Duke Flywalker's Crap-tastic Adventure by Budaniel 2024-10-11T05:08:36Z
The simple difference in mechanics, climbing the walls and floating worked very well. Nice job slowly adding in variation and challenge to the challenges in the levels!

I was entertained for about 10-15 minutes. Nice work! The mechanics have a lot of longevity. Nice job splitting up and balancing the upgrades as well! Superb interpretation of the theme.
I definitely had fun! I was very surprised to see the game was 575 MB unzipped. Was there a whole other sample project in the zip?
I was entertained for a little while. I love the fishing rod and the string. I definitely liked the idea of fishing mixed with pokemon type battler. the fighting started to feel a little mundane and I never felt like I understood the relationship between attack types and enemies.
I found myself clicking the creature squares at the bottom repeatedly and it felt redundant. I may not have fully understood how to play well.
OMG. Once I realized what was going on story-wise I laughed out loud. (When the finger came in). Great job with the tiny creatures theme. It did feel a little repetitive and I felt like it was a real gamble whether I would hit a tiny creature or not, but I wasn't sure how to totally avoid them when there were so many at once.
It definitely looks cute. I was entertained for about 5 minutes which is great for a jam game.
I ended up abusing what @reyansh mentioned. It felt good to move so fast, like speedrunning, but once I was 1-shotting battles over and over it did lose appeal.
I wish the time that went into all the different food items went into something different in combat. I understand that might not have been possible.
@leo115 Thanks for letting me know! Based on your feedback, I did some optimization on the web build. I believe it may still not be optimal in many cases. I also produced a Windows build and a Linux build that should perform much better. Do you want to give it a try? https://jonathandavidlewis.itch.io/hamster-run
@leo115 Thank you so much! This is my first 3D game, so I am learning a ton! I'm going to try to improve the loading.
It looked great. The wasps looked great. The mechanic of being able to slow them then shoot really helped considering they were small, so nice design there. At the very beginning, I died a few times because the wasps in the first room kept coming and I couldn't pick up the ammo I needed because the enemies created a solid wall. That was a bit of a skill jump requirement as I needed to have a little better aim and more actively stop their advancement. I had to think and act very quickly for the first room. After that, the only challenge was the boss. I definitely enjoyed it. I really wish I could have heard the wasps. They would sneak up on me and I felt a little deaf.
It seemed the level design was a little unbalanced for the diversity of mechanics. There was a little too much time spent doing the same things. Given the same team capacity, I would have probably enjoyed it more if there were more diversity in the levels earlier on. Like a room that is packed with wasps, but walking backward leads them down the long hallway from where you come. So you can lure 20 in the hallway and 1 shot them all! Wasps would get stuck in the corners, so maybe more 45 degree angles would help funnel them to create intentionally different experiences than the 90 degree room, ramps, hallways.
Overall, very well done!
My friend and I can't play it because it's trying to play at a larger resolution than the web page is allowing. Did you used to have a "fullscreen" button set in itch that is not currently set?
I'm on a 1920x10 screen on Chrome. My friend has the same setup.

This was so intense! I had some trouble keeping up at first, but it was fast to restart so I did get better and better. I didn't make it to the boss.
Looks great! I felt a little low agency dealing with the Allies, so I didn't end up playing long enough to finish.
Yeah, I can see you have a lot going on!
Very well done
I was able to play it a little bit, but I had to translate to get anywhere. It looked pretty.
