The art had me invested. Cute story!

The art had me invested. Cute story!
Really cool concept. I really like the Scenes that drive the story. So simple but right for the mood! The only thing I missed was a level reset when I failed to jump on a platform. I just fell forever. :D
Props for getting a beginning, middle and end to your game! I liked the platforms made out of flowers. I would say there was a bit too much dialogue before being able to play.
Love the art!
It looks like I fell forever after missing a lillipad on my first attempt, but when I tried again I could see the ending!
@frostbeak thank you so much <3
@tavox @kingmaharg thank you both for playing and the feedback! I put the level reset (and checkpoints) on my to-do list :D
@vipaka thank you for playing! I'm thinking about having the dialog go to the point of shrinking, then walking a bit in the game before meeting the first mushroom
The art is great. Falling off and not getting reset is unfortunate. The level feels very empty. The implementation of the theme is great but it lacks the meat and potatoes that make a game.
@sutt00 thank you for playing and giving feedback! I'm already planning some little dialogues with the mushrooms along the way. Thinking about adding obstacles and puzzles after the rating is done (once I figure out how to code these) ^^
This is super cute! The art is SO SO adorable, I love the sketchy art style in the beginning and the adorable gameplay. This is an amazing feat for a solo project!! <3
@weefairyfabi thank you so much for your kind words!! I tried my best with the little knowledge I had of my engine ^^ I'm glad you liked it <3
Funny game! I liked it!
Very cute adventure story! Although the current content is not yet full, I feel the interesting potential of this work and look forward to the improved version in the future! (BTW, I also have a jam work. If you can have a try and leave some suggestions, we will be very grateful! THX! )
I felt out of the world :) but the game cute. Also, I didn't really got how lore connected to the game play.
aw that was really cute. the cutscene art is beautiful, i love it. the gameplay itself is basic but fun. also dont know if there is a way to respawn but it should happen automatically after falling in a gap. some audio wouldve been nice. but very charming game. i loved my time. great work!
I love the narrative in the beginning but game is still missing some basic win/loss mechanics. I fell out of the world and had to restart.
Congrats on your submission. Please keep working on this game and participating in future jams!
Awesome game, surprisingly engaging. Awesome artwork as well, great job!
@jared-saizdelamora @kirass thank you for playing! <3
@brainles-etertainment @pijinguy @rkhadder thank you all for playing!
I put the respawn/reset and checkpoints on my to-do list, so that the version after the ratings won't have an endless fall xd Audio will also be added in the new version (but I will only publish it after the ratings to keep things fair)
Again thank you for your kind words and suggestions! ^^
@shallowkong thank you for your encouraging words! (I'm going to your game now ^^)
Hi, you made a very cute game, I really liked the drawing, especially the opening and ending screensavers. Overall, the game is quite simple, but I see that you tried very hard, so keep it up. Of course, I would like some additional game mechanics, but you know what, it was cool and cute anyway =)
@tentacledream thank you for playing and for your kind words! <3 I'm planning to put in a few small puzzles and some obstacles after the rating is done ^^
That was a very cute game and I liked your drawings to tell the story  I think your controls could be a bit snappier. The character feels quite floaty you can try to play with the amount of gravity for that, there are some great Youtube videos on that subject if you search for "good 2D platformer controlls" or something similar. But very nice work so far, especially for being new to the engine  And I think you can delete the embedding on this site if it doesn't work
I love the art in this game! The sizing of the game was a little weird for me though. I had to change the zoom settings on my browser for the whole game to display. I'd recommend changing some settings in Godot to fix this:
in Project Settings -> Display -> Window
Godot 4: set Stretch mode to 'viewport'
Godot 3: set Stretch mode to '2d' and Aspect to 'keep'
@stames thank you so much for your feedback! and also thanks for telling me it's gravity I'd have to adjust (i would have tried to change all of them until something felt right ^^'). I had used a tutorial from Edro but I'll also look into others. this is my 2.5th time making a sidescroller, so I still have to try and learn a lot of things  i didn't know about being able to delete it. it's gone now. thank you again ^^
@turquoise-moon thank you for telling me about that! I only realized something was wrong after export (which was like 30 minutes before deadline...). I will put it in my to-do-list and in the version after ratings are done it will be fixed!
also thank you for the art compliment! <3
Good job for it being super new!
One small piece of advice I'd give is to try to think about how the experience will be for the player a bit more. In your case, even just mapping one button to put the player back at the start would make a big difference, so that anyone who falls off won't have to refresh the whole game, and let it reload.
I really liked the little drawings and story-boarding, they were very cute! I hope you get to continue to make stuff.
Very touching little story. Wish there was move, was invested. If you enjoy doing sketches and art, I highly recommend leaning into your strength and making the whole thing a 2d raster art game rather than just pixel art.
Otherwise, congrats on your second solo jam!
Fun platformer and very innovative! Congrats and good job!

@thyoi YOU CAN'T IMAGINE HOW HAPPY THIS MADE ME?? I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH I SAVED IT IN MY FOLDERS! <3<3<3 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
@gametrodon oooo that with the button is a good idea! I'm sorry about the endless fall thing. I'm planning to put in checkpoints for respawning (along with other fixes)
Thank you for the feedback, the encouragements and for playing! ^^
@pious thank you for your kind words! ^^
my first solo was actually raster art (it was a visual novel with some mini games). I was actually thinking about making this one illustrated too but i worried that I will run out of time because I'm alone ^^' again thank u for he feedback! <3
@thechadrampage thank you for your kind words! ^^
Would love to see obstacles/enemies/etc. for some challenge, but it was a cute game regardless. Love the artwork. Great job!
@lectvs thank you! obstacles and little puzzles are planned. not sure about enemies yet but I will add it to my list ^^
Cute game, but had to zoom in on the page to actually view the whole game screen. Very impressive how much art was created!
That is such a good and complete game! You can be proud of yourself! <3 I'm looking forward to see the finished game° :)
@trogdor-20x6 thank you for playing! fixing the screen size is on my to-do list ^^
@magicstunts123 thank you so much <3 I'll update it to the server when it's done ^^
so sweet! probably you need to place death collider to the water - i fell down and continue falling further and further, could not stop it and reloaded the game. overall i liked the idea and the dialog art! very cute!
@yepstepz thank you for playing and for the feedback! collider (with respawn) is on my to-do list ^^
Incredibly cute! The story is so lovely and perfect for a short game. I'am excited to see the new illustrations implemented in the game! :3
@arluci thank you for your kind words! <3 I'll do my best ^^
Great work on the art and cutscenes. The game itself is a very standard platformer which was begging for a twist or unique mechanic. I'm glad you're going to keep working on it, I'm sure you'll come up with some amazing things
Wow it is so beautiful!!!Fantastic job!!
@mdsalomon thank you for your encouragement! I'm trying my best ^^
@exa thank you very much!! <3
Adorable art and a charming concept! Loved the tiny adventure, and I'm excited to see the updates like dialogue and puzzles. Gj!
My friend and I can't play it because it's trying to play at a larger resolution than the web page is allowing. Did you used to have a "fullscreen" button set in itch that is not currently set?
I'm on a 1920x10 screen on Chrome. My friend has the same setup.

I really appreciate the consistency of graphics in the willing of recreating a garden. I alsoreally liked the cutscenes.
The game would need some polish to feel completely achieved, but this is a good base! Carry on!
@jonathandavidlewis I activated the fullscreen button now. hopefully it works ^^' (btw, the menu screen is a little off but the game should be fine, I hope)
@wakobu thank you for your feedback! ^^ I'm playing to add a little more to the gameplay and fix some stuff after the rating is done
@nazariglez thank you for your kind words! I'll do my best ^^
Lovely game! I loved the storyboard and the canterbury bell staircase was such a nice concept. (maybe add a death screen to avoid the infinite fall, but otherwise...) Well done!
oh and I LOVED the scene in which the mother holds her daughter because it resembled a drawing me and a friend did a long time ago ( so this is definitely a memorable entry for me :) )

@biene-maja thank you for your feedback! I already made a checkpoint with respawn (no death to the child) along with some other changes but I will upload it after the rating is done ^^
your drawing is very cute <3 I'm glad you liked the game
The art and storytelling in this are really lovely. I'm not sure if it was a deliberate choice or not but the sketch style of the cut-scene-y images works really well to build the mood in my opinion - sort of works well with the perspective of the story I think. There are a few bits of polish and quality of life things that would be nice to have (reset being the main one), but seems you're well aware of those already and sorting them out!
The falling animation stood out to me as a particularly good bit of the in-game art!
@jhax Thank you for your kind words and for your feedback! ^^
The sketches were not intented like that ^^' I was just running out of time. I'm planning to redo them in a children's book illustrations kind of style.. with more texture and more pencil like brushes. I'm proud to say that checkpoints and respawn is already in the newer version and they are working :D (also added some glass shards and thorns for obstacles)
and thank you again, I'm glad the endless fall is at least nice to look at  <3
