I have found a nasty bug that manipulated all of my UI outside of the scope, making it unresponsive for lower resolution, making the game unplayable on HTML5. I have deployed the fix, but for no avail. Enjoy Win10 and Linux Versions :cat:

I love the game! I think that the low-poly artstyle fits it perfectly. It's a little on the hard side of things, though. :D

Kind of challenging game to be honest, loved the art. Lovely game.
I like this, nice simple graphics but fun trying to hurry and get another container to counter balance the ship. Great job.

These isometric graphics are beautiful. This is way more fun than the GTA V crane mission! The learning curve is a bit of a problem, would be nice to display tutorial on screen all the time (as a toggle?), short attention spans at Ludum Dare pretty much require it. Love the music too, very groovy. Racing again time to rebalance the ship is my favorite part.
BTW I ran into a bug where I somehow picked up two containers at the time, and then one container was stuck to the crane (space released the first one, but didn't want to release the second one), if you're up for a bug hunt.

I really liked the minimalist aestethics. I managed to correctly load the first ship, they really are unstable beasts! Also the playable tutorial is great, every game should have something like that.
P.s. Sometimes the crane is picking two containers at the same time and one of them gets stuck, and the crane cannot pick anything more. Also sometimes the tilting gauge ui is not working and remains at 0.0. (windows version).

@devparty @dobryn @paroxysmal Thanks for playing!
@mausimus @kumber Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I actually did know about the bug. It's actually quite simple to solve, but per Compo-rules, I decided to leave it be. Everyone should have 'Gamejam-feature' :)
very pretty, but i was rarely able to get the crane to grab anything. was the difficulty intentional?

@parafactual Hey! I actually intended to have a 'highlight' option available when you have a magnet over container... But I ran out of time trying to fix the actual 'grabbing' ( which I fixed 2 hours before deadline )
The Crane will only be able to catch anything if the 'raycast' hits the container directly below. That's why I went for stacking stuff close to each other, so you can easily grab it regardless.
But having 'highlight' would definitely be the first thing to add.
Thanks for playing!
nice. Pretty and relaxing

Really enjoyed the graphics, I have always wanted to learn how to do this exact style. Two container grab is unfortunate since it seemed to happen to me a lot. I was okey without highlight feature, but maybe for longer playing period it would be useful. Music was little too much for me but that's okey. Theme was well executed IMO.
Would love to play this but I am on mac and missing the HTML5 version. I think it wouldn't be against the rules if you publish one afterwards, because you would have to fix the UI bug which prevented you from shipping at first?

Really challenging and fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/d0CZearFG8U

@minidavid Thanks for playing!
@listonos Thanks for the feedback! I will probably include a fixed version in the end, as separate build :)
@marc-grabow Unfortunately, html5 is still not cooperating at all with me. Game works, but the UI is deep in space for some reason. I can try building desktop MacOS Version, if you're interested?
@jupiter-hadley Thanks for playing! Now I understand more, why highlight feature should be included. V1.1. will have that!
Thanks for the offer but please don't make a build just for me. I think if you could fix html5 you could get more players as it is way easier to just click a button, but sometimes the code gods are just not with us :)

I was waiting your game since first saw it on the feed, had a nice potential and you use it really well. Playable main menu was great idea for trying keys after few containers I fell like a cool operator guy and started evergreen (would be a nice if its vertical while other ships horizontal parked hahah) after few blocks more randomly placed ship become unstable and turned over, believe or not I wasnt expecting that hahaha cute graphics with fresh color palette make it relaxing experiance, congrats!

Nice graphic I have to say. The game is really challenging. Good idea with the playable title screen. nice job! The possibility to change the camera angle would have been perfect :).

That game looks easier than it is, but after a few tries you get the hang of it. Also congrats on ... uhh... shipping this game! :ship:

A nice take to the 'unstable' theme. The game play is fun but the two containers bug kinda ruins it a bit. The UI is not working well on my Windows machine too (might due to my ultrawide monitor?).

@kyboon Thanks for playing! Does the UI 'stretch' to the screen edges? Can you show me full screen screenshot?

@mikoziq no, the UI just doesn't show up. I assume there should be some restart button when the game is over. Resolution is 3440x1440 unship.png

@kyboon Thank you so much, that helps me a lot. I need to understand why this happened. It looks like camera does not like me this Ludum Dare as well
I really enjoyed the idea and looks of the game. I wish I could enjoy more of it but the crane kept on getting stuck midair and refusing to grab anything afterwards. Flipping the ship was fun though!
Good work anyways! I hope to play the fixed version :)

Simple but fun, sometimes two containers stuck together, is it a bug or something? I enjoy the feeling of doing this kind of work.I hope the crane can move faster.Good work!
I like this take on the theme, it manages to work the unstable theme in in a way I would never have thought of. The graphics are clean and work well for the gameplay. I found (as several others also seem to have mentioned) that it was difficult to tell what container I was going to be picking up, and sometimes the crane picking up a container would fling any around it in all directions. I saw in the tutorial that the different containers had different weights, but I forgot what they were almost immediately and I couldn't see much of a difference between them when I did drop them on the ship. Overall I found this an interesting and surprisingly difficult game, well done!
Also thank you for introducing me to the concept that is Unity ProBuilder, I have managed to never come across it in several years of game jams and it looks rather useful.
cool game! graphics are my favorite part. the song gets kind of annoying tho
I love your submission. The idea is great and feels right. The only thing I don't like in it, that I can't understand the position of the magnet. Overall a very nice submission, well done.

I like the idea and the clean, simple graphics.
The game-play itself didn't quite "click" for me, and I think the main reason was that it felt more about trying to guess what the crane is over, rather than actually positioning the containers and balancing them on the boat. Your idea of a "highlight" option is a good one, but even just tweaking the lighting to be from directly above would let you use the crane's shadow to line things up.
I also had some trouble remembering how much the various containers weighed, which is a problem when the heaviest ones are ten times the weight of the lightest. Writing the weights on the containers themselves probably wouldn't suit the clean aesthetic of the game, but a hint or reminder somewhere in the UI would have helped.
There were also handful of bugs and stuff, but I'm guessing you're already aware of most of them and they're a result of the unforgiving time-frame for the compo.
I like the idea and the graphics.
I got some bugs : sometimes, containers are stuck and can't release it. I would like fastest controls. Maybe add feedbacks to let the player know the mass of container.
Overall, great entry !

Fantastic visuals here. The modelling is spot on for the low poly aesthetic you were going for. The music was suitable, although did get slightly annoying the longer it went on. I unfortunately wasn't able to get very far as it seems the controls were buggy. Sometimes when I pressed space, nothing would happen. Sometimes the crane would grab two boxes instead of one and then only release one when pressed again and then be stuck.

Nice concept and the controls feel pretty smooth.
Unfortunately I managed way too often to "mash" containers together and than couldn't only drop one and pick no new ones up 😅
unshipable.png
Also I can relate way too much with the pain of trying to export Unity to the web :D
During gameplay I've encountered 2 bugs: I've picked up 2 containers and was soft locked and I picked up no containers and I was also soft locked. The game is pretty fun, although slow paced. Having more control of the situation would be appreciated

One of the highest-rated entry for me. The only thing I want to suggest is to add "shadow" or some sort of target indicator beneath the crane claw!
The art is great! Love the color palette and low poly models. This is a great take on the theme. I ran into a few bugs that have already been mentioned, but I think this is well done overall. I enjoyed smashing the containers around almost as much as actually playing the game properly.
