great game! 👑
I really liked the pixel style - the design is just amazing! 🎨 Every detail looks detailed and adds a special atmosphere to the process. The gameplay is exciting, and the mechanics of the heir's growth are original and unusual. Great job, I want to play again and again! 👍🎮

Cool concept! Nice retro style. Get little bit confused at start. Text readability is not that good.
I did it, I raised the perfect heir! My final strategy was spending it all on saplings first, then turning them into money, and finally using my incredible heir-sale-acquired riches on turning Thornevald into an absolute 100% specimen with potions. Very fun game, I had a great time figuring out a good strategy to get an heir the quickest way. My first attempt was trying to just spawn a lot of potential heirs and see if one of them works out, but that didn't work out so well, so it was the butcher for them. On that note, I liked how there were a lot of mechanics at play here, like you had the farmer, the alchemist and the knight to manage your gold resource. The different fully grown potential heirs were a nice touch, I liked how it looked when you planted a dozen of them all over the place, slept a couple days, and then you had the lineup present in the garden, that was a nice visual. All around very well done, great job!

Graphics looked nice. The medieval font is cool but made the reading slightly hard.

I managed to complete it, very good entry, the only thing I didnt like was the font, it needed to be more high res to make the letters more defined and easier to read.

What an interesting idea! The art is solid, but the gameplay gets a bit monotonous after a while, since most of your time is taken by dragging creatures to plant or slaughter. The font is nigh unreadable, but thankfully there's not a lot of text. Nevertheless, I had a good time playing the game. Good job!

I really appreciate the Feedback, my first job once this jam is over will be fixing the font! For now the best way to fix it is to play the game in Fullscreen. I'll try spice up the gameplay a bit too, I'll think on some ideas while the rest of the voting period plays out.
Thanks a bunch for all the positive reviews, it's really nice to hear <3

Cute game within a dedicated visual style! Gameplay became a little bit boring over time, however this game creates a solid mood, so GREAT WORK!
Such a great entry. It took me a moment to understand what was going on but then I really got into it. My little creation Morrow will forever live in my heart. Also the father moving animation was really good, that was probably my favourite part haha. Awesome jam!

The text was almost completely unreadable
Fun adventure game, and I love the tone! Just to let you know, the itch.io link does not work! It says you still need to publish the game? Just a heads up!
@brotherbrody Oops lol I'll get on that, thanks for letting me know!

For anyone that is confused at the start (I also was) you just wait for the sprout to grow by going mutliple times to bed. The idea is good I liked it, the audio was very annoying tho

I enjoyed the unusual premise!
The pixel art is charming, and I loved the concept of growing and managing heirs! The mechanics with the farmer, alchemist, and butcher kept things interesting. Any plan on expand or polish it? Well done!
@nazariglez
I'm defo gonna polish it up and fix the browser version, other than that I guess I'll see what ideas I have over the next week or two.
Right now I think I want a better tutorial for sure, and I'm thinking of adding multiple endings. So if you wanna check that out drop me a follow on itch or smth <3
Let me know if you have any ideas!

The text print sound at the beginning was really hardcore! :D Maybe a bit lighter sound would be more fitting to the game. Anyway, I liked tha art style, it was cohesive and immersive. Though I felt lost at some points, didn't really know which potion did what. While the text at the beginning was a bit... too much for me ^^ Maybe the sprouts could have grown a bit faster, it was a bit confusing that I had to sleep multiple times at the beginning before I could do anything. Anyway, that's all my critique, nice job, keep up the good work, congrats! :)

Fun game, the art style was nice too look at and the sound effects was nice, the text was a little hard to read though and I struggled a bit to grasp the game at first but it became more clear to me as I played.
very confusing game, the text was also difficult to read so i kinda skipped the entire intro sorry :frowning2:
I liked the style a lot, the gameplay was interesting and I didn't really understand at first but I got the hang of it and at a certain point it was just raising and selling crops then giving potions to my favourite. It feels like a lot of passion went into the story and the overall idea and that's always awesome to play through! Really great entry!
I really enjoyed the way this game forces me to take my time in my actions by deliberately drawing it out slowly. The UI and hitbox interactions were a little frustrating. Thank you for making this cool game.

I've recently typed out a guide that should solve some of the issues caused by the terrible font. After the jam ends I'll take a look at fixing it but until then the guide should help explain what's going on.
If you get a minute please consider giving my game another try, I think it's worth it <3

Very nice game! The choice of font wasn't maybe optimal as it was a bit difficult to read. I liked the atmosphere although struggled a bit to figure out how everything worked. Impressive amount of depth

Very unique! The story raises so many questions... I really liked the use of color, and how the dialogs for each character read like sinister contracts.
The gameplay didn't seem to require much strategy, though. For example, after planting sprouts there didn't seem to be any reason _not_ to spam the bed over and over again to make them all grow up. Maybe potential heirs could decay/die over time?
I really like the crunchy sound effects and the graphical style too! The font was very difficult to read though. Definitely an interesting entry, very good too!
This game has a great mood and was pretty funny and unique. I rudely skipped some text, but had a great time dragging around sprouts and exploring the bizarre world.
Great mood and graphical style. I liked the variation of creatures!
What a wonderfully and unapologetically weird game. Really neat- I made the perfect heir.
