartwarming game! A rare sight for a jam game! I really love your take on the theme
Just a solid, great experience overall: the dialog options that look rational lead you to a wrong path, but the time it took me to complete the game was just right for it not to become tedious. Great job!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Short but solid game! It has got a lot of potential!
Really enjoyed visuals and effects of destroyed buildings. The outline for things hidden for camera is also a very nice and surprising touch for a compo game! Nice job!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
I wanted to give this game a review yesterday but... decided to do it later
Really funny little game. Looks gorgeous! SFX with music are also spot on! So many funny little details and interactive elements. The procrastinator facts are just hilarious. Overall a very solid job!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of your game, here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
That's an unexpected take on a tetris-like game! Looks pretty nice too and sfx are hilarious :)
It was a bit hard to figure out what's going on sometimes and why a certain car wouldn't move. Still a very nice job for a compo!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
Very hard game, though that makes it quite satisfying to make it to the end!
A nice set of movement abilities and a nice progression of difficulty. Apart maybe from that last part with side dashes, I'd die on that hill saying player should learn about this mechanic in a less stressful environment  But overall a very nice job for the jam!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
Very funny game that takes an unexpected turn!
Nice work on visuals and sounds, all fits together well! Gets repetitive after a while but it's totally forgivable for a jam game.
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it: https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Beautiful game with great storytelling and humor! Lines up with the theme very well too!
Gameplay didn't really stick with me, but that's just my genre preferences. I still want to revisit your game sometime later just to see all the different endings.
I was recording my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 0:44
A funny take on the theme! And very nice little mobile-friendly game. Visuals, music and sfx are all great and set the mood very well. Really enjoyed playing it!
One area where you can improve it is the cat's attack. I wish there was some sort of a sound warning or a more vfx or even both. It was not always easy to read before it was too late. But over all a very solid job!
Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
Truly beautiful and meditative game. A bit on the easier side, but it's even good for the jam. Really enjoyed it!
Very polished too! I've got only one minor complain about UI with turrets/shields placement -- at first it's not obvious where you can place what and where you can't. It's really minor though because it takes just a bit of trial and error to figure it. Overall a very solid entry!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/WudvDztkwdg
@emrod that's great, I'd love to!
A really cool idea for the theme and great implementation! It's really fun to try to compete with a robot for as long as you can. Though once 5 new parts are introduced it's getting overwhelming quickly. Also the board looked a bit small on my screen and I couldn't easily distinguish which part should go where.
But those are minor issues, I really enjoyed playing your game! Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag (your game starts at 2:42:42)
A very good puzzle game with very well done difficulty curve, fun dialog and aesthetically pleasing. Enjoyed every bit of it from start to end -- such an impressive feat for a jam.
Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
Really love the idea of dynamically changing levels! The idea of typing direction is pretty funny too but stressful at the same time, hehe. Nice job on the tutorial as well, great job putting it all together so well in such a short time!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 34:31
Beautiful, moody and generally really enjoyable game. A very solid entry for a 3d game done in compo!
I had some issues: performance was not great but it is playable. Controlling movement with mouse was a bit too floaty.. you can get used to it though. Took me some time to realise how to chop wood. When fishing there's no clear indication that you started the process.
Don't get me wrong though -- those are mostly minor issues. It's a beautiful game that's interesting to play and it has got potential to become something bigger! A job well done for 48h entry
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk (sorry for low quality, youtube didn’t like my recording for some reason; I’ll re-process it and re-upload later) Your game starts at 53:29
Wow, just wow!
I see that you've got quite a big team but it is still **very** impressive how polished and detailed this game is. It's short, true, but I enjoyed every bit of it. Now I want more. Please tell me where to sing up, haha
But seriously, the concept, art, animation, music, sfx and a little bit of story it's all so well done and coherent. The difficulty was also just right for me -- took me a couple tries but I managed to get all the pieces! Can't recommend it enough, definetely one of my favs from JAM entries!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
A really cool idea -- a simple city-building strategy with a monster wrecking havoc!
It was quite easy but that's good for a jam game. I've only got one problem with the end screen -- it's so easy to miss. The exit button is in the same place where next button is which you click without much though once you get up to speed. So I completed the game twice, first time with 59 days to spare but didn't know about it until I revisited my recording  Anyway nice job!
Here's the said recording by the way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
Simple and very beautiful game
I wish there was a bit more to the gameplay as there's not much progression but the core mechanic is pretty fun play with for a while and the game is short enough for it not to become annoying. The ending is very nice too. Overall a great job for the jam
Great game, really fun to play!
As mentioned above the start is a bit slow, but it's not a big deal. It could be really cool in multiplayer imho, would love to see it if you're gonna keep working on the game
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 19:27
I love this type of games where player controls the environment and not the character. You've done a great job squeezing maximum fun out of it!
The combination of a theme, interesting puzzles combined with quick reactions is pretty unique and so well done! The graphics and music with sfx are also great, especially keeping in mind that's it's a compo. Overall I think you nailed it and the experience you've made from that idea is so-so close to being just perfect for that timeframe. Impressive!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
Solid, beautiful and immersive game! Pretty stressful though. I couldn't make it to the end as I wanted to take a break but maybe I'll give another go sometime later
Really enjoyed it though, the visuals and music are great and even when you fail you can kinda just enjoy the show. Carpe Diem, hehe. Great job!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Cool idea, nicely done controls, movement and skills! All make for an enjoyable gameplay loop.
Changing weapons with mouse felt a bit weird -- the game did not react immediately or sometimes not at all (maybe the problem is with direction and the list of weapons is not endlessly scrollable)
Nice job for a solo entry in a jam anyway!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
As a software engineer I'm biased but this game is hilarious! Great work on resources and cards, lots of humor there. The sound effects got me too!
I made it to week 17! Guess my life taught me a bit about pretending to be a software engineer, haha. _spoiler:_ The amount of babies you can have in the game is just inhuman
Really great job!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of your game, here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
A funny take on a theme with a lot of humor in it. Gameplay gets repetitive after a while but not for long as you'll run out of a certain resource pretty soon. Overall a very good job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. I didn't comment on certain things as my stream wasn't marked as mature content and wasn't sure what's safe to say  Anyway, here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
Nice looking little game!
I really like where the theme lead you. I'd like to see how this idea can be explored deeper, making the undead help the player in some way. A few more levels would be great too but I understand the limitations. Great job anyways!
I was recording my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:28:56
Totally did not expect this game to be so fast-based looking at the preview! The core mechanic is very well done -- it it's usually tedious to go and pick up weapon that you threw but with this giant dash it's so fun. The way of killing enemies is pretty clever too!
Overall a very solid and fun game! Great job!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game, here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Beautiful and a bit trippy little game! Really loved how self-aware it is with all the funny little comments.
It kind of lacked direction and purpose for my liking and I didn't make it till the end. I was a bit tired though, so maybe I'll give it a go once I'm properly rested
Anyways, really great aesthetic and humor!
Not sure if it's helpful for the reasons mentioned above but here's a recording of my playthrough in case you'd like to see it: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:32:38
Pretty impressive for a jam game! With 3 different areas having different style of gameplay. Great visuals, sound and effects!
Fighting mechanic was a bit hard to master but once you get it it's getting pretty enjoyable.
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:14:45
Simple, but pretty enjoyable gameplay -- the controls are just tight enough for difficult parts to be difficult and easy parts be easy!
It lacked a bit in direction and giving player the reason to do what they do. The morale was also a bit too upfront and oversimplified for my liking. Anyway nice job on finishing the game!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game, here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Great game with a lot of potential! Art, animation and sound are very well done and coherent and set the mood. The gameplay is really catchy and I see a lot of room for player to learn all the details of movement system. Hoping to see this game becoming something big!
My only problem was keyboard layout.. at least jumping with spacebar would be nice, haha. Great job anyways!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Unexpected and funny take on the theme! Really fun to play, polished, simple and effective, well done!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
A charming, funny and trippy game! Loved your take on the theme. And the incarnation of sleep is just.. whoa, really cool!
The gameplay gets repetetive after a while, but not for long cause the sleeps starts chasing you very fast. Nice visuals overall, though sometimes they felt really inconsistent... but I'm guessing it was made on purpose to give this retro point and click vibe.
Overall a very nice job
I was streaming my playthrough of your game! Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
@vixenmink yeah I totally get that and didn't mean that you should've done better job in 3 days. It already is impressive for a game made in 3 days
That's a really dark game if you think about what's going on long enough, haha. Love it though! Really unexpected take on the theme. Maybe gameplay could use some twist to at least give player a hope to delay the inevitable a little longer. I still had some fun with it, good job!
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk (sorry for low quality, youtube didn’t like my recording for some reason; I’ll re-process it and re-upload later) Your game starts at 25:30. And I'm sorry, I couldn't pronounce your nickname correctly
Really clever and funny take on the theme. Done beautifully too! The visuals, the music and sfx, the little funny backstory all sit together so well! It's pretty difficult but after a few tries I managed to get to the 5th book, so I'd say the difficulty is done pretty good. The first time I felt like the game was increasing it's difficulty as I increased my skill, which is very impressive. Especially for a jam game. And the tutorial is a nice touch!
Loved it
Thanks for bringing it to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
Beautiful game! While I'm not sure I caught every little clue the game gave me about the world the game set it, the overall experience is really pleasant and thought provoking. I'm hoping to see more from you!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:52:33
Wow, very impressive job for the jam! So thought-through and polished! With nice difficulty progression with new moves, beautiful art and music that change with each area, some upgrades between levels.. damn. Death screen with your last moment is a pretty cool idea too and the old man taunting you is nice touch, haha
Loved it, definitely one of my favs from ld50
Very dark and a little scare at times... great job for a compo!
The first part of the game is really well done: level design, enemy placement is good for player to learn basics get hit a bit but continue going. Once I got to the 3rd emberly I wasn't really sure what to do next. No matter where I went there was a dead-end. There was one corridor that did not have objects closing it but I couldn't walk through it for some reason.
Nice job on the visuals and sounds -- set the mood pretty well. Overall a very nice job!
I was streaming and recording my playthrough of your game, here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/xAmitsB_F9k
That was an experience! Well thought through causes and dialog with a bit of humor. Very well done! It's also great that there's no judgement of the player's choices and only the player themselves can judge if something is right or wrong. Good stuff, highly recommend!
And thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 49:45
A ton of fun from start to end! Visuals, music, humor all is there! The dialog is what makes the experience so nice of course. And the fact that you were able to make so much great dialog, multiple levels, ability progression and polish it all so well in 3 days with a team of 2 is just amazing!
We had a blast acting out parts with my wife, that was a great suggestion! Nice that you came to the stream and interacted with us the whole time we played
Here's a recording of our playthrough: https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
A very meditative game! It's like watching an animal tv show on an alien plant. It's quite easy and gets repetetive after a while so after about 15 minutes I felt like there's not much more to this game. Also I believe there's a bug that lets the predator to eat a blup that was already eaten hence prolonging the game.
But overall a really innovative and unexpected take on the theme

@circle thank you so much for such a detailed feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, I noticed that text behaves weirdly on different screens, I need to find some good tutorials on how to make scalable UI in unity (if you have any links, please share, haha)
@blockerz thank you so much for your input! I updated the setting on itch and it already looks better!
@wren-erickson sorry to hear that. I updated setting on itch so it should be visible now!
I'll also add a windows build, that might solve some problems as I guess
@pdotjpg thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
yeah, I'm looking into the UI issue. It's really unfortunate for a game with a lot of text in it.. thanks for sticking with it
@blockerz thanks again I just updated the canvas scaler as you recommended and now UI seems to be looking exactly right on all screens!
@googlypoo wow, I deeply appreciate it! thank you!
@muriel @d00kl1 @gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida @jesus-gonzalez @apaull0 @rickbadan @shorkiesoftware @incobalt @taran95
I'm kind of overwhelmed by your positive feedback. Thank you all so much! I'm super glad that the experience was good and the message was delivered
@sunjet thanks, I appreciate it
Haven't really thought about making something bigger out of this game. Taking the ideas and elaborating on them — absolutely. But gameplay wise I can't really see how this could be expanded. Maybe make a series of mini-games in the same setting/universe? I'm really curious to know what you had in mind when said about long term project
@ubershmekel thanks for your input, that's definitely area I need to improve!
The way I intended inevitable part is that dictators fall and all their crimes are uncovered but thinking about it... I sure hope dictators rising to power is not inevitable, hehe
@jonah-srg wow, that's like a review in a gaming magazine or something! thank you so much
@0x01f0 thank you very much!
you shouldn't feel bad that you made a funny game. sometimes, if not most of the times that's just exactly what we need
@baubau haha, you're actually the first person apart from my friends who noticed! or at least the first who told. absolutely that was intentional
the police actually keeps going up but when you're growing wider after changing constitution, you take up at least 2 lanes and maybe for the lack of vfx it's not clear that you stomp cops on the center even if you went to the side. so yeah it does become harder to increase it but it's possible and getting to 70 for the war shouldn't be that hard
@taximan981 I'm glad you enjoyed it! You can't really win this game, there's no good ending for a dictator. Sorry if that wasn't clear and added frustration to the experience
@pio thanks, glad you had fun! not sure I completely understand you about one ending though. there are 5 endings to this game (2 are very similar though)... but none of them are good or much satisfying, so I'm gonna guess that's what you meant. Thanks for your input you've got a point!
@bluishgreenpro yeah I saw you struggling and I guess many people will have similar or worse experience without me observing and giving tips.
On the other hand this is my most well received entry so far. I'm slowly but surely improving thanks to people like you who give thorough feedback! Again, thanks for having me and doing develolper interview series ❤️
@vixenmink thank you very much for your input!
I'm sorry you couldn't understand the gameplay. It is confusing. I certainly need to improve my tutorials and UI
@kosmosael thanks for giving it a try! It's ok that you got lost. There is a lot of information that you need to process to get the understanding of what's going on and how you should react to it. I saw a couple people streaming my game were very confused, so you're not alone and it's my mistake. There's a lack of tutorial and good UI too.
I'm working on a post-jam version now to fix those issues
Very clever take on the theme, very well executed! Took me a while to learn how to play but once I did it really clicked! Maybe a small tutorial could help (not asking it from a 48h game though)
Great visuals, sfx and setting. Solid entry!

That's a very-very nicely done game! Cool concept, amazing visuals, great humor. The effects are really cool too, watching other npcs flying after a shot was so fun!
The cards are pretty clever idea and nicely balanced too. Overall a very polished game, very well done!
Thank you for bringing it to my stream! I had a lot of fun with it. Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/hPPKMGZGGDs
I finally got to play your game and despite a few bugs I really enjoyed it!
I'm amazed by the amount content, different gameplay mechanics, art and music you were able to produce in such a short time! The main gameplay loop is really well done, it's just fun to fly around and shoot space pirates.
It's hard to complain about this game because there's so much in it for a compo, but I'm going point at a few problems a ran into: * the tutorial was a bit too long, maybe giving info partially could work better; * I couldn't run it on Firefox, but it's ok; * when I accidentally press tab I can't move anymore. this is the biggest issue I had and it kind of prevented me from progressing far in the game
Anyway, a really impressive job!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
It's a really nice looking silly game. I wish it was a bit easier because I couldn't even make it past the second level. The music is ridiculous but kind of right for that kind of game!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
A very unexpected take on the theme and pretty fun to play for a while!
I'd only suggest the difficulty to increase slower: in the first minute it's really ease and than just in a matter of seconds you get bombarded by the amount of asteroids you can't handle. Difficulty is pretty hard to figure out in such a short time, so great job anyways!
I was streaming my playthrough of your game, here's a recording https://youtu.be/1s0mnrLO_ak
Very solid game for a compo! Looks really good. Controls are a bit unconventional but somehow work pretty well with the character
It was a bit hard for and I didn't make it past 3rd level.. maybe I'll give it another go once properly rested, haha. Great job anyways!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a link in case you'd like to see the recording: https://youtu.be/6O1eFU0xLWM Your game starts at 1:41:15
Nice to see Hazel in action! Great job with the jam too!
The first part of the game is very well done! With great visuals and music setting the mood and mysterious notes making you run around the village. The slowly intensifying pressure is just so well done!
The second part is kind of a setback after that. I totally get the limitations of the jam and taking into consideration of the amount of job for the first part. It's just the feeling that quality doesn't match what was promised with the world-building: the enemies have no character, you can just endlessly run away from them.. looking for a lantern to find some ammo is a nice idea though, could totally see it expanded and maybe used as a trap for the player later. Anyway, again, I totally get the limitations of the jam, I'd love to see that project expanded -- it has a lot of potential. Thanks for making it!

A really cool idea with a lot tools at player's disposal to try to delay the inevitable
Some systems might use a tutorial or a bit of improvement (looking at the solar generator ). But for a compo -- a very solid job! It looks very nice; sfx, music and humor -- all's there. Great job!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WudvDztkwdg
That's a very funny and very hard game, haha! Really love the idea, the visuals and sounds all fits together very well!
There were a couple of things that would take me a while to realize would you not have told me: * punching background makes the pinned letters loose; * Q can't be placed even once grabbed unless it's stunned
But these can easily be fixed with a tutorial, which I don't expect from a jam entry
Making it to the end was very emotional and cathartic though! Nicely done
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/WudvDztkwdg
Simple, very polished and fun game to play!
Really love how everything is so well put together: the sound, the visual, the effects and the little comic-style story bit in the beginning. Well done!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Beautiful and meditative! I love how you took a simple idea and done it very well! Visuals and sounds are great and add a lot to the experience. Really enjoyed it!

Aesthetically pleasing and quite polished game! The core gameplay is pretty good too. The game was rather easy for me.. so waiting for more content, haha
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
Great puzzler! I love the setting and the idea that the whole game is a story that Silas tells you
Nice work on difficulty, it was just right for me. I was close to giving up on the 2nd level but eventually made it! Great job!
I recorded my playthrough. Here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/aJkdjOKW03M
What an amazing job! I love how you tell a story and show relationship between characters only through gameplay. That is so impressive and it is double impressive for a compo entry. Very well done!
The ending is very touching and gives so much more depth and context to the game. The core mechanic of having a second character that does all the tricky stuff is also pretty cool and unique.
Loved it
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
A very solid entry for a jam: with so many levels, beautiful graphics, very fitting music. Really impressive! Level design was pretty good too for the most part though I couldn't understand how to complete the 7th level. I'll try to return to it because I really enjoyed the core mechanic.
Some kind of visual/sound warning about swapping between characters could be nice too. Especially with picking up gears it's hard to learn the timing precisely and it's not so easy to lookout for both hazards in the level and look up at the hourglass. Another problem I had is that hazards sometimes blend with environment: there are gears that are part of the environment and sawblades that look quite similar at a glance that are a hazard that kills you.
But overall a very nice job for a jam! Hope to see it expanded
I was streaming my playthrough of your game. Here's a recording in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/P3HI-2edlag
Great visuals and music! Controls are pretty tight and nice too!
I wish there was some world-building, even as simple as a screen with text giving the player a bit of context about what's going on and why. Great job for a first entry anyways!
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here's a link in case you'd like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk Your game starts at 1:02
Nice little game! The character is pretty cute, I wish there was more backstory!
The core idea is simple but pretty well done, nice job for the first compo entry done in 30 hours.
One area that might require some work IMHO is difficulty (which is always so hard to make right): once I grasped the basic concepts of gameplay the difficulty stopped rising pretty quickly and hence stopped giving me challenge but rather waiting for me to make a mistake
Good job anyways!
