Very cool game! I like the aesthetics, made me nostalgic, and the game was fun overall! The procedural level is a nice feature. I wish we could jump over obstacles though

Very cool game! I like the aesthetics, made me nostalgic, and the game was fun overall! The procedural level is a nice feature. I wish we could jump over obstacles though
I liked the concept of mixing FPS and tower defence, great idea!
The gameplay felt great and I loved the progressive difficulty! Thanks for adding a mouse sensitivity setting, by default it was too much for me. Congrats for your great entry!
Awesome game, these lines from the main character were gold :D, the gameplay, graphics and music were all very good. Good job!
Really cool game with epic boss fight! My only complain is the lack of crosshair and I feel the buffs crates didn't change much when picked up.
Nice aesthetics the game looked good and it had a spooky atmosphere. However it was not super clear where to go and what to do. Even with the written playthrough, I could not finish the game I was unable to grab the item from the stalker he would not spawn or go near me.
Nice game with AAA voice acting. However I agree with the others that the map is a bit too big, I had trouble finding the summoner.
Cool looking game, that music is really a banger!
A bit hard to read that font and at some point, pages stop coming out and nothing happens. But cool and funny idea!
There is indeed some bugs (game jam games hehehe), if a copied object is stuck in your hands, you can delete it by pressing the middle mouse button. Hope you guys enjoy the game!
@orangedragon Thank you for playing and your feedback! Yes we should have added a setting for sensitivity, I will think about that next time I work on a FPS.
@asfdfdfd @meranolean Thank you for playing and the feedback, we are aware of the object stuck in your hands bug, as a quick workaround since we couldn't figure out what is going on, we added a feature last minute before the submission to delete the item by pressing the middle mouse button, it should unstuck you.
@klemen thank you for playing our game and your feedback, yeah I understand your frustration, the level is relatively long and it can be frustrating when we die. We wanted to add a checkpoint system, but we were out of time unfortunately.. And for the jump bug, we will look into this.
The graphics, UI and audio were all really well made! However I felt the gameplay became repetitive quickly, but what was there was well made.
Really well made, it was spooky and I felt immersed. I liked the writing and voice acting. The spawning did not always worked well, I was respawning next to the monsters but I had time to flee. Also when you get on the boat at the end, it was glitching and we could not always see it depending on the angle I was looking at it.
I really liked the Pacman-like soul mechanic, seeing the knight fleeing and screaming was very funny! My only complain is that the game felt repetitive quickly, if you guys keep working on it, it would be fun to have more diversity in goals and/or ennemies.
I really liked the visuals with the shapes slowly coming together and the individual sounds! However, the game felt repetitive quickly and near the end, I feel there was just too much sounds playing, they didn't mix that well together.
The pixel art looked really good, however the game felt way too easy and slow.
I liked the controls and the combine to upgrade mechanics, very good for 8h! My only complain is that the game was way too easy, the difficulty should go up as time goes.
Interesting idea I loved the voice acting, the graphics, the story and the mood, you guys nailed it! I'm not sure how I got the cassette player puzzle though lol, I just spammed the buttons and it worked, maybe I got lucky.
Interesting how you introduced the controls in the dialogues, I liked it! I was surprised the first time I died, these guys are not fucking around, it made me laugh. It's a good looking well polished game. Nice spooky ending. Congrats for your work!
Really impressive that you used your own engine! Interesting idea and very challenging. I managed flip upside down my character somehow, you might want to lock the character rotation. I sucked but here is my high score! Screenshot 2024-04-17 080306.png
I really liked the creepy drawings, controls are not super intuitive though, it could be point and click instead maybe? Congrats!
Always dreamed of making a racoon mob :D The AI is cool good job!
I really loved your game, it was addictive, it looked good, it was fun and well made! The only thing that could be improved is difficulty, I found it way too easy and it was getting easier as I was upgrading my units. Congrats for this great entry!
Cool art and nice interpretation of the theme :D
Really beautiful looking game, I loved the story and the little quests we had to do. Looking forward for you guys to continue it! Some things that could be improved though are the attack animations and also I'm not a big fan of slowly flipping the sprite when turning around, it breaks the immersion to see the thin side of the sprite, could we just flip them instantly instead?
Fun game! Reminds me of these miniclip games I used to play.
The particles on the side are a bit distracting, but cute game well done!
Me love goblin
Well made game and nice looking art, I had a great time! I had to farm bandages for the final boss, otherwise I would die all the time XD. However the controls are a bit off, we should be able to move using WASD and it was hard to heal and shield while moving and fighting. We should be able to use the items by pressing their corresponding number key or just by clicking them instead having to drag them in the first slot and then press C to use them.
Nice atmosphere, it was spooky. You got me with the floor and rope traps, I did not notice them. Well done! One thing that I noticed is that the proportions seem a bit off, every furniture look so big compared to our character.
Very interesting and original concept, the game worked great at the beginning and felt good an fun to play! But indeed as mentioned in the description, it it buggy, at one point my web got almost completely destroyed and I could not places new webs except only at a few spots, and eventually the game froze.
I'm trying to play on Windows 11, but the game crashes when I try to open it :(
@stuckne1 no errors, the game opens, we see the Godot logo then it crashes
@stuckne1 there you go, I tried updating my gpu drivers to the latest version, but nothing changed. ``` PS C:\Users\Chris\Downloads\ldJam56-tinyCreature-latest-debug> .\ldJam56-tinyCreatures.console.exe Godot Engine v4.3.stable.official.77dcf97d8 - https://godotengine.org Vulkan 1.3.280 - Forward+ - Using Device #0: NVIDIA - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

@stuckne1 good and mostly bad news. I've tried the new version and the error that was previously showing up no longer appears, however the game still crashes for me when I try to open it. Same thing, I see the Godot logo then it closes. No new logs are showing up, plain nothing.. I played other games made with Godot and had no issues, so I'm not sure what's up.. I wish I could help you more.. I think though that this game is the only one I played that used a .pck file along the .exe. I think all the other ones only had a .exe file, maybe this could be a lead?
@stuckne1 Unfortunately this still does not work and there is no new logs.. I'm not super familiar with Godot and I'm out of idea, I'm sorry.. No problem for helping out! It kinda bothers me hahaha I wish I could test your game and rate it, maybe that's a problem on my side I need to figure out, but I don't understand why I had no issues with other Godot games..
The swarms were super cool to look at, but it was not very clear whether or not shooting at it was doing anything, it could use some feedback when hurt.
I loved the character and level design, I struggled after finding the first 2-3 pieces but eventually found my way to all pieces, congrats on the great entry!
Destroying houses and humanity felt good! I wish the houses debris falling on the peasants would kill them though.
Super cool game, I enjoyed a lot playing it! The art and gameplay were on point. However I wish there was a way to win the game, for example to survive x minutes or reach a destination. Also, if you have the misfortune to fall into the water, there is no way to come back to the ground and we need to restart the game. But still very good and one of the best entry I've seen so far! Congrats!
I thought these little guys were my friends until they weren't :d
The nanobot connection mechanic is a really cool idea and it worked well with the level design, I enjoyed playing it a lot! The movement is a bit buggy, but still very playable. The levels could use a bit more decorative details and lightning. Still very solid entry, congrats!
It was a fun shooting game, the controls felt great and it was enjoyable! I found it a bit hard to dodge the boss attacks at the same time of attacking, but it was okay because it was not dealing much damage. Great job!
It was a bit confusing how to serve the customers at first, but I ended up understanding. I like the art and the game was fun to play. However, I still wished there was a tutorial or an image explaining how to game works. But still nice work!
Awesome game, it was fun, it looked great, the art was cute and the game felt very polished for a game jam! I can't find anything bad to say. Best game so far, congrats!
Not sure if this was an inspiration, but it reminded me a bit of A Plague Tale, but you play the rats which is a cool idea! Becoming a mega rat was satisfying and felt badass. My only complain is that even though we kill the enemies fast (0hp), they still stay alive for a bit and still deal their damage.
Wow I was impressed how great this game felt! I was worried about getting lost when I first saw the screenshots, but not at all! I really like all the small details such as the trail that guides you, the arrow pointing the direction if you were getting lost, the leaderboard and the best player ghost. Very well done! My only complain would be that I did not feel much difference with the agility stat, the faster bug is really meta.
At the moment the game is really relax because there is not really an objective or threat, but I enjoyed controlling our bee friend. I know it is mostly due to the time limit, but if you guys would bring this game farther, it would great to have some sort of objective, time limit, enemy chasing you and/or some use to the nectar you collect to build stuff if you want to keep it cozy.
I am not sure I finished the game but the rats started following me, then I went back to the door at the beginning, the screen became red and the game closed. The atmosphere and graphics were great, but it is very unclear what to do inside the game.
Everything fit really well together (art + music) even though I think you did not make them. Good job at choosing the assets, the game looked good! I feel the level design and game mechanics lacked a bit though, you can almost just run in a straight line to finish the game.
I loved the jumpscare, the audio and the overall mood of the game, it was cool! It was not clear that you had to poison multiple time the sleeping kid. And yes as mentioned the animations are really buggy and my character disappeared completely at some point.
I really wonder what the heck is going on in this game but I loved it! Well made I loved the atmosphere and graphics.
Dude must feel so destroyed when waking up haha The art looked really good!
@andriy-symon Yeah we did not had time to finish the audio.. and indeed mechanic-wise we did not had the chance to implement everything we wanted.. However there is an ending, you must beat 2 levels then beat the boss! There is doors that open only once you've killed a certain amount of wasps to progress in the levels. Thank you for playing!
@winter2277 Thank you very much for your feedback, yes our level designers did an awesome job! Glad to see you enjoyed the game :)
@codmen4000 Yes we did not spent time at all optimizing the game, it indeed could really use some. The AI was a bit voluntarily dumb to not make the game too hard due to the high amount of wasps. I love Call of Duty zombies as well :D Thank you for playing!
@jonathandavidlewis Thank you very much for your detailed feedback! It will be valuable lessons for our future games and probably future improvements we'll work on this game. Yes we really miss the audio as well, but this is #1 thing we will work on adding for a future version after the jam is done!
This is a fat ass ant, I really wonder what the heck happened in that room. Great entry for 10h!
The game looked really good, however I was getting stuck often on walls and platforms.
I played the itch.io version, the atmosphere was great, I liked that when you were trying to use items the game was displaying hints about what to do with them, I liked that the key items had a red outline. I never felt lost in the game which is great! I feel the game could use some dark spots in the map to make it scarier and wish I could see some ending instead of going back to the main menu.
Not sure if this was meant to be a rage game (I think so from the description), but oof I did rage I found it hard due to the lightbulb disconnecting from our beetle when in certain angles haha. Great game with cool graphics and level design, congrats on the entry!
Simple and cute game, I liked it! I was able to cheat by going under the map using the mushroom-like rock and avoid the seagulls.
The game looked good and felt well polished, I wish we could unzoom more and leave the discovered areas discovered. Still fun well made game, congrats!
I liked the idea of the game and I think the UI looks really good! However the game seems pretty buggy. I was often going under the ground then popping back up when jumping, climbing in the trees without falling is super hard, and climbing down a tree then jumping was making me go under the map, the dog AI feels a bit broken, it sometimes stays in place while playing a walk animation and it didn't feel very threatening, I could mess around him without much trouble.
God is hungry, I must... feed...
The controls were a bit hard to get used to, and also when you have 2 screens your cursor can leave the game screen and that makes rotation not working. But still well done!
I liked exploring the village and following our fellow roaches story. I wished I could press E again to show faster the dialogues instead of having to wait though.
