I love the concept of having to turn the light on to stop your brain from becoming unstable. I didn't like it only be one room and having such a short timeframe to do everything. It would be awesome to see this concept fleshed out into more levels.

@sologk Thanks for the comment, I will add more time and a new map

re-mar 2021-10-03 12:45

3D eeey

adiwan 2021-10-04 10:38

The very short time to get the item and the very poor visibility makes it harder than needed. I ran circles from the bathroom into the bathroom as I tried to memorize the floor plan. A little bit more brightness could have been helpful.

sceef 2021-10-04 10:54

Very fast dieeeeee

wafflecomposite 2021-10-04 10:57

Is it intended that I can just turn on the lamp twice without finding any light bulb, go to bed and pass the game?

It's pretty hard, you really can't see much. Definitely scores in mood!

pashaloban 2021-10-04 11:07

@wafflecomposite Damn, how could I not check it thanks for the comment, but I can't fix anything

dekajoo 2021-10-04 13:43

I love the mood of the game, the 3d is simple but it works very well. Great job!

caudatecoder 2021-10-04 14:05

I like the mood of the game, the sounds, the concept. I wish I could enjoy more of it, but the "lost in the dark" moment happens waay too soon

Great job anyways

A fun simple game!

0x-void-x0 2021-10-04 15:27

I couldn't see a thing, but I eventually got it

duck-reaction 2021-10-04 16:15

Very scary mood, I liked it !

It's very scary from the beggining, I would like a more progressive difficulty.

Agree with @sologk, "It would be awesome to see this concept fleshed out into more levels."

Overall, this game remember me Don't Starve and Silent Hill (in a good way).

Good job !

As at the other point, the time limit is quite harsh, and it's very dark, but I guess that was the idea. Anyway, creating a 3D game such a short amount of time is impressive in my opinion. The sound design is "nicely" creppy - I like it. Good job on your LD entry!

the-lame-brain 2021-10-04 21:51

I feel like I missed something.

I started the game, it was dark, hands are coming through the walls... Super creepy.

Then I pressed E on the lamp, and the game was over? Did I miss something? It seems like there is a whole house here, am I supposed to be able to do anything else?

Cheers! [-LB](https://ldjam.com/users/the-lame-brain/)

pashaloban 2021-10-05 12:32

@the-lame-brain Thanks for the comment. You should have found a light bulb in the dark and already turn on the lamp with it. But due to an error, the lamp can be turned on and so I did not check. At the moment I can not fix the error because I do not have access to the PC.

xschaumix 2021-10-05 15:28

If you play the game without using the bug with the light bulb to your advantage it is a really creepy game and a good submission to the jam. Keep on creating!

sir-onionknight 2021-10-05 20:51

Sadly, the lighting kind of hurt my eyes a bit, but I tried giving it a real shot. I would suggest making use of some post processing to adjust the contrast or change the environment lighting to allow for it to be a bit more dim. Even if you can't see much, a dark room is easier on the eyes than the blockout greys :)

Great attempt though! Those enemy hands were a nice touch.

proxy-games 2021-10-05 21:34

It's an interesting game, but I feel like the lack of contrast and lack of time to find the object you need really hurts the gameplay and atmosphere. I'd often find myself stuck in a room and unable to find the doorway to exit and check another one before the time ran out. Also, when I first played, I ran into the bug where I was able to just go to the lamp and press 'E' and basically skipped all the gameplay, like many others did sadly. I love the monster hands, though-they are really creepy.

rufson 2021-10-06 00:53

:scream: I like the voices most and hands. People have already written good feedback, keep working!

zvyaga 2021-10-06 11:07

Cool boogeyman simulator. Narratively shown what to do

kristoph 2021-10-08 13:47

Too short

epicureanistik 2021-10-09 16:37

Its a good concept, but it could use a little more contrast in the visuals. Its very difficult to make out any shapes other than the hands.

nemario 2021-10-09 17:03

The game looks cool, but it is too hard to see in the dark.

tatu-heinamaki 2021-10-09 18:51

Hard to play at first but if you give it a few goes it becomes easier! Liked the really short time limit and the creepy nightmare hands. The graphics are really bare and it kinda works! The light bulb ends up being well hidden by just being on a table. Could see this developing into interesting directions.

tgb20 2021-10-10 20:25

From reading other comments it seems like this game has an interesting premise but even on my screen brightest setting it was hard for me to make out anything. I understand that it being dark is a key part of the game, but perhaps it would be good to think about more accessible options in the future.

ty-victorson 2021-10-15 17:10

Like others have said, its a bit too short to die and very difficult to see even with a very bright screen, a little more light would go a long way!

quanperfect 2021-10-15 19:37

Hey, cool game and really amazing idea. I tried giving this game a chance but just after 15 minutes of trying to find the first bulb I gave up. The graphics also are kind of painful to my eyes. It needs some fixes and the game really will be great! SOLID work!

markveligod 2021-10-17 10:40

Ahh the fastest gameplay I've ever seen :D

mixedletters 2021-10-18 02:26

The lack of contrast between the shading on the walls made it near impossible for me to really see what I was doing. I tried a couple of times to get my bearings but the lack of any real time to do so didn't help either. Very rapidly felt motion sick and I wasn't even in VR XD. It was a cool concept though, I think an 'introductory level' with the light on to allow for a bit more exploration would help this leagues. Allow for a bit more 'memorization' to take place instead of just literal stumbling around in the dark before near insta death. But again, quality concept, feel this could definitely be fleshed out into a full fledged game!

coolestdoggie 2021-10-19 11:33

I died faster than I can say Hello.. Thanks for the experience!

vivyhasadream 2021-10-21 18:08

it's too scary for me > < I kept pressing E, and still died fast...
