Reminded me of that japanese arcade game where you have to flip a table to cause maximum destruction. I like the flying space tables. Quite fun :)

This was super fun and a great idea. very satisfying once you get the hang of it!
Love it, congrats on this amazing compo entry!
The game is fun and challenging. What can I say... I just love smashing things.
If I had to give feedback on something it would be the death screen. The sudden flash to bright red is quite heavy on the eyes, but that could also be because of me staring at my screen for so long :D
dope game! wish the table punch range was more forgiving but other than that it was pretty fun. Reminds me of the coin mechanic in Ultrakill.
Tables & Tremors 2021-10-03 8_19_16 PM.png
@3amsoda Thanks a lot, I was watching a bunch of ultrakill videos while I was making it, so I guess I just had it in mind
@swen I thought the same, but honestly I had the same thought that it was just me staring at the screen for to long XD
Really fun game. Pretty challenging though; I'm not that great at FPS and on certain levels it feels like I tackle a table but it doesn't hit. I figured out though that you need to "shoot" the tables when the crosshair turns into a circle.
really fun game and nice graphics too
That's awesome! Really neat concept. Slamming tables out of my way is my new hobby!
Love the graphics. It was extra challenging as I am one of those FPS players that like inverted controls...so that would be my one critic is to add that option. Great entry.
This was crazy. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. I agree it was pretty unforgiving, but overall, it's a well put-together compo entry. I dig little things like the chairs off in the distance and the sound effect as a table falls into the ether
@paroxysmal Thanks for the feedback, if I decide to update it post-jam I'll make to add an invert option
Omg that was insanely sweet and juice! Congratulations for this very solid entry!
Awesome Concept, really had fun playing it. Feels super polished.
Fun concept! Really cute, cohesive aesthetic. Found myself wanting a sensitivity slider as it was way too high for my liking, but I made it all the way through! I had fun :) Nice work!
Really nice art, simple concept but it plays really well. Game acts kinda weird if you spam the space bar? Anyway, great job :3 I rarely like 3D ludum dare games but this one was great.
edit: I think the music could be a bit louder? I like it but tbh I didn't even notice there was music until I was in the middle of writing this review lol
Took a second to figure out, but once it clicked felt incredibly fluid smashing around. A little glitchy-ness when inputs are triggered too quickly back to back.
Destroying the tables was very satisfying! I couldn't figure out how to get around the red wall of death in level #4.
Got lots of crazy fun, thank you! That's the jam game I want. Graphics are pretty polished and unique. Sounds are just comfortable.
s1.png I tried my best, and stopped here temporarily. I'm not good at FPS.
So strange I love it.
Really well made game, controls behave exactly how you'd want them to! See if you can beat my times :)
better.PNG
The most fun game i've played
Thanks everyone for the feedback :D
@corbeng Yeah I'm sorry about the sensitivity, I'd set it up so I could implement a slider, but I just didn't have the time to make a menu for it
@nethead Yeah I thought about putting a cooldown timer on the space bar, but I figured it doesn't really break the game or anything, it was just a bit strange so it was a low priority. Also, the musics really quiet because it got really annoying when I was testing, so I just kept lowering the volume
@recessive Damn! Those times are so good, you managed to finish the tutorial in under a second?!
Just loved it, love the graphics with a mix of 2d pixel and 3d. Congratz dude
Amazing game, the graphics are the perfect balance between 3d mixed with 2d elements. Well done!
Wasnt good enough to finish the game, but it was fun! :D
Super fun game! I liked the fluid controls that felt snappy. Cool artwork and style! Should rate highly. Great work!
So good! simple concept, feels great, satisfying to master. Really clean package. Now it just needs strafe jumping ;P
Great work, cool to see a 3D on such a short jam as this!
Perfect length! Really lets you get into a rhythm and satisfying to boot! Great work!
This was a lot of fun. The punching works kind of like a Celeste air dash, and the tables are the little green crystals that replenish it midair. The controls are spot on, and the punching and ground pound moves are snappy and responsive. I'm all about the pixelated boxing gloves. Really well done.
This was quite fun. The art style and visuals are simple but quite pleasing. Well done!
This one looks fun and the art looks awesome, but I can't really play it since the controls are confusing? I thought maybe a key was stuck on my keyboard because it runs off the platform in <3 seconds every single time even when not doing anything. Am I missing something?
Graphics ? Cool. Audio ? Fits perfectly. Gameplay ? I N C R E D I B L E. The little feedback with the hands turning white when you can't dash is really cool! Really well done there, i loved it. (Thanks for the last level with all the tables, it was truly satisfying)
Thank you @fabernull @jonah-srg @bewelge @elastic @ivysly @haydads @erikengineengineer @kewdev @dekajoo for your kind words
@sawdust I haven't been having this problem, so I don't really know what I can do about it, I'm sorry you weren't able to properly play it. I can have a look into it though, thanks for letting me know
@florianbald I was wondering when someone would mention the last level :D One of my friends said it'd be fun to have a level with just tons of tables, so I put it in only if you beat the final proper level (the one with tons of tables is not in the level select screen). Thanks for playing my game, I'm glad you liked it
Cool mechanic but I can't get pass 4 level ;( , I wish I could
@vishwah If you go reload the game it'll come up with a level select screen and you can just skip level 4 if you'd like
Amazing. Just amazing. The art is AMAZING, and the game is really juicy! Great job for doing this in such a short amount of time.
Really proud that you managed to finish <3
Great fun and simple mechanics, a load of levels makes this an impressive entry!
Really fun game! Feels like an easy to learn, hard to master game that I could find myself spending hours trying to get the fastest times.
Super cool platformer with a unique mechanic to reset your punch. Love it!
very cool game. I really have fun with it. Amazing graphics. and speedrun elements.
Very cool! I love the first person perspective with the giant fists. Took a little bit of time at the beginning to figure out the mechanics, but like others mentioned the feel of the dash and ground pounds is really satisfying. The music is simple, but effective. Nicely done!
This was really weird, but extremely fun! XD Hitting those tables was really satisfying, and it was a very interesting movement mechanic. For me the camera sensitivity was a bit high, which made it very hard to aim at tables in the air. But it might also be just me being bad at 3D shooters XD
I loved the creativity of this! Amazing job! :D
I love this game so much. Nice animation (these hands look so good) and concept. If feels very polished. It was just sometimes very hard to aim at the tables mid air and the camera moves too quickly for my liking, but still amazing entry ^^
What an original concept! It was a bit hard to figure out how the main mechanics worked. i really like the art. It was a lot of fun!
I couldn't pass the 2nd level. hahaha But never saw anything like this before. Nice job
The mechanics on this are incredible, great work! The death screen/flash could use some work and I found the flying tables a bit hard to see in some levels, but overall I loved this!
This is super awesome, love the graphics having both 2d and 3d elements! I also like the nice puzzling set of levels. Really great stuff
Boy, I am bad. But it's excellent. I like the hands, I like the dithering. Feels good, moves cleanly if hard. Very cool.
This was a really amazing game. I love the combo punches between benchs. Took me a hot min to understand how to play properly but once I worked it out it was a really fun puzzle
Great look and feel and I did get the first couple of levels. I am not sure if I should use the table to make a double jump over the red obstacle in a later level, if thats the case I was to lazy to do it if not I did not get how I should do it. Anyway great work
Interesting choice of mechanics and intriguing artstyle! While struggling at first, I eventually got the hang of it. Amazing how many levels you managed to include! Also liked the difficulty being in the sweetspot! Thank you for your fantastic entry!
Nice art, nice gameplay and nice puzzles. I love it <3
Really fun concept! Dashing to tables to reset is a really cool mechanic. Nice job!
That was good fun once I figured out the mechanics. Never played anything like it.
Very unique idea! Had a great time playing through all the levels!
The sensitivity was a bit high for me, so maybe a sensitivity option would've been nice! Fun concept though!
@comfy @patsui @gabriel-chan @goldenevolution @lovor @kalevrk @solah @cabjhegas @spolarium @darthboseiju @adamjn @trexxak @nulldreams @kassanu @taffaz @staticbits Thank you all for your kind words, I really appreciate it :grin:
@wuppos Yeah I adjusted the mouse sensitivity a little bit during the submission hour but I don't think I lowered it enough, sorry if it's annoying
@zomk I had the same thing where it's hard to hit them, especially if they're coming from the cannons, maybe I should've made them a little bigger or something
@parttimeindie You can dash into the tables and break them and it'll bounce you up and reset your dash :D
@leyamez Yeah I didn't have enough time to implement it, I'll add it in if I update it post-jam
This is such an original and fun game congratz!
Very Intresting idea! nice gameplay
Nice challenging platform game, not a set of mechanics i have played before either.
Really nice game! Very original and challenging. Me being dumb, read the description afterword, and now the game makes a lot more sense, but you might want to consider adding a tutorial in game. Other than that, very nice job. It's the best table smashing game I know.
gameplay is super fun! the gameplay is simple once you learn it, but still requires a surprising amount of mastery, would play again!
Nice gameplay and really challenging.
Strange game but very interesting mechanic
Love the art style, took me a bit to get the hang of it, but very fun once I did
Oh this is excellent. You weren't kidding about the tables sometimes being quite small to click on haha, from my brief play I wonder if it would benefit from being a bit more lenient?
The sounds and graphics are pretty minimalist but manage exactly what they need to here.
This gave me some serious flashbacks to running Rocketjumping/surfing/demojumping maps in TF2, was there some inspiration from there?
cool game
Fantastic! Love the visuals and the concept! This needs a full release :)
was fun but i couldn't get past level 4 with the table flip :P
Got through about half the levels. Took me a while to figure out the nuances of the controls, that you can aim at tables that are flying around. Cool idea, and nice levels from what I played.
This was a really fun game, I love the concept. The mechanics were satisfying and the presentation was really unique. I love those animated hands.
I felt a bit like the high pace limited the potential (slightly) to have more creative / complex challenges as with the current settings, doing things like pivoting 180 and punching towards the stage is really hard in such a sparse environment, if only for the fact that you have to do it so quickly that there's not enough time / visual feedback to regain your bearings in time. I wonder if bringing the speed and distance of the punching and launching down a notch, with smaller levels, could have opened things up a bit.
This aside, I think the entry is really solid, and I love that you save the times to the level select screen. I immediately sent a screenshot of mine to my brother, as others have done here. It's a great addition to a great entry.
Absolutely solid of an entry, no less a compo! Gameplay wise it started off as deceptively simple, before the mastering of it was demanded on the last couple levels, and that I LOVE. I wasn't expecting to play super hard and to spend the next 15 minutes smashing tables and doing quick flick tricks during it felt awesome. The visuals I dig so much too and it feels really cohesive, definitely something I'd love to learn from sometime. 10/10 from me, even with some of the really hard portions in the last couple levels.Screenshot_5.png
the game works really well as a game and not just a gimmicky jam game. Can be a bit frustrating at first when not utilizing the slam efficiently but then it gets quickly addicting. I hope you give thoughts to continue working on it after!
**Hats off to you.**
The game is really fun I just couldnt figure out the long jump part I must be missing something lol its probably me tho. Probably the best game ive played today great work.
I had a really fun time with this game! It's the right amount of "get gud" to keep me motivated, but not too much to make me rage. Really lovely stuff!
Cool game, exactly the kind of idea I've come to love from Ludum Dare games. The sounds are lovely and both actions feel very satisfying to use.
Really fun concept and art! Great job for a compo game =D
The graphics were super polished and the controls were difficult but rewarding. Nice work! :)
I even cannot pass level 3!!! :(
Very cool game. I just can't jump far enough to pass the last level.
Nice work, I really liked the artstyle and mechanics.
Genuinely love this entry. Such a simple, polished idea that feels great to play. I'd sure feel uns-TABLE if this didn't take the top slot!
Interesting take on the theme/table mechanic but player movement is smooth and gameplay is solid.
One of my favourite entries. Very polished, great sound, great visuals, a joy to play, and even a records screen to compare in the comments. This is going to do very well
Best game of the JAM so far!Screenshot 2021-10-05 003106.png
@arifacid @terabyte @fizzget @juniora @almagor @forik @nefylem @rbeattie @peterfiftyfour @mechanizedit @energizedblast @anstabo @gale-swift @henriquecanella @boon @thegamerasd @quite-good @beats @rustywolf @benmcnelly Thank you SO much for all of your kind words, this was really nice to wake up to :D I'm going to make sure I play all of your games too, although I need to leave for work in half-an-hour so I might not be able to get them all done until I get back home
@teenythanos I'm a huge dark souls fan, so I guess that's moulded my git gud mentality
@aderpychickenstudios @giraffalope Yeah, I put that level in as kind of a road block so you'd have to learn the mechanic of bouncing off of tables mid-air to get through, because all the levels after that use that mechanic
@khaoz-fang Yeah the last level is pretty tough, I threw it in to try and test your skills with every mechanic in the game at once
@adamcyounis Thanks a lot for playing my game, I'm a big fan of your youtube videos. All of the pixel art was done in aseprite, which I learnt using your tutorials :D Also thank you for the feedback, I originally had it that you'd jump and dash even further but I toned it down a bit, maybe not enough
A very nice concept. The concept is so simple, but it's executed so well, it's a really fun experience. Very addictive. Nice work!
Thank you @icedjam :D
@mathemagician I've never actually played TF2 which I know may be a sin, but I've played a lot of games with similar mechanics like overwatch and paladins and stuff
oh this game feels so good and satisfying i love it !
I really enjoyed simplicity in game mechanics. Graphics were also amazing. Good work!
Quite a cool concept, nice mechanics and matching sound design. Unfortunately I just couldn't get the hang of it haha, but that's just cause I suck.
A little awkward at first, but I really think you have grounds here for a super awesome game if you can smooth the learning curve a bit. Once I was launching stuff around and smashing tables mid air, it felt really cool. Similar to mirrors edge or something.
Great game! Nice take on the theme. This graphics are good, such a smooth hand animation. Controls started to get too fast for me (camera turning) and I couldn't land my shots properly.
Wow, such an incredible game. Looks and feels fantastic!! And found a way to blast through level 10 :D [Untitled.png](///raw/d39/22/z/46d6e.png)
Really good entry, graphics really good too and what about the gameplay, this is weird at launch but very good after learning how to play,I want to smash more table now !
The first-person pixel perspective hands looked great! Game had a really cool feel that fit the theme. Nice work.
This was really fun! Initially, I couldn't get a hang of it, but once I did, it clicked. Some levels were pretty frustrating, but in a good way. My reaction times aren't what they used to be, so maybe in a more polished build you could give difficulty options. I really liked the graphics. They felt very cohesive. The audio got a bit repetitive in my opinion. It doesn't take away from the game, but I feel it doesn't add to it either. All in all, a really fun twitch/movement game. Exploring these mechanics and adding to them would be really interesting. Great job!
Could really use a sensitivity slider. Other than that, really fun, and WOW there's a lot of levels... Playing the web version was really not an ideal experience (trying to flick around with low unstable framerate and that super high sensitivity...) Still, this is among my favorites!
Really satisfying and polished game to play. Had difficulty at the begging, but after that really enjoyed it
Now this is just some really good gameplay all around - simple but fun and very polished. Like some others, it took me a while to understand how to play but once I did I had a blast.
Really fun game with cool gameplay. It was a little hard at first but after that it was really fun
hahahah loved it, although I am a bit dumb to play these quick reaction games. 1st level took me several tries, then the second was a bit faster, then I got the hang of it :P
Wow... there's a LOT of comments on this ... congrats on the entry  I had difficulties getting between the platforms. But I liked the idea and it seemed rather polished.
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Fun once you get the hang of it! I got stuck at the level with a single table a giant leap, couldn't figure out how to get enough momentum. Also didn't really understand the slam mechanic.
The FPS punching concept is always fun to see
Super fun game! Loved the sound effects :D
Great idea, great execution! Not so much 3d games in compo that polished!
It took me a while to understand how to play it though. I think it's kind of misleading that you can complete first few levels without actually punching tables mid-air which is the point of the game. Maybe I missed something.
Anyways later I really enjoyed it: it looks good, has some nice sound effects and good difficulty progression. Nicely done!
Nice game! The sound is nice, the learning curve and player feedback is also very nice :)
Just platformer with inconvinient movement. Nothing new.
Синие перчатки, коричневые столы. Классика. Осталось разбить столы и снять перчатки. И уйти в портал. Спасибо за игру!
Really solid gameplay, I wasn't fully sold on it until I realized you could punch tables mid air for an extra jump. Added an extra dimension of play to the game
Amazing concept!! Would love to see a fully fleshed out game from this! Absolutely insane you created this in such a short time
Very fun and unique parkour-like concept with tables flying everywhere! Awesome job! :)
Really nice gameplay, however I had to check to comment to figure out you had to target the table with the red reticle (as all the early levels can be completed without the tables). I really like the FPS-with-2D-sprites aesthetic.
I wanted to beat the shops for a long time, thanks!) cool graphics and sounds
Very good job! I liked the graphics, the sounds and especially the unique gameplay of the game. It's a lot of fun to think of strategies to get to the portal and complete the level.
It sure is a unique game! Congratulations.
I can't lie this is the most fun game I've played so far from Ludum Dare in general. Great job! I did have trouble with getting past level 10 no matter how hard I tried. That might just mean I need to get better. But a more forgiving table targeting might help. The reticle was fairly large so it did get hard to see the table after it flies away. I do love the graphics and the brief pause when doing a ground pound. There is a bug though (unless it's intended) where I can press the ground pound button repeatedly and spawn multiple iterations of particles. It doesn't seem to affect my computer, but it might be worth debugging for performance. All in all, great job!
really nice, kinda frustrating at times and I had to give up in the end. I really like the stylization, and nice spin on the theme!
Neat and well packaged game with a focused vision! Really cool entry and amazingly put together in 48hours! Art was good, sound was good, menus were good. Good all round! well done 👏👏
I love the quick turn-around time when you die, makes it soo much easier to do "just one more".
Also the game is really impressive for 48 hours, amazing work!
very tight game
this was a fun one! You say in your description that you're bad at level design, but I thought these were actually really well thought out in terms of progression, taking a simple mechanic and stretching it out. Great work!
Great game. Love the art style. The gameplay is a simple concept executed excellently, Difficulty ramps up nicely
Fun game, high difficulty and cool physics system. Good job!
Amazing job dude. The game is super addicting. It took a while until I understood the mechanics, but thanks to the clever level design it was intuitive to learn. I think the game should be a bit slower though, maybe a bit of a time delation in the air could help, especially where you have to aim at flying tables shot by the cannons. I tried hundres of times but I failed at the level where you have to climb multiple platforms and reach that portal at the very top, it would have helped if those tables would respawn, because I need kill myself and start over the whole level, which is a bit frustrating.
But overall, amazing job!
Very fun and challenging, and it's really addictive, but at first I didn't realise I could move other than dashing and ground pounding, so that caused me some trouble haha I think the Level 0 UI should've had that along with the mouse controls.
Not my style of gameplay loop, but it's presented exceptionally well. Love it.
Simple interaction, unlimited diversity in levels It's amazing
Incredibly fun and frustrating game, add a few more levels and sell it on steam. Also the mouse sensitivity was super high for me which made it hard to play, so if you plan on making a full release I suggest adding a settings menu for those things
Very difficult, and it took me a level or two before I full understood how the game worked, but my god is it a blast to play. Love how the levels are designed (especially once the cannons and red "thingies" get introduced)!
Ummmm. what can I say except WOW! Just some good ol fashion fun here. Difficult but I never once felt like it was unfair. Seriously 10/10 here and the mouth made sound effects are the icing on the cake here. One day I hope to play this in VR with motion controls so I can slam my hands down then take off like Superman.
A brilliant and original concept executed with the grace and polish you only experience once in a full moon in these game jams. The graphics are excellent, the gameplay is really good fun and everything just seems so well tuned. Some jam games have the potential to become a full game, but this one already feels like one. Hats off to you!
This game was so fun!!! I don't even know what else to say, I would LOVE to see this turned into a full game! The movement mechanic was super satisfying while still being really hard. Amazing!
@potkirland @kodepo @saurabh @cosmonautical @coderaurus @flywolfe @nebrazif @skyward4d @kukurammus @dezom @hobzone @rzfmzn @purpledartfrog @vetche-studio @biku @xpoho @wertyyytrew @becky-rayner @ludokultur @cituchi @vphyre @his-games @curleysam @kimbsy @gat @fear-games @adriankrawczyk @michael-faragher @cloudlunar @uglyswedishfish
I'm honestly so sorry to lump you all together like but I just wanted to thank you for your kind words, I worked really hard on this game and it was really nice to come back from work to these.
@zahab-aq Difficulty options is a good idea, something like Celeste's assist mode comes to mind. Also yeah I found the music sooooo repetitive too, that's why it's so quiet.
@mrchip @tomer-cool Yeah agreed on adding a sensitivity slider, honestly really needed
@jakier Once you launch the table into the air you can dash off of it to bounce up and gain an extra dash
@caudatecoder Yeah my friend said the same thing, I figured it'd be good to get the player used to the dash and ground pound before requiring them to bounce off of the table, but I agree it is a bit confusing
@spawnie Yeah I probably should've put some sort of prompt on the first level that requires jumping off of the table
@queenofsquiggles Yeah I found that bug on my first day of coding, but I thought it was funny and it didn't really break anything on my computer at least, so I left it in lol
@wakka2 Some other people have said it should be a bit slower, I think if I make a post-jam version I'll try out some more values for the gravity, jump height, dash speed, distance etc.
@driagonv I only added the level 0 UI there is at the last moment in the last few hours, so I kinda ran out of time for it but I will do in a post jam version.
@pat-cleaver Thanks a lot that's nice to hear, the point of this jam for me was mainly to get to grips with making levels since I always make arcade games
@coryru Honestly I think a VR version of this would be AWESOME, we do a lot of VR stuff where I work so I'm kinda tempted to give it a go
Thank you so much for your comments @eyedromeda @axlplosion It's really nice to hear this kind of feedback
@slimmerburger VR do it!!!
Great job! Somehow, even with how hard it was, I managed to beat it in just a few minutes! For being so hard it was also extremely fun and the ding sound when you made it to the end of the level was rewarding! ;)
Hey! This was seriously awesome! My first question is (as a joke but seriously at the same time): what kind of mouse are you using? Even with my G502 I was struggling with the air movement.
I found that air strafing was the way to go for me. I realized that you can move with WASD only on the 3rd level or so (I suck at reading tutorial text, sorry ), but still managed to get these scores:
2021-10-05 21_44_40-Window.png
The mechanics are tight! As mouse sensitivity was mentioned already multiple times, I've nothing to add.
The tables flying into the air were really fun to interact with, I would add many more tables, it was great fun to destroy them. This is a safe space to break desks.
Kudos! I'd love to see your stuff in the next jams!
Man this is great. I feel like a way to communicate the actual range of your dash would be a must for a post-ld version.
I love the 2d/3d art! s2
Yeah, like others say, the combination between 3d and 2d fits well. Well done guys!!
Really nice mechanics well done! It seems it is possible to fall of if you ground pound too close to an edge tho?
feels really satisfying to play! good work on your game!
This game is crazy fun. Hard to believe this was made in Compo. Amazing job!
Also, I beat every map in under 4 seconds :v: speedrun strats are strong :sunglasses:
TTSpeedrunTimes.png
*edit with improved times (addicting game lol)
The idea is great! Only gripe that keeps me from wanting to play more is how finicky the aiming is, would love a bit more leeway on that to make some of the very tight jumps a bit more managable. Other than that an awesome entry!
@sephowepho @dagon @adrian-guevara @nightlight00 @poweranze Thank you so much for playing my game and giving me your feedback!
@sprotex I think it might be that I'm bad at writing tutorial text ngl
@itsmebutsolo I think that's a great idea, but I have no clue how to visualize it
@shaggy Yeah I noticed that, I thought I was just being bad, I think I need to make the players collision capsule a little thicker
@tastiham Honestly, I'm absolutely shocked!!! How did you manage to get such good times, specifically how did you manage to finish the last level so quickly?!
@slimmerburger The last level was actually fairly simple, just well timed dashes and tight slams on each platform. The real tricky one was the sub 3 seconds time on level 9, you can skip the entire level by immediately slamming twice and aiming through the last platform at the peak of the jump
Really satisfying platformer to figure out and try to improve your times on. The visuals and music are really cool too. Amazing work with this!
Nice Game! was a bit difficult but it had nice visuals and it had a fun mechanic, Great Job!
Fun but challenging! Very cool mechanic done well. Nice job!
Great mechanic! Embarrassed to say it took me multiple levels to realize that the tables were meant to be used that way. I was just thinking "oh these tables are just hanging around, interesting" lol. If I had one piece of feedback it'd be that the death grunt sound got a bit tiring after a while, but maybe that says more about me dying too much. Loved the art as well, the glove animations were fantastic, and the background had a great dithered look that was much more interesting than some flat textures. Also, don't be hard on your level design skills! I thought it ramped up quite well.
What an amazing idea! Super innovative game and really enjoyable. I played the whole way through. Great job!
Insanely fun movement mechanic!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the progression of getting the hang of it, the level that keep you in the air for quite some time were my favorite!
Finished it but I'd be lying if a few of the later levels didn't frustrate me a bit haha. The mechanics themselves were fun, sounds and visuals are nice. I liked the ethereal ambience provided by the endless void of tables. very cool entry and honestly I'd probably buy and play a more fleshed out version of this concept.
fffCapture.PNG
It's really fun! It took me a while to figure out how it worked. Although the game is very difficult, but let a person feel very cool XD
Really fun game I enjoyed the fact the control scheme had some variety on being able to use the mouse or keys. The music in the background suited the game a lot as well. Really enjoyed it good job
Awesome idea, really fun core loop with some solid sound design, unique art style, and addictive gameplay.
Not sure if it was just the web version but aiming felt a bit choppy sometimes, the mouse sensitivity is also quite high so I would have appreciated a sensitivity slider.
Overall a really nice, well polished game with a breakneck pace and entertaining premise.
Really fun game, great concept and good graphics. The game does get pretty hard after level 5, but still an amazing game!
Very fun!
The speed-running-style "best time" marker was enough to make me start a second play-through, but my second attempt stopped half-way through. The game was definitely fun enough to make me power through those last few tricky levels once, but they were hard enough to not make me want to bother beating them a second time.
Really fun game, great idea with the mechanics. I couldn't get past level 6. The cam is a little bit sensitive, but other than that nice execution.
Well, at first I didn't understand the mechanics, I really had to spend a little time to understand how it works. But the game turned out to be very exciting. This game perfect for speedrunning
Fun game, would recommend
Exciting and fluid
I really like the mechanics but I think I would need to have the game slowed down by like 20% to be able to play it :D The hand sprites are super cool!
Good stuff, except for level 10, that one took me the most tries.
Cool game! I reported this not working for me a couple of days ago, but after having trouble in some other games too I realized I was having a hardware issue, nothing wrong with your game! Sorry for any confusion.
Great game, but got too hard at lvl 10 ! This game could use a mouse look sensitivity slider in the settings ! This is quite satisfying and it's a cool skill based challenge. The tables does not stand out form the skybox / the other floating tables.
Small and cute =) I like it!
It's very difficult to get the controls of it, but at the end it turns really fun.
Cool concept and atmoshperic game. If u add some plot there in future it could bang!
Cool and fun game
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to actually control my character and beat the first level, but after that it was pretty straight forward. Good variety of levels, although I got stuck on the one where the platform was too far away. Overall though, great game!
So much fun! I love the concept and the aesthetic. nice simple mechanic that was executed perfectly. Fantastic entry!
maan! great gameplay! its most fun I have had in any game here!
Oh man this is by far one of my favourite games!! unknown.png
I love the design and it fits really well with the theme!! Took me a while to get a hang of it but once I did, I had tons of fun!! Overall a really great game :D
Nice Game
@zain @zackary-bazzle @mharring @mickyhc @flufftapes @magnusfurcifer @guinytime @elbidev @chewiecb @simo @squimmy @jose-bonilla @kenforest @enderswype @ascension @bqq @justaroom @d3w @jpatchz @michaelgamerus @arachnid56 @alks @sheol @vyacheslavign Thank you so much for playing my game and giving me feedback, I'm going to try and play as many of your games as I can :D but it's taking quite a while to get through them
@jharler on the one where the platform is too far away you have to bounce off of the table to get over, dashing into a table resets your dash.
@iradchenua I've been trying to think up some plot since the jam, best I can think of is dude gets lost in Ikea, falls into table purgatory lol
@sawdust Ah I see, thank you for coming back and telling me, hope you sort out your hardware issue
@thegreenworm Yeah I thought the tables might not stand out from the background enough, I think I'll make the ones in the background a darker shade and the ones in the foreground lighter.
@dsoberdan Thanks a lot, glad you like my level design and animation, I agree the death sound might get a bit annoying, I could try randomizing the pitch and volume a bit to add some variety
I didn't get all the way through but I had fun. Took me some time to get what I had to do but after a while what is was meant to do, although I never got sufficient at it. I think the increment of challenge between levels is good, doesn't feel like there was any monumental increase between any levels (up to level 10, which is how far i got). However, I do feel like the mechanics of the game aren't introduced clearly enough. I had to scour the comments here and the description of the game to actually understand what I was meant to do. Despite that it is a really fun and innovative game with a unique style, good job! :D
This was a really unique, crazy, and fun take on a 3d platformer. It was very satisfying to punch tables lol. The red "death" screen was a little tough on my eyes but the overall feel of the game was great. The sound effects worked well and I think you have a potential expanded game here! I hope you keep working on it! Excellent job!
The game is interesting, I liked the effects, styles and animations. The idea is also good, but to be honest, this kind of gameplay is a little not for me. But overall, very good.
I finally beat it!
What a fresh and fun game, I really enjoyed the challenge! The art was minimalistic, but very clear, and the UI and audio helped make the rules understandable. At times, I felt the accuracy with which you have to click on the flying tables was a little unforgiving (I might have preferred a couple degrees of leeway), but it definitely feels good when you hit! Having floating tables all around the arena was a good decision to give visual reference as the player moves through space, though there was less visual reference higher up in the levels and while looking up/down. The persistent timer data is a great touch, and lends a lot of replayability to the levels. I found myself wanting to come back to ones I knew I could do better on.
This game is very well-made, and I really liked playing it!
I really love your art style combining a pixel art thing with an fps camera, I should try that in one of my games also you should make a post jam release and don't forget to add support for controllers.
awesome entry! only thing i would say is i wish the tables were bigger and moved slower. it was little tough for me to land dashes correctly.

Great boxing game with a retro 3D experience. I really enjoyed the imaginative design, as well as the subtleties of the aerial controls.
Strengths : - Very refined gameplay and level design - Cool graphics - You uncover so much depth and inventivity as you go through through the levels
Possible improvements : - Highly subjective, but having Space mapped to the punch caused by death more than once.
Excellent game !
Good implementation and concept! Not a bad atmosphere, I liked the graphics and music. Keep up the good work! Good job, guys
initially i found the mechanics a little confusing to be honest. When i got them, it was a fun ride. Good game
Cool mechanic! I love the animation of the hands. A lot of potential to expand on the idea.
Fun! Great concept. Sometimes it wasn't clear that I had hit a table so fell too far before realize the punch had been reset.
The mechanics is deeper than it looks. Maybe add some mechanics to let player know if the character is on the edge of the platform or not, otherwise it is really easy to fall.
nice game! i like the style and concept a lot, but for a parkour game i feel like the FOV is way too low :(
I finished game! Can't believe this was made in only two days! You are so creative think about this right after seeing the theme and turn into a game. Nicely done! clear.png
Damn I loved this game, the two fists were so cleanly animated it was unreal, must be rotoscoped? Great job, real contender for best overall game !!! No critique from me
Cool mechanics!
Great mechanic presented, nice touch to the jam, the best innovative game seem so far, keep with the great job! But i would like to see further improvements on a post jam as well, maybe a growth in the tables hitboxes? I dunno, maybe the pacing of the "hit or miss" the punch could be more intuitive.
Good game!
Feels too hard for me :C
Cool game! Love that thing about raging and just crushing everython around xD
Simple mechanics, but good enough. Funny sfx.
@muros @pnikav @andresbochi @shawn-beck @dinwy @remn @bobi505 Thank you so much for playing and commenting!!
@osh-studio Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. The hands are kinda rotoscoped, I made fist models in blender and then rendered them as pixel art and went over them in aseprite and added outlines and stuffs
@6smith I can add a FOV slider post-jam if you want that, shouldn't be too hard
@jackiex9527 I thought about doing something for that like how your hands turn white when you can't dash, but I didn't have time to implement it
@mitjmcc Thank you for the feedback, I think I've already got a solution for this in my head, so I should fix it in post-jam
@jlv Having space mapped to ground pound seemed like a good idea at the time, since it bounces you up when your on land, but I get thank it shoots you straight down when your not above land, so I'll probably change it.
@omarmobadr I think it might already work for controllers? I can't test it, my controllers broken at the moment
@zachsbutt @lucas-viana @subcreation Thank you for all the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm definitely planning on increasing the size of the tables' hitboxes
@dj-depressive Yeah from all of the comments, I agree the mechanics aren't explained clearly enough, when making it I just assumed everyone would understand from the change in reticle and the one level where you can't make the jump without dashing into the table, but thank you for the feedback
@pixelydian Thank you for your kind words, I'll definitely make sure to change the death screen a bit in a post-jam version
@osh-studio Here's what they look like if you're interested, I would usually rig a hand and make the fist that way, but I was low on time and I thought it'd look better if I modelled the fist straight up
Capture2.PNG
I loved the contrast between the low res pixel hands and blocky, barely textured environment. The player's grunts sounded a lot like the old Serious Sam games, almost to a confusing amount
Couldn't get past the second level, though. I'm not much of an FPS player so maybe it was just me having trouble comprehending my surroundings, but I kept ground pounding straight into the void when trying to jump and running all the way out of platforms when landing. I think adding some coyote time would've definitely helped me, as I was just pressing jump way too late when trying to jump from a platform while running.
Liked the mechanics and vibes of the game though, so definitely wished I was able to play it further
If the controls could have been a little slower then this game would have been the best. Its my only complaint. Music is great, gameplay is fun.
Awesome entry! Overall it was a lot of fun, but to be honest I think the controls could be tightened up. It seemed pretty hard to traverse the levels not because the design made it hard, but because the controls made it hard to do what I wanted to do.
It took a few levels for it to fully click but once it did, I started to have a lot of fun! The game definitely has a good difficulty curve and zooming through a level after you understand the mechanics feels incredibly rewarding. I personally got stuck on the level where a table is being shot vertically and you need to dash to it, but the times that I did manage to get up to the next platform always felt good. Great job!
Nice concept and execution, good take on this type of platformers, by the look of it and the other players feedback, I think you have something good in your gloves... sorry hands.
What a cool concept. Executed very well. The levels 10-12 felt amazing once I figured them out but were really hard. This game is really fun!
Wow great concept! I thought this had a good difficulty to it and the levels allowed you to learn as you went. The restart button was also super useful in keeping the action going. Awesome Job!
Super cool. I always love the mixing of 2D and 3D assets. Pretty difficult as well.
Really cool game. Liked everything about it :D
Nice Work . I like the game control run very smooth . I little hard to play for me . I died a few times before i was able to jump on the first far platform but i made it. Awesome job :)
Geez! my hands are sweaty.. Very smooth parkour game for a compo entry. I would be nice to see a speedrun of this game :D well done.
What a brilliant concept, super fun to play. It doesn't quite have the polish it deserves (obviously, since it's a game jam entry) so you should really consider making this a full game! I think I would have preferred if the platforms were bigger and if you stayed in the air longer. Regardless, it's a blast.
As for the presentation: Art was good (especially the hands, really clean animation), but the music was a bit dull (a nice boppin' track would have elevated the experience even further).
Cool game! I liked the concept and sending tables flying is always good fun. The art for the hands was nice and it was a good take on the theme. The mix of 2D and 3D art/levels was nicely done. The levels ramp up nicely and the core game is really fun. Good job!
I really like it but its just too hard for me 😅 Also i LOVE that artstyle
This is a really fun concept-it reminds a lot of *SEUM* in how it plays out, with platforming mechanics in short speedrun-designed levels. The art style with a mix of 2D and 3D is a unique one that stands out in the game jam, and while the soundscape is simplistic, it is effective. I could see this working as a full title (especially due to the experience and success of *SEUM*). Great work!
I loved the art style and it's a very good game, awesome job!
Extremely well made, a bit too hard for me to invest much time into but it deserves recognition nonetheless.
This is a great bout of fun. I had a few issues with levels that involved staying midair, as when you hit a table midair, you immediately have to swing your mouse around to dash towards the next spot and I often ended up overshooting it. I think this could be helped a little bit if there were just some sort of small cool down.
The concept is suepr clean! The smallt argets and cazy mouse sensitivity are killing me tho. Once the wackyness was too hugh (climb by punching tabels withotu touching ground) I gave up. All the visuals are super fun and the audio is very charming too. The pixels in 3D make everything look suepr consistent.
Well made game! I'm absolutely terrible at it but had a lot of fun. Great job!
By far the best game I've played during this gamejam, absolutely well done! Once you figure out the in-air controls your game is pure fun, at least for me. It offers a constantly increasing challenge but with working mechanics and feedback that feel like the outcome of a level is always in my hands. Great stuff, really nice work!
Edit: By the way, you seem to really undervalue your level design. I think they are really creative and fun!
Awesome game, really beautiful, fun and satisfying! Unfortunately I got stuck on the level with the double canons but yeah I really enjoyed it. it was a novel and fun game concept.
Woah! absolutely awesome game!! I was very bad but this is a full finished release and it plays like one. Thanks for the awesome submission!!
I love the fact that it is frist person . I like the movement and the jumping . I think you should add some graphics to the floors. Anyways the game is super fun and the difficulty scales pretty good . Great job mate !
I loved your take on the theme, it's very unique! The mouse was a little too fast for me, but I adjusted and managed to beat all the floors.
Insanely fun and unique game. I wish the hitbox on the tables was a bit larger, but at the same time the current difficulty makes it satisfying when you win.
Really well made! The moment you had to start chaining in air hits to move, shit got real interesting
Outstanding game! Very satisfying, great idea and you did a lot in the short time frame. Thanks for the experience.
Good work with 3D. I got stuck in level 6, but I'll keep trying haha. Lots of fun on this one. Congrats!
Super cool game and graphics! I think a jump button would have contributed positively to the game-feel as the dash tended to be a bit long. Either that or have the ground pound stop your momentum and push you to the ground for control. Impressive entry!!
It was so much fun!!! Triple table jump. Brilliant idea!
Really fun and funny game! I liked the hands-only FPS design :) Really impressive for a compo!!
Incredibly frustrating to play on a laptop trackpad, I still beat it with it because I got hooked so hard.
Great game. I like the graphics and it was fun to play. Awesome game! :)
Fun enjoyable game, boy did it take me a while to do some of those levels 😅
The game feel in this game is great! Had a lot of fun playing it! Just wish the hitboxes on the tables would be a bit larger :)
Really fun game, with interesting mechanics!
Amazing game! Really cool concept. Great job
Really great fun! The game controlled beautifully and each level felt fair and balanced, being able to restart RIGHT AWAY kept me very engaged throughout. I will say, I do think the sound was a bit of a missed opportunity, I would have appreciated more involved music and less repetitive sound effects--but from an art and design standpoint, I have no complaints. Excellent work!
I loved this - I love me some 3d platforming. The mechanics were really original! I did find it hard to aim at the tables - I am not great at 3d shooting, even with m&k, so I struggled quite a bit. Maybe a lock-on mechanic when your cursor is close to a table and you are in range, a la 3d sonic games? Still, i loved this one. Played great in the web browser too.
Awesome game! Had to lower my sensitivity quite a bit but then it was a lot of fun. The fast respawns really invite you to go for a speedrun.
Looks great, I may have missed something but I couldn't get the jumping on tables to work, they seemed to go too far away or something each time. I can see the work that went in to the mechanics and game feel, so other than me maybe not getting it nicely done!
That was fun, and the mechanic of throwing your own jump point somewhere to bounce off of is pretty fun, albeit hard to execute at times, would definitely be easier if the tables were always drawn with either strong outlines, or always brighter than the background, fast moving around its hard to track new tables mid air.
For some reason, level 10 tables just dont work and wont let me jump off of them, not even the crosshair highlights that the table is targetable. The other levels all worked fine.
Great entry! Such a great core concept! Much tables! I find the world design funny as hell :D
I like the fist animations! the idle and the punching loops are just adorable!
this sparked a local competition on our discord, love it!
my_records.png
There may be a bug with the high scores: When playing level 4 it updated the score for level 5.
Also another quite huge bug
The ground pound enables you to dash mid air (when spammed really fast). You can get veeery fast times with that...
lul.png
Really fun game and a creative idea. I also love the aesthetics! The one minor piece of criticism I have is that the dash animation is too fast - I found myself getting very disoriented when using it.
Overall, though, this is a fantastic entry! I'd love to see where you could take this in the future.
Wow!!! really awesome job :) This is so fun, and creative. The sound, the game play, the puzzles - all of it is so top notch. I really enjoyed this.
One minor note - the death screen definitely sells it but man, the red hurts the eyes after a bit. Maybe finding a way to desaturate the color, or, instead of solid red put it transparent over the background and blurr it out so that the player still gets the good transition but isn't without retinas. Additionally, the dash is a bit hard to get used to at first - maybe a zoom out effect to really sell the player that they are going fast but still lets them get relative frame of where they are in the world?
Otherwise, this is a well done game. Really really fun. nice job :)
@jnur @binaryprinciple @mactinite @grumpy-gecko @alexzoin @ytaha @intodarkness @cinar @ericfreeman @ibrahim-oezhan @oune @weirdybeardyman @jpgfg @iasonasgts @gustavb @hermitao @megalukes @xiyou @avi @quoc @daniel-spruill @sibi @svarttand @yotamco @robert-li Thank you so much everyone for you kind words and feedback.
I've made a plan for updating the game, although I'm going to wait until the rating period is over, because it'll defeat the point of the compo if a big portion of my game was made outside of the 48 hour period. I've gone through all of the comments and picked out stuff that I agree should be fixed about the game and I'm currently implementing them all as well as more levels and mechanics.
@hoeleboele Thank you, I plan on slowing it down a little when I next update it, although not too much since I like how fast it is.
@stefanie-leitch You can also use shift to dash and space to ground pound if you want. What control scheme would you recommend?
@shrillwhip @proxy-games I'm considering making a full game, although there are some parts of game-making that I'm pretty bad at like music, texturing and story, which I feel will hold me back a bit. This is the main reason there isn't any story and the musics not great in this game
@python-b5 @mig-moog I'm planning on fixing this by increasing the hit-stun when you hit a dash to give you more time to orient yourself, and then lowering the gravity a bit
@gurbx @jusw85 @sagan-rayner @raindrinker I've already added the sensitivity slider and increased the size of the hitboxes in my Unity project, as I said before at the top of this comment, I'll release the update with all this after the rating period is over
@lazzor Thank you so much for your kind words, I find level design really daunting so I only really make arcade games. For this game I pretty much thought of anything I thought could be fun then just ordered them by difficulty
@mascoll The ground pound already stops all of your horizontal movement and bounces you up off the ground a bit, so I thought it'd be more streamlined for that to work double-duty as a jump and ground pound
@nobleboy My god, that's impressive, I've tried playing it with a trackpad and I can't even get through it!
@zacharypinkham That's a good idea with the sound effects, in some of my other games I've randomized the pitch of the sounds a bit, so I'll probably do that with this game too
@pbg I appreciate the idea for adding a lock-on. Although I think part of the challenge is needing to aim properly on the tables, although I've increased the hitboxes so they're less fiddly to hit.
@chartle You need to dash into the tables when they fly far away, I would've added a tutorial explaining that a bit better if I had the time in the compo, although I've got a level design idea to make it more intuitive.
@liviuslycurgus @leon75 The level 10 tables are too far away to hit when they're at the peak of their trajectory, and you can't hit them from the platform, so you have to jump off the platform at the right time and hit them in midair. I'm definitely going to change this level a bit post-jam though.
@ryjcio There really isn't much world design  I pretty much just made a void full of tables and let you punch them, but thank you XD
@anton-florey That's so awesome that you've made it into a competition, that's exactly what I want from this game!! Also, thank you so much for mentioning this bug, seems I mixed up the time text for levels 4 & 5, I'll fix it when I update the game. Also I was hoping you could elaborate on the ground pound midair dash bug, you're supposed to be able to dash midair once after you've bounced up from a ground pound, but only once. I'm not sure if I've misunderstood the bug though. But I mean if it makes the speedruns faster I might just leave it in, I love it when speedruns include fun bugs.
@britt-henderson A lot of people have mentioned their eyes being burnt by the death screen  I'll lower the saturation and value of it a bit I think
@slimmerburger
regarding the dash bug: When using the ground pound move without any ground below, you would normally die. But when you dash right after using the pound, it cancells the pound and sends you flying forwards. One can repeat this to basically fly through the air. It is quite hard to excecute and control, so I would leave it in tbh :)
This is brilliant. Absolute banger of a game, the simplicity and execution of difficulty rising is stunning.
So good! You really nailed coming up with a fun game mechanic and building levels around that idea. The game is pretty hard but the level progression is well paced and it slowly teaches the user how to play.
Seeing as this game has the most ratings, obviously you did something right. The game is really great. Some games just feel good to play, and this is one of them. I wish you would go into more depth with the ground pound mechanic; level 10 was my personal favorite as I had to use the ground pound jump. Aim assist would be nice as the game is less about accuracy and more about timing/puzzle solving. The skybox got a bit jarring, especially on the climbing levels. And a small complaint, but those squashed textures on the sides of platforms bugs me. Overall, one of the best entries I've played!
Hope you get hired and add this mechanic to next doom games :D Very satysfying to play, sometimes a bit hard and requires super good tracking of the moving tables, I would love to have an option to have the aim a little bit more forgiving, so I could focus more on "how to do this" instead of trying to be an aimbot and failing to execute.
Very nice entry, impressive! I liked the difficulty progression a lot. The level with the arrow up and 4 cannons firing down was the hardest for me
Obligatory end screen screenshot: times.jpg
1634705849-Tables_&_Tremors_8mucs6Drml.png
That was super cool. I just wish it was easier to home onto tables and maybe a table indicator (much like a hit indicator) after a groundslam so that it would be easier to find and chain dash -> groundslam combos.
This is so cool ! The mechanics felt super polish ! Congratz ! I feel like it would be cool to have a small drop shadow It also felt odd to play a platformer without the ability to do a jump, many times i pressed the spacebar expecting to have even a small jump, but it's alright ! Well played !
