Dodge the Doge by LucasMolina 2020-10-07T02:29:40Z
228.7, kinda had a little too much fun watching the dog run in circles (or loops lol). Wish there was sound affects but really interseting and cool.

Loved the naration and cool connection to the theme.
it's a lot of fun, a little loose connection to the theme and the difficulty curve kind of ramps up a lot after wave two but it felt pretty natural despite that and wasn't too difficult. Cute little game.
Really cool, sometimes when I would spawn in a level there would be one less astronaut than before but I'm not sure if that's intended because I kinda needed it lol.
Got 78%, was a lot of fun. Took me a second to get the tie in to the theme but I loved the graphics and music!
Very cool, I came back from the collapsing platforms after hitting the button but I don't think it was working right because I fell into a hole because it was the only place and got stuck (because it wouldn't kill me).
The game kept telling me to use perform my 3 actions, then do a fourth but would always reset me before I could add a fourth, so I quit pretty early
@sli I loaded it up again and it seemed to work, thank you
Very creative and fun, nice work!
@n8dev Thank you so much, we will keep that in mind for next time. For the dash mechanic we did use AddForce and even tried using a forloop of smaller forces and even tried adding velocity but thank you for the suggestion!
This is really good! I think the level design could use a bit during the beginning could use some tweaking but otherwise great job.
Wish I could know how to play because it looks and sounds great.
Really cool concept, never see enough of these kinds of games and you did great!
Nice little game, love the music!
This game was awesome, great job making a cool concept and challenging puzzle game
Loved it! felt polished and everything fit well together. Sadly couldn't find the last fish (and I did look at the bottom all the way) but that could've just been me, maybe make it glow a little if it's really small? Only improvement would be to add some more water sounds or ambient sound.
Great game, couldn really use some some sounds, even basic ones would be nice. You can use this to make some nice game sounds at random https://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html. Also the gameplay got a little stale so maybe add some more mechanics going through the levels. However the game play was nice, however I did have an issue when I was pointing to the right but would go left. Overall nice job!
Great job, it took me a while to understand how easy it was to beat the game lol. I really like the concept and implementation, could use some more features and it'd be even better.
Love the atmoshpere that the sounds and visuals produce, wish their were some more interesting things to find though.
@squerf Thank you! I Agree that the momentum would have been more realistic but I thought it made the game a little too difficult.
@Craplex,@gimmers, and @Might Mufflon Games Thank you so much!
@y4nnick thank you! The shop is supposed to give a hint on each item when you hover over it :)
@Patsui Thank you for the kind words, and yea forgot about that part so thank you for the reminder as well.
@MYline media glad you noticed and were hopefully able to beat it with the shop items!
like the graphics, music, and idea. Like everyone else said it was confusing on what was I supposed to be doing. Great job though!
Cool concept, just needs some more features and I think it's got some potential. Look and feels great.
love the way the controls and hitting things feel. Some sounds would have been really nice and quick to implement (since I see you're using unity). You can use https://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html this to make generate random sfx sounds. Also kinda dig the 2d art in the 3d background giving it a unique aesthetic. Great job on your first solo dev! My final score was 782.
I thought I wouldn't like it it because the gameplay seemed a bit bland, then almost half a hour went by and I was still playing... Great job!
I started watching you when I was a kid watching Sim city 5 and Civ 5 lets plays and first heard about ludum dare, unity, and game dev from you. Now this is my 3rd time participating and hoping to get into game dev as a career. Just wanted to say thanks for being an inspiration!
Can't believe this was done in javascript, couldn't get past 80 but what I played was really cool!
@3bt @malero @nathan-evans @noskro @miranda @arqitech Thank you so much! We really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it. Original concept was thought of by @michbet and refined by the both of us.
@malero @noskro yea I need to do a check to not throw if the axe is in the wall so it just throws it outside, sorry if this makes you have to reset. Going into another room gives it back though, so just try not to do it in the tutorial room or an active room.
@nathan-evans No the levels are not procedural, handcrafted and designed by @michbet. There is an end, 5 upgrades, and a secret boss.
