LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Colorful Memories by Ayxs 2020-10-06T07:53:58Z

I love the visuals and how it looks when you walk around. I also enjoy the symoblism and the mood in the game, with the colors and the sound. All in all I think it's a good game! It's not very "fun" in the typical sense, but it creates emotion (which is all we're striving for, eh?). Good job.

Cat's Delivery Service by uchiro 2020-10-06T09:27:05Z

Loving the atmosphere! The game itself was pretty chill, I guess there's could be a more challenging vibe going on, and it's a bit hard to grasp what to do and why in the beginning. Else than that I think you've created something very good in this short amount of time!

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-09T15:52:13Z

All in all I think this was a solid submission! Great graphics and a great concept! In terms of innovation, it may not be the most original, but the execution justifies it. Good work!

A Ghost Party by lexi 2020-10-09T15:46:07Z

Cute game! Loved the graphics and the atmosphere!

I think the mechanic is nice, but the gameplay itself could have involved some more intricate and harder challenges. It was a very quick and very easy game. Other than that I think you have done really well with this! Good job!

Loopy Train - by Boby4458 2020-10-06T16:20:14Z

This game was great! Spent way more time on it than any other game so far. I really enjoyed the concept, and the upgrade mechanic. Loving the graphics too. Low poly and simple, but understandable and clean!

Early on the game was very hard, and I restarted multiple times to find the right "build order". This is a good thing, not a bad thing, but I think the game becomes easy very fast!

With some polish this game could be something I'd buy, for sure! My two cents:

- The shooters should target any carriages in their range, and not only the last one. This is the main reason the game gets easier fast. You drive past the shooters with your turret guns and take them down before they even get to fire a shot, because they are not in range of the last carriage.

- I think there is some pricing info mismatch. The price of the gold carriage seems to be a lot less than what it says!

Great work on this one!

Hyper Racer by X_Pilot 2020-10-06T16:54:51Z

Great game! Loving the music and the theme! I think its a bit brutal that you instantly die when you touch a ghost with no chance of redemption, but other than that it was amazing :)

Light footsteps after the rain by Chocolat-Endive 2020-10-07T21:06:09Z

Great atmosphere! Really love that you went outside to do this! Keep it!

Loop the Loop by Bajtix 2020-10-06T16:31:01Z

Took me a while to get it, but I really like the concept once I got hang of it! It's a bit repetative, and I got a bit dizzy, but all inn all a solid game in my opinion!

CodeRunner by Nairi 2020-10-06T09:13:11Z

An original platformer, I like it! The movement of the boss reminded me alot of "Master Hand" in Smash. Did you take any inspiration from that?

Loopin' Gluey by marcmagus 2020-10-07T21:03:13Z

First game I've seen that isn't a computer game here! Love the originality, and I also think it would be fun to try!

PRISON STATION O by xSooDx 2020-10-06T07:28:51Z

The game was hard to understand at first, but once I got the hang of it it was quite fun! I feel the Among Us inspiration. Good job!

Singularity by nsadie 2020-10-06T17:00:04Z

The concept was cool, but I didn't quite understand the symbols and how to move to win. It felt a bit random to me! Other than that I liked the atmosphere and the graphics. Good work!

Coalescence: Battle System Prototype by Seth Tal 2020-10-08T07:32:11Z

Fun game!

I think I had a glitch where I had killed all my enemies, but it still said that one was alive in the HP bar on the top right, but there were no creatures on screen. My allies didn't have anything to target, so I just had to wait for the time to run out.

Other than that I found it interesting and fun! It would be cool to have some sort of upgrade system, or reward or unlock system to make gameplay feel like you were competing for something.

No matter what, great job :)

The Calamity Coil by WobbleBlocks 2020-10-06T07:34:19Z

Enjoytable game, but it was quite hard. But I liked the 3D graphics and the medieval theme!

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-07T08:54:43Z

Great game! Love that there is a highscore table! Loving the mood, and the graphics. The shoot mechanic is also really awesome! The only thing I'd say could use some improvement is the movement mechanic. It's quite annoying to move around the corners, and it feels like im not really that much in control of the character. But other than that, I'd say this is a great success!

The cures of the slime by AFKGroup0 2020-10-09T15:21:42Z

I really love the triple jump mechanic! I also really like the concept of unlocking different abilities in the same world/gameplay. All in all I think this was a very fun play and a solid submission!

I don't think this game needed the story, but else than that. Great work!

Train Trouble in Cog Valley by Bea 2020-10-07T17:23:15Z

Loving the game! This would be super cool with more upgrades, harder enemies, and making it feel like you have a strategy choice. For instance attack power vs economy, or more trains vs upgrading others, etc. But for a jam, I think this is a great result. Good job!

Meteorio by Myster 2020-10-07T17:17:44Z

@me when the link is fixed! I want to test it:)

Glowing Home by AlexTagtal 2020-10-06T07:42:43Z

Loving the esthetique and the visuals! I also enjoy the gameplay a lot. With some extra elements and more depth to the gameplay I'd definitely consider it a very fun game. Good job!

Temporal Loop by nohac 2020-10-05T23:11:00Z

Great game! Loving the mechanic. Takes more time than you expected!

Saint Uck by 11thPenguin 2020-10-07T08:45:56Z

Finally someone else that used Godot! :D

The concept was cool, but became a bit repetitive quite fast! Maybe some upgrades or power ups, challenges, or enemies would make it more interesting.

Anyway, still a cool concept. Well done!

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-06T09:29:45Z

@bjornstahl Thank you! Did you zoom out with the scroll wheel? There are a lot of objects! Anyway, it's true I could have added even more, but the game started to become a bit laggy here, so I kept the entities at around 1000 :) Yeah, the shooting seems off because of the speed you're moving at I believe.

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-07T16:38:39Z

@macmist Thank you! The crystals are for upgrading your ship. If I may be so bold to ask for a favour: try again and now upgrade the ship! Might be a better experiene. And for the sake of clarity, I have now update the game description on itch.io to make this feature a bit clearer. Thanks for playing!

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-07T16:39:51Z

@moffkalast I absolutely agree! The actual spaceship uses orbital mechanics, but you're not allowed to manipulate the orbit without landing the ship. This was on my feature list, but I didn't have enought time. Thanks for playing the game! :D

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-07T16:41:14Z

@marcmagus Thats a good point. Mu justification when making the game was thinking that the hovering over the ship higlighting it would entice you to click, but I totally agree this should be clearer, maybe via some tutorial. Anyway I added it to the itch.io description, so hopefully someone doesen't have to go through the same. Thanks for playing, and thanks for the feedback! :D

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-07T16:42:14Z

@Eden Shazar Thank you for playing the game and for the very constructive feedback! I agree with all your points. These are things I definitely would add. Landing the ship is too easy when your hull is fully upgraded.

Returning Home by hansj 2020-10-07T16:43:11Z

Thanks for playing @joedev! If you upgraded your ship you should totally be able to land! Did you remember to press SPACE to engage the thrusters when appraching the planet? :D

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Tunnel48 by Geckoo1337 2021-05-02T09:53:18Z

Fun game! I always enjoy runners, and this was a good execution. Also liking that I can compete with others! Addictive!

Not So Grimm by Rongefilet 2021-04-27T11:13:38Z

Indeed a very cute game, I spent much more time on it than I anticipated that I would do, even though I was just walking and exploring. Very peaceful, and very original with the hand drawn graphics!

You Know The Drill by Maksime 2021-04-29T13:58:09Z

This was quite fun! Reminded me of the game Motherload by Xgenstudios back in the day. Such a fun flash game that was! I think this game was fun, i'd like to see the holes being preserved being runs so you don't have to start from the beginning everytime. But good idea, and good execution all in all!

Ore Lord by dimlight 2021-05-01T07:14:30Z

This was a great game! Really liked it great job for a jam!

Turn of the Tide by Polyethyleneglykol 2021-04-29T13:48:57Z

Couldn't seem to get the controls working. My screen was locked in the same position no matter what I clicked after the initial tutorial. I tried zooming, panning, selecting units, but nothing happened. Im running Windows 10. Let me know if you have any ideas, i'd like to try the game!

The Canary by Jorim 2021-04-27T11:26:33Z

I found the game pretty interesting! I was a bit unsure what to use the other items for, so I ended up just going all the way down with the pickaxe. I liked the rope mechanic, but a bit unsure of the core game loop as it basically seems to only be walking and destrooying blocks to get further down. Anyway a complete game, and a good contribution to the theme!

deepfeater by Shoc 2021-04-27T11:19:33Z

I liked the artstyle, however I didn't quite understand what to do. Pressing the arrows either with arrow keys or WASD didn't seem to do anything?

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

A Card Game by Nicso 2022-04-05T13:41:18Z

Greeeat mood! What a fun take on the card game mechancic. Felt really occult and dark, so the feel was great. Also surprisingly good controls, really felt smooth. Great work!

Dungeon Architect by kazuo256 2022-04-05T12:52:22Z

haha that was a really original play, thanks for sharing it! Loved the art style, the music and sound plus the game loop was pretty intersting

The Endless Night by Arivenzys 2022-04-05T13:54:39Z

What an amazing and visually pleasing game! The controls nearly killed me in the beginning, until I read that they can be swapped to arrow keys. That worked!

Other than this, this is really something to be proud of! Awesome!

Flickerlight by avareii 2022-04-05T13:46:51Z

Really cute and fun game! Funny that we weren't the only ones thinking about diminishing light and keeping the dark away!

Would love the dialogues to move a little faster!

Something to be proud of, great contribution!

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-05T12:33:39Z

Great game, love the graphics and the sound direction!!

ShadowScape by nohac 2022-04-05T13:08:31Z

@jasontherand That's a great score! Thanks for the nice feedback, much appreciated!!

ShadowScape by nohac 2022-04-05T13:13:50Z

@failuer Thank you!

Yes, having a goal I guess would make it better. After deciding on the game type we wanted to make, I felt the theme limited a win condition or a long term goal. But indeed! We also wanted to add more content when the mechanics were in place, but alas time kicked our asses like every time

Thanks for the great comment !

Mortal Compass by JakubBala 2022-04-05T13:19:13Z

Great art style and loved the mood and atmosphere in this one. Also fun take on the theme. I had some trouble getting souls up to show, so I was a bit confused by the compass mechanic.

All in all good contribution though, something to be proud of!

Giraffe o'Clock by Kepsert 2022-04-05T12:41:37Z

Loved the art style, the humour and the music and sound effects. Such a great and jolly little game. Also fun take on the theme: great submission!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Maze Runner by HagamosVideojuegos 2022-10-04T12:15:00Z

Loved how this game looked and felt! And the maze was really well made as well. Would love to have seen some extra mechanics are to expand upon it, but obviously a limit for what you can do in a jam! Good contributions!

10 Seconds Hero by Stefan0198 2022-10-04T11:18:31Z

This game looks really good! Thanks for sharing it, it reminded me a bit of BeatSabre!

Super Auto Crusaders by Savolae 2022-10-04T12:05:05Z

I liked this one! I think you hit the theme well and as opposed to a lot of other games where the timing feels forced, this felt like a natural integration in the game. Well done, great contribution!

Blade Gunner 2022 by nohac 2022-10-04T11:27:29Z

@Kesha Thank you! We used Godot!

Blade Gunner 2022 by nohac 2022-10-04T11:46:09Z

@Astoeth You might have gotten unlucky, we posted a performance patch right before your comment. THanks for playing thought!!

@chromaphase Thank you! Yes... always the hardest part!

@k3y Thank you!!

Blade Gunner 2022 by nohac 2022-10-04T11:56:53Z

@chaikadev Thats really good feedback with the keyboard shortcuts, we tested mostly with a gamepad so that the mousekeys and enter button doesnt work for the menu isnt great! Thanks for pointing it out!

Blade Gunner 2022 by nohac 2022-10-04T16:07:21Z

@rezios Thank you!! Will look into the lags, thanks for reporting!

@shmador Thank you for playing!

@phillip-scott Thank you for all the feedback! And the performance needs some tweaking!

@ofiro Thank you! Yeah, true, it's a bit forced. And performance could be better...

@gonzalol Aw, you are too kind, thank you!

@phoenixofforce Yeah, performance is a thing we have to fix.

@msplanlos Tusen takk!!

@dod108 Thank you, and thanks for all the constructive feedback! The HP powerups are scattered all over the map, maybe you were just unlucky and didnt get that one.

The previous passive cards are a mess, just a time thing.

10 SEC. PπŸŒ€RTAL by hilkojj 2022-10-04T20:19:53Z

Wow, this is super impressive for a self made engine as well! Loved the look and feel of it, and how you included the jam theme into a proven game loop like this. Very impressed.

Wall-Run by Rekko 2022-10-04T12:02:29Z

Love the way the game looks and it was really intuitive! At first I thought I could jump the wall to turn them, but it was apparantly just good timing on my end. Good contribution though, and surprisingly difficult!

Bomb Squirrel by shmador 2022-10-04T11:54:52Z

One of the more fun and original games Ive played so far! Also liked the graphics! Good job on this one, some of the stages were actually very hard

Jupiter & Arcana Travel Through the Nevermore by fae.pdf 2022-10-04T12:20:50Z

Thumbs up for Godot!! Loved the style! This was a very different contribution of the others I have played. Anyways, good job and contribution!

Reload by dod108 2022-10-04T11:44:21Z

Fun little game, it was hard though! I got the furthest when I was lucky with the enemy spawning :D

Frosten by Kaech 2022-10-04T11:26:34Z

This is a really original mechanic, love it! It's really frustrating to die when you miss the timing though!! Good contribution, thanks for sharing!

Labyrinth of Darkness by lonagi 2022-10-04T11:37:05Z

Fun game with a concept I think you could take even further! Lovely contribution though, the maze changing mechanic fits the theme well!

Watch Your Step by red-stake 2022-10-04T12:36:43Z

Good game and feels really polished! I liked these small games that are intuitive and straight to the point. Well made!

LD55 — Summoning

Deathless Sentinel by Fahim Faysal 2024-04-17T21:21:54Z

Wow, I love the art style and mood of this game! Lovely entry

Illusions of Grandeur by Koolruz 2024-04-17T08:26:32Z

What a clever game, the isometric block placing and snapping was very nice. Good joob on the puzzless too! Great entry

Call to Summon by KenForest 2024-04-17T20:53:00Z

I really believe you've got something here, and I think it's a great result for a jam! (although I played the PostJam version, still pretty impressive). Great contribution

Spellbound Battlegrounds by Fredrik Noren 2024-04-17T08:17:57Z

Great job with the multiplayer stuff, for gameplay it feels a bit unresponsive still but I believe there's potential here!
