Great job for your first game! I see you are using Unity, so I can give you a few pointers. First, change the canvas scaling mode from "constant pixel size" to "scale with screen size" so that your menu takes up most of the screen. Next, get rid of the UI that follows the player, it is distracting. Finally, when I dash I can go through walls, so in your movement script, instead of using transform.position to move your player either use Rigidbody.AddForce or set the rigidbody's velocity, or use Rigidbody.MovePosition I might seem like I'm being overly critical, but I just want to help you :) Feel free to rate my submission as well :)

It takes a little time to get to know the controls and use them correctly, might be only me :) Game is fun and simple, well done guys!

@n8dev Thank you so much, we will keep that in mind for next time. For the dash mechanic we did use AddForce and even tried using a forloop of smaller forces and even tried adding velocity but thank you for the suggestion!

@Tryston in that case, increase the edge radius of the walls' colliders, and change the player rigidbody collision detection to continuous.
Nice platformer. Did not quite get the loop reference, but enjoyed playing it :)

Most people say it's impossible to be perfect. The people who say that are the same people who haven't played Wyle's Loop. This game has to be the greatest game of all time. Now, you may be thinking "oh, this review must be a joke", but this really isn't. There are so many things that this game has done for me, I can't even put into words how amazing this is. But, in this review, I will attempt to. Wyle's Loop has brought me through so many hard times, and helped me sustain relationships with close friends and families. It has inspired me throughout my lifetime and without it, I wouldn't have accomplished half of the things that i've ever done. It hasn't just helped me as a person and in real life, it has provided me endless hours of entertainment and continues to, to this day. Every single aspect of this game is perfect. It has an incredible story, god-like mechanics, in-depth lore, easter eggs, graphics and so much more. I'd honestly recommend this not only people who play videogames, but also to anyone who likes to watch movies, or read books, or any aspiring authors. This is a game not done right, but done perfect. I would like to personally thank the developers of this game for blessing me and any other lucky person who plays Wyle's Loop for allowing us to embark on such a intense, captivating journey. Play this game right now.
Nice little platformer where you have to change your approach every time you reach to the end. For me the controls became a bit annoying after a while as the character tried to wall jump every time I was jumping somewhere. Nonetheless good job! :)
the movements kind of choppy but otherwise it's a pretty good.
I like the idea of having these different abilities and slowly reducing them. But I agree to the others who said the the movement mechanics are a bit fiddly. Would have loved to have occasions to fight monsters.
The controls were not easy for me to get comfortable with but it is a nice entry. Maybe a two hand keyboard control scheme would have been better.
Dash is good to play, but enemies is bit challenging for me ! Thanks for the game, please rate ours too !
I really like the main idea of reducing the amount of abilities you have each loop. I think you should expand on that idea and create a full polished game!
Nice game! Controls were a little fiddly and I stuck to walls more than I meant to, but I really like the challenge of repeating the level with fewer and fewer abilities.
Really nice retro style! And so clever use of the theme! Congrats, keep the good work!1.png

clever use of abilities, I felt like the signs weren't needed and actually removed the exploration of the level and use of the powerups. I did play all the way to the real end, nice work

It is a game with potential. The jumping forms and interactions with the ground and wall are very interesting. The controls look very functional. The graphics are simple and the sound is ok. If you want to expand on that idea, maybe you could consider refining the game a little bit. But in summary, my experience was good. Congratulations.
