LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Cyber Blob by gogo199432 2020-10-06T22:35:12Z

The graphics were good! I got lost embarrassingly fast, and it was a bit hard to tell what was interactable and what wasn't, but I might just be dumb. From what I saw, the monsters design was kinda basic, but it was made really well.

Astronaut Plus Skateboard 2: Galactic Boogaloo by CliffracerX 2020-10-07T01:23:04Z

It looks pretty nice, I'm not sure how it relates to the theme though.

Looper Hell by Dubgron 2020-10-06T23:26:23Z

This was a very cool idea. The game looks clean, and plays well once you get used to the controls. Solid entry.

edit: I would definitely work on the thumbnail, it doesn't look appealing at all.

Asteroid Catcher by Jcourt 2020-10-06T23:35:27Z

The theme implementation was pretty unique, which was cool. I don't know if I'm just bad, but I could not 'play' the game at all. It was impossible for me to collect any asteroids.

Colorful Memories by Ayxs 2020-10-06T08:00:39Z

The wrapping effect made me a bit sick, but the graphics were impressive. It was nice seeing the world come to life as you got to see the past.

Turn Left by Tattomoosa 2020-10-07T05:43:26Z

Very chaotic. I got to lap 20 before I realized the theme was __stuck__ in a loop. It was fun while I cared about getting 1st place =)

Loop by Papaver 2020-10-07T00:36:01Z

Fit the theme really well! The controls were straightforward, but the game was kinda difficult (not that that's a bad thing). The music was nice too, but a bit repetitive at some parts.

Loop Run by Iron Leonem 2020-10-06T04:45:36Z

@iron-leonem I didn't even realize it was looping until you pointed it out in that comment, so you probably should have mentioned that in the description. Anyways, after I figured out what was going on the game was kinda interesting. I thought the mood was accomplished well. For your first game made in Unity, I'd say it's pretty impressive, especially considering it was made in only three days, so good job!

P.S. For game jams, you always want to supply a browser playable version if you can. To do this in Unity, you go file/build settings and then you can choose WebGL, which is Unitys browser playable build.

Stuck In A Loop by Zelif 2020-10-07T06:07:35Z

I was very confused, I did some of the tasks but none of them worked before I refreshed the page. The graphics were nice, but the game was just kinda weird.

Locomotion Commotion by Sharks 2020-10-07T01:49:33Z

Looks really good. The main issue I had with it was that it was almost impossible not to get hit, which seemed unfair. A lot of times I would try to access upgrades and I would sound the horn instead. Not entirely sure how it fits with the theme, but the audio was pretty good too.

Leopold the Lich by Grentacular 2020-10-06T06:32:07Z

This was fantastic. The idea, the art, the sound, and the gameplay were all great. I think I might even play it more after the jam. Very good job!

Stuck on Loop by Britt Henderson 2020-10-06T23:07:12Z

The art style was nice, and the sound was on a whole 'nother level. It was a cute little game and I enjoyed it. As @griddolini mentioned, many players are having an issue because you renamed the .exe to something it wasn't expecting. In the future, to change the executables name in Unity, go to edit/project settings/player/product name

Stuck on Loop by Britt Henderson 2020-10-06T23:10:13Z

@lectvs If you keep going to the right, you eventually loop back around. That was this games implementation of the theme.

Hyperloop by very dark lord 2020-10-06T07:23:41Z

First time I played I was walking left for 3 minutes because I thought it would loop ;-; Very very nice looking game, and combined with the story and sound design the atmosphere is incredible. Great job!

Beware, space! by Vladimir Smolin 2020-10-06T22:07:37Z

Unfortunatly, it looks like the valve controls are completely busted. The game looks nice otherwise though.

Traveling the Wild West by Cwazywierdo 2020-10-07T00:20:03Z

@johnsensei It was made in Unity! I tried making the mechanics as intuitive as possible, but just in case I also put the instructions for each obstacle in the description. Thanks for playing!

Traveling the Wild West by Cwazywierdo 2020-10-07T06:25:26Z

@flawed not randomly generated, I just didn't have time to make more assets =(

PRISON STATION O by xSooDx 2020-10-06T07:34:31Z

The game looks very nice, but I had really hard time keeping my needs straight. There was so much to do that I barely understood what was going on, and ended up just walking in circles spamming 'f' because it seemed to be working. I liked the application of the theme though, it's straightforward, but done well imo.

Hold on granny by Anrewqa 2020-10-07T00:53:03Z

The graphics were phenominal. With such a big area, I had a hard time figuring out where possibly I was supposed to go though.

Featherfall by armytag 2020-10-07T04:30:10Z

The pixel art was nice and it fit the theme well. It was pretty fun, and the only thing I have to complain about is that it was too short =)

For { } by SoupStoreGames 2020-10-07T00:06:10Z

It was a bit confusing at first because I didn't realize the blocks only activated in a certain direction. After I got past that it was fun thought. A lot of the puzzles were pretty interesting. Good job!

Delivery Boy Forever by civmaniac 2020-10-07T00:00:34Z

That sure was interesting! Actually picking out words in order to get more dialogue options is a feature I haven't seen before. I know this was kinda the point, but in general the game felt /too/ repetitive. I liked it though, good job!

Lupe by Nachodlv 2020-10-07T01:27:30Z

Fun little game. I liked the into, and the controls were very interesting.

Last Lap by RoofloorWall 2020-10-06T23:15:41Z

Nice game! I played it a few times and there didn't seem to be too much variation in weapons which is a shame. I think it also would've been really nice for a bit of enemy variation, because right now the screen just gets flooded and it's are to do much of anything. The art was really simple, but I think it was done well.

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-07T06:24:42Z

It was fun seeing the barrage of bullets coming at you as dozens of people shot. I was surprised when I first ran up the side of the screen. The graphics were really nice too.

Number three in the world baybee! I'm putting that on my tombstone. Untitled.png

[WIP] Dolly's Paradigm by AntoineNisoli 2020-10-07T00:12:26Z

Well, it wasn't finished of course, but what was there was good. Nobody else has mentioned it so it much just be happening for me, but I couldn't move forward or left. You got the doom style down good.

-double post by tuvalu 2020-10-07T01:08:41Z

The art and the song were pretty good. I seemed to hit a dead end pretty fast unfortunately, and the theme doesn't seem at all pertintant besides having an excuse for a time limit.

Magic Rush by Verga 2020-10-06T07:09:45Z

@fireslash yep... I thought I was good because I had python, only for it to crash because of missing modules.

Nico's Halloween Story by raks 2020-10-07T00:29:35Z

Nice game! The art was nice, and the runner mechanics were well done. A big issue I had was that the hitbox seemed way too harsh, especially when jumping. I don't think I successfully jumped over a ghost a single time. I didn't see how the theme applied, but that might just be because it froze after the 4th round. Overall it was pretty good.

Sudo-over by JArtis 2020-10-07T01:31:11Z

I suck at sudoku. I'm even worse at gradually disappearing sudoku. It was a bit hard to see with all of the colors, but it was an interesting idea.

Hunger Pains by Kaabiikaze 2020-10-06T05:38:14Z

This is the most creative interpretation I've seen so far. The only issue I had was, as others have been saying, the hitbox seemed a little too big.

Save The Town by JaeLiinah 2020-10-06T22:17:17Z

Not bad! It's seems kinda long for a jam game, so in the future I'd recommend doing something shorter. The idea was pretty interesting though, and while the art wasn't 'impressive,' it wasn't bad, and was very consistant, which gave the game it's own feel.

Glowing Home by AlexTagtal 2020-10-06T07:47:07Z

This looks great, and is incredibly relaxing (as long as you have assist). I don't know what else to say other than that it was a very pleasant experience.

LD47 72Hours 《Jump and Turn》 by ashjo 2020-10-06T06:01:07Z

This was a SUPER interesting idea, I'm really impressed.

Codebusters by BroReNata 2020-10-07T02:41:19Z

Very well done. The puzzles were interesting, the art was easy on the eyes, it had a __very__ interesting take on the theme, just a really fantastic job. Also, this is the only game so far that I've given a good humor rating.

Hamster Dash by Jamster 2020-10-06T22:46:33Z

I thought the puzzles were interesting. The biggest issue I a have is that you die if you run into the wall sideways. I died quite a few times because I was too impatient. You said you're a newer dev? I think this is definitely good for one of your first games. Good job!

ギ Improvisation “恒久 ”회전 by PCA 2020-10-07T00:41:03Z

I was mostly just confused while playing this. I guess repeating those games over and over /is/ technically adhering to the theme.

Getaway Portal by BiancaMello 2020-10-07T01:00:03Z

Good game, it feels like the theme was an afterthought though. It was very chaotic, but fun.
