LD45 — Start with nothing

Cipher by TaqoShaq 2019-10-07T22:38:59Z

Absolutely genius to introduce mechanics with "show don't tell" like you guys did. Also fits really nicely with the theme as you start with no information on how to play but gradually figure it out. Graphics are outstanding and the puzzles are well thought out and the difficulty curve is well done as well. I can't come up with any negative criticism.

Soulful by aconfusedragon 2019-10-07T22:49:09Z

I love the aesthetics! The ghost is super cute and the game sounds really really good as well. I just get a good feeling inside when I play it. :)

LD46 — Keep it alive

Chocolate: The Fantastical Adventure of the Doggy Walk by Anizian Games 2020-04-21T08:37:37Z

Ok wow I love Chocolate. So cute! And I really like this game. I love how the music progresses as you get further into the game. And the music in general is really good, very moody. And the fact that there are milestones is great. Chocolate died in the caves and I thought I would have to go back to the beginning BUT we respawned in the caves! Thank you! Unfortunately Chocolate seems to get stuck a lot in the trees and stones. The graphics of the background and the world is simple, but overall the game is really cute.

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-21T08:58:55Z

Really clever. It's not often that real time and puzzle go together this well. Super polished animations and gameplay overall. Hard to find a fault with it to be honest.

MandaTrouble by mineiwik 2020-04-21T08:51:53Z

I love how this is like a regular tower defense game, except everything is open. You can put turrets wherever you want, the thing you're protecting moves around, and you have to walk around to get stuff... Very unique and addicting! And the graphics are super cute too. If I had one tip it would be to make it more obvious what is iron vs what is just stone.

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-22T08:49:59Z

Clickers usually dont play this well! Nicely balanced, and a fun theme too. Well done! Voice acting is a huge plus too in my book.

NOAS by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2020-04-21T07:28:30Z

I'm amazed you managed to make so much! I like the sound effects too, and the fact that you can pick which color you want to be is great.

Egg Drop by Bob174 2020-04-21T07:13:20Z

I adore the art style and I love all the details, such as the moving text after the end of a round. All the graphics in general look super clean. Controls also feel super responsive which I like, and I especially like how pressing down while in mid-air gets you down to the ground fast. Reminds me of Duck Game (which is a great thing!)

The Protective Samurai by Eulalia Porto Figueroba 2020-04-21T07:41:49Z

Music, sound effects and graphics are all top notch. I love the take on the theme and the general mood of the game. The octopus shall not take this cute cat!

The Consequences of Gardening by JMad 2020-04-21T17:47:09Z

Love the art! So detailed. And the dialogue is very well written and funny. Gert must grow.

ANICTO by WeAreDev 2020-04-21T08:23:38Z

Very cool take on the theme! I like the graphics too. Love the overall mood. It was sometimes a bit hard to find stones to make more fires with! But maybe I'm just bad at looking :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Colorful Memories by Ayxs 2020-10-06T08:05:16Z

Wow! I really love the music, it's so calming. The SFX also sounds really great. The idea of unlocking more colors is cool, it's super satisfying to see the whole world light up.

Electro-loop-tion by BoxedMeatRevolution 2020-10-06T08:20:29Z

Wow! I really love the art in this game, and the idea is quite cool and well executed. I was a little confused at first with the "time travel" back to previously placed lightning things.

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-06T08:25:06Z

Really cool game! I love the idea, and I like that you don't lose lives after getting hit but rather just lose some instruments. Makes it a lot less stressful. If I had a suggestion, it would be to be able to control the player with the mouse.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Vast Trivia Of The Void by JorgeGameDev 2021-04-27T16:57:53Z

This is fantastic. I found myself playing for well over an hour. Very well balanced too, you can really tell that the game was meticulously planned out in difficulty level and design. The questions were really fun too, and my one minor complaint is that some of the questions seemed a little too America-centric for my own (European) taste, haha. That said though, this is honestly polished enough that I would easily buy this game and play it with my friends, so I almost can't believe that I just got to play this for free.

Onigiri Mining Corporation by wasd 2021-04-27T09:04:28Z

I can't say that games make me actually laugh out loud a lot, but this one did. The text to speech and all the "meta-humor" was hilarious. Very slick looking UI, the sound effects were a pleasure to listen to as well. Although, it was a little hard to understand how to control the character at first. But a great game!

Deep-fry Deeper by Ithildin 2021-04-27T17:05:27Z

This is great. The sound effects that occur when you do well are so satisfying. Although you kind of have to play through the game once to learn how each mode works, I don't see that as a problem. It's short enough that playing multiple times is not an issue, and it's entertaining enough to want to play many times anyways.

shaftception by testudor 2021-04-27T09:11:57Z

It was a little confusing to play at first, I didn't figure out that you have to click shift+s until like 10 deaths. And the same for the 2nd WADS obstacle. But other than that, really nice. It felt great to speed up and break through obstacles. And adding checkpoints was a nice touch.

Meerkattika by eonarheim 2021-04-27T16:13:11Z

The snake is terrifying :D I love how the music and sounds come together, it makes it into a very fun and well executed game. One piece of small feedback would be in the very start of the game, it would be nice if the snake didn't start pursuing me until after I started moving, would make it less stressful to get started and you get some time to take everything in. But all in all a great game, well done.

Morning Shift by Iluvatar 2021-04-27T12:37:11Z

The art is very pretty. I love the color palette you picked. The game is is pretty short but I dont think that necessarily has to be a bad thing. A short and polished experience is better than something dragged out. Well done!

RAMnesia by 100th_Coin 2021-04-27T10:01:56Z

This is just a straight up fantastic game. When I finished the more difficult puzzles I really did get a huge sense of satisfaction. The mechanics are on point, level design is pretty much perfect. Not to mention the art, music and sound effects which are also outstanding. My one and only complaint is that there should be some kind of way to see the controls in game. It took me a long time to understand how to pick up stuff.

In any case this one of the most creative and well executed games I've played lately, game jam or not.

Oh no, I opened the door and there was a fish! by OursBleu 2021-04-27T10:35:31Z

Graphics look really cool, you guys did a great job to nail the underwater cave feeling. I like how you get a bunch of helpful tools, and a grappling hook is always fun ;).

Bunny Bunny Dig Dig by ZakAmana 2021-04-28T09:05:06Z

Not sure if I can say something that hasn't been said already, but this is great. The game design choices are on point. There is the "interesting choice" of choosing where to go when mining, like "do I go for a torch or this nice bunch of gems to the side", as well as the choice of what to upgrade, and the choice of "do I go back up the elevator or keep going"... That's what makes games interesting in my opinion, and this game nails it. Well done. The art, sounds and everything else is fantastic too of course.

Dig the Onion by Vivien Fargette 2021-04-27T09:01:38Z

I actually kind of like how everything gets blurred out, after a while I couldn't read the cards which was very realistic! Music was cute too. I only wish there was a little more depth to the gameplay, but still a fun game! great job :D

Tower Tower Defence Defence by IAmWave 2021-04-27T21:02:09Z

One of the coolest and most creative mechanics I've seen. I thought it was going to be really confusing to keep track of everything but it was actually very manageable. Great job

Deep Investigation by Dmitry Koblyk 2021-04-27T10:48:04Z

This was really funny. I love all the drawings, especially of the duck detectives. Pretty good length of the game too, doesn't overstay its welcome and a diverse enough gameplay to be interesting the whole time. The chill music and the ducks voice acting instantly makes it even better. The dialogue was pretty funny too. Well done!

Archeodillo by Rambar 2021-04-27T09:35:18Z

Fun take on theme! I will say I got stuck on one of the levels, maybe a way to restart on that level would be nice so you don't have to replay all the previous levels. But that said, the music was amazing, and the armadillo was pretty fun to roll around with. Really nice sprite artwork too.

Zepog by Archock34 2021-04-27T16:05:27Z

Nice game, even if it's not finished I like how serene it is. Very pretty pixel art, nice calm music and everything comes together to make a nice mood.

Squareroot mining by omnes ludos 2021-04-29T23:19:55Z

Nice game! Music is very cool, and I really like how it's more efficient to go back along your own root. My strategy was to collect a bunch of water and stuff when it was easy to dig and then just go straight down. I made it down to like depth 550 before giving up. My feedback would be that maybe it would be fun to have an ending so to speak, I wasn't sure if it was endless or not. Another thing that would be cool would be some kind of upgrades, maybe just temporarily dig faster or something to give the player some more goals to chase. But really well done, I enjoyed it.

Corporate Mole by JoeDev 2021-04-27T09:25:18Z

Absolutely fantastic. I almost can't believe you guys made this in such a short time. Graphics looked really good, but I did feel bad about killing the worms because they were kinda cute. Gameplay was also really fun and intuitive to get the hang of. I haven't really played stealth games all that much but this was a really good stealth game in my opinion. All in all, a really good short & sweet experience that you guys hopefully feel really proud of. Committing corporate espionage has never been this much fun before.

A Taste of the Past by Emily Pitcher 2021-04-27T17:30:45Z

Oh man. I'd like to just mention that all the art, music, the cooking minigames and voice acting are all incredible on their own. But I wasn't expecting to find such an emotional and beautiful end result when you put them all together. How the cooking aspect is woven into the story is really masterful.

In any case, at first when I started the game I thought, oh no, this is going to be a sad game isn't - I'm not ready for a sad game. I thought I wasn't going to cry but I did, several times. What a touching experience you have created.

Infernal Jam by HiddenTavern 2021-04-29T14:56:55Z

Lol, I love meta-experiences like this one. A little too relatable at times. I really liked the bug squashing when compiling haha.

LD49 — Unstable

ALL PLANED by Sirkovitch 2021-10-04T23:25:25Z

This is fantastic. The graphics are very good, so is the SFX. And the little creatures are so cute. I was so sad when some of them flew off my wing.

Clay Boy by davision 2021-10-04T23:08:32Z

This is the dark souls of the mario franchise.

No but seriously, this was really cool. Graphically very creative. The controls are pretty hard to learn but still pretty intuitive somehow.

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-05T10:03:50Z

Very very solid gameplay. Feels super smooth and intuitive to play right away. Overall very cool. I feel like the ropes were a little hard/clunky to use, maybe if their start position was always leaning towards the player you would be able to swing smoother. But that's just an idea, idk.

Rumble by BrothersT 2021-10-05T21:25:18Z

I absolutely love the aesthetics of this. I thought the gameplay would be stressful at first, and it is, but in a good way. Everything is just executed really well, the game sounds and feels great to play. It has a great tutorial for a jam game. Overall just really cool.

Jenga DESU ! by Kaiomoi 2021-10-04T22:54:56Z

I really really like the graphics, very cute. The music and sfx are great too. Gameplay was easy to understand as well. Overall, just a very good and polished game that you should feel proud of :)

Urban Llama Farmer by zerocomms 2021-10-04T22:36:39Z

Hilarious concept, I never thought I would be stacking llamas but here we are. Things like the camera moving up smoothly, and the color of the llamas changing while they are waiting to be stabilized are the small touches that really elevate the overall quality of the game. Well done!

UN's Table by Ekoxe 2021-10-04T22:29:12Z

@the-fazzo Thank you for playing! Making the voices was a lot of fun, glad you enjoyed it.

@windfall890 Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked it!

Wiggle Bird by SamDemaine 2021-10-04T22:26:09Z

Art style is on point and the gameplay is really really good. Level 6 is pretty hard though!

Swerve by IC Rainbow 2021-10-05T21:37:26Z

It took me a bit to understand how to play but once I did, I have to say that this is a very cool game all around. It's just really fun to try to play around with avoiding the planets and deciding when to use your items. The indicators of where other planets are was great. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to make it easier to see which direction the ship is facing.

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-05T09:52:34Z

Now this is just some really good gameplay all around - simple but fun and very polished. Like some others, it took me a while to understand how to play but once I did I had a blast.

In Search Of Water by Tom Stephenson 2021-10-05T21:12:08Z

I was legitimately terrified of that giant mosquito. Moving around felt amazing, I don't know how you managed to make animations and movement so smooth but it felt amazing to play. Would gladly buy this if you decided to release a longer version in the future. Idk, the general vibes and atmosphere was just really really good. My favorite entry that I have played so far.

No hands Dorifto by Gorypixels 2021-10-04T22:44:04Z

Surprisingly engaging and very hard! I'm a big fan of the dithery graphics.

Isle Of Pizza by teshimoto 2021-10-04T23:50:50Z

The dancing pizza guy is my spirit animal, he's so cool. Thanks adding some very cool ledge-climbing, it saved me. The graphics are overall very nice. The animations are fantastic.

Unstable Magic by DrSmey 2021-10-05T21:03:10Z

This is soooo polished! Very cool, the graphics are super smooth and pleasant to look at and the SFX feel like they are carefully caressing my eardrums. I also love how there is seemingly a pretty high skillcap to the game since you can change rotation. I thought the skeleton enemies were a little too difficult, but maybe I was just bad.

Boat History by etrealjunior 2021-10-07T19:55:40Z

I like it! The music paired with the chill art style makes for an enjoyable experience, and I quite liked the idea of using water to push around a boat. well done :)

Unstable Genius by Doc Kaos 2021-10-05T09:41:38Z

Very funny and a unique puzzling experience. I love the various voice acted sound effects!

What is Watt? by XOREAXEAX 2021-10-05T08:13:14Z

I now have a newfound respect for the energy suppliers out there. The sound design is on point, and the graphics are very stylish.

Was there an end condition or is it endless?

Eerie Erratic Expedition by Bloodbane 2021-10-05T11:51:58Z

I love the idea of a bullet hell where your attack patterns constantly change, and it's very well executed too. It was pretty hard but I don't see that as a bad thing necessarily.

Panelka's Fall! by Kyrylo Kalienich 2021-10-05T08:20:13Z

Very relaxing, and I love the sounds and music. The feeling of getting a new block perfectly on top of the old one is super satisfying. well done :)

Stonx! by Gastar 2021-10-04T22:20:11Z

Now I can lose money in a video game too! :D Very fun and pretty challenging. I like all the small details like the color coding of the type of stock in the news.

Slime Your Way Up by Haise 2021-10-06T10:07:48Z

Fun and challenging. I really like how it's kind of pinbally when you get a good launch and start bouncing around. The gameplay would be even better if there was some kind of indicator of which direction you will launch yourself in! Oh and the character is very cute!

LD52 — Harvest

They Come In Pieces by Cpt Slimers 2023-01-09T20:24:37Z

I enjoy the organ extraction process. The audio was sometimes a bit jarring, and sometimes I wasn't sure which was the organ I was after - so it took a bit of time to understand how everything worked, but once I did, it was soo satisfying actually extracting the correct organ and succeeding!

Boar'd'Hell by Blublu 2023-01-09T20:36:14Z

Great, unique idea! At first I thought it was quite easy but soon the variety of things happening on the screen means you really have to focus! The artstyle is also super tight, feels great to play!
