LD51 — Every 10 seconds

The Oxinaut by Budark 2022-10-08T15:35:59Z

The concept is sooo fun! I love how the movement and shooting feels, it's so smooth. The screen shake is a bit much for me personally, there should be an option to toggle it, and I think it'd be neat if you can see the weapon you're using on the sprite. The text and countdown were so well implemented, and I like the decision to have the player stand still while shooting, otherwise it'd be way too easy to roll over the enemy waves. Overall, super fun to play, excellent job!

Tower Stack by ChrisWiseman 2022-10-08T15:20:23Z

Really neat idea and the theme was well executed. The graphics are simple and clean which fits. As someone else mentioned, you can just click the end box to finish the level, and I also wanted to add that nothing stops you from building blocks at any of the floating steps, which should be adjusted. Overall, I think this has a lot of potential to be one of those calming puzzle games to play every so often!

Shopping spree by Khullag 2022-10-08T15:52:54Z

The challenge of finding where the damn sticker is and the rotating the items with the sticker facing down was so fun. Having to place the large jar upside down and seeing a large sticker on a small apple made me giggle. As others have said, having an end goal would be nice, and maybe having different iterations of items and random sticker placements would add more to the game but given the time frame I think you did an excellent job. The game works well, looks good, and is fun to play.

Cockroach Hooray by NickPick 2022-10-08T15:10:54Z

A simple concept done well! I like that the difficulty increases with both a more complicated floor plan for you to memorize as well as more guys who can potentially get you. Well done!

LD53 — Delivery

Thats So Punny by recursor 2023-05-08T21:56:51Z

Oh neat!! We had "joke delivery" on our brainstorm board for this jam and ended up doing something else, so I'm glad to have across a game that went with that interpretation. As others have said, this is very well polished and the voice over was great, especially those "haha's" to the dad jokes. Great job!

Mouth Feel by ColeSlaughter 2023-05-03T07:19:05Z

This is so hilarious and stupid in the best way possible. Very creative, good job!

Fork This by LeYamez 2023-05-02T02:44:32Z

omg. I love the music and the driving is super fun. Going around corners with speed and driving off the ramps is great. Also love that you added collision animation/sound! The first time through I missed the order details as well as the box highlights so it was a little confusing, but once you know the objective it's great. Excellent work!

A Blacksmith's Gift by Kassie Kitsune 2023-05-08T21:18:22Z

The simple controls and challenging level make this a very fun game! I really like the concept though it took me until my second try to understand the purpose of the slap (other than it being funny) and realize that I don't want to damage my own sword. I felt like the level design was perfect as well, it was hard but not so hard that I wanted to give up. Took a few tries to deliver that SS and it felt satisfying to do so. As some others have mentioned, I do wish there was some audio. Overall incredible job, especially considering you did this alone!

Deliver Us From Evil by Tobius 2023-05-03T06:23:12Z

@resacagames @kassie-kitsune

Thank you so much! The "frustrating physics" was something we settled on very early and wanted for the items in the backpack, but the throwing mechanic was on top of our list to adjust but we just ran out of time unfortunately!

Deliver Us From Evil by Tobius 2023-05-06T17:27:07Z

oh my god @yuriscat that is so cute THANK YOU SO MUCH!! That's given me so much joy!

I agree a reset button would have been helpful in case the item gets stuck past the fox, thank you for that confirmation!

Fed Up Delivery by Sarah Alexa 2023-05-08T21:47:57Z

Once I got the hang of the driving, this was quite fun. The key, I think, is to just never reverse. The actual throwing mechanic was jank and I see by your description that it was purposeful and I think that adds to the charm. I've had to drive right up to buildings and mass toss packages hoping one would land. Shift 5 was incredible. Having all the packages and garbage build up and block my view was very funny. I'd grab one and just shake it around to throw objects up while repeating "I'm fine!" and trying to drive to my destination. AND you did all this alone?! Amazing work!

Lil' Red Witch by Bluepir 2023-05-02T02:25:08Z

Very cute and fun game! I LOVE the artstyle, especially the blue potion cottage on the top left of the map. The flight momentum felt right, just floaty enough to be somewhat challenging but satisfying once you've got it down. The only thing I would change would just be the audio balancing - the pickup/system sounds feel a little too loud compared to the background music. Overall, great job!

Rain On Their Parade! by TomasPraestholm 2023-05-05T03:35:49Z

This was really cute and fun! I like how each level added more and more elements that weren't spoiled in the level select screen - the scarecrows especially were a very pleasant surprise. Super polished game, what a great job!

Dear friend by hmrpf 2023-05-03T06:55:24Z

As everyone else has mentioned, the art style is incredible. It's so soft and comfy I feel like it'd fit right into Steam's Indie Games page. The music goes together with it so well. I love how it picks up as you progress your route and I like how soft the sound is when you crash. I also like how the camera keeps up with the speed of the owl, it's such a small thing but it makes so much sense that it'd go faster as you float down faster. The art, audio, and simple gameplay (but challenging level) go together just so so so well! This is honestly my favorite submission I've seen so far!

BALA!!! by DSK 2023-05-02T02:57:57Z

This is a fun take on kitchen games! I love the art, especially the chef portrait and the title screen, absolutely beautiful. The humor is great too, from the flies and socks to a customer potentially being served a completely incorrect dish. Great work!

Then Came A Stork by bonkibot 2024-04-16T03:28:45Z

Ohh this was a vibe. The visuals are wonderful and I LOVE the dialogue audio, you really get a feel for the different personalities even though not a single word is spoken. The long stretches of flying were made calming with the visuals and the audio working together so perfectly. I really like the last bit too, I didn't expect the camera and player change, that really elevated this entry for me. Great job!

LD54 — Limited Space

LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-07T18:29:18Z

VERY nice job! The game is beautiful, the gameplay is smooth, and the theming is on point. Incredible job.

Escape from Pajitnov by interface 2023-10-03T01:08:23Z

Neat idea overall. I think the last level with the time limit was the best - having that pressure on top of finding items and managing inventory would be a frantic sort of fun.

Ship in a Bubble by Moebius 2023-10-03T18:37:00Z

Neat game! I found it a bit difficult because of the reflected bullets from the bubble, but that kind of mechanic is a fun take on this genre. The random powerups are great.

Bake Me One More Time by hadesfury 2023-10-03T02:24:10Z

Fun game! I really like the voxel graphics and the sound, it evokes such a cozy atmosphere... in contrast to the absolute chaos that is non stop customers and frantic running around with dough and croissants on my head. As others have mentioned, it's a little difficult to interact with the correct counter but I think that adds to the chaos (in a good way). While I see where the theme is implemented, the difficulty of the game is less having little space and more about having little time to get all the orders done lol. Also, I love that the customers walk right around the counter and into the kitchen while they wait - do you want this bread or not? Great entry overall!

Raft Blaster! by Alchemic 2023-10-07T17:37:28Z

Very interesting game. The controls are challenging but once I got them it became really fun and satisfying navigating the raft and doing the match 3.

I played several rounds on easy/normal and the game always ended the same way - being stuck on a new raft piece that I had nowhere to slot. Unless I'm missing something, it feels really bad and punishing further into the game to match logs to create new pieces that just have nowhere to go. Sure I can maybe pick a config that will fit, but the select screen covers part of the raft sometimes so I can't be certain what space I have. On top of that, sometimes logs match themselves and I'm busy clicking elsewhere when that happens and a piece gets selected for me, so I have no control over it. And, I can't do a controlled burn with the bombs to make space because other pieces can auto match themselves and put it out. So then, I end up just waiting for my raft to fill up while I can't move. In this case, it feels like the player is being punished for doing too many matches, which feels really bad in a game of match 3. There's enough to juggle between navigating and fires and losing squares that I shouldn't ALSO have to worry about not having space for a raft piece. I think just letting the player lose the piece is fine, it lets the game continue and the player can still lose by being too slow and getting overwhelmed. Again though, if I was just missing something in the controls and there's a way to back out of the piece select, then pay this no mind!

Despite that one thing, this game is honestly so fun and I could see myself playing more!

Final Frenzy! by almost 2023-10-06T04:53:23Z

ohh this was so so so so fun. I was (and still am) a doodler on any and every surface and I loved this so much, it tapped into my soul. Also the SOUND? THE SOUND OF THE MARKER IS SO HNNNG GOOD. The subjects got better and funnier with each one and the tests were sometimes tricky despite the notes and everything was so well written and I can't give you enough praise gosh. Amazing amazing jobScreenshot 2023-10-05 231150.jpg!Screenshot 2023-10-05 234647.jpg

Tiny Island by ghpxi 2023-10-12T01:27:31Z

Really solid game. I enjoyed both the jam and post-jam version, they play just differently enough that I liked both and would love to see both developed further. I especially like how quickly you can play the post-jam version - if you have a good streak going then you can constantly play cards as you're earning them and I love that I'm able to do that as the new cards pop up, it really makes me feel like the dev respects the player's time. Great work!

Donut Park Here! by Rongo Matane 2023-10-09T17:00:06Z

This was a lot of fun. The game looks great and the gameplay is so smooth. I love being able to walk on top of cars - at the beginning of each day I'd just climb on top of an incoming car saying "givemegivemegiveme" until it lets me valet 'em. Super fun game, amazing job!

The Fregstival by Honest Dan 2023-10-06T17:58:12Z

It's wild how polished this game is for a jam. I love the art, the sound design, and the gameplay - everything! Putting tower defense with tetris is so clever and it worked excellently together. If I was to nitpick, I guess I just wish there was an undo button? I see that the orientation of the tiles matches the grid when the Frogod shrine is facing you, but it's not immediately obvious. That paired with the occasional misclicked placement (which is a user error ofc) can really screw you. So maybe instead of an undo, can have the tile orientation rotate with the camera? Not sure! Either way, amazing job on a very creative and clean game!

Vacuum Voyager by Killnaprimer 2023-10-03T19:48:50Z

Amazing game! It's such a fun concept executed excellently. The art is so good, and I appreciate the attention that was given to the spill graphic and how it changes when you move things around. The music is good and I like how it changes when the vacuum is on. I especially need to praise the gameplay itself - the test button, being able to place one piece of furniture at a time, being able to reset at any time when clearly your solution was wrong - all of that qol makes this puzzle game fun to figure out. I can't stress that enough. I found it difficult, BUT, how simple it was to just place one piece and see how it affects the route pushed me to try and solve it. If all of that wasn't there, if I was forced to see the whole thing play out without being able to stop when it's clearly wrong, I would have given up (the entryway with the socks nearly defeated me). This game is HARD and it's so good, incredible job!

Denpo by Strato 2023-10-03T20:32:47Z

As others have said, I couldn't stop playing it. It's simple but done well and it's addictive and fun. Having a chain reaction go off is so satisfying. And the music! The music loop never got old! Great game.

(edit: be honest, did you guys want Tiny Creatures to win? Cause I sure did. And these are some adorable little guys.)

Space Inserters by Jeff Kerman 2023-10-07T16:27:26Z

Very creative and challenging game. I can see this being played as a daily challenge alongside something like Wordle. The minimalist aesthetic works perfectly here. Great job!

(I also see you guys have audio as a rating but I didn't hear any, not sure if that's something on my end?)

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-03T01:53:25Z

I LOVE the premise of this! The visuals are fantastic, from the title screen to the level select and the title cards, they really evoke the feeling of going to see an orchestra. The puzzle aspect is also so fun - putting the correct composition together and hearing them play brought a smile to my face. ~~I do wish there was more audio in between the playing, like some sort of shuffling or vague audience sounds or maybe just some notes being played as an instrument is being tuned~~. Overall incredible job!

Edit: the audio is there now and sounds great!

Mind the Gap by LelulaGames 2023-10-03T20:56:10Z

Fun little game! Although the controls didn't match the perspective the movement was still intuitive somehow. I really like the color palette and the music, it's so soothing. I also like how the initial island changes a bit with each respawn, it's such a tiny detail but it helps keep the visuals from going stale. I also want to praise the level with the two pointy bridges - I had to use the marble's shadow to see where they intersect so I can hop down safely. Great job!

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-12T00:42:26Z

This is incredibly polished for a jam game. The art, animations, mechanics, pacing, difficulty - it's all superb. The use of limited space was perfect, and I really love that the max level doesn't just cover the whole grid.

The One by smiley405 2023-10-04T05:58:29Z

Fun little game! I like the art and the sound and the sword swing animation. I appreciate that you're given a ranged attack and are encouraged to use it given a max arrow stack, you don't see that too often. I like how the theme was implemented with the stage getting narrower. I feel like you could have made it a bit more challenging with more enemies spawning in the later waves and smaller arena, but fun game overall!

Galaxy in a Box by Haydads 2023-10-03T00:23:30Z

Fun game! The tutorial is implemented very nicely, the gameplay is smooth, the wormholes look great, and the premise is very funny. I do wish there was sound though - having some sort of feedback when you take damage would help a lot. Overall great!

Homeward by Wuppos 2023-10-03T21:42:08Z

I really like this take on adventure games through inventory. The writing and graphics are charming, and I really appreciate the tiny bit of randomness in the items you get - it adds a bit more strategizing to the game when you start with slightly different items. Great game! Put me on the board :D Screenshot 2023-10-03 163334.jpg

Space Loops by Bo Dangles 2023-10-06T03:37:36Z

What a creative game! The puzzles were difficult but didn't feel impossible and I had fun trying to figure them out, it made me feel smart lol. I enjoyed the constraint of there being a wall at the top of the level, which meant you had to be careful with your jumps, as well as the space constraints created by your past loops, which meant you had to time your movements to create space for your future loop. Very very cool idea.

Shattered Spirits by Tobius 2023-10-03T20:43:19Z

@rorried We strongly considered putting in a tutorial but opted to having the write-up on the LD page instead so we could polish some others things last minute! Did you find the explanation confusing or was it just something that is easily missed?

@haotian-chen oh unlocking characters every level is a great idea! We haven't discussed that but that's definitely a great way to introduce the player to the game and to have some sort of progression.

@t-c @lelulagames Yes we discussed having the info panel visible whenever it was a unit's turn for clarity, but it was brought up when there was barely any time left and so we couldn't. It is possible to click on a unit in the field to bring it up though, as long as you don't have an action selected (since you can "move" onto the square your unit is on). Glad to hear that it would have helped, though, and we agree!

Thank you for the wonderful feedback :)

Suck it to Them! by AmberFall92 2023-10-07T16:13:06Z

Wonderful work! The game is a pleasure to look at and feels great to play. The powerups taking up space in the gun is a great idea but I feel like it was hard to play around and so I just honestly ignored that part of the gameplay and beat it without storing any. Neat entry overall, a creative spin on vampire survivors!

Stretchmancer by Choo 2023-10-07T15:54:28Z

INCREDIBLE entry especially for a jam!

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-07T18:46:17Z

Ohhh the art is so pretty and charming, I love it. I laughed when the first battle started because I was not expecting that at all. I found the gameplay pretty simple, which I think works for this because the focus is on the art and story. Great job!

Purrrgatory by lumie 2023-10-03T01:18:48Z

Cute premise! I love how quickly it ramped up.

LiGHTHOLDER by wolkp 2023-10-07T19:16:33Z

Very solid and polished game! I like that the gathering is just proximity based with no button click, that it works if on all resources that are close enough, and that there are lighthouse upgrades that help with either resource gathering or defending. I can see this expanded with larger levels with more complicated paths, with a bigger upgrade tree, and with harder enemies. I'd be curious to play the next version of this!

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-03T02:41:00Z

This is so fun. It's a simple concept executed amazingly and it's so cute and funny. The jellyfish idea is so smart, especially having it show up juuuust a little bit after the doors open; it forces the player to hold on and see if there's a little kiddo coming. I laughed out loud when the whale showed up. Beautiful. I really like the credits roll as well, and the haiku hints were clever. Amazing entry!

Considerate Inferno by AidanBacon 2023-10-03T22:38:34Z

Ohh I really like this. The music and graphics and sound of the flames work together so well to create an almost serene atmosphere despite the y'know, fire. Showing the new growth after the burn is such a nice touch. I really like this, great job!

Ambling Below by SaikaMatoi 2023-10-03T18:48:33Z

Fun game! I really enjoyed the difficulty of it - it's challenging but doable, and the length as well was perfect. The art is great, especially the little comic at the start.

Before The Trip by Nilan 2023-10-06T18:12:11Z

Neat game! I like the theming of it, and being able to fold items was fun. When I accidentally put two boots together and they clicked, it gave me such joy! It was fun to find other items that click together. As others have said, it was a little hard to tell what items were what, especially with the smaller creams, which I assume are different types of skin care? Hover text might be a little too hand-holdy when you're required to pack certain items to win, so maybe just a slightly different variety of items so the sprites don't look too similar? Not sure. Either way, good job!

Fantasy Haven by Arti Dev 2023-10-03T00:17:30Z

Great idea and solid execution! I like how difficult it is with the constraints given (I couldn't get above a 26 after a few attempts), and this really ties in well with the theme of the jam. Great work on the puzzle design!

Puss In Box by iron_head 2023-10-06T03:11:08Z

Fun and frantic! Love the audio especially

LD55 — Summoning

Summoning by Gao Ming 2024-04-17T02:41:28Z

Oooh! I really like this, it's a simple idea executed really well. The puzzles weren't super difficult, which I appreciate. I really love the visuals and the audio, it's so atmospheric. Great job!

Summoner substitute by badrpas 2024-04-20T01:42:54Z

This is neat! I liked being able to figure out what to do without the instructions being spoon-fed. The actual mechanics are simple once understood and it was satisfying to progress. I kept making chickens and checking the book after each one expecting it to change and in the process had a chicken drop a feather, which immediately made me realize there must be more rituals and I pressed some buttons and got the page to change. I also liked that the rituals weren't exactly in order, it rewards the player for paying attention. I wish there was some audio! Even just a quiet tune in the back and simple sounds for picking things up, processing them, and the ritual would have added a lot. Overall great job!

Deathless Sentinel by Fahim Faysal 2024-04-20T23:34:14Z

Very neat concept. I like the puzzle-y-ness of it, kind of gives me Portal vibes but with an interesting thematic twist. As someone else mentioned, following the dialogue was a little bit difficult due to the lack of character names, but I think even just color coding the witch and the knight would fix it. Awesome job, I would definitely play this if you decide to develop it further!

FRIED AWAY by Kyrios 2024-04-17T04:10:44Z

ohh the art style is so charming. The audio is wonderful too! I love the sounds the drawn chickens make and the defeat tune is excellent, that kept getting a giggle out of me.

Stellar Fishing by Kiddy 2024-04-20T01:24:06Z

Neat little game! The voice over was very nice and I like the setting of fishing in this fast starlit ocean. I appreciate the different fishing mechanics, it reminded me of dredge. Nice job!

Real Time Demoning by Anson Rutherford 2024-04-20T02:14:08Z

The webcam bit is quite funny. I also love the audio of the units, the "you got it" pitched different didn't get old. I did find the webcam-man audio a bit low compared to the rest so I didn't get to hear some of his lines. Overall neat idea, I haven't seen an rts being made in one of these before!

Midnight Mage by SparkyDoc07 2024-04-18T04:04:42Z

Neat concept! For some reason the game wouldn't full screen for me and my mouse would leave the game window, preventing me from being able to fully turn around haha. I still played a bit and once I figured out how the magic works, I quite like the idea here, it's an interesting take on a survival game like this!

Summoner's Emporium by imwonderr 2024-04-16T03:06:53Z

Cute game! Neat take on a factory style game with a summoning theme.

Sigil by Wuppos 2024-04-20T23:21:42Z

What an excellent entry! It's a great blend of nomograms and sudoku with the addition of candle hints. I actually didn't realize you could undo placements and got to like level 6 before going back and rereading the rules and I've since gotten to level 9 a couple of times. As someone else pointed out, I've had a couple of puzzles where my solution made sense with what was on the board but it didn't register as correct. I know I could check my solution with the candle hints but them being a limited resource makes me feel like I should save them until I get really stuck. I'm not sure a good way around that.. maybe a permanent single candle for each level just to check? Not sure. Either way, amazing job, and I'll be returning to this to try to beat it!

⸸ INVERSIO NEGOTIUM ⸸ by pierogo 2024-04-18T00:57:00Z

Holy this is my favorite entry so far. Everything is so well thought out and put together, complete with several very appreciated QoL features - a very clear icon over your mouse so you can always keep track of your character, flashing lights to indicate the slow effect wearing off, the latest lit candle being a different color, having defensive spells that still do damage so it doesn't feel like a waste - I am just so incredibly impressed. The gameplay loop, also, while simple and difficult, was satisfying once I realized I had the rituals memorized and could adapt on the fly to the immediate situation I was in. I also LOVE the audio! The music is perfect and the chanting fits so well. Really amazing entry!

Demon Chalk by AmberFall92 2024-04-21T00:05:29Z

Very neat game! Once I got over the initial hump around when I unlocked the squad (can get swarmed very easily), it's smooth sailing, especially once goblin towers get unlocked. I was expecting a boss fight or something but seems like it just keeps going which is completely fine for a jam game! As someone else pointed out, I wish you can get a bit closer to enemies without taking damage, it's a bit difficult to tell what their range is, but other than that, really solid foundation and great entry!

Butler! Summon the Imps! by jummbus 2024-04-20T23:16:33Z

idk what to add that hasn't already been said. This is so polished and well done. It's a neat twist on an existing game, with the addition of shooting more than one "imp" at a time, and there's a surprising amount of mechanics added on top of it. The audio is also very well done, I especially appreciate how smoothly it transitions from the losing theme to the in-game theme. The art also is very charming and I really like the expressiveness of the characters. Great entry!

Deceptive Summoning by zhang 2024-04-18T01:13:04Z

Very interesting concept. I agree with the previous comments suggesting a slower escalation of difficulty to make it a so the player gets more familiar with the different symbols by encountering them. Neat proof of concept though!

The Rise of Copil by rainbeau 2024-04-20T01:55:58Z

I like that you took the time to implement different builds! I played through twice, first with the wasps and second with the locusts. The summon cap removal upgrade feels op haha. I do wish there were either a bit more enemies or that the player wouldn't get teleported to the next room once enemies are defeated, it feels a bit jarring. Overall great job!

Dance Dance Summoner by Deoxx 2024-04-16T02:56:17Z

What a fun idea. I love the artstyle, keeping the colors super simple was an excellent decision, otherwise I can imagine it gets visually cluttered. I also really love the dancing sound effects, got a good giggle out of me. I also quite like the different sized enemies, multiple times I've had a slime sneak up on me because I was too focused on the top of the screen looking at upcoming elements and the keystrokes required. Overall a fun entry, great job!

Cat Summon Simulator by mayitbeeld 2024-04-18T03:55:00Z

Really nice puzzle game! I like the ramp up on the difficulty with the introduction of the inner spots and the line mechanic, and I appreciate having a "check" mechanic to learn what the symbols mean with trial and error. I can definitely see how this kind of game can ramp up. Great entry!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

FrogScape by Jiri_One 2024-10-13T16:54:18Z

Neat game! I like the chess-like movement of the different characters combined with the audio of the movement, really sells the feel. Having to move each unit individually though felt like a chore, especially when you have no more enemies to fight. There's no more challenge and it's just tedious to have to move all your pieces when you just need one to get a key and another to open the door for efficiency. Otherwise neat entry! Love frogs! :)

My Crazy Little Garden by Patomkin 2024-10-17T00:28:56Z

ohh this is really neat. I feel like a lot of thought went into making such a chaotic looking game feel less chaotic, especially the big arrow and shadow under the active bug, the bugs being very clearly different looking and having an interactable object highlighted to make sure the player knows exactly what 'job' they're assigning. I wish there was some audio but it's such a polished game otherwise, great job!

Tiny Mutators Descend by Urfoex 2024-10-13T17:01:58Z

Neat game! I like the art and the one voice line haha, made me giggle. The different creature mechanics are fun and puzzle was good. I feel like it could use some more audio, as well as indicator of which creature you have selected, but otherwise well done!

Rise of the Wee Giraffes by khaotom 2024-10-08T04:40:05Z

yeah I vibe with this

Mighty Mice by Chartle 2024-10-09T00:25:07Z

Neat RTS! I like having a commander to run around as and give orders. As others have pointed out, it was difficult to tell how to create units, I went to the comments to see and thankfully found an answer, and then Q+E were swapped for the buildings as well. I couldn't defeat the cat, it seems like the archers do no damage to it, but overall a good entry, props to building this with just two people!

Prince Charmony by 100th_Coin 2024-10-13T18:03:05Z

This is super clean and impressive, even more so for a Compo entry, holy. The voice acting is top tier, the graphics are great, the singing along audio is incredible, the puzzles are so so clever. I ended up using the walkthrough for one of them (didn't think about what solid objects implied!) but for the rest of the levels it felt great once I had the solution figured out. Amazing amazing job!

Critter Conflict by SpiRiTs 2024-10-09T00:52:02Z

Really nice entry! The boss designs are fun, the gameplay is smooth and responsive, the attacks are all really well telegraphed - all comes together to make for a really satisfying run. Awesome job!

Lil Fella Killa by Cisco 2024-10-08T04:48:04Z

Big Win! Fun game, really like the audio and the contrast between the surroundings and the little fellas. I went into a trance just focusing on cleaning them up haha, great job!

Backpack Dungeon by Neon Glass 2024-10-17T00:06:28Z

Screenshot 2024-10-16 190551.jpg

Cute game! I like the chill music and the click clack sound of the mining, and all the faces haha. I wonder how this can be expanded, maybe different types of pickaxes that mine in a different pattern? Or little temporary buffs you can pick up? Solid start either way!

Tiny World Mayhem by Transkuja 2024-10-17T00:11:32Z

omg love the visuals and the audio, from the music to the little noises they make to the splatter sounds. Great intro as well, it adds a lot to the feeling of polish. Great job!

Flea Circus by Adam Konig 2024-10-09T01:18:09Z

What a fun concept! The idea of having inputs recorded and replayed is really clever and really ramps up the flea circus vibes. Love the audio as well, very fitting. Nicely done!

You Can Save The Rat by poboy 2024-10-09T01:09:30Z

As others have said, really love the contrast between the regular gameplay and the death scenes - it really makes you want to get the true ending. Great job!

Save Nebuville by Blue Pin Studio 2024-10-08T04:27:36Z

Nicely done! Simple concept done quite well. I like the upgrades and the different faces and was certainly surprised by the last guy haha. Well done!

Wink and the Fae by Pious 2024-10-13T16:15:15Z

What a cute game! I really love the aesthetics and how it plays. I also appreciate that just having your critters in a conga line doesn't keep them safe - I was unsure at first at how I had some that died, but it totally makes sense that you should avoid touching the enemies, haha. I wonder if having to reload would be good? It would make the game more difficult but maybe it doesn't need it, with how many enemies you could end up with on screen. I'd love to see how this gets expanded either way, really nice entry!

tiny villages by OldDog 2024-10-08T04:07:27Z

very nice job! I love these kinds of games, the art is really cute and I like the little sense of progression you get.

Tiny Galaxies by Gabriel Chan 2024-10-13T16:01:34Z

Oh this is incredible. Super well polished and fun, I could spend hours playing this getting all the achievements. As others have mentioned, I found the difficulty curve a bit steep, and I didn't realize the different critters give you different upgrades at first and it took a few runs to memorize them. Overall, amazing job!

Nights in the cozy shack by Gastar 2024-10-13T17:30:30Z

Ohhh I like this a lot. The graphics are spot on for a game like this, along with the lighting and audio. Once I figured out that the mimic can only be the objects highlighted (I was originally looking at the furniture as well haha) it was very fun memorizing what objects were where with every match life. Nicely done!

a pixie perfect fairytale by WeeFairyFabi 2024-10-09T01:56:06Z

aw this is wonderful, love the art style and the audio, really nails the fairy tale vibe!

Hundreds & Thousands by willianfhs 2024-10-08T02:25:18Z

Super cute art style, the music and sound design fit perfectly. The hammering is satisfying, but I feel like there should be an option to turn off or at least scale down the screen shaking, it gave me a bit of a headache but could just be me! Great entry overall, very humorous and creative :D

Little Friends by bearcage 2024-10-09T01:41:32Z

Really nice entry! As others have said, it was unclear that the second flower that spawns is interactable for class change, but once that's done the game is quite solid. The music is relaxing, but I found the attack noises by the slimes quite jarring. I like that the player is able to zoom out to watch their workers, really feels like you're overseeing an ant colony :D

Run Lilliputes by Niewrsis 2024-10-13T16:20:35Z

The jumping mechanics could use some work but it's a neat idea with having to change forms!

Wish Town by Iwant_Pizza 2024-10-13T16:29:40Z

Ohhh this is creepy with the visuals and audio design, nicely done!

Gobblin' Goblin by DubiousDuck 2024-10-09T00:03:15Z

Super cute art and I like that there are different audio tracks for the different levels. The gameplay was a bit difficult to figure out but once I did it was quite fun and it got pretty hectic. I came across a bug where if you had two gobbos with different ingredients at the prep table, they would both turn into whatever ingredient was prepped first. I also had a case where I had -1 ingredients and it wouldn't go up regardless of how many times I added it to the pot. Otherwise, though, neat entry and really creative idea, great job!

Screenshot 2024-10-08 190007.jpg

Stuart's Perfect Day by James Poole 2024-10-17T00:17:45Z

ah what a cute relaxing game. Love the visuals so much and the music and the little guys. Plantyhead is my favorite so far.

Happy Birthday Logan by imberny 2024-10-09T00:38:21Z

gosh this was wonderful, I don't even know where to start. The visuals are stylized and perfect, the writing is spot-on, the audio... oof, going up those stairs hurt in that specific way. Gathering the gang together to just SIT around the tv is so incredibly heartwarming and just the thing a good friend would do in this situation. 5/5's all around.

Happy Birthday Logan.

Escape from Wonderland by ViJeMir 2024-10-13T18:12:32Z

The visuals are nice and the tutorial is incredibly helpful. I wish there was a bit more feedback when you're hitting enemies and when you get hit - it sometimes feels like I die out of nowhere. The jumping doesn't feel great, it's a little too floaty, and the base camera position feels a bit low. Overall though I like the premise and the ideas there, great job!

Beyond Fear by Arsmih24 2024-10-13T16:37:17Z

Love the visuals, they're so beautiful and moody!

LD57 — Depths

Delver Delve by khaotom 2025-04-10T00:57:05Z

Oh this was fun! The graphics are simple but the scanlines really elevate them, otherwise the game for sure would look bland, so it's a nice touch. The audio is subtle but fits the vibe really well. The puzzle aspect at the end was a surprise so I had to go back and collect all the gold haha, but I do wish there was an easier way to reset the whole game without having to refresh the page - missing a whole level cause I just fell through the gaps felt kinda bad, but I do appreciate having the really quick reset per level if you catch yourself just before falling through. Overall solid entry, I always love coming across complete-feeling games in these.

Depths of Madness by gold.daniel 2025-04-09T00:38:40Z

Neat entry! I like the madness mechanic and the ability to reduce it with the halo upgrades, makes the player have to think twice about picking up every drop they see. I also quite liked the visual representation of the madness with the tentacles slowly moving in and obstructing vision. It took a bit for me to get the cascading effect, but once I stacked it up it was incredibly satisfying to see a chain of them go off, but I do wish there was a bit more variety in the upgrades. I'd also like to be able to see what upgrades I've got, or at least some sort of pop-up for when I chose the 'two random' ones to see what I rolled (unless I missed it?). I had fun with this either way!

Aerofish Project by almost 2025-04-11T02:23:17Z

Really neat take on an RTS with a moving base. I liked the art style and the animation, especially on the fish, but I do wish there was an audio track of some sorts for the background. I also was very confused the first time around and thought I had to control the fish and attack the birds? lol. it took a little bit to realize that the birds are friends and the other sprites with life bars are enemies - I feel like that could be a bit clearer. Otherwise a fun, creative idea, nicely done!

Captain Death by Sarah 2025-04-10T23:40:16Z

Neat! Took me a minute to figure out why my cast was so short, didn't realize that you're basically expected to immediately buy an upgrade or just get lucky with a fish being close to the surface. It also wasn't clear why my line would sometimes turn red and retract, I'm assuming it was due to hitting some obstacles but then it's not clear which ones are okay to hit and which aren't (not sure on that one)? And as someone else mentioned, once you get a bunch of upgrades it takes too long for the star animation to finish before you can throw your line again, especially since your actual star count doesn't go up during this animation so you just kinda sit there and watch. Overall though, this is a really neat idea. I like the angle mechanic, it's a creative twist on fishing and can easily lend itself to some fun puzzles where you have to navigate down. Cute game, death is on vacation and they go fishing and honestly, that's a vibe.

ONLY GO DOWN by jefvel 2025-04-11T01:26:43Z

I really enjoyed the visuals and audio in this one, the lighting effect and music progression is really well done. It took me a couple of tries to understand the gameplay but once I did it was quite simple and fun. Really solid entry!

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-18T02:28:32Z

Ohh the art is beautiful and I love the paper texture and stains. The audio is lovely as well, although I do wish it was a bit easier to tell which teeth were ok to clean vs not, unless I was listening to the wrong thing. The camera rotation is nice touch, although I did have it break on me and keep rotating while I couldn't move lol. Very creative take on the theme!

Granny's Gotcha by Joscco 2025-04-11T01:13:18Z

oh this is cleaaaan. I love the art style and animations, and the writing is almost fairy-tale like with how granny kinda says the same thing each time but with different digs at each kid. Each level I'd look forward to see what little side comment she'd give and what random items she'd have in her bag. The gameplay is super smooth and intuitive, and I feel like the puzzles were at an appropriate difficulty for a jam. What a polished entry, incredible job!

The Drop by Langotriel 2025-04-18T23:24:00Z

oooo fun. Super intuitive gameplay, the premise is fun, and the lines/voice acting is the cherry on top. The music is great, too, and I appreciate how it's timed with the underground section starting and the light stick turning on. Nicely done!

Screenshot 2025-04-18 182337.jpg

Depth.exe by Wargon 2025-04-08T23:59:34Z

The visuals and audio are excellent, really dig the vibe. The gameplay took a bit to figure out, the gif you have included is very helpful, so thank you for that! Very creative entry overall.

Bagatelle by Aune 2025-04-11T01:22:04Z

This is really solid! The visuals are great and the animations are snappy, lending to some really satisfying gameplay. I felt like the progression was very well tuned and the length of the game was appropriate for a jam. Nicely done!

Deep Blue by poboy 2025-04-10T01:47:15Z

ohh I really like the Morse code mechanic, and looking at your comments that you have a special attachment to it I'm glad you were able to share it with others. The vibes are on point in this game and I especially love the transition from scene to scene - the stark white along with the audio is excellent. Nicely done!

Subconscious Abyss by ugly_robot 2025-04-12T01:06:59Z

oh man I LOVE the theme of this. Representing therapy with kerplunk is genuinely brilliant. I did find the text a bit hard to read and honestly kind of gave up on it after a bit. Maybe part of the reason is because the question for each bar shows up as you hover over it, so the text is constantly changing and hard to keep track of. If the text only showed up as you commit to pulling a bar then it'd encourage the player to actually read it? Not sure. The text also doesn't seem to scale quite right when switching to full screen, and I had the sprites disappear as well.

I do also like the crisis mode, it adds a good layer of complexity and makes the player have to decide quick on whether they should pull a bar or just wait for gravity to do its thing. I think my best run was 3ish ruminations remaining? Oh I also really like the looping tune, it fits the vibe incredibly well. Again, really amazing job with the theming, nicely done!

The Scourge from the Deep by Wuppos 2025-04-10T02:11:03Z

Ohh this was neat. Nice visuals and I appreciate that the boss has different attacks, even if the windup on some are a bit too fast to react to. I find the keyboard controls a bit wonky, so I used the mouse instead, and that too feels a bit odd since the attack/dodge is based on where the character is facing. I know that's a common thing in games and it adds a bit more complexity, so maybe it's just a personal preference. I liked this either way! I couldn't quite get as fast as the commenter before me but I tried!

Screenshot 2025-04-09 210154.jpg

Painball by AmberFall92 2025-04-11T02:50:57Z

ooo what a fun spin on a classic game. I really like the art style and the Satan sprite pressing buttons in the corner lol. The trap mechanic is really neat and I appreciate that we're able to replace them, it lets the player test out how the different traps work without it feeling punishing. Nicely done!

i have no clothes and i must clean by robobarbie 2025-04-09T01:13:14Z

oh my god this is such a solid entry, idk where to start. I LOVE that there's customization for your legs at the very start??? AND the skin color affects the portrait? so extra but an incredible detail. I love the music progression and how anxiety-inducing it gets, but then it gets cut through by the dialogue which has some lovely writing and provides a much needed pause from the keyboard mashing lmao - speaking of, I really like the controls. Having to move your legs independently is so clever and really adds to the feeling of scurrying down a staircase. I like so much about this game, idek what critique I can offer, I just want to gush lol. Awesome job!

Screenshot 2025-04-08 200035.jpg

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-12T00:11:31Z

oh man this is hard, haha, but really well done. I'm always impressed with entries that take a simple concept and polish it. The graphics, physics, and audio work together quite well. The gameplay is straight forward but challenging and rewards patience, and the learning curve is well done. My only feedback would be on the zoom-in that happens when you jump - it's a neat feature but on sections where I'm attempting several jumps over and over, the constant zooming in and out gets a little bit nauseating, so maybe there could be an option to tune it down or turn it off? Overall though, really great entry!

Icebreakers! by npckc 2025-04-11T03:09:35Z

aww this was really cute. I especially liked the penguin and the little roll he did. I also chose to cry every opportunity I was given, so thank you for that. The writing was great, the art was cute, and the audio tied it all together, and I like that the Depths theme was used in several different ways. Nicely done!

The Abyssal Trenches by redemptor 2025-04-11T03:50:30Z

Neat little game. I liked the theming of it, and the angler light mechanic works really well. I do wish it was a bit easier to collect all the krill, maybe there should be just a little bit more spawned than you need so you're not stuck in a situation of having to comb the entire map to find one last krill. Or maybe the algae can respawn (unless they do and I missed it) so that you can use your light more often.

Rapid Eye Microgames by Tetracold 2025-04-11T00:18:48Z

oh man this is incredibly well done. There's so much variety in the minigames and the art styles, I'm really digging all the different aesthetics. For some reason I'm having a lot of trouble with the key one, it seems to want a half-moon shape but I haven't seen one as an option. And then for the Statue of Liberty one, the music would get cut off every time I came across it (web version). Otherwise, awesome work! I really like the nightmare versions, they're a fun little surprise, and I think my favorite one is the handshake lmao something about the audio and the zoomed in visuals captures social anxiety really well. Nicely done!

Coffin' Time by Nepturenus 2025-04-11T02:38:51Z

Oh the art is great, I am especially a big fan of the sad axolotl. The theming of this is also very funny, the idea of frantically trying to bury the coffins before daylight made me laugh. The gameplay feels a tiny bit janky sometimes, like the coffins would get stuck horizontally and I'm sure that is partly intentional, it didn't lead to any frustration and was more amusing than anything. Overall, nicely done!

Flatline by Empyreans 2025-04-18T02:19:26Z

This is a super solid entry. I really like that the focus seems to be more on the puzzle solution rather than on precise movements, I felt like once I knew which path to take then it only took a handful of tries to execute it, and that the solutions never really involved any specific corner jumps? I was a bit stuck on a later level thinking I had to do some fancy side jump but I was overlooking a warp. I honestly would have given up a lot earlier if there were some mandatory corner shenanigans.

Visually the game is quite nice, the color coding is clean and I really like the background. It almost looks like some shaky handheld camera movement (how'd you guys do that lol). Also the voice acting on some of those lines was incredible (especially "no one's coming"), and I appreciate that they didn't play on every attempt - spacing them out gives them more impact, like I'm really trying to save the guy, yknow. Really nicely done, the audio and visuals and gameplay work together really well, I enjoyed this a lot!

A walk arround the pit with your friend´s head by Juno Menager 2025-04-11T01:36:03Z

ooo I really like the vibe of this one, the excellent audio paired with the visuals sets the tone quite well. I did get stuck on the stools towards the end, but otherwise no complaints. Nicely done!

LD58 — Collector

LOOKING FOR THE GOOD STUFF by Ntimi 2025-10-16T02:32:30Z

like many others have said, the art is wonderful and works especially well with the limited color palette. I like the gameplay loop, the upgrades feel good, and it truly is spooky venturing further and further out. Excellent job with the audio as well, the tune played in the central square is very comforting after being in the outskirts. Really solid little game, great job!

Halloween Knight by Artur Hawkwing 2025-10-16T01:50:16Z

aw the pump-kid is so cute! I like that you combined the theme with Halloween, very fitting, and I feel like it works well. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out there was a double jump, I thought I was missing something. Overall nice game!

Hollow Choir by Forik 2025-10-16T02:11:36Z

ohh there's a lot to like in this - the QTE of doing the spells, the angry voice lines when you get it wrong, the doll that moves places, the bell ringing when the next coffin is ready, having to actually look at the coffin to figure out which spell to do without it having spoonfed, the ~vibes~

Really well done!

Slop Scavenger by Jacobloon 2025-10-16T01:40:36Z

This could use some additional audio/visual feedback when picking up items and when taking damage, it's currently a bit hard to tell when either happens. I'm also not sure how strongly this embodies the Collector theme. I did like the movement and the different guns though. Shooting bugs is always fun. Nicely done!

The Curator by Maghwyn 2025-10-16T02:47:21Z

I have been collected.

I haven't played Stanley Parable so I don't have that connection, but I did like the narration commenting on my actions. I kinda expected commentary on collecting different colors, though, but it looks like that was planned but just ran out of time, no worries! I do wish there was some audio, but otherwise, nicely done!

LD59 — Signal

Dark Sigils by Artur Hawkwing 2026-04-30T02:25:58Z

I liked the music, it matched the atmosphere quite well. I found the clues in the first room to be a bit confusing, mainly because of how things are worded (like "all the glyphs are the same" made no sense to me), but once I figured out how the game works, it was really simple. Nice job!

Signal Tozoku by Profugo Barbatus 2026-04-30T02:08:21Z

This is so cute!! Instant flashback to making my own little Shimeji type characters on my desktop haha. Miku's animations are great and I especially like how she speeds up sometimes like a true little gremlin to eat some files. Really great work - super simple concept done really well with a good amount of variety!

Laser Signals by Le Don 2026-04-30T02:32:39Z

As others have said, I found the game to be quite difficult, but did appreciate the consistent checkpoints. The color change mechanic is neat, and I like that it's only the projectiles of the same colors that don't hurt you, but the ships still do - adds to the difficulty and made me have to approach each section more carefully. Nicely done!

We're Breaking Up by RobotChimp 2026-04-30T03:06:58Z

ohh this is great. LOVE the art, the limited color palette works extremely well, and the driving felt really nice and responsive. There's a great balance between avoiding obstacles and trying to keep up with the convos, in several cases had to just guess what the right response is supposed to be. The girlfriend one cracked me up. Really nice job!

(hey how'd you make the road look like that? is it 2d or 3d?)

Screenshot 2026-04-29 220631.jpg

F(R)OG by Egrassah 2026-04-30T03:26:07Z

ohh this is really cute. the audio was really well done, especially the directional chiming of the light you had to collect, and I found the puzzles to be the perfect amount of challenge for a game jam. nicely done!

Screenshot 2026-04-29 222251.jpg

Brain Rot by fimiq 2026-04-30T02:40:52Z

Very neat concept but I'm not sure it was executed quite right? There's a bit of a delay getting started but once you're moving it's completely fine. I thought the little brain guy very cute and the crashing cars were hilarious. I did not quite figure out where my job is though, pretty sure I went to each building but didn't find any prompts or anything. Thought it was the blue building diagonally from the apartment but I kinda just walked right into it and a car then drove into me. 10/10.
