I really like the music! And your hiding tiles visual effect looks really good too. I enjoyed it a lot.

When the robot said "ow" the first time, I became extremely emotionally invested. It was great getting to play your game! One thing I do wish though is that the camera moved below your character a bit more so it was easier to see where you were going to drop down into.
Quests? And a storyline? In my compo game? I liked it and it has a great vibe. You should definitely spend a bit of time shaping it up into your original vision, if you can find the time! :) I didn't find myself really engaging with the enemies or the shooting, because I could just whizz past them to the quest marker, but I didn't mind.
I liked it a lot! But I couldn't figure out the checkpoint after the underwater section, I kept getting stuck in the little pool of water right after it cause I couldn't stop my momentum :( But overall it was fun and I really appreciated how you introduced the mechanics one by one.
I would have liked a bit more description of what you're supposed to do, even in the description on this page, because I had to go to the comments to figure it out :P but regardless, I think this is an interesting game mechanic and you could do something really cool with it if you expand upon it a bit.
Nice game, I like the atmosphere you created with the sound and the subtle tilt of the sub when you move down. And the... effect of the special item... was sweet!
@jcmonkey Hahaha, yeah, I didn't have time to add safeguards for stuff like that LOL. I just used the foolproof method of "hope the player doesn't try to break things" :) There is a main path you're supposed to follow that involves minimal digging.
@gargantuan-janitor Thank you! I was really happy with the dynamic reverb.
@mod-wiz Thank you very much for the kind words and for playing! The reverb effect isn't raytraced, I just check how far away the nearest wall is above, left, and right of the player, and use those distances to change the "size" parameter of the reverb. Sorry about the ropes, I'm aware it's a bit janky but I didn't have time to fix them during the jam. Hope it wasn't too much of a hinderance.
