An interesting twist on the Survivor-Genre! I sometimes found the player hitbox to be a little annoying, but overall this is a well executed idea!

@abominablescience Thank you, we really appreciate your kind words!
@linus-lindberg Thank you Linus! We had not that much time for balancing, so it's great to hear that the overall difficulty seems to be acceptable.
@morepixels Thank you for your feedback!
@nardandas I really appreciate the feedback! A fast-forward button is a very good idea which will be definitely considered for a bigger demo of this game.
I agree that the action economy is not well balanced. Because of the short amount of time we basically smashed some numbers into the game and it appeared to work okay-ish at least :D
@luka420 Much appreciated, thank you!
@milq Glad you enjoyed the game, and thank you for your kind words! We are especially happy that the game seems to run well on Linux (as @felixx already mentioned), as with everything else, time for testing was very limited.
Your suggestion about the movement makes absolutely sense and it is already noted. Thank you again!
@sevadusk Let's just not talk about balancing xD Thank you tho!
@drgcandle I don't know what to say, but thank you!
We take you wondering if this was actually completed in the given time as a huge compliment! :D Especially because the answer to that is "Yes". We are fortunate to have a very even distribution of strengths within our team, which allowed us to focus on Code, Art and Music simultaneously. And all of us lacked sleep during the game jam, of course.
I will check out Archmage later!
@andruid Thank you! We will see what will happen to this project in the future, but there is definitely a chance that we create something more polished and complex out of this prototype. Your feedback is also much appreciated!
@james-greenleaf Hm, we tested the upgrade system at least a few times and it appeared to be working as intended. But it is entirely possible that you unfortunately encountered a bug we haven't seen yet :D
Thank you for playing and your kind words!
Thank you for playing our game guys! We really appreciate that you took your time for that :)
@andreadbx Yup, we didn't do much balancing due to the limited time :D We are going to develop a more fleshed out and polished version of this game, and we will definitely improve the lighting for that.
@roman-dubrovin Thank you!
@irex For some reason we didn't include proper instructions into the game, which makes no sense, because we had to write some form of instructions anyways before publishing it here lol We will work on a good tutorial and better balancing for the polished demo!
@sariiger Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :D
@squeele Hey, thank your for taking your time to play our game! Glad you could enjoy it :)
@master-yeet Great to hear that you had a good time!
Yeah, the difficulty is definitely very unbalanced and doesn't scale well. We actually just hacked in some numbers and hoped for the best :D
Thank you for your detailed feedback! It is awesome to read that you really enjoyed the game. Also, level 24 is quite far haha
Yes, currently the game is infinite with an ending difficulty curve at level 25. It was the quickest way to procedurally generate enough variety, however, we are currently reworking the game and it will not be infinite in the new version.
We noted your feedback and will improve everything you mentioned, especially the bugs!
@katanajellyfish Oh yes, I see where you're coming from! Haven't thought about that haha
@josang1567 I have to agree, our 3D artist did an amazing job :D Thank you!
Walking feels very satisfying and the animations fit super well. I also like the idea of summoning "helping gadgets" to find your way through the world.
I find it a little confusing that summoning and jumping / walking are on the same buttons, maybe it's just me, but I often struggled with exploring the world. The overall concept is great tho!
Always love to see 3D games in a Game Jam! Really liked the polishing, such as the changing camera angle when talking to someone.
If I might add something to the controls: I like the 8-dimensional approach, but certain paths are curved in a way that you have to adjust your direction manually. The curve does not always align with the diagonal movement when pressing two input buttons. Thats a minor thing I found a little annoying sometimes.
But overall that's a very nice game!
Really liked this approach! I think it is an interesting mixture of the theme and the puzzle genre. Sometimes I found the controls a little unintuitive, but this is critique on rather high level.
I could imagine a more fleshed out version of this would work very well on mobile platforms or the Nintendo Switch!
This one really stands out compared to most other entries. Incredible to see what kind of suffocating atmosphere you were able to create in this short amount of time!
But I have to say, I almost got motion sick because of the head movement and the very high mouse sensitivity. Overall a really nice game tho!
For sure one of the best looking pixel art games I have seen from this game jam so far!
I also really like how you approached the sacrifice mechanic by scaling the movement speed and the radius. I could imagine that with some additional polish this game would do pretty well on Steam with a demo!
