The game lacks ending and gets boring fast because of the repeterive audio with no background music and few mechanics.

This was SUPER FUN for me. The map size is quite impressive for the jam. Shooting the bees is fun and the fact they drop ammo encourages risk. It's not super innovative but it's quite well executed making it very fun. I think the map looks amazing and showcases very good level design. Loved the final boss fight, felt challenging without being too hard. Great job!

master-yeet 2024-10-08 18:36

@andriy-symon Yeah we did not had time to finish the audio.. and indeed mechanic-wise we did not had the chance to implement everything we wanted.. However there is an ending, you must beat 2 levels then beat the boss! There is doors that open only once you've killed a certain amount of wasps to progress in the levels. Thank you for playing!

@winter2277 Thank you very much for your feedback, yes our level designers did an awesome job! Glad to see you enjoyed the game :)

My ONLY complaints are motion blur, and low framerate. Besides that, maybe a little bit of improvement in the AI. But the game is amazing for the amount of time! I loved lining up enemies and killing one third of them with one shot. It's very similar to Call of Duty zombies and I've played WAY too much of that game! Good job! :)

It looked great. The wasps looked great. The mechanic of being able to slow them then shoot really helped considering they were small, so nice design there. At the very beginning, I died a few times because the wasps in the first room kept coming and I couldn't pick up the ammo I needed because the enemies created a solid wall. That was a bit of a skill jump requirement as I needed to have a little better aim and more actively stop their advancement. I had to think and act very quickly for the first room. After that, the only challenge was the boss. I definitely enjoyed it. I really wish I could have heard the wasps. They would sneak up on me and I felt a little deaf.

It seemed the level design was a little unbalanced for the diversity of mechanics. There was a little too much time spent doing the same things. Given the same team capacity, I would have probably enjoyed it more if there were more diversity in the levels earlier on. Like a room that is packed with wasps, but walking backward leads them down the long hallway from where you come. So you can lure 20 in the hallway and 1 shot them all! Wasps would get stuck in the corners, so maybe more 45 degree angles would help funnel them to create intentionally different experiences than the 90 degree room, ramps, hallways.

Overall, very well done!

@codmen4000 Yes we did not spent time at all optimizing the game, it indeed could really use some. The AI was a bit voluntarily dumb to not make the game too hard due to the high amount of wasps. I love Call of Duty zombies as well :D Thank you for playing!

@jonathandavidlewis Thank you very much for your detailed feedback! It will be valuable lessons for our future games and probably future improvements we'll work on this game. Yes we really miss the audio as well, but this is #1 thing we will work on adding for a future version after the jam is done!

the graphics are really cool and the controls feel good. I did miss some feedback in sound which when hitting the wasps but overall fun game!

Oooh I had a good time with this one. A lot of small details that really help: a mouse sensitivity slider, darts pierce so I could kill multiple wasps at once, no limitation on fire rate (I killed the queen by just saving up enough darts then rapid clicking to burn her down), the wavy animation on the honey ammo. It all helps the game just feel more enjoyable.

The level design was awesome as a whole. Especially the first level, it had enough ramps and platforms and just *stuff* packed into the rooms that it really felt like I could use some FPS tactics. The middle level was a little bit lacking in my opinion, and then the queen's room was excellent. I'm jealous of how well the team did in this aspect, since level design felt like one of my biggest challenges.

Graphics were top notch, I literally have no constructive feedback here. It was very clear what everything was, and it all felt like it belonged together.

Music may have helped the immersion a bit, and I also would have liked a notification (either audio or something else) when the exit to a level opened up. Sometimes I had trouble finding it. But one level I happened to be looking at the exit when it opened, and it was really nice that it animates rather than just disappearing!

Overall really great job, thanks for making it, I had a lot of fun!

Big Production!

andrew-michienzi 2024-10-09 00:36

great looking game and super fun! the graphics were amazing and the shooting sound was satisfying

Music would have been cool, but I think what would have really made a difference is if there was some sort of feedback for other things like:

- item picked up - door opened - maybe a spawn?

games like this make me so amazed at what people can accomplish in 72 hours! Nice work yall!

juanrod707 2024-10-09 01:53

Loved the environment! As an arena shooter would have loved to have a little bit more movement mechanics, I think the game looks great but lacks polish. Putting some effort on animations, effects, and feedback would have gotten this game very far.

Nice job!

j-rara 2024-10-09 10:46

Nice game! Would've been more satisfying to hear the wasp splatter as I obliterated them. Difficulty curve was a bit off. The first room I got swarmed and pinned to the wall! The second level the wasps were sparse at times and felt to easy.

fabula-rasa 2024-10-11 10:02

I love this idea! :bee: The controls are tight and feel fine, inclusion of a sensitivity slider is very welcome.

By default, the audio in the options is turned down to zero, which is a strange choice, as some people never look in the options and won't even know that there is sound in the game. There is also music in the main menu, but it does not follow into the game, which I found peculiar. Some more audio feedback overall would be great - a pickup sound and a "taking damage" sound especially.

The wasps themselves are a bit silly - they will fall down the holes and will not follow you up the ledges. So you can just stand on the ledge or behind a crevice and slaughter them until you run out of ammo and need to jump down to get some more. But by then, most of the wasps are dead. It's even stranger when you consider that wasps fly

As you cannot jump over the wasps, and they tend to swarm when they first spawn, it also feels too easy to just be locked in a tight corridor with no way of getting to the drops from already killed wasps. You need to be sure to just run into any room you see to prevent that from happening

I enjoyed the game overall, the environment is pleasantly designed and the color scheme is great!

Great game! The graphics and level design were fantastic, and I loved the dart and honey mechanics. Shooting wasps felt super satisfying. Gj!

exa 2024-10-12 11:23

Wow it is so beautiful!!!Fantastic job!!

jeiji 2024-10-12 13:59

cool shooter, great graphics, level is made neatly and beautifully

raymond-bourke 2024-10-13 05:11

Great models!

xparker 2024-10-13 17:44

Well crafted shooter. hitting is a bit difficult at times, where the needle hits an edge instead of the target.

But overall a very good entry.

stuckne1 2024-10-13 23:41

I thought it was cool. I enjoyed the graphics and level design. Shooting wasps was fun.

jellyfishhunter 2024-10-16 16:14

Impressive level size for a jam! However I felt like the darts should belong to the left mouse button as it is your primary weapon. The honey hardly made any difference for me while playing. Perhaps more challenging enemies and forcing a more tactical approach from the player would've done this entry good.

kuroshima 2024-10-19 17:35

Very impressive game done in not so much time, I myself dont like wasps if you know what i mean
