Very nice concept! I like the inversion on the theme, and the particle effects and screenshake work real well for the game feel. While the base gameplay works well, I feel like it stales a bit due to the endless nature of the game and think it'd be more interesting to have more things happen over time. My thoughts would be things like more missiles over time, countered by upgrades that would allow you to throw more rocks or throw rocks faster (with the currency probably being the counter on the top right).
The game is a little confusing, but the graphics and music are very well done, I really liked the style of the game, good job ;)
@pixelbug Thanks for the feedback! I should have mentioned in the the game description that there is an end to the game if you manage to tower up and throw a rock at the alien spaceship. I do agree there should have been more progression, but I barely had any time after some unproductive first few days.
really looks and sounds good, nice physics :) It is a shame that you don't get an end of level ( you resist as long as you can but you can't really win ). As a player I need a reward, or a score :) Otherwise pooping blocks is fun ^^
@trabitboy Just so you know, you can actually win by throwing a block at the spaceship that's shooting all the projectiles (I think I mentioned that in the description?)
Wow, this is really good! Catchy music, fun gameplay, and great pixel art.
Turns out getting buried isn't so bad, because I just kept spamming J and eventually the physics make blocks explode over the whole area.
@peace-of-cake-games Just figured out that strategy for myself after uploading the HTML build!

Great job, it took me a while to understand how easy it was to beat the game lol. I really like the concept and implementation, could use some more features and it'd be even better.
Funny game! But too fast for me!
I like what's going on here, but wow I found this one to be tough to play on a keyboard!
The missiles spawn like 2x too fast and drop 3-4x faster than I'd like - it makes it feel really random. I could see this being pretty interesting if you slow it down and play up the missile juggling aspect - it's kind of a neat way to defend a tower you're working on.
Also maybe some kind of princess peach hover effect for your character's jump could be really fun here i think.
I like this kind of game, not trying to criticize here, i just think you could probably turn this into something pretty addicting with some small adjustments :) nice work!
Couldn't figure out what to do until I scrolled down, REALLY glad you put that hint in there. After that it was pretty easy - just wait for a handful of mats and then build a tower in the corner with down+block and eventually get to the top.
I will say it is VERY fun and challenging to try to build a tower in the middle of the stage. It was fun to watch they physics wreck havoc while you tried your best to salvage it. Perhaps it could be tune so that that was the primary playstyle (or building a pyramid to have stability).
Overall I thought this was a pretty fun concept. Though rather than going Deeper and Deeper you're going higher and higher :P Spamming blocks for the sake of doing it and watching the physics go haywire is definitely worth playing around with.
@robochase6000 You're right about it feeling random; I was pretty rushed, so I made the spaceship movements and missle spawns pure RNG :-)

Solid game! I had trouble finding the spaceship to throw rocks at. The physics were very satisfying :)
It was a bit confusing at first, but when I finally understood what I am supposed to do, it was hell of a ride. The game is very fun, and the chaos of explosions and flying blocks everywhere just make it better. I was always in rush and panicking, and it was awesome! The pixel art is also very cool.
But my only gripe is that pressing J is really awkward and uncomfortable, at least for me.
But still, good work!

This was overall cool! Throwing blocks and building the tower felt good, I ended up replaying the game trying to beat my own win time :P The ammo/block counter felt a bit random since I never really felt I was running out of blocks.

heym the game is very fun music and graphics are amazing, the dithering showing the depth it was a nice touch for the game! maybe add a visual feedback of when / where the bomb is coming from, and a life bar! I didnt notice when I was been hit. Its a great game, keep it up! =)

Oh no my good friend @robonaut121 has not reached the ratings? Time to fix it!
At first I was unsure how to even build a tower that was sufficiently high to reach the spaceship, while also protecting the structural integrity. Then I decided to turn to the spam approach and accidently turned builder bot into a surface to air missile. I found that funny.

It's been hard to reach that spaceship but somehow I managed to destroy it XD Also was funny the fact that while I was going up I had a red bomb bouncing on my head (a spaceship bomb). The game was nice, the only thing that I didn't liked too much is that to win you had to forgot about the bombs and the surface and rush up to kill the spaceship. I would have preferred a mechanic a bit more like "space invaders" in which you can see the spaceship and you have to create something to protect the surface and climb up at the same time. Overall was a nice and funny game to mess around with :-)

Confusing to start (understandable when you put so much effort into polish, not a tutorial) but fun! Wish there was a bit more variety in the gameplay, I can see how it could be extended!
