Incredible proposal, turn-by-turn strategy, the choice of either attacking or summoning is an excellent balance between the gameplay and the theme of the jam! An artistic style that stands out from the crowd, I'll no doubt be replaying games to beat my record, the improvement is in the feedback on the choice of attack action through visual effects to better differentiate them. Thank you and keep up the good work!

@anaastaska thank you, that's so kind of you :)
Impressive jam entry! I like the strategy and it's not too difficult. Also great mood.

@linus-lindberg Thank you Linus! We had not that much time for balancing, so it's great to hear that the overall difficulty seems to be acceptable.
This was quite fun! I loved the aspect of the summoning shapes to help you fight, was balanced quite nicely to whether you attack or summon something that can do more damage or absorb damage! Game look amazing as well! A really good game for the amount of time allowed in the jam!

@morepixels Thank you for your feedback!
I really enjoyed the strategy of the game, but felt the animations made it take a bit longer than I'd have wanted. A fast-forward button would be great! I thought the action economy was a bit weird, I wanted to summon things, but often the better move was to just wait and kill the enemies myself. Once I figured out all of the enemies the tactical battling was quite fun. Good job overall.

@nardandas I really appreciate the feedback! A fast-forward button is a very good idea which will be definitely considered for a bigger demo of this game.
I agree that the action economy is not well balanced. Because of the short amount of time we basically smashed some numbers into the game and it appeared to work okay-ish at least :D

The gameplay mechanics in this game are so intuitive! It's like the controls become an extension of your own instincts. Plus, the art style adds a unique flair that keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely a gem worth exploring!

Great game! I love strategy games, and for something created in just 72 hours, this game is spectacular. It seems very professional, with orchestral music and fantastic ambiance. As a suggestion, I would try to allow the character to move three squares or more at a time with a single click, instead of moving square by square; however, I understand this might be due to time constraints rather than difficulty. Apart from this minor detail, all that's left is to congratulate you. I absolutely loved this game and appreciate being able to play it on my Debian GNU/Linux. Spectacular game!

@milq Glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for your kind words! We are especially happy that the game seems to run well on Linux (as @felixx already mentioned), as with everything else, time for testing was very limited.
Your suggestion about the movement makes absolutely sense and it is already noted. Thank you again!

This was a pretty cool turn based game. The balance is something else though XD

@sevadusk Let's just not talk about balancing xD Thank you tho!
I came across your game on Discord, and I was immediately struck by your artistic style and game concept. Playing it now, I'm even more astonished. Forgive my naivety, but is it really possible that this was completed within 72 hours?? The design of your gameplay is incredibly mature, and I've found myself a bit hooked. It's an absolutely fantastic game, and I really love it.

If you have the time and energy, would you mind taking a look at my friends' games (not mine)? They've helped me a lot in the past, and I'd like to return the favor. Here's the link:[https://ldj.am/$393695](https://ldj.am/$393695)

@drgcandle I don't know what to say, but thank you!
We take you wondering if this was actually completed in the given time as a huge compliment! :D Especially because the answer to that is "Yes". We are fortunate to have a very even distribution of strengths within our team, which allowed us to focus on Code, Art and Music simultaneously. And all of us lacked sleep during the game jam, of course.
I will check out Archmage later!
@noize It's clear to see that you folks must have been working together for quite some time and are very experienced, which is probably why you were able to create something so impressive in such a short amount of time. I sure hope we can reach that level one day. And I feel you—I'm pretty much the only one standing at this point, as the rest of my team has turned into "zombies":D
Thank you so much, and please extend my gratitude to your friends as well!

Quite beautiful visuals and a nice concept! With enough time invested this could become a very good mobile game. I was a little lost at the beginning and did not get that I had to click on the summoned powers to use them. The music is tense and it is quite good, but the short loop makes it annoying after a while. Of course it's a 72h jam and this is fine for it! Well done!

@andruid Thank you! We will see what will happen to this project in the future, but there is definitely a chance that we create something more polished and complex out of this prototype. Your feedback is also much appreciated!

The artistique Style is just awesome and unique. Also I like the intuitive Gameplay! Very nice. Just how did you do this in sich a Short amount of time?
If I wasn't short on time, I feel like I could have just kept playing this forever! Congrats to the team, well done!
It is a game that is very smooth and comfortable to play. It reminds me of works like Hitman GO. I feel that you guys will also create such classics. I absolutely love your game!

@unchain Great to hear you liked it!
Great concept & aesthetic! I love this type of game. I wasn't entirely sure what the upgrades did though - it seemed like they didn't carry over to the next round, or maybe I was missing something.

@james-greenleaf Hm, we tested the upgrade system at least a few times and it appeared to be working as intended. But it is entirely possible that you unfortunately encountered a bug we haven't seen yet :D
Thank you for playing and your kind words!
Love the mood on this one, gameplay is nice (even if the player can become an one-shotting god, but felt nice :D ) about the graphics, just look up on how to bake indirect lighting and you get this to the next level!
I really like how it looks and sounds! It's a very solid project!

Thank you for playing our game guys! We really appreciate that you took your time for that :)
@andreadbx Yup, we didn't do much balancing due to the limited time :D We are going to develop a more fleshed out and polished version of this game, and we will definitely improve the lighting for that.
@roman-dubrovin Thank you!
@irex For some reason we didn't include proper instructions into the game, which makes no sense, because we had to write some form of instructions anyways before publishing it here lol We will work on a good tutorial and better balancing for the polished demo!

@squeele Hey, thank your for taking your time to play our game! Glad you could enjoy it :)
I really loved your game, it was addictive, it looked good, it was fun and well made! The only thing that could be improved is difficulty, I found it way too easy and it was getting easier as I was upgrading my units. Congrats for this great entry!

@master-yeet Great to hear that you had a good time!
Yeah, the difficulty is definitely very unbalanced and doesn't scale well. We actually just hacked in some numbers and hoped for the best :D

Very nice entry, I spent way too long playing this - got to level 24 before calling it quits! (I assume it is infinite?)
I really enjoyed it, and actually thought it was quite well balanced. The music and sounds were nice, although I wish there was a bit more feedback on the attacks. The randomness of which shapes you got was quite nice, because I think it really impacts the strategy. I really powered up my 'shape' and loved steamrolling the enemy once I'd got a couple of them out. I do wish the enemies took their turns a bit quicker though!
Some bugs: Action point upgrades don't do anything (took me a while to figure that one out, that was annoying!) Sometimes things will vanish from my shape bar (Like I'll try and drag it out and it will vanish)

Thank you for your detailed feedback! It is awesome to read that you really enjoyed the game. Also, level 24 is quite far haha
Yes, currently the game is infinite with an ending difficulty curve at level 25. It was the quickest way to procedurally generate enough variety, however, we are currently reworking the game and it will not be infinite in the new version.
We noted your feedback and will improve everything you mentioned, especially the bugs!
Really cool game! the alien design reminds me of the one in the film "the arrival" love it!
