Very interesting concept game, only a one pet, only a one jump, etc..., music it's cool, and visual art too, good job!
Nice physics and quite original concept!
Yeah! i love this game, the best of this LD :D
Really enjoyed the game! The physics feel great, and the simple pixel art gives it a nice, clean look. Moving the bugs around using the lights was really cool and made the puzzles fun to solve. Overall, it's a polished and creative experience!
Building your own engine is always a challenge, and you pulled it off nicely! The critter animations are fantastic, and I really enjoyed the battle system concept. The elemental advantage chart adds a lot of potential strategy to the gameplay. Excited to see how you expand on this. Gj!
Nice concept, it actually gave me some ideas for my next game. I did miss a bit of feedback when collecting items, but overall it’s a nice and chill experience. Great job!
Great to see a game made from scratch without an engine! The story and lore are engaging, though clearer feedback on actions would improve the experience. Lots of potential for expansion!
Fun and nostalgic! Reminds me of classic browser games. The leaderboard adds great replay value, and the humor is a nice touch. Simple but well executed. Gj!
The art style is great, and the humor adds a fun touch! The fling mechanic is cool but took a bit to get used to. I missed having a browser version, but overall it was enjoyable. Any plans to expand or refine it? Gj!
Beautiful visuals and super satisfying gameplay! The color changes while eating are a nice touch, and the simple mechanics make it really fun. A bit of sound variation would enhance it, but overall, it's a charming and relaxing experience. Well done!
This game gave me Slither.io vibes, and I loved it! The visuals and sound were great, and growing the creature while unlocking power-ups was super satisfying. Gj!
Hahaha nice evolution of the classic snake, I love the art. gj!
Nice aesthetics! That mix of 3D with a retro style has its own unique charm. Gj!
@ejunegao I love this: `After getting the last upgrade, I wonder if the shadow realm once had a god who upgraded for them, but then abandoned them.` I might use this idea if I expand the game into a full version. Thanks for the inspiration!
@bad-fetus I’ve just uploaded a performance update, so the lag should be fixed now. I think you were the first in end the game. Thanks!
@rpgwanderer No sound, sorry! That’s on me, I opted out after release. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
@dhim @crishnate Awesome screenshots, thanks for sharing!
A big thank you to everyone! I know it can be frustrating at first and tough to know what to do, but it’s amazing that many of you played through to the end. I really appreciate your patience and all the feedback. I’m planning to expand the game beyond the Ludum Dare version, and I'll be incorporating your feedback into that.
@adamg You’re right! The game really lacks visual feedback, and not having sounds is a bummer. I'm thinking about uploading a post-Ludum version on itch.io, and maybe even turning this into a full game with all the feedback we’ve gotten. Thanks for playing!
@lightningst Appreciate it!
@pincushion That’s awesome! Thanks for the feedback! I definitely need to rethink the blessings to make them better and more balanced!
Thanks @maximeg!
@neoawesomeon The code is available if you want to take a look. Thanks you so much for your kind words!
@henk Nice catch! Sorry for the inconveniences, I just updated, thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the kind words @thesmellofoxygen @samuel-fine!
@fabula-rasa I understand that idle/incremental games aren't everyone's cup of tea, but it's a genre I personally enjoy, and it fits well with my engine. Thanks so much for the feedback!
@aligator Thanks!!
@whitefox Yeah, one of the issues is that it's hard to understand what's going on or what you're supposed to do. Mainly, the Circle of Grace doesn't do anything by itself, it just makes the blue souls follow it, and they're the ones that convert nearby souls while inside the circle. That's why you can't convert neutral souls that are alone. I'm definitely taking all this feedback into account to improve the game after the jam. Thanks for your kind words!
@stracker You have no idea how happy I am with this comparison. Myco is a fantastic game designer, and Gnorp is exactly the type of game I aspire to create. I’d love to take this idea further and make a Steam game like Gnorp. Thank you so much for your feedback!
@bzoo345 @nickhellquist Thank you so much for the kind words!
@paulhocker oh wow! Almost 4k souls, amazing! Thanks for sharing your snapshot, I see that the UI is too small in your screen, I'll take that into account for next games making it adaptable in the same way as the game world. Thanks!
@notnasiul I’m glad you enjoyed the game and found the soul mechanic interesting. Thanks for playing!
@unitedfailures Awesome! That’s my strategy too, dividing them into small groups and trapping them in corners or encircling them. Thanks for playing!
@orbitaldot Thanks! I am very happy that you liked it!
Thanks @ronn-fever!
@loveapplegames Totally agree with your feedback, there is so much room from improvements. Thanks for your feedback!
@andruid Awesome! I am very glad that you liked it, what a play you made there! Thanks for playing!
@purplexy Thanks for playing and sharing the screenshot! It’s definitely challenging, and I’ll work on balancing that better for the steam version.
@just-a-dev Your feedback is really interesting! I think you're the first to notice (or at least say out loud) that you can't lose the game when you're using the circle. And yes, you also can’t lose once you have the Eternals! Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts!
@owlycode @frozenfire92 Thanks so much! I’m really glad you both liked it!
Totally agree! The first version did use keyboard shortcuts. I’m not sure why I removed them and switched to mouse. Having both would definitely be better. Thanks for the feedback!
@zbrogdom Sorry, the comment above was meant to you!
Thanks @co5monaut!
@sasa-2010 thanks!
Hello @tanis, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, it’s a shame the game doesn’t have sound, I ran out of time. I considered making a post-jam version with sound, but I decided not to change too much while voting is still ongoing. I really appreciate your feedback!
@j0ye Thank you! You're right, a tutorial was definitely needed. I didn’t think of it because I was rushing to have something finished before the deadline. Next time, I’ll plan for it from the start. Thanks for your feedback!
@quackqack thanks!
Great atmosphere and mechanics! Loved the firefly puzzle system, and the voice acting fit perfectly. Sometimes it was tricky to know where to go, but overall gj!

Really fun game! Loved the concept and art. I was stressed trying to kill the bugs before the inspector saw them. I didn't have any sound though, not sure if that's a bug or if there just isn't any yet. Great job!
The atmosphere you created is really immersive, the art and sound work perfectly together. I really liked the critter mechanics, but the controls felt a bit tricky at times. Gj!
Btw, links are broken, only github works.
I can see myself playing this on my phone every day as people do with wordle. Will you expand it or create a full game from it? The idea is great, gj!
I’d love to see the store open when the level starts, or at least a hint to click on 'Shop' to get going. Adding the ability to sort the order after a purchase would be a great addition too. Really loved the pixel art and gameplay. I'm a big fan of Tower Defense games. Gj!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere! The black, white, and red color palette was a great choice, giving the game a tense and creepy vibe. Great work!
I really enjoyed your game! The emoji communication is super fun, and the art style is great. It’s impressive how you managed to integrate an LLM! I’d love to see more games explore this concept. Gj!
Nice game! Playing against the NPC is fun, but it seems like it's be even better with 2 players. I have a minor issue with the gameplay, when the blue player (or the other player) runs out of moves, the game should end. Overall, I really enjoyed it. gj!

Really impressive game for 48 hours! The art style is great, and I enjoyed the puzzles. It can feel a bit long with all the running around, but the atmosphere and details make up for it. Well done!
The art and atmosphere are fantastic! The lighting, parallax, and 90s horror vibe really stand out. Amazing visuals. Gj!
Great game! Loved the variety in weapons and systems. The shooting could feel a bit snappier, but overall gj!
Gj using GameMaker to create this! The cute art style and impressive 2.5D implementation really shine. The gameplay is fun, especially protecting the tiny creatures from hunters, and it has a lot of potential for future improvements. It's quite impressive what you've managed to pull off with this engine!
The art style is really charming, and the game has a fun, frantic vibe. The characters' messages add a nice touch of humor. Adding sound would take it to the next level, but it's already an enjoyable experience as is!
Really fun concept! The visuals and humor worked great together, but I think more feedback in the interface would help, especially with acorn counts and odds. Gj!
This game really deserves more attention, it’s awesome! The creature movement mechanics made the puzzles super fun, and the art and music added a lot to the vibe. Really solid work, especially for just 48 hours!

The art in the game is pretty awesome! It really adds to the whole vibe and makes it stand out. A browser version would make it even easier to test and enjoy. Gj!
The colorful honeycomb and bee management are fun and engaging. The audio adds a playful charm, though the timer feels a bit short. Great concept and enjoyable to play!
The atmosphere and art style were spot on, adding a lot to the tension of the game! The concept is really fun, though dodging those eyes was tough. It was sometimes hard to see my character behind obstacles, but overall, I really enjoyed the experience. Gj!
Great concept and clever puzzles! The nanobot connection mechanic is really fun, though moving them can be tricky at times. Gj!
Great game, really nice for only 48 hours, I missed more levels! gj!
Great atmosphere! The retro-style graphics and sound design worked perfectly to create a spooky and immersive vibe, giving off a PS1-era game feel. The creatures were unsettling, and the tension kept building as I explored. Really impressive for a compo game. Gj!

Awesome atmosphere! The platforming and puzzles felt satisfying, but the fast movement with the zoomed-in view made it tough to react sometimes. Also, interacting with elements was a bit confusing at times. The sound really added to the mood. Gj!
Loved the art style and the concept of turning scrap into robots! The gameplay was engaging, but the text felt a bit small when not in fullscreen (especially on retina displays). Gj!
Really fun concept! The movement feels smooth, and I love the art style. The idea of controlling two bugs adds a cool twist to the gameplay. The charge mechanic was a bit unclear, though, it would help to have some visual feedback when charging. Overall, it’s a neat game that could shine even more with some polishing. Gj!
The little microbes are super cute, and the concept is really fun! Drag-and-drop was a bit finicky at times. Still, a solid and unique puzzle game, gj!
Fun concept! Enjoyed the challenge of mutating and infecting new areas. The vibrant colors worked well with the simple graphics. Minor feedback: the game appeared a bit cropped on retina displays. Gj!
Really enjoyed the art and music! The bullet patterns were fun, but it was hard to know when I got hit since there wasn’t much feedback. It's a challenging bullet hell, gj!
Great atmosphere and mechanics! Took a bit to understand, but once I did, it was really fun. Loved the art and the fact you're using libraries instead of an engine. Gj!
Great humor and sound design! The gameplay is fun, and I loved the concept of shrinking down to fight bugs. The platforming was challenging but satisfying once I got the hang of it. Gj!
Loved the unique concept and fun pixel art! Building and customizing your monster was a blast. Figuring out the black pixel mechanic was a bit tricky, but it made the gameplay more interesting. Gj!

Great concept and humor! The goblins vs. cats theme is super fun, and the turret building challenge adds a nice layer of strategy. Loved the art and sound effects. Gj!
