As much as i am confused by the goals, I do love the graphics and controls. There is just something so satisfying in a way the cat crouches.

Screenshot 2024-04-15 at 9.09.51 PM.png The game was interesting. Love the crouch motion for the cat. Defeating the boss was a little challenging, but since it didn't do any damage, I was able to eventually get it! Loved the art and animations :)

I really like the aesthetic as you interact with the world. And tying the summoning with the movement controls has some really interesting implications, nice work!

The graphics and premise really drew me in! The animations and motions for the cat are really pleasing to look at, though jumping does feel unsatisfying, but I can tell that it's intentional for use of the crate! I got to the candle boss and was able to beat it, but couldn't figure out how to summon the candle to place it at the pedestal. Overall a really solid jam entry and am definitely interested in coming back to see how much more this progresses!

This concept is like the eldritch great grandfather of Noita, and has a lot of interesting potential. Also reminds me of Trine and Magica. Very neat.

love the cat animation and the idea of a cat summoning baloons. It was tough to understand how I was progressing, but I did manage to defeat the candlestick. I really like the idea of entering in combos to get things to happen in the game -- definitely an idea worth exploring further!

This cat character is soooooo cute :) I had a lot of fun experimenting with the combos and combining several ones of them to move further. And the interactions with the crouching, jumping or even flying on a balloon cat are so funny.

Walking feels very satisfying and the animations fit super well. I also like the idea of summoning "helping gadgets" to find your way through the world.

I find it a little confusing that summoning and jumping / walking are on the same buttons, maybe it's just me, but I often struggled with exploring the world. The overall concept is great tho!

Haha! Love the fact that when crouching it turns into a regular cat :D I beat the boss to the right. Then i got through the dark area to the left but fell inside of the ground. Then i fell into the void at the bottom of the map. I had fun however!

Summoning contradicts with movement controls, it would be better if it had dedicated buttons for summoning. The graphics are stunning and animations are really fluid and nice looking. Overall a fun little jam to play, great work !

You've got an interesting idea here, but the overlap of movement and summoning is a bit too tricky for me.

Cat is great! I'm a bit confused on what I have to do. I got to the big candle, used the flame thrower and dodged the attack. Candle shrunk and then I went left in the dark area, where it was really tricky to navigate. Not sure if I was suppose to be there :smile: Nice entry, well done!

neat ideas here! not sure if i would use the same controls for summoning as the movement. i like how the animation kinda reminds me of Prince of Persia

It was fun to explore the map, but the combos for the key items were too tricky for me. The only one I managed to figure out was the yarn ball. I even copied the other boss's movement patterns exactly and it did not work. The art is great though, I like the effect you did, and I have no idea how it was done.

Cool game! Very satisfying animations. i found myself just walking around on all fours more than platforming. I had to pan down the page to refer to the WASD combinations a lot. Maybe having a spellbook in game would be helpful to refer to? It would be nice to have a couple of hints for copying boss motions as well. I really liked the sprites. Thanks for the submission, it was fun!

I like the animations (is this 3d? I think it is), though in scope of controls it would probably be better to have a separate button for "summon". It gets weird especially when you jump and suddenly a box shows in front of you, also it seems that you can only summon flamethrower and baloon to your right. I got outside of map, was pushed behind the wall when i summoned a baloon and a box in front of me.

I can't summon the candle after boss defeat:/ I know that you can, because I managed to do it once, but cannot repeat. I think its adass, but doesn't seem to work, and i cannot check in the code too. Overall nice game, I would like to see the ending, but now i can't get past the dark area. Maybe some help?

Cool game! The visuals and animations were well done. The gameplay is a unique and interesting concept, I like it. It could be a bit awkward summoning stuff with the same keys as the movement controls, but I think overtime I would get used to it. Overall, nice job!

I love the visuals and spell mechanic! The crouch is so adorable :) I got stuck inside the walls unfortunately, so I couldn't beat the game at the end :( I like that you use flamethrower to light up the surroundings, but it's difficult to use this way because of cooldown. Nice concept and game! Some polishing and it's going to be great!

The game feels quite unique. I like the concept of using these different summons to accomplish different goals but the actual execution unfortunately feels janky. I expected to be able to cast both ways or jump on the balloon with relative ease, for example. The cat animations are SO smooth.

It would be nice to see your current available summon combos in-game somewhere.

EDIT: Does the game have audio since you've opting for a rating? At least I couldn't hear a thing.

I loved the animations and style that you gave the game. Cute, charming, and fantastic to look at.

I love the concept of using the movement keys in order to summon things, or at least the combination of the keys. I think if you locked the movement when doing it it would have helped it feel better. It also would have stopped from accidental summoning during normal movement, which was also an issue.

I was sad the candle couldn't light up the dark :(

I could find the candle and the wine boss, but not how to get to the third one.

The art is beautiful! Summon the stuff with keycombinations is interesting, an has a lot of potential (I even accidentally summoned stuff, but that can be used too). Sadly did not fully grasp what the goal was, or what I can do, I tried exploring a bit and managed to take down the candle I think with my flamethrowers

This game was very mysterious and i liked it. From the keybinds to why a cat is fighting a candlestick :D Lovely graphics and animations. I especially like the crouch/uncrouch animation and that the cat would be just as fast while crouching!

Really neat concept! As others have said the summon keys should be different from movement keys, I kept summoning things while walking around. Summoning boxes and balloons to get to the bosses was a lot of fun!

I love the cat animations, they are very distinct! I do wish we had something like a spellbook to reference the key presses for summoning, but overall it's fun to explore and learn new abilities from the bosses. Good entry!
