Nice puzzle design.Ideal for continued development!

dekisenpaitm 2024-04-16 07:30

Really like the setup and definitely something that can be developed further in the future! <3

shasaur 2024-04-16 12:49

Amazing and unique art style, hard to believe it was made in Unity, the fidelity looks Unreal :) Also a really original and interesting take on the summoning theme. First game that actually took me a good chunk of time to complete thanks to the good puzzle design and story. Also, love the look and feel of the chain.

My only feedback would be to make the intro a little bit more user-friendly. I thought the game was at a broken resolution or something because of the empty white box. Maybe showing the first dialogue phrase and a button hint to progress.

shaneshanekavanagh 2024-04-17 17:33

Looks great. Got a lot done in 72 hours!

boroboro 2024-04-17 17:38

Loved the dialogue between the two characters, really cute :) Everything else about the game is also really impressive, amazing work!

nicso 2024-04-17 17:42

Nice entry πŸ‘

Maybe a little bit too much dialogs for my taste but that's really subjective

(The link to the artist send on another game, not sure if it was intended)

tritax711 2024-04-17 17:50

Great game! I really enjoyed solving those little puzzles. You did a great job. GG to you! Perhaps a more complete game in the making?πŸ‘€

xpizt 2024-04-17 18:03

This is awesome! I really like the art style and the puzzles. The dialog is a very nice touch. I had some trouble placing my next spawn point when falling repeatedly, but it was managable. With some more levels and some longer and more complex puzzles this is something I would love to play more of.

alexandru-barbanoua 2024-04-17 20:53

The game looks very good, the gameplay idea, but for a long time it didn't reach me that the knight must die first and then the girl will summon him and don't put too many dialogs and if there are, add a skip button. And one more compliment to the music and 3d graphics at the end!

hansj 2024-04-17 21:21

Wow, I love the art style and mood of this game! Lovely entry

dagunov 2024-04-17 21:27

Ending is funny ;D Cool mechanics, would love to play more. Some backstory is present, gives hope for next part.

- If dialog was at least different color for different characters it would've been great. - Interaction hint in the center of the screen is messy :)

And the art in the end is beautiful :heartbeat:

ne-sofa 2024-04-17 21:28

The graphics and sound are just awesome, but unfortunately I didn't understand the concept and what to do at 2 locations

dmitry-mozgin 2024-04-17 21:35

I tried the web build, but it has no fullscreen button. You may want to add it in the page's settings on itch.io. After that, I ran the Windows build and it is not optimized for widescreen monitors, so I changed my display resolution and I haven't found any issues after that with the game.

As for the game, it is a very simple puzzle. It was not difficult to beat the game, though I really liked the concept and mechanics I think you could add more challenging levels, but it is already good as a proof of concept. I have also to say that the models are great, they look well and polished. Well done!

newey 2024-04-17 22:51

Really cool, I love the idea of playing as two people. The dialogue was nice as well :>

alessandro2024 2024-04-17 22:55

interesting concept! The puzzle rooms were well made, and the fact that you elaborated on the idea and still completed the game within the time limit is impressive. I also liked the writing.

erik-tate 2024-04-18 00:27

This was a truly great entry. Art was solid, concept was solid, game mechanics were solid, level/puzzle design was solid. I'm really impressed y'all were able to pull this off in 72 hours, great work!

deruitda 2024-04-18 00:33

Love that you guys made a puzzle game, not an easy genre to pull off. Overall it's good, it was difficult to tell who was speaking at times, maybe use different colors for the dialogue to distinguish between who is speaking?

svetlanalis 2024-04-18 01:07

cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

lelek-hunor-kadosa 2024-04-18 01:18

Great game. I love that it even has a story. It would be nice if you colored the text to know who is speaking

brogan-ward 2024-04-18 03:38

Love the art and tone of this game! I would have really enjoyed seeing more types of puzzles as the mechanic is very interesting. I agree with @lelek-hunor-kadosa and @dagunov on implementing some indicator for who is currently speaking, but other than that I enjoyed playing this. Great job!

yeouseong 2024-04-18 05:47

The itchio web version is unplayable for me on operagx, windows version is scaled wayy too big on my monitor with no way to resize it, music is astonishing and super well done! Monitor is UW 3440x1440 165hz btw.

gabriel-mendonca 2024-04-18 05:48

Really amazing and beautiful game, loved the concept and gameplay mechanics, keep on with de development and put it on steam :D

ahistyap 2024-04-18 07:14

Really fun puzzle game! The banter between the witch and the undead knight is hilarious! The graphics are top-notch too!

I'm stuck on this level, though. Am I missing something? Capture.PNG

deltamain 2024-04-18 09:20

Such a beautiful puzzle game! Liked the interpretation of "summoning" as actually placing summon-linked circles by main character! One thing I noticed, that can be improved - lack of character names in dialogues, sometimes it is a little too hard to understand who is saying on or another phrase

ruslana 2024-04-18 10:13

@ahistyap Thanks! you just put the portal on the ground and let the knight fall into a hole in the floor

hieu 2024-04-18 12:18

Nice entry! Well done with the puzzle, they're quite intuitive after you understand the mechanic, only thing I would note is that separate the tutorial/mechanic explanation with the dialogue, I skipped the dialogue (sorry) and took a while to understand that the knight can die and revive at the spawn point. Not everyone reads so something to consider! Beside that this is a solid game and has potential for further development. Great job!

smoky01 2024-04-18 12:21

For me, the game recreates memories of games where we have fire and water, and we switch between them to progress through the game. I would like to note that the controls are quite pleasant, which is not the case for many) To make the game better, I think we could add a smoother camera transition with rotation when switching between a knight and a witch))

vitaslayer 2024-04-18 16:33

Really cool game, excellent graphics. The mechanics are interesting and unusual; I'd love to see even more puzzles. The heavy sound of armor was a nice touch, really felt their weight. The controls were a bit awkward in the room where you respawn at the ceiling, and also in the first room, you can pass through the wall with the tutorial.

ruslana 2024-04-18 18:29

@shaneshanekavanagh, @boroboro, @hansj, @newey, @alessandro2024, @erik-tate, @svetlanalis Thank you for checking out our game, I'm glad you liked it πŸ™‚

@shasaur Thank you for playing and your feedback, it gave me more energy to fix that!

@nicso thanks for playing! Agree about the dialogues but it would require much more time to think it through so that the plot stays there. Thanks for the link hint. It was a paid promotion and definitely not me messing it up πŸ˜„

@tritax711, @gabriel-mendonca, @realwangziyang, @dekisenpaitm Thanks! Making a concept of a game is always interesting but finishing it is a whole new story πŸ˜„ Glad you liked it!

@xpizt Thanks! Indeed, I also had troubles in the last level.

@alexandru-barbanoua Thanks! Maybe that wasn't very obvious. Hope it didn't take too much time to figure it out.

ruslana 2024-04-18 18:30

@dagunov Thanks for your feedback. Color for dialogue is a good idea! And seems like I just forgot or missed those interaction UIs to make them cuter.

@ne-sofa Thanks! Sorry for that.

@dmitry-mozgin Thank you for the feedback. Will ask if we can add full screen to the online version.

@deruitda, @lelek-hunor-kadosa Thanks! Dialogue color for each character is a good idea πŸ™‚

@brogan-ward Thanks. Indeed, they are right!

@yeouseong Thanks for your feedback. I don't know if we can quickly fix the game for such big monitors but will ask πŸ˜„ Nice monitor by the way!

@deltamain Thank you! We'll try to fix the dialogues if there will be time.

ruslana 2024-04-18 18:33

@hieu Thanks for your feedback!

@smoky01 Thank you:) Interesting idea.

@vitaslayer Pass through the wall?? Whaaat :D Will check it, thanks!

thegreatcarpet 2024-04-18 23:34

I really liked the idea of the game! The graphics themselves are very nice and simple. You did a good job!

niltonfirmo 2024-04-18 23:59

Good Game

evgenii-victorovich 2024-04-19 02:29

I really liked the character designs, as well as the graphic work in general and the sounds.

fargred 2024-04-19 16:03

This is a very cool entry. The system is very innovative and interesting, I really like the puzzles that emerge from having those two very different characters. The controls also felt very good. Also probs that you gave it a little story and more importantly some personality to the two characters! A very fun puzzle game.

tykenn 2024-04-20 05:58

I like how intertwined the story/characterization is with the actual gameplay.

lestat 2024-04-20 12:05

One of my favorites.

vary 2024-04-20 23:34

Very neat concept. I like the puzzle-y-ness of it, kind of gives me Portal vibes but with an interesting thematic twist. As someone else mentioned, following the dialogue was a little bit difficult due to the lack of character names, but I think even just color coding the witch and the knight would fix it. Awesome job, I would definitely play this if you decide to develop it further!

erlioniel 2024-04-25 19:15

To be honest when I was about to run the game I didn't expect much, because usually when I see some fancy 3D (and this one is quite fancy for the jam) it means that there is nothing aside of it. I should say I was wrong, the story telling make the entry on a good side and really touched me.

There are a few things that might be done a bit differently to make it even better: - The level with the rope is odd because I really almost dropped the game on that point - there is no interaction with objects before and it doesn't click naturally - The level with self-reviving and endless fall is a bit flashy because of it. I think a small delay in gravity settings (or smth) might help it to be a bit less chaotic - I'd rather spend some time for final illustration to finish the story, rather an illustration for the main menu, I think player will like a reward

Overall I really think this is a promising entry. I easily see how this touchy story can be built around and grew into a real game. Nice entry guys, and huge respect for the artist, who made the models. I know how difficult it is giving the time constraint.

Cheers!

freshd 2024-04-28 18:53

This was fun! Graphics and mood are fantastic! In combination with the puzzling with two characters it's a cool entry. Great job!
