Rated, great game. I love good gamemaker games :D
Really good job, I can't believe how polished this is. Definitely one of my favorites of LD38! :D
Baker was right the graphics are good, I wish there was more of this though :slight_frown:. Good effort!
This is amazing, I wish I could play this against my friends! Great work
Decent entry, I liked the idea and the mashup. Only critique would be that the controls are a little too floaty for my liking. Other than that a great entry!
A great take on a tower defence game, I really enjoyed it!
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
Excellent work on this one again Napper, it's difficult but there is so much mystery in getting it right which might not always be a bad thing. Also, black holes are cool so who cares if they destroy everything
Looking forward to what comes next!
Really fun, I love the twist on the old style. It reminded me of a ragdoll Zelda 2 :D. Great entry!
I love it Charlotte, the little phone and the interactions. It was really interesting and totally opposite of anything I have played this Jam! Great job
Great game! I love the concept and how everything closes in. The sound and music are excellent too. My only problem is I wish it had controller support but not that big of an issue, just a preference :)
I felt the controls were difficult swapping between mouse and p. I liked the idea of using the torches to expand the play space. Would be interesting to see how this evolves if continued to be worked on.
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be super grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
Really interesting game, I got 168 seconds. I didn't realise what to do at first but quickly picked it up. Great work!
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
Really good concept! I didn't know at first if I would die from hits off the rocks because I kept getting hit but there was no feedback. I died eventually. Other than that great entry :)
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
Such a great idea, really innovative and impressive for a first entry! Great work :)
If you wouldn't mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
@wheffle Thanks for the feedback, that was my intention. Because its a common way to say it, I knew players most of the time would use type "sit in chair". I used it to show the player that they might need to be very specific with what they write without just saying, hey be this specific.
Good entry, the art is wonderful! I had lots of things to do while playing, took me a while to get into it though. Great job!
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be super grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
This was wonderful! I can't even explain how much I enjoy this :joy:
I followed on itch.io and on here to see what you make in the future, amazing!
I liked it, it was really hard though. I have a couple of points below:
- The missiles start right away, would it not be better to introduce them later on as a way of escalating the difficulty? - Once I was hit with a missile it would be game over as I always got eaten, was that the intention?
I really liked the art and sounds. Overall a good experience :D
An interesting idea, vastly different from anything I have played so far. I did get a crash, that was the only thing that stopped me playing. Good work!
This is really good, even more so for a first game. I love how its really snappy it is when you die you're thrown right back to it. Good work :)
Played it again for voting, still one of my favourites this jam. Great work!
For a first attempt I wouldn't knock it. There are many improvements you could make, like how with the level collapsing you can get stuck and not progress. But if you keep at it you will always get better. But you're on the right path with good ideas :)
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
I love this, it was a well executed concept and I enjoyed everything about it. My only problem is I wish it was quicker at restarting rather than panning across. Great work!
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be super grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
Loved it! Definitely in my top 3 of what I have played so far. Excellent work!

A well put together game, I especially enjoyed the visuals and music. Great work.
Love the idea, I wanted more but the concept was really interesting. And the music was really good, especially winning. Good entry! :D
Amazing entry, gave me the feeling of Sid Meier's Pirates! Though the water made my eyes go all funny after a bit,
Shaky text will always be a winner for me. I loved the atmosphere and the how you felt like you were in trouble with the effects on the screen. Really great work. I'm going to have to play again later :)
A nice simple idea, I would have liked some escalation where the cards move around the screen to make it even harder still and pushed it further. Good job!
Napper, you have blown it out of the park this time. The only thing I could criticise is the difficulty in holding the power sometimes. Other than that top marks across the board! One day I want to grow up to be a designer just like you :)
Really good entry! My only problem is that it went on too long without any visible escalation, or variation to the enemies which I would have liked. Other than that strong work! :D
Really impressive entry for just 48 hours, great design, art and sound!
I did it, I got them all up and running. Great work Charlotte :D
This is like game is so like Hotline and I love it so much, its also so metal \m/. My only wish is that it lasted longer and I my health wasn't ticking down constantly. I really wanted to experiment more in the world. Other than that, amazing job!
@LandbergLife I think it was because I manually changed the name of the exe, thanks for that should be okay now :)
@hungare thanks for the feedback, I tried to keep all of the levels designed in a forward motion to emphasise that you're pushing on. I did break my rules sometimes especially with the lasers from the ceiling, because I thought they were cool haha. Thanks for the feedback!
Just like the last Jam you impressed me again, great work!
Really good fun, had some trouble when my character would just go walking off on his own and I wasn't sure why. Loved the art!
Great work for doing it in 15 hours!
A really cool point and click adventure, I was thoroughly entertained and I'm going to go back now for another go! One of my favourites I've seen so far. Super polished :D
Loved the art so much, had troubles with the gameplay but overall still fun.
Super cute game :D
Amazing execution, I always am excited to see your entry. I loved how I didn't know I could move the base until I saw an enemy doing the same action, I thought that was a great moment. You have really perfected the art of gamejams.
This is my favourite entry so far, I love the aesthetic, the on boarding of new mechanics for each puzzle and the implementation of the puzzles themselves. I love what you got finished in 48 hours!
A cool little thing, aesthetically it reminded me of Gunpoint. The graphics were great.
I'm overwhelmed by the complexity of it, not really knowing what to do. Like always it's beautiful, but just like everyone else I would have liked a bit of on-boarding first.
Loved the entry! As someone else said, I wish it appeared faster giving it more urgency to the situation. Other than that it was a great game and a solid entry. Never disappointing Napper
Lovely little thing, simple and effective. I did have a crash after restarting and collecting a number of coins. Other than that it was a nice entry, would love to see it grow.
I love how you always attack these, its always interesting to see what you have made  I didn't always understand why I was breaking everything, I just wish that was a little clearer. Other than that good entry!
Even though it was unfinished you can see the potential here and I enjoyed just being in the world looking at the great art. I hope you continue to work on it
A nice little game. The art is brilliant, great work!
Cool idea. My initial concern was the stickiness of the movement, its kind of at a point between grid based and free movement. It's an interesting idea though, good entry!
Hey @falzock, placing how? with the Left mouse button?
Thanks @arch , I had an idea to expand on it and add some depth to the gameplay, but I was so tired and making mistakes that as we can see with the 1024 issue I didn't get them all. I'll keep what you said in mind though as I look to expand it, thanks for the feedback
I was actually going to mention re-positioning the singularities but it looks like you beat me to it. It's an interesting concept and it was fun to play. Great work!
Really enjoyed this little thing, a good solid entry. It would have been good to see more authored content in there as I reached the goal of 100 citizens pretty quickly. I know just like with my game, the time might have not been there anyway to get that in. Other than that I cant fault it. Fun and engaging
Instantly reminded me of Limbo, lovely looking entry. I also loved the mechanic of holding/moving objects as the player moves around the world. It adds a level of plate spinning that I did not even think about. Overall I think this is really great. My only complaint would be that the platforming probably doesn't feel as fluid as it could be. I could see more coming from this idea if you expand on it! Great stuff!
An interesting game, I did get stuck but enjoyed myself until that point. Took me a while to understand what was going on, but then I was on my way. Good entry
Amazing art! I would have liked to see more progression throughout the game but I know that's not always possible during jams. Please keep working on this
I loved it but wow so difficult, I never made it to airplane mode  . The music and audio design were great, it added an extra layer to the intensity. Awesome entry
This is so quaint and beautiful. I love how much verity is included in here along with it's simplicity. Amazing entry!
An interesting idea, took me a little bit to understand what was going on. Would have been nice to have been eased into it, by performing one or two tasks that lead onto the craziness that can ensue. But good attempt
Interesting concept, great work!
I love it. It's simple and enjoyable. I love the look of the water too, even if you felt it chugging along by the end of it. Really interesting tack on the jam. Amazing work!
A nice and simple arena battler with solid controls, it had good feel when playing it. I would have enjoyed if there was some type of progression included. Whether that was with more and/or varied enemies, or with the player character somehow. Other than that great work!
This is a wonderful quaint little thing, I would have really liked it to be in VR but it still worked well anyway. I felt the controls were a bit tough to manage at first and my letters piled up but I quickly mastered it. Thirst got to me in the end, because I couldnt reach the tea. I'm going to have another attempt now. Great work!
I would play this again just for being pulled out into the vacuum of space. I feel like there could be something great here, I just didn't know what was going on until I died. I would love to see you spend more time on this.
This is amazing and I saw that it's your first LD, welcome! The levels were simple and great, with it ramping up each time. I loved the environmental storytelling too. My only complain is that I wish it continued after the last level. Please expand on this!
Really cool little entry. I'd like to see some juice added to this game and you could keep going for hours. Great entry
Great entry. The visuals are amazing on this, its a solid entry that you should develop further.
I got stuck a few times but overall enjoyed being in the world. The creepy characters always looking at me were a nice touch, I felt like the odd one out. Good job :man:
I always look forward to what you have produced. Last LD was one of my favourites and this time its another solid entry. You craft puzzles that appear to be simple, but underneath has so much complexity with slight variations here and there. Keep it up!
I really liked the onboarding that you did in teaching the player what to do with the helpful tips. It was a fun experience
A good solid text adventure, I like to see these in game jams. Good work! :green_book:
Interesting concept for the theme, good effort. The vehicle felt very floaty, I would have liked more weight behind it but I guess we were on another planet.
I've got to HAND it to you, this is amazing. I liked how you still managed to throw in your weird narrative into a card game. It was slick, well presented and creepy as hell. I would love to see what if anything you make from this going forward.
I really wish you would stop being so good at making games
I had fun when I played it at yours. I would have liked the spawning to push up with the player as it was a chore when the player had to restart from the beginning, I was sacrificing my time there  . The shooting was also sometimes a little fiddly. Other than that it is a great entry! I need to revisit the updated version when I have a moment.
I like this. I was creating a narrative for the characters I saved. At one point I had someone that had green hair, so they were Krusty the Clown. I really liked the intro and the title screen being part of the game. It was mechanically solid and enjoyable. Great work :clown:
I really liked the art and the music, especially when the guitar did the waaaa. I found it punishing because I lost a lot of blood and didn't gain much back. Good job :smiley_cat:
Good game, I liked when I would eat a broccoli and run on the bike machine. I wish there was more happening rather than just running around, I would have liked to see the player have to perform laborious household chores that have to be done and detract from the end goal. Other than that, it was a good, simple experience that fitted the theme nicely
This is such a cool idea! The only thing I dislike is how the first game I made in this placed higher than I ever have for an LD  Great entry! I'll keep a look out for what you do next time
Really fun! I loved the sound the sword made, it was really endearing. I felt that when I was trapped in the room the enemies would instantly be spawned on top of me and I wouldn't have time to react to the damage. It was a great looking game, good job :sweet_potato:
Thanks everyone for playing so far
@crazyrems I ran out of time for sound
Very original, it was one of the games that stood out the most from the ones I have played. Good job :hamburger:
Edward Napper gets you five stars in all categories :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: It was great and you can see how your Unreal use has improved greatly! I would have liked it to be a lot faster, for a long time I shot all my guys out and then was twiddling my thumbs for most of it. It would have been nice for it to ramp up much quicker and then go crazy. Earning gold and have lots of enemies coming towards me at once!
Nice dungeon crawler! A map that fills out as the player progresses would have been good. Other than that good job :skull:
Unfortunately I had a bug where the game would freeze when shooting. I liked the idea and it felt good to move around. It's a shame about the bug though :frowning2:
Great, the art was amazing and was some of the best yet. I really liked the change in perspective the closer you got to the hole, it made feel like the focal point. Player feedback would be helpful. Altogether a good game :volcano:
I loved this, I had so much fun playing it! I would like to see you work on this some more, it would be great to see it grow
Original idea, I LOVED the push and pull between growing my mind ship's hearts and dodging the horrible spinning bastards. I had lots of fun, great entry. I would have liked to see something so I could compare my skill to others, e.g. a timer/scoreboard.
Great use of the theme and the art was amazing. Good work!
This is really good for a first time entry, it feels super polished with lots of solid content and you should be proud with that. There was one occasion where I was forced to restart a level because I killed the only enemy that could kill me - you would want to avoid things like that. Maybe make the level as big as the screen so the player can see that there is one enemy. Other than that great work, will enjoy seeing what you make in the future
There is a good base there, it was missing something from the gameplay but I'm not sure what. Also the sacrifice abilities would not work for me, maybe that would have been enough. Good job.
This is amazing! I really liked all the little touches you added to the game to make it feel great (screen shake). I would have liked to see there be some type of penalty for not stopping the enemies that you don't shoot. Other than that it was a great experience and would play again
Gameplay wise this was excellent, I almost felt like every level was that lobby scene in the Matrix. I would also say what art, but I don't care about that when its so fun. Back to playing it again then :stuck_out_tongue:
A nice simple game! My only critic is that i would have liked something more to do, whether that was obstacles you had to overcome, ways to gain more supplies or something else. Other than that good entry
I thought overall it was a great solid entry. I didn't finish it as I felt it was too difficult but there is definitely some promise here. I will look forward to what you release in the future.
What a good entry for this jam, hit the brief and smashed it. The controls and feel worked so well, I am safe to say I shouldn't be anywhere near a forklift in the near future. And those graphics *'chefs kiss'*. Great jam!
Really impressive, your games have had a real leap forward with the introduction of Blender to your toolkit. A concise little game that feels good to play and is so moreish. Slick and cool. Fine work as always!
I've played a couple where you use the level as the mechanic so far, but this one is my favorite. Such a sleek and simple design, had really good feel too. Would have liked to have an end point when I get stuck but that's such a small detail with how the rest of it is. Great jam!
I wish you didn't opt out of ratings, that was really cool. I love a bullet hell, so had so much fun with it. The juice on getting hit too, yum! Great work!
Lovely little jam! Also a Straight Edge reference, top marks just for that  . Really liked it, nice little mechanic and lots of humor too!
Loved it, so fun and I would play it again for those songs again. The backgrounds were so funny too! The only complaint is that I finished it without losing any lives, maybe that isn't a you problem and I was just good at it  . Great jam!
Loved it, a really good adaptation on Snake. Those sound effects had me laughing too, great jam!
Really cool mechanic with some elaborate puzzles that made me sit there and think about it, but not too difficult either. I felt smart solving them. Great jam!
@dingbat That is the absolute dream, thank you very much
@anthony-katona Thanks for playing! I always seem to focus on the atmosphere with my games, I need to branch out. As for the shaking ship I needed ways to sell the payload being sent, not being an artist, I used a bunch of tricks. Glad they seemed to work
@foursay I would have loved to get more endings in this one but only one I’m afraid, it was my first jam back in years so struggled for time as it is. Thanks for playing!
@theparticularpixel Thanks for the feedback!
@tomrijnbeek Thanks for the feedback, I was struggling to get things in and done with this jam. I was very rusty. The pace is something I can look at if I decide to take it forward.
@sudocoffee Hey, thanks for the critical feedback. You were right at the end too! You didn't have to do them in the correct order, it was just a list that could have been completed in any order. You could have picked one item at a time in reverse order, and it would have been correct. Errors will only occur if you have an incorrect item or more than required of a correct item. I should have explained that better in the game. Thanks for playing :v:
@jkazuk Thanks for the feedback, it’s something I should clearly look at in the future  Thanks for playing!
@xuefeng Thank you! I have yours to play on a list already, the cover caught my eye the other day.
@martin-bousquet That is me hacking all your graphics to use for myself. Honestly though I'm not sure, sorry. There's not much going on in that level that would cause that to happen. Nothing is on tick and everything gets cleaned up as far as I'm aware. I'll just say Unreal things  :sob:
@sudocoffee It wasn't, I appreciate the honesty too! Thank you for taking your time to play regardless, I'll try to get to yours later
@scolondev Thank you so much, I did try to sew some dread in there when it went dark as if something could happen. Really glad you enjoyed it. I loved your game too, so it makes it feel even better to get that feedback from you
@egormnc Thanks for taking your time to play it!
@asfdfdfd Hahah I'm glad you got past the hardware issues and got to play it. Thanks for playing!
@wuppos Thanks for the in depth feedback, really appreciate it. I did have a few limits to add more challenge in there, but decided to peel it back so that the story could play out. I've been thinking of different ways to extend it for a post-jam submission, just need to find some time to implement it. Thank you again for playing
@psv-games-studio Thanks for playing, you're one of a few people who have mentioned performance. So I have done some investigating this morning as its a part of the engine I'm not sure about and hopefully I have fixed it for the future. I'll add a post-jam scalable quality version for anyone else who wants to play.
I was playing this all the way through with a big grin on my face, at the start of every round I said to myself this is so silly. Great jam!
Interesting entry, well presented and feels polished. Great jam!
A really fun little entry, loved the innovation in collecting the missing RAM and then using that as a resource to bring back the graphics and functionality. It gave me the feeling of a top down Doom, the gun felt punchy. Great jam!
A really impressive entry, I'm just so bad at it . The music and art is on point, and it feels great to play too. Great jam!
Lovely entry, so much content and really polished. I did have an issue where I couldn't get past a certain point because the ground fell away and I then couldn't reach the next platform :sob: . Other than that it was excellent and I couldn't really fault you for doing that much in 48 hours.
Really interesting entry, had good feel to it and was presented really well. Keeps you coming back for more, great jam!
Lovely little entry, really liked the idea of the drone and how it would go off unlocking things for me. Would have liked it to help me more because I was terrible against the turrets :weary: . Good jam!
This was excellent, I was performing the task for the longest time with that lovely first song playing. Then I thought, what if I throw this cube up there will the song stop :eyes: . Well done! I got a little stuck with the room puzzle, but figured it out in the end. Loved it!
I made my partner play this tonight, I love it so much haha. Weird request, but would you be able to upload the songs?
This is so cool, I love a bullet hell! Really impressed with this, it kicked my ass. The music too, added to the frantic gameplay. Great jam!
This was an impressive entry, really enjoyed it and you gave me enough time introducing the mechanics before it started to get a little crazy. The audio was great too. Well done!
Well done with this entry. Great graphics, audio and game feel. I was just really bad at it because I'm not good at controlling with a keyboard. Great jam!
Really good entry. Proper moreish, I played it for a while. My best was 29 with a height of 5, and then an enemy killed me who was in the sky :sob:. Great jam!
For your first game in a new engine it was a solid piece of work, you should stick with Godot if this was your first go. I'd be looking forward to what you produce in the future. As you said the game is simple but that doesn't stop it being enjoyable, had a good time with this entry. Would have been nice to see this expanded in the levels and have more variation but since it was a first attempt in a new engine I can't moan too much. Great work!
Wow this is excellent! I really enjoyed all of this and played a few times, a really impressive entry. I don't have anything to critique  . The art was great, it made me laugh, it was so polished. All around amazing jam! I expect this to do really well.
I love some FMV! This was a great concept, you smashed the brief. I also totally stuck around until the end just because I'm stubborn :stuck_out_tongue: . Great jam!
This is really cool, you really nail the atmosphere here and I always felt that I was fighting for my life. My only criticism is that it was sooo difficult towards the end of the wave. Other than that I loved everything about it, I could fire that gun all day. Great jam!
Super interesting using the level as a weapon, would like to see this built out further. Felt like I lost a lot of ground quickly when playing, so I'm wondering if that's something that could be improved on. A great concept for the jam and keeps it well on point with the theme. Was simple to understand and felt good to play. Great work!
Really compelling mechanic, felt good to move around the space. The sound was gross at points, I hope my brain doesn't sound like that sloshing around up there  . Great jam!
Incredible, the feel is top notch and its well polished. I have played a bunch of these where the level changes to make the game space smaller and none give the option to increase it so it eventually runs out. This actually allows you to sustain a play session and be defeated when it becomes too difficult. Really enjoyed it.
I had to play it a few times, I lost who I was and I didn't know what was happening. I played again for a final time and managed to reach the end, a funny little experience with a wild ending. Well done!
Really enjoyed this, you mixed it up and kept it fresh throughout. Was sad when it was over, good work.
Really good entry, a light playthrough with some moments where I had to think about what I was doing. Super cute and great art too. Nice jam!
Excellent as always. So polished, all the juice, loved it. It's so good to see this quality of game being pumped out in 48 hours.
Really cool idea, thoroughly enjoyed this one. A little stumped at first but it was quite intuitive and then I smashed through every level. Great jam.
Finally got around to reviewing it, wahooo! Lovely entry. Playing it back now the only problem I had was that blooming mouse wheel, other than that I thought it was excellent. I wish you would stop doing so good and making me look bad 😵
@courtneylapin Yeah the sfx was put into the game in the last two hours and was just me recording my voice on an ipad haha. I should have done something about that.
I made it spiral out of control quickly to not take up too much time for people so they could reach the ending. Maybe a little too aggressively :grimacing:
Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
@rubixnoob13 Thank you for the feedback and for playing. I need to get better with the sound, it was the last thing I implemented and was so rushed. I need to remember to bring the volume right down.
@gus-goucher I was hoping I did enough for a tutorial but it seems not . Thanks for the feedback and playing.
@bentglasstube When making it I couldnt decide to go fully in to just have a game with a main gameplay loop that you could play forever or include some type of story too. I chickened out and went for some story :grimacing: . Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
@nrankin13 Thank you for the feedback and for playing. I should have spent more time thinking about the controls, I was locked in with them pretty early and didn't really do much iterating on them. I also wanted it to be a bit awkward sending units out, but maybe I could have refined them more. Yeah I did plan a more aggressive twist working for a dictatorship, but I ran out of time and just had to thumb something in there.
Yay! Love that it all came together, not happy that I'm not in it anymore though. Well done team!
Absolutely incredible, one of my favorites and its gone in my hall of fame folder for this Jam. I was laughing throughout. Well done!
Damn only 200s on my first attempt, time to play again and get a better score. Really good entry, loved the tutorial as it really helped. Well done!
Really cool game, so chill. Simple but effective mechanics, loved the little cleaning skeleton at the end of the night. Little bits of polish like that make it stand out. Great jam!
Lovely entry, I wish there was more but what you had was solid. I had a problem with your dialogue in the second level, I accidentally died before hearing it complete and it never played again. Even after deleting the game and re-downloading it never played any of them I'd listened to again . Other that it was an impressive entry.
Nice jam. AI might have generated those songs but they were so good haha! I need links to all of them so I can listen to them while I work . Story was cool, I wish I had more to play. Great work, looking forward to what you make in future jams.
Incredible, this ticked all the boxes for me. Not too difficult to understand and I could then ticker with all the stats of my summons to make the ultimate weapon. I destroyed level 10 in like 5 hits :imp:. Putting this into my hall of fame folder to come back to. So good!
Really cool game, loved that I would have to keep getting the book out look through it and then close it to get to my resources. A really solid entry, well done!
A really interesting entry!
Really impressed with this, your graphics are always so cool and I'm so jealous haha. I don't think I would get so scared when all the little bugs were chasing me, but here we are. The only thing I was missing was feedback on hitting them. Great entry!
Nothing prepared me for when a duck went on the road alone :fearful:. The pool ball ducks were a nice little touch. Just wish it was called 'Go Go Ducky'. Lovely jam as always!
Super interesting game, I was hanging around 12% for the longest time then I got my upgrades and wiped them out. My only criticism was it took sooo long to win. But I had a good time playing it. Good jam, well done!
This is really impressive, there is so much going on here. The art is cool, the systems feel robust, such a well executed simulation. Took me a few minutes to understand what was going on but then I started helping out and we started moving. Great entry!
@sviborg really glad you enjoyed the graphics, I had been working on improving them recently and trying to do more with less.
@xlores-liang Thanks for playing. I would have loved to get some deeper puzzles in there and its something I'm going to continue working on for the post Jam.
@designernap Thank you sir.
@shakirovich Thanks for playing, I'll take that as its what I was going for :D
@flojiq I bundled the majority of the last few hours of the jam. I'm glad people liked it. Thanks for taking the time to look at it.
@nazariglez Thanks very much for playing. Glad you liked it!
@tetrergeru I quickly managed to get a variety of enemies that helped add to the suspense, I think it all came together when I got the song in towards the end. I'm also sorry about the ESC, its something I just add to my jams without thinking about it. Maybe its time to have a more considered approach to exit. Thank you for playing it!
@dingbat Hey thanks for the feedback, I've always wanted to go full horror for one of my jams and I'm glad I finally got to have a go
@iustinian Thanks for playing it!
@lakea Thank you. Hopefully it will convince you to play more :stuck_out_tongue:
@frostbeak I was worried about the crawlers moving to quickly because of the one-hit death. I kind of wanted them there a a threat rather than a full blown problem for the player to overcome. Thanks for the feedback and for playing
@deantwotwo Thanks for playing!
@karamelika22 I'm glad you took the time to give it a try. Thanks for the comments
@fint I actually scaled the difficulty back a little because of my testers, maybe I need some better ones next time. As for the healing, there was two ideas floating that I didnt have time to implement. One was I would give the player a different ending depending on how many characters they healed and then they would be persistently healed too. Another was to teach the heal mechanics and then use them in the boss fight in that end room before I cut to credits. But I ran out of time :sob: . I think I do want to implement a boss at the end in a post-jam version when I have fully recovered. Thanks for the great feedback.
@stormsword Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I wanted to keep it slow to increase the tension, maybe there was something I could have done more to balance the pacing a little better so it didnt feel as slow.
I will get to looking at your games in the coming days. Thanks
@unpronounceable haha I’m sorry about that bit. I wanted to get a full save mechanic in and have it as one of two different endings. I also wanted to end on a boss fight. I fully ran out of time and was scrambling to have it just make sense in the last couple of hours. It’s something I’m going to try to implement for a post jam update after I’ve played Silent Hill 2
Thanks so much for the feedback and for playing.
@silkworm-sweatshop Thanks for playing, I needed the checkpoints in as I knew it would be a pain to have the players play it all again. I'm glad they helped
@henk I'm a level designer in my day job so it was actually nice to focus on some in a gamejam for once rather than it being one small space. As for the doors, I tried with little dots on the keycards to do something to help with it but I think the color approach would have been the better solution. I always worry about the accessibility if I start using colors so tried something different, I guess I just need to make it clear first. Thanks for playing
@geckoo1337 The Thing is one of my favorite movies, I wanted to the small creatures to be used as the essence for the horror. Thanks for playing!
@foursay The fall at the end was a last minute thing because I didn't have an ending, I really wanted to do a boss fight but ran out of time. It was really nice to do some level design to drive the story this time. Thank you for taking your time to play it!
@lebossmax2 I'm so glad the creepy came through, I think the music and sound does a lot of the heavy lifting and I'm so happy with them. Thanks so much for playing
This is a great entry. I managed to get to 5:36, I was holding out for so long an then all my health started vanishing. I need to try again and get a better score :D . Well done with this!
A really fun game when you get to grips with the power meter. And those people on the starting path, so mean :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: . Great jam!
I have always wanted to try making something in GDevelop and with how good this was I might dip my toes in. This is everything I want from an entry bleeding with so much mood. Its well polished and I'm really impressed with the art and what you got done in the time frame. Great entry!
This is such a good entry, that intro had me laughing. The art was incredible and so was the audio. Really cool concept and well executed! Great jam
A nice simple entry, hit the mood perfectly. Really enjoyed it!
Such a fun little entry. The art is excellent too, I wish more games would do it. Great jam!
Always love your entries, great work on this one.
Love everything about this! It plays well and is easy to understand, it has variety with the different things that attack you in the Survive stage, also when the survive stage happens it goes wild with all the text on the screen and I really enjoyed that about it. It felt more panicked because of it. I would have loved to see more juice thrown at the survive stage and for it to go even more insane. But other than that it was a really enjoyable entry. Great jam!
The mood in this game *chefs kiss*. Really good and it looked incredible! I think the crawlers in your game were a bit more scary than mine. Incredible work!
An interesting take on the theme, I wish we could combine the fish quicker and see more of the content. Other than that it was a solid entry, well done!
Great presentation with this one and really polished. You have a solid mechanic that works well and good escalation in the difficulty throughout. The graphics were impressive and the dust bunnies were cute. Great Jam!
This was great! Like everyone else said the playmat was so good. I put a few good rounds into this. I can see me coming back to it  . Lovely entry!
Really interesting entry, for a jam i think its the perfect amount of game. I would love to see this grown into something bigger with more interaction, bigger levels and more mimics to find. The art was really good and the entry was really well polished also. Great jam!
A cool little entry you have made here with good progression. It was frustrating to get stuck if I wasn't precise but with how quick you got back into the action it alleviated some of that pain. Keep away from me you damn corporates. Well done on your entry!
A really cool take on the theme, really impressed with what you made here. I hated the bomber so much, it would mess up my day. I didn't know what to do with the plane until I came here to read the controls again. Other than that it was a well polished and well executed game. Great jam!
Really cool take on breakout, I got squished so much. Great entry!
I did not have bumping around as a tank bunny destroying spiders on my plans for today but here we are  . Really good entry, intuitive controls and really good graphics. Great jam!
Good entry, I was creeped out! The art was impressive.
Love when entries go wild, being a trumpet player is insane and I love it.
pinhead.png
Such a great entry. It took me a moment to understand what was going on but then I really got into it. My little creation Morrow will forever live in my heart. Also the father moving animation was really good, that was probably my favourite part haha. Awesome jam!
This is extremely sweet, such a good entry!
Everyone is saying Cuphead, but it really reminds me of Kraid form the Metroid series. Really liked it, good attack patterns and variety of attacks. The only thing I feel like I needed from both the boss and me was more feedback. Other than that a really impressive effort. Even the build up was entertaining . Great Jam!
Loved this, I felt like the mouse with the difficult controls. Really entertaining!
Nice little entry, the art was really good and one of the books make me laugh. I would have liked to know what was a platform more other than the barely visible blocks that were there. Other than that it was fun to play. Just keep that arm away from me.
This feels so full for a compo entry, I love to see how much people can get done in the time. Played really intuitively and the art was great to boot. Great entry.
The art is really impressive, nice idea for the theme. Good jam!
Really enjoyed what you had, a solid game throughout. Well done!
Really good entry here, lots of work. Movement was good yet challenging. Well done!
This is your best game yet, a really great experience filled with tension, discovery and fear. The more you use blender the more I want to try it, so I think I'll have to learn it properly before the next Jam but don't hold me to that. Apart from a couple of bits that you saw on stream, I felt the level design was intuitive and I could explore and find where I needed to go. The only thing I wish I could have had was some more charges, but that's the only thing functionally I could nitpick at.
Really cool idea with slick execution. Such a good entry, well done!
This was a wonderful entry, every component seemed to work as intended. I loved it
@maxem4ek Thanks for the feedback. Picking the tools up each level was a design choice for the final level. Sorry that you couldn't reach the end
@psychomonster Thanks for playing, the pad was the last piece I added and I think I might have gone a bit too far with adding that as I could have been focusing on my levels more.
@jk5000 Thanks for playing!
@haokai-xu-1999 Sorry I'm not sure how to do that with Unreal.
@anton-florey Thanks for the feedback, I wanted the fact you keep having to pick up the items on each level make it hit harder on the last. Glad you picked up on that. As for the GPU stuff, I always try to cram so much in that I never optimize enough and then I get comments like this :sob: . I really need to get better with that stuff when using Unreal for my Jams.
@anton-florey Hey thank you, I use Unreal everyday. It surprises me how much I can blast out.
@billy-monks Thank you for playing. Yeah I was trying to balance Stan talking and seeing it all. I'm really bad at optimizing for Unreal, sorry about that.
@apt-prose7 Thank you for playing!
@rack47 I wish I had maybe done a bit less guiding and given a bit more fending for yourself, but I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for playing.
@smilewood Yeah the orb was annoying and nothing I tried would fix it, I think I left it too late to fix with my sleepy game. Thank you for taking your time to play it
Great mood here, lovely entry to the jam. It was creepy throughout and had me on my toes, good work!
Great entry, took me a while to get there but was a fun experience. That boss was so difficult  . Well done!
Loved this, such an interesting puzzle game, great entry. It was a little fiddly reordering the dynamite, and my only other problem is that I ran out of content :stuck_out_tongue: . Well done!
Good tone, simple and intuitive, I enjoyed reaching the new powers and the texts between levels. Great jam.
Instantly loved the dialogue when it started, made me laugh. This is one of the better games I have played this jam, really impressed with this.
Really cool entry to the jam, loved all the puzzles and how they connected and just the general progression through the levels. The art was wonderful and makes me really need to start making things in blender. I just wish there was a bit more story to it, but with how well you did everything else it wasn't missing that much. Super impressed!
This game isn't mid, I really enjoyed it. AM I MID FOR LIKING IT? :fearful: Great work for only a few hours.
As former QA, I loved this and it brought me right back to the days of testing haha. Some of the bugs that occurred with the doors had me laughing out loud. Excellent entry!
Excellent horror entry, that was the spookiest of moods. Great work here.
Great entry, loved the progression through the levels. You built yourself a solid tool kit with some solid ideas and then went in hard on the content. Really good work!
Loved this and breezed through it on the starting difficulty, I'm going to have to have another go now on a harder difficulty. Great entry.
Great concept, struggled with the controls at first but then really got going. The mood here is outstanding. Amazing work
This is so good and it feels great to play, a tight entry.
This is insane and I love it, great jam!
Love this, so cute and cozy. Crows are my favourite birds so it was nice being one cawing as I go. Really liked the graphics and almost PSX aesthetic. The only thing I was missing was some nice relaxing music while I lose my time in it. Really great work here
Cool idea, I liked the art you went with. Everything worked well, I just wish there was a bit of juice or audio in it to give it a bit more life. Overall well done!
This game is dripping with style with the titles and sound effects, I'm jealous of them. Got little jump scares throughout the later levels. I love the enemy character that you have created, the look and feel from them is incredible and I love the sequence of what happens when collect them. So many levels too, lots of work has gone into this one for a compo. Some really great thinking outside the box for elements of this, amazing work!
Really cool entry! Loved the art and the atmosphere, think you will score highly with those. Great work
@bereg Yeah, you got in before I managed to do all that admin stuff in the morning. I barely slept through this jam so had to put that off, glad that you managed to find it though. My goal for this LD was to go narrative deep and do something non-linear. Thanks for playing and the feedback
@captaindreamcast My only issue with the game was I wanted to have more of an enemy in the final section, but I'm no good at making characters or anything art-wise, but I'm still glad it spooked you. Yeah I wanted to throw the players into the action, because I often feel like my games start slow and maybe everyone doesn't wait until then end. This hopefully gives that extra incentive for people to stick around. Thank you for playing and taking your time to give feedback
@evil23 Thank you, I'm no good with art so it was minimal or attempt something and it would be 10 times worse with no time haha. Yeah, that was a design intention. I wanted to have the collecting moment there, but for people to move on to see the rest of the game. Thanks for the feedback and for taking your time to play it.
@nekowei Thank you for playing.
@avhatar It took me so long to get all this done, I was down to the wire. Sorry there wasn't enough there for you :sob:. Thanks for playing.
@ace17 I'm not sure how to make a Linux version, I'm not very good with computers other than making a game in Unreal or Gamemaker haha. I'm an idiot, I will see what I did there and why it isn't accessible.
@wallted Thanks so much, I really wanted to play around with telling a story this time. Although a simple one, I waned to try and have it where it would jump around, cut and not give the full narrative leaving the player to fill in the blanks to make it more of their own experience. Thanks for taking your time to play it.
@d-demetori Thanks for playing!
@keys-presser I might expand on it down the line, thanks for playing.
@pincushion Thanks for the feedback, I was just trying to get the player through to the ending this time round and didn't want anything to outstay its welcome. I was so pressed for time making all the content and implementing the spaces that I had to simplify it all. Maybe to its detriment in the end. Thanks for taking your time to play it.
@atsh I'm glad you picked up on that, between chapters 1 and 2 I wanted to use the same space but show that time had passed. I cluttered it up with lots of containers as if they had been there a while and collected so much debris from the war that they were running out of room. Thanks for the other points too, I couldn't figure out the text one at the time and it annoyed me, and being so pressed for time I didn't even think about the crouch. Great feedback, and thanks for playing.
@theoratkin I get this a lot, I think it was my old monitor and how it was set. I would see things easier than others. I got a new one so hopefully I won't have these issues in the future. Thanks for playing.
@ty-victorson I wish I could have done something with the animations, I just ran out of time :sob: . Thinking about it now I could have made smarter decisions with it, maybe even cut to black and come back in. Thanks for playing and finding that bug :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
@ssar-5190 Thank you for playing!
@island-jam-2-group-3 Thank you, thanks for playing.
@deadjolly Thanks for taking the time to play it. I love how starting at Chapter 3 gets everyone. And was she, I intentionally leave it vague so players can come to different conclusions themselves
@kanagg You’re right. It should probably be “adventure game with a non-linear story” rather than a non-linear adventure game 😅. Thanks for the feedback and for playing. I’ll update that now before I forget.
Absolutely love this, and incredible that it was only made in five hours. The elegance of the mechanics in this game shine through. Was sad when it ended. Impressive work.
Great humor in this one, I laughed when I was throwing the previous humans at the other guys in the last level. Great work.
The gameplay loop here really keeps you going, its snappy and responsive. Would have liked to see a bit of juice in there to push it a bit further, but what you have is a solid base. Great entry
Cool idea, can imagine a lot went into this. Would have been nice to have something to do during the run. Other than that I can see what it is and I dig it. Good work
A nice effort for making a card auto-battler for a game jam, love the ambition. The art is lovely and the music takes you away to the place. Could see this being expanded. Great work.
Really cool idea for a simple collection card game, I liked it. Felt polished and worked as intended throughout. Would have been nice to see a little juice in there as it feels very clean otherwise, would have pushed it that little bit further, but I know timing and fitting everything in that you want is tough. Overall a good entry and I expect you to do well
This was incredible, I went in blind and it should have clicked with the name. Love anything with cryptids! Everything worked well, the narration had me laughing out loud. The environment and the characters were amazing. It had everything here, even Fred. Really well done with this.
Took me a little moment to figure it out, but once I had all the pieces moving I was in. Great work with this!
Cool game, the enemy was intense and gave the whole competition of collecting the money that bit of spice that was needed. They really didnt like me though as I often died  . Like others have said it would work well in a multiplayer setting. Great jam here
Great game, solid mechanics and art. Can see this doing well. Great jam.
Great use of the theme here, I love ripping packs. Like others have said I had issues reading the text, but making the game full-screen helped. Good work!
Cool entry, took my stupid brain a little moment to get used to the controls because of the isometric view. Loved how polished it felt, responsive driving, had some nice ui elements with the mail timing out and the collectibles in the world. This is a great entry.
Really cool idea, it gets so chaotic that I felt like I was losing control of the situation. The hints were given to the player and I managed to stop the terrorists. My problem was that I didn't know I was successfully stopping anyone and it would have been nice to be given feedback on that. I think it was a great concept and well executed. Great work.
Really into this! I like the addition of the post-it notes on the side of the screen keeping everything contextual. The atmosphere is really good here, and I love the sounds that you have made here, especially the collection sound. Great work!
Really cool entry that felt really polished. Took me a few days to figure out what was going on, but when I got those upgrades I started to get going. Had to replay to finish it, but that didn't matter because I was having fun. Great work.
I love how all your games have their own distinctive style, it looks great and really enjoy the world. I want to steal those smoking pipe for the future. I got a little confused at the start because of the delay with the indicating. But quickly got to grips with it and I escaped. Shows how skilled you are at Unreal with the shorter game jam you ran because of other commitments. Great work!
@nit Thanks for playing, I think I went a bit overboard with the level design and drew it out too much. It interfered with the pacing.
@bereg Thanks for playing, those are some really cool suggestions. I tried to focus so much on the main mechanics use and how it affected the world that when I needed some extra lock and key items, they fell by the wayside.
@designernap Thank you as always.
@jk5000 Hey, can I ask what is really unfinished with it? I guess the art is a blockout level of art, but I felt like there was a lot of content in there. Just want to pick your brain. Thanks for playing.
@captaindreamcast Thanks for playing! My games are usually fairly simple, I felt this was one of the first times where I have focused on the design of a single mechanic that the player controls and how it encompasses the whole game. Some really big praise in there :D
Great entry here. I felt so bad sending those probes out in space when I was terrible at it :D. The mechanic kept me engaged and keep going to reach that next planet. Lovely stuff
Hey, nice entry here. I really liked how the more time ran out the more stressful it got. I didn't really have any issues of navigating around the space. It would have been really nice to have a little bit extra friction that the player had to fight against, but for a compo this is absolutely fine with what you have done. Great job! :D
The audio was really good, I'm surprised that you're getting rated for that. I had a hard time tuning to the frequency without getting hurt nearly every time :'(. Your art is cool, lovely entry.
Excellent Jam entry, eased me in with the puzzles and they were really intuitive. Really clean design.
