I really enjoyed the art and how you incorporated the theme
This is super cool! I like the Sudoku inspirations a lot. Well done. :D Would like to see more depth to the puzzles, but they were well done as-is.
Really cute little game. I got to level 6 and couldn't figure out the puzzle. I'm not totally sure if it was under specified or just too dense for me. The concept was really cool though! I wish there were more of the mid-range difficulty puzzles before the really hard ones.
Very fun puzzles! I like the pixel art too. Took me a little while to get the hang of it on how to exclude certain tiles. Well done!
I do wish that there was a way to mark tiles as guaranteed empty, that would've been a helpful feature.
Well done! 🧙♀️
Cool game, I like the art and also tend to enjoy puzzles of this style. My one addition would be to add a marker that you can use while solving the puzzle. I also think I encountered a puzzle with multiple solutions and mine did not register as the correct one, but it's also possible I just got it wrong.
Fantastic puzzle game, I really enjoyed it! It feels like a cross between Picross and Sudoku, and it was really fun trying to solve each one logically. I wasn't able to finish the 9th (I think last?) level, it was getting a bit tough for me to solve. But the logic mechanics are excellent (candles, red/blue numbers). Some ambient music would be nice, but overall I greatly enjoyed this; well done!
This's impressive! The sudoku-like gameplay is challenging but fun, since it adds the extra layer of candle limitation to calculate. It really puts my brain to the test
After several rounds try I do notice there are repetitve levels occurs occasionaly but overall there seems to be a large amount of levels to explore, which seems amazing especially for compo entry! I'm still figuring out how to use my candles wisely, as they aren't reusable resource and sometime I have to figure out if it is necessary to use them.
It's a bit confusing sometimes for the orbs ain't that obvious at first glance, and sometimes I also mistoke a line count requirement to another which cause me a lot of trouble lol, but overall this is feeling very solid Nice job!
Really liked previous two entries, back again for gorgeous art!
The puzzle itself reminded me of sudoku puzzles my mom does sometimes. Choosing to play a puzzle in the end of a work day wasn't my best idea... It felt too complicated for my brain to process at the moment. But I tried my best! :D
I did feel a bit confused about placement sometimes (I didn't get to any blue numbers so only used red sigil every time)
For example, here I felt like I should have checked all the boxes (I drew the lines from each 1 showing there is a mark on that line, and yellow circles show where I places my sigil) puzzlewuppos.jpg
My horrible sudoku-solving skills aside, I like the atmosphere of the game. It looks pretty, and relaxing. The mechanics are interesting in my opinion, they feel unique in their own right and fit the theme well ^^
*Edit: I actually didn't realize I had my timer app on with thunder sounds and thought it was in-game sound. It fit soooo well :)
What an excellent entry! It's a great blend of nomograms and sudoku with the addition of candle hints. I actually didn't realize you could undo placements and got to like level 6 before going back and rereading the rules and I've since gotten to level 9 a couple of times. As someone else pointed out, I've had a couple of puzzles where my solution made sense with what was on the board but it didn't register as correct. I know I could check my solution with the candle hints but them being a limited resource makes me feel like I should save them until I get really stuck. I'm not sure a good way around that.. maybe a permanent single candle for each level just to check? Not sure. Either way, amazing job, and I'll be returning to this to try to beat it!
Simple screen, fun gameplay! Despite that it's so difficult for me...〒▽〒
Really impressive, was so confused at first but after taking a short bit of time I wrapped my head around it. Had loads of fun! Well done on the entry.
Woo! Love2d game! Always fun to see. The game was fun and engaging, too! Great job on the art as well!
This felt like a fun evolution on the ideas of picross. I love the visual style of the whole thing, exceptionally well presented. I'd say more but I'm busy solving puzzles.
I like the pixelart very much! But when I download the Windows-Version I get the .exe only (no .zip) and I can't run it, because its missing files.
Fantastic pixel art and carefully designed levels, I like it very much. However, the mechanics reminds me of the dark altar entry, but that's pretty much coincidence I guess LOL. Well done!
The game is really confusing to me. It was hard to understand the rules at first and even then the game showed skulls, when I thought I solved the puzzle correctly. I think the game would benefit having a few introductory levels. Also would be cool to be able to retry the level when done wrong, so you could understand your mistakes.
Always a sucker for puzzle games and this one nails it. Love the candle mechanic, really enjoy the difficulty ramp up, the art is excellent. Vibing with this one and book marking it so I can revisit again! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot for playing everyone! I have been quite busy the last couple of weeks, so I really appreciate all the playthroughs even though I was not able to rate and play as many games as I would have liked to myself.
@kanity Hmm, I agree that there must be a bug somewhere. What you show in the image should have been the correct answer. Testing a bit myself it seems that this especially happens in the early levels. I will have to see if I can fix that :/ Thanks a lot for letting me know!
@freshd That is odd, for me the windows version works properly. What kind of error does it give?
@loka I did not know about that entry at all, but it indeed looks very similar! I should try that one myself as well to see if I can learn something from them :D Thanks for letting me know about it!
@happyglitch Thanks a lot for playing! Yeah, it seems that in the early levels there is a bug floating around which does not accept the correct solution. Retrying is an interesting idea, I will have to think on that.
@zhennaperks I intend to update the game a little bit at some point. To make the UI a bit clearer, fix some bugs and maybe add some music and sound effects. I would also like to add an in-game tutorial, but I am not sure yet how to go about that. Anyhow, thanks a lot for playing! :D
@wuppos Have you tried downloading the game from your itch-page? I receive no .zip-Archive but just the .exe-file. When I start it, it complains not finding "love.dll", "lua51.dll", "SDL2.dll".
@freshd I just included all the dll files, so hopefully it should work now. Thanks a lot for your help! It worked on my computer even if I just downloaded the exe file, but I guess this is because I have love2D installed.
It works now! Thanks for fixing it! :) The game is fun and gets challenging quickly. The pixelart is (still) awesome. Great job!
