Nice game and good idea. The wrapping world goes well with the theme. I do love the world that is beeing more colorfull during progression. Thank you for your game

Nice game and good idea. The wrapping world goes well with the theme. I do love the world that is beeing more colorfull during progression. Thank you for your game
Nice for the theme, enjoyed the audio and graphics. Ended up having to play 2 times I managed to fall out of the world at the sweater.
I love the visuals and how it looks when you walk around. I also enjoy the symoblism and the mood in the game, with the colors and the sound. All in all I think it's a good game! It's not very "fun" in the typical sense, but it creates emotion (which is all we're striving for, eh?). Good job.
@shubart Thank you for playing! @zelif Glad you enjoyed it, mhhh that should not happen maybe we look into it! thanks 4 the heads up :v: @hansj Thanks you for the nice comment. This time we wanted to make more of a story based experience and try to do it justice.
The wrapping effect made me a bit sick, but the graphics were impressive. It was nice seeing the world come to life as you got to see the past.
Good game, well chosen soundtrack and cool sound inserts (like crying baby and a child).
Great job with the atmosphere
Wow! I really love the music, it's so calming. The SFX also sounds really great. The idea of unlocking more colors is cool, it's super satisfying to see the whole world light up.
Really enjoyed this. There was one time I fell through the world and I think it is at the point where the shader wraps the world back around because it nearly happened again. But has been one of the best ones for the theme so far and the fit of of all the graphics and audio set a really deep mood. Awesome job.
This is for sure an experience, the sound work is great and the idea fits the theme.
It is rather simple, and sometimes I felt overwhelmed by the post processing.
Very interesting indeed.
This was a really touching experience! The way in which the world gradually fills with colour accompanies the story brilliantly, and I especially enjoyed the piano score. I would also be interested to hear how you achieved the looping visual effect, which worked nicely and gave the whole game a hazy sort of feel - very well done!
@frozentape Thanks you for your feedback! The effect was achieved by using a shader which wraps objects downward the further they are from the camera (creating the tiny world effect). The GameObjects themselves do not change their position in the absolute space. Which makes a standard looping effect possible!
EDIT: I added the source code to the game page so you could check it out
@frozentape Thank you for the awesome comment. Our world consists of worldsegments (which contains the street, and two tiles to the side for detailing etc) Then @Ayxs did some magic with teleporting the world and the player and adding new segments to the horizon in front so it seems the world is infinite. And then using a shader which was made using this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qY85Hf90K68 we could give all the models and world the curve we needed to make it look nice and hide the spawning in of new world segments. @Ayxs could probably explain it better haha because he wrote the code for it XD
Ahhh @bredera @Axys thank you so much, very much appreciate your explanation  I shall certainly download the source code and have a poke around!!
The aesthetics and the mood are top notch, really enjoyed it, the music also fits great! Great entry overall, well done.
Really nice idea and great atmosphere that really conveys the emotions. I love how the color slowly comes back. Nice entry!
Nice idea. Not much gameplay, but as has been said previously, it conveys a lot of emotion and has a good atmosphere going. Thanks for the Linux build, it worked great :)
Nice game, i really love the mood. It's quite trippy if you turn the cam upside down because there are no limits :D
This game has such a mood... The music + graphics + story is well set up. Congratulations, quite impressing.
Impressed by the way the world build on the way you go, a really interesting effect. Interesting concept btw!!!
The light in the last chamber was a bit odd, some shadows does not works properly on linux, still thanks for the linux build!
oww and also! low poly world are really cool imho!
I loved the experience! The graphical atmosphere (shader, blur, colors, world curve...) is very well made. The music adds nicely to the mood, and it's perfectly in the theme.
this really have some great atmosphere. also loved lowpoly graphic- maybe i'd do little bigger upper branches of a trees? also this vhs/diffractions are really on point
The atmosphere of this game is a whole different ticket, I felt everything in the game... and then I enjoyed the colorful world.
The 3d morphing effect of the world was amazing, really good game.
A lovely idea, and an emotional experience. The impact of the final memory could have worked better if it wasn't expected. The game description kind of hints at this. The choice of music and the environmental sounds worked well. The ambiences, though, should have been faded in and out as you enter and leave the relevant areas: they start and end abruptly, resulting in clicks in the audio. Changing small details about the 3D models you reuse could help add variety to the game world, too. For example, the slides could be different colours, etc. I enjoyed the calm and ease of the gameplay, and it nurtures the right frame of mind to be emotionally impact of the memories. It seems, since you opted out of the audio category, that you did not make the music yourselves, but it would have been a great touch if the music practice melody fitted with the game's underscore (in the same key, in time with the rhythm, etc). This would really enhance the emotional impact of that scene. Thanks for making this, I enjoyed the experience.
I really enjoyed the game. Unfortunately, I don't have much to say since the game was good overall. I would have slowed down the walk speed or reduced the FOV. I felt like playing DOOM on the first steps.
A solid entry ! Congratulations on making it to the LD47 ! :)
PS : Will someone kill that damn owl ?
Gotta say the spherical shader is pretty neat
Good job making this game! The choice of colors, level design, & music manage to convey a highly nostalgic feeling. Though not directly related to the story in the game, it had me reflect a bit on my own experiences.
It's possible that I'm just heartless, but it felt a little too over the top sappy for me. I did, however, adore the visuals. The progression of color and that vaporwave 3D-glasses-like effect were very nice.
I liked the idea of filling in the world with color as you find the memories. I would have liked a bit more of a challenge in finding the memories maybe.
I'm not on a particularly powerful computer at the moment, so bear in mind that my experience was hampered by fps issues a bit, but I really liked this regardless! I thought the mood and tone were spot-on, the odd colours really worked, the slightly dreamlike effect achieved by the colour bleeding/abberation at the edges of the screen was well-used. Good job! (also a mouse invert option would have been appreciated)
Interesting experience, I enjoyed how the world changed as the player character progresses, both through the world and emotionally. Has a great vibe and feel to it, I especially enjoyed the walking on a globe effect. Great entry.
Nice little experience. The little story beats were nice and I liked how it affected the world. The idea of a looping world is cool, and the implementation is good. I'm not entirely sure how or why it connects to the rest of the game though!
Awesome! Easy to play/get into and all the shaders/post processing were perfect. Also really enjoyed the use of audio cues to guide the player and storytelling.
Really love the looping effect! This is an extremely solid game. Job well done!
I Love low poly environmental games dude.....you did a great job...
Heya!
I played your game live today, here is the VOD: https://youtu.be/XGmb_ZrYFFo?t=4401
Super pretty game, love the voxel art! Really good work!
Heya! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream [twitch.tv/drjavasaurus)[www.twitch.tv/drjavasaurus]. I had a great time playing it ! As I told you on stream the mood is definitely the strong point of your game, it really touched me. The audio and graphics fit together perfectly. It's a complete game and I was interested from the first second till I saw the unexpected (and heartbreaking) end ! One slight thing though, you might want to opt out of humor, it might bring your overall rank down and it would be a shame to expect humor for this beautiful story.
great game with amazing graphics
here's a tip i saw your source code project is more than 100mb you can reduce that by doing what in this video

hope it helps
What a lovely experience this was. First of all, I'm in love with the spherical shader you guys used for the world, it really creates this feeling of a small cozy world, and the looping is really seamless too! The story elements were nice, and although not very complicated, added a nice layer of meaning on top of the color adding mechanic. Nicely done guys :) One thing: in my first playthrough I fell through the ground after watching the backpack memory, so I had to restart the game.
Wow, the playthrough is very smooth and calm, it was resting at the beginning, then is became a bit creepy with the first day at school and the teddy memory, then melancholic again as I get near the end, the overall mood is excellent and the end wasn't what I expected for sure (I excected the memory to be the one of Eve and that death to concern the mother), so good job with that !! The changing world with time is an excellent choice, it makes the game enjoyable until the end, good coices of music also !! (the only think I can complain about is the lack of audio transition between little memories and the loop, for the sounds cuts suddenly, but it's okay, just a detail). Good job really !! We also chose for our game a topic relied on childhood, in a different way (creepier and less sad at the same time ^^)
Visually stunning and emotional. I did fall out of the world once, but I saw your note in the description and went back to check out the rest. Cool game!
A beautiful visual part, a little emotional, in general, a good implementation of the idea, everything is beautiful!
Very nice use of shaders for the warping world, gives the whole game a very unique style!
Love the shader! :)
I liked the style, the graphics and its effects. There was a nice feeling to how the world curved with where you were and it was nice how color returned to the world. I had to play it in two sessions though because at one point I happened to fall through the world.
Really nice work done on the visuals and on the atmosphere in general, great entry for the theme!
5 for mood and graphics. Really nice horison effect.
Very touching game with a deep meaning. Got me thinking about many things. I got only one issue, a sentence on the end scene wasn't completed, looks like the text was out of bounds or something like it.

@theogen Thanks for your feedback. I am aware of this issue and will hopefully fix this tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up and screenshot!
The music was nice and the warping effect played in excellent harmony with the theme. Good entry!
Really unique and effective way of storytelling! I thought the music and visuals complemented each other well, and the shader effects certainly add to the surreal-ness of the world. Definitely different from any other jam game I've played- kudos to you both!
Wow! This game is a ton of fun! Nice work.
This is quite the experience, the effect of the world looping is very trippy and serve the general presentation, I like it a lot! The mood is very melancholic, and the gameplay of bringing colour to the world feel very nice. Congratulation!
Loved the mood and art direction, especially the world bending shader. Really enjoyed to play such a resting game, it changes from the other :)
(Small feedback, the physics is a bit weird sometimes and I would have like more sounds effects)
It's a deep experience to play through. The visuals and post processing is stunning. The music elevated the overall mood of the came as the colors came to life back again in depressing moment... Very touchable story. I will be honest as I have not rated this game in 'fun' or 'humor' as for me it touches the very sensitive moments a parent can go through. Job well done nontheless!
Mhh, touching experience! Making the world colorful again felt amazing!
Damn that was something... I was just going through my list of to play games and didn't really stop to think about the meaning of the title and the colors being gone, so I didn't see the bit with the grave coming: made me cry a little. Well done!
(By the way, my first try I was looking around and then went backwards instead of forward, which lead to me falling off the edge of the world. Maybe just putting up an invisible wall at the start so that you go in the right direction would be good enough.)
@ghuyajil Thanks for playing! And thanks for the kind words! A shame you fell through the world, though this is probably not caused by walking backwards. The world is infinite in both ways and the direction shouldn't matter. The falling through the world problems seems to be physics related, but we couldn't figure out what the problem is. Multiple people have experienced this issue. Thanks for mentioning it, though!
@ayxs Nope, the world pieces literally didn't replicate/move any further, I walked off a very much visible final edge... I wasn't able to replicate it though, weird.
I took a peek at your project, and I think it may have something to do with using OnTriggerExit; That's always a much harder thing to get the reasoning right for then OnTriggerEnter...
And now that I'm looking more, I also notice that the colliders are not all on the same height, and you teleport the player by setting transform.position, only changing the z position. You should move objects that have rigidbodies using rigidbody.MovePosition. People sometimes falling through may well be fixed by those two things.
@ghuyajil Thank you very much! I actually did not know about `Rigidbody.MovePosition`. I will test this out in the near future. The use of `OnTriggerExit` was necessary since for some reason Unity triggered the `OnTriggerEnter` every frame. I chose to use `OnTriggerExit` as it already took very long to debug. I know TriggerEnter is much better choice overall.
Thanks again for taking the time to look at this! I really appreciate the feedback!
@ayxs No problem, I was just curious after you said it should have gone both ways. Also, I think the most easy solution would just be one big collider for the floor level, as you have no height differences anyway (and even if you would, you'd have a base ground level you could never fall through ;)
I don't know what to say after playing this game. I think it was a cool concept and the story was nice and sad at the same time. You made here I cool game, something that I did not see on the gamejam before. If I would add one more thing at the game, I would add a ending. You did a really good Job!
Nice relaxing game. Very atmospheric, would be interesting if there was a deep storyline with it to discover instead of just 6 artifacts
