LD55 — Summoning

Seance by alexrose 2024-04-17T14:31:44Z

How can such a masterpiece be made in just 72 hours? This game was crazy good, easily the highest quality game I've seen this jam. By a mile.

The depth, the concept, the visuals, the voice acting/sound design, everything was so perfect. I'm just amazed, incredible job!

Seance by alexrose 2024-04-17T20:50:55Z

@alexrose Dropped you a follow and I will definitely watch the creation process once I have the time!

Slay the Skull by Cambryx 2024-04-20T15:28:10Z

Really fun game! Also, I managed to break your record on my second attempt: slaythespire.png

Demon Burger by JOrbits 2024-04-18T08:19:28Z

This game was amazing and I love it! The visuals, the sound design, the concept, the responsiveness, everything was perfect. Are you planning to turn it into a full game?

Also, playing it made me very hungry, what I would do for a non-demon burger right now..

Shards by mechanicallife 2024-04-18T19:42:20Z

This game feels fully polished, and I had a blast beating it! I may try challenge mode another time.

Reminds me of Inscryption, both with the vibes, and also with how much of a full game it feels even though you made it in 72 hours, and I'm very excited to see how you're planning on expanding it in the future, if there's a plan for that. I would definitely buy a full release on Steam, it's an absolute masterpiece!

Uber for Summoning Circles by ultrarat 2024-04-16T09:39:17Z

Fun game! Haven't played typeracer in a while, so I struggled a bit, but after some attempts I managed to get 4 recipes done. I'm not the fastest of typers, but I really enjoyed the game!

The ultimate Cup Of Coffee - Summoning The Barista by INCD021 2024-04-15T20:34:52Z

Neat little puzzle game and funny ending! Hope your wife also enjoyed the game! :)

Summon Death by TheMadPangolin 2024-04-16T13:05:21Z

Easily my favorite game so far. It's crazy how it's a compo game, it would be very impressive even for a jam game. Good job!

Summoners Chess by Widerhold 2024-04-17T07:27:22Z

Really fun game! Managed to get to floor 13 on my second attempt. Once you see the spells, they feel surprisingly intuitive. Although I pretty much only used fire as it felt the best to me. Great work!

I Summon Bounce by nardandas 2024-04-20T07:07:46Z

Really nice take on Arkanoid, loved it! I managed to get over 100k points. pong.png

theGRIMOIRE_ by 0x0961h 2024-04-20T16:57:01Z

The summoning mechanic is very unique and something I don't remember ever seeing anywhere. The polish of this game is also crazy good, including UI, and despite puzzle games being my favorite genre and me playing them a lot, some levels still got me stuck and made me wonder for a while. Very great design and an amazing entry!

Nose Deep In A Book by Yorsh 2024-04-15T20:21:45Z

Very fun game! At first I was a little lost on what I should be doing, but after trying to understand the books a bit more and learned how the drawing works, this game quickly became an amazing puzzle game! Great job!

Infernup's Ablazummon by Colisan 2024-04-16T13:47:09Z

Really fun and addictive game! Managed to make it to top 8 as of now. May grind it some more later.highscoreinfenral.png

Infernup's Ablazummon by Colisan 2024-04-16T14:17:49Z

@colisan hearing that motivated me to grind the game a little more, and I managed to get it! 600 is still really far away though. highscoreinfernal.png

Infernup's Ablazummon by Colisan 2024-04-17T10:07:27Z

I've had an issue with the game not accepting my username anymore, it said the name was already taken. So unfortunately I'm taking up 2 space on the leaderboard now. I don't know if you can manually delete my lower score. Also, I'm coming for Nasth.

infernalleaderboard.png

Infernup's Ablazummon by Colisan 2024-04-17T10:28:48Z

@colisan Maybe the router was restarted or something then. And thank you! Good luck with your climb today!

Also it's crazy how simple yet how addicting this game is.

Nana's Impanadas by Fecalmancer 2024-04-19T16:11:43Z

It's quite a gory interpretation of the topic, but I love it! It's quite a lot of fun, managed to get to 1k. Although I feel the difficulty ramping isn't enough, even later on, it's easy to just go and go on without losing. Had to stop playing in order to lose.

Aside from the difficult not ramping, I was having a blast playing this game! Very interesting concept and also great models! Good job!

A Grave Mistake by JUSTCAMH 2024-04-18T14:56:59Z

Amazing game, I've never seen a similar concept. Really well tought out and executed! I managed to beat it, although I was stuck for quite a while at the left side. For whatever reason I didn't think of digging in the upper left platform, and I'm pretty sure I dug out all the souls on the bottom.

My Little Demons by Kaish 2024-04-18T17:51:54Z

The summoning sound effects killed me, really well done! It'd be interesting to see an extended version of this game, because it's a lot of fun to play.

The Deep Madness by Sargonius 2024-04-15T20:53:01Z

Took me a few attempts, but finished it! Reminded me of Raft with the hooking resources part. The boss fight felt really epic with that music playing.

Dicey Demons by UkuleleFury 2024-04-18T07:23:20Z

Very cute and fun game! The Axolotl is so precious! Also I'm a sucker for dice games in general.

Cultists on ICE by Pusheeneiro 2024-04-21T13:27:37Z

I don't know what's more frustrating, the spike maze level where you have to get through the maze with 2 cultists, and they keep desyncing from each other and going in different directions even though the inputs are the same, or this troll slime that decided to block the gap after I spent over half an hour getting here, staying there, and refusing to move anywhere.

Despite all the rage inducing parts this game is bringing in, it's very solid and I love the idea! Shame I wasn't able to beat it, but this slime is really just messing up everything.

Salmoning by kuviman 2024-04-20T16:15:40Z

"How much do you enjoy driving around in a city in a video game?"

salmoning.png

Seriously though, driving in games feels so therapeutic and addictive, and that's true for this game too. It was a very enjoyable experience to just drive around for like an hour. Great entry!

Necrohold by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2024-04-18T18:23:10Z

Absolutely love the art style and the music. They're super solid.

Euclid's Elementals by avareii 2024-04-19T15:40:20Z

It's been quite a long time since I last had to draw equilateral triangles, so I struggled a little, same with the square one. But somehow I managed to dig up the knowledge buried deep in my brain, and managed to draw the triangles, squares, and hexagons without needing to look up anything.

Amazing concept for a game, and thank you for bringing me back some forgotten knowledge! Great job!

Who Summoned It? by Tyler Law 2024-04-20T07:32:22Z

An amazing and well written game! I'm really surprised you managed to put this much polish into this game in only 3 days. Very impressive you also managed to write together such a neat plot as well, and make the graphics and audio also this good.

Great work!

Summoning Sun by Kamuniaft 2024-04-16T11:17:32Z

It was a very unique and interesting game! Sort of reminded me of times when back in school I wasn't confident what part comes next during dancing, so I just try to mimic others and not create too much attention. Amazing visuals and sound design too!

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-15T20:37:42Z

@nickelfoolish Glad you had fun! I haven't heard of Little Alchemy personally, just looked it up after you mentioned it, and I can see how this reminded you of that game.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-16T06:27:13Z

@gnum Thank you!

@kaliuresis Congrats on summoning the pickles! I actually didn't know about the diagonal sprinting, that's an interesting find, seems like it's an accidental feature. I think you used the knife properly, it's meant to be used by just touching things with the blade while holding it.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-16T10:40:36Z

@hsg-gringo I love Potion Craft and it definitely gave me some inspirations when I was deciding how to give the user more control over what they summon. I see your point with the grindiness, I also felt a little like that when playtesting it, but with not much time left until deadline, I didn't dare to rebalance the game, as the calculation and planning process already took a while.

@projesh Glad you enjoyed the experience this way! I originally had the "hints" part when you open the menu display some sort of directions, but I couldn't make it in a way that wouldn't give away too much and I felt it would take away from the game. So I'm glad you enjoyed the exploration without handholding! And yeah, the knife may not be the most intuitive, but once you understand how it works, it's funny to kill bats with while standing still.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-16T13:25:52Z

@zablas Glad you enjoyed it! I was actually thinking of making it into a more polished full game if the feedback was good on this jam version.

@denkithegamer Congrats on getting the pickles, and glad you enjoyed the experimentation aspect of it! The knife was kind of a struggle, at first I wanted to add stabbing to the game, but the animations kept completely messing up and we were running out of time, so we settled for worse knife mechanics to polish other aspects of the game. It was mainly to make killing the bats easier, as you don't have to aim the rock if you use the knife. But I agree, knife would definitely be the thing I'd rework if I had more time.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-16T22:42:48Z

Wow, thank you everyone for the feedback!

@cmakota Yeah, the movement I would definitely rework when polishing this game. To start out I just needed a simple movement script, and it didn't feel it would've been worth putting more effort towards improving the movement when the deadline was soo tight.

@jack-bingham I agree, and other have pointed out the knife having awful mechanics. It was in the list of planned improvements for the game, but other things had higher priority, and we ran out of time before being able to fix the knife.

@oznarox You can throw the rocks and kill animals with it, then use those for summoning!

@captainspacecat Glad you enjoyed the game! I was also thinking of items as vectors while making it. Enjoy the pickles!

@vodzik With the knife if you stand in a spot, you can actually have bats just fly into the knife and farm them that way. But I agree, I was thinking of adding a feature to be able to grab bats by hand, but the short jam time made it so that our code was complete spaghetti and such a basic thing would've been a pain to implement with our code structure.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-17T10:25:07Z

@lestat I realized that the last day when the game finally became beatable, but there were so many things to polish that I didn't have the time to replan the route to get to the end.

@human-writes-code Have you been playing it in the browser? From what I've noticed, the browser version has way higher mouse sensitivity, even though they're built from the exact same project. And thank you for the feedback! I was planning on extending it and polishing it after the jam, and more feedback to the user was planned (showing the vector of the X's movement, having an actual grid and displaying object's values, and recipes saving in the book so you can look them up). So it was definitely something I was considering, the time just didn't allow for that.

Summoning Guidebook by Sariiger 2024-04-20T07:40:39Z

@pelmanable @nomus @someone @skyler-newsome Thank you for the feedback and great job getting the pickles!

@smidgens Thank you for the feedback! About the graphics, I started learning modelling and blender just 3 days before the jam, so honestly low poly is pretty much all I could do in a timely manner, but I'm glad it turned out well! I do have some methods planned to make the game less grindy, unfortunately I didn't have the time to rebalance the game before the deadline.

The Chosen One by hulien22 2024-04-20T20:12:38Z

It kinda feels like a roguelike battle royal. Love this take on the genre!

Capture the King by ZEN 2024-04-17T12:59:05Z

Amazing game! As a chess enthusiast, this game got me curious what it would be like if there was a chess variant (maybe there's one I don't know about) where both players have a given certain amount of points, and they could "shop" pieces based on their value, and place them themselves. Would be very interesting to see what top players would come up with, and how the meta would change based on the countless amount of strategies it would introduce.

Sorry for the long thought, but that's what this game made me wonder about. Loved it visually and conceptually, and it was a lot of fun to play!

Poltergeist for Hire by JudJudson 2024-04-20T06:38:08Z

Very short, but it was fun! I absolutely love the concept, and would love to play an extended version if you're planning on making one.

It seemed you have implemented quite a deep system (with the spawning of different items), and the goal didn't require you to utilize part of it as much. It's a jam with a deadline, so that's completely fair. But it shows you have something to expand upon, as the system is already there.

Great job!

Demonic Panic by Guilloteam 2024-04-18T12:53:08Z

Made it to the top 10! (Probably not for long.)

Very addictive and fun game to play!

Demanager by satacat 2024-04-16T15:59:01Z

I love the art style and the audio! Also the idea is really neat, it was fun playing through it.

HEXX by andrewkennedy 2024-04-17T08:50:13Z

Such a simple concept and rules, but it works super well. This is some amazing game design, great job!

Spoonmaster by RumiaObsessed 2024-04-20T07:44:55Z

Sweet and short game. Even though I'm team fork, I did enjoy the experience. Good job!

Honse by rickylee 2024-04-17T08:03:07Z

This game really reminds me of whenever I offered help at the house, but I was grinding TFT, so I kept returning to my PC, doing my turn and hoping it would last, then get back to helping, and repeat. Exact same vibes.

Really fun game by the way, great job!

Well...Done by Allax 2024-04-19T13:42:26Z

Very neat game, would love to play a longer version! Managed to get 100+ of the green stuff and got all upgrades.

It's surprisingly addictive. Great work!

⌰⟒⏁⍜ (leto) by Sodoj 2024-04-20T06:50:11Z

It was a really relaxing experience, kinda felt like a mediation session. The beats were really nice as well!

It's a shame it can't be rated in the audio category. Great job!

Gacha May Cry by Rojoin 2024-04-21T15:08:29Z

Managed to get the ultimate husbando! It was hilarious and also made me sad for people who went down the rabbit hole of gacha games.

The art is top notch too, great job!

Siela by Gnum_ 2024-04-16T06:53:06Z

This game has such a great vibe. The visuals and the sound design are incredible!

Star to Dust by Chii 2024-04-19T21:31:26Z

This game feels like an out-of-body experience. It's very relaxing and something I would've never expected to see. Good job!

Ribbit Craft by Kerioth 2024-04-20T14:57:05Z

The graphics look so polished and are amazing! I managed to get all the recipes unlocked. page1.png page2.png page3.png

Pony Summon Quest by brainles etertainment 2024-04-21T13:59:11Z

Interesting idea! Although the spins feel very slow. Managed to get a few ponies:

Ancestor Rain by ELLISBUG 2024-04-18T09:40:11Z

As a rhythm game enthusiast, I absolutely loved this game! For some reason though I didn't seem to be able to get 100%, even though I didn't notice myself missing. Is there accuracy aside from just missing/hitting? But I managed to get 99% on normal on both levels.rhythm1.pngrhythm2.png

Date Summons by Pokopish 2024-04-16T19:45:15Z

Had a lot of fun! The first two girls were quite easy, but Manat proved a real challenge. After quite a few attempts I finally managed to beat her too, with quite a lot of health remaining. Loved the visuals, and also, I filled out the form! monsterdatewin.png

Summoner Kit Simulator by Francois Dervaux 2024-04-17T15:41:29Z

Such a relaxing and fun game. Great job! The ending killed me :joy:

Game of the Name by kaliuresis 2024-04-16T07:05:38Z

Really neat concept! Got me curious if the strongest team could defeat the strongest summonable boss. I'll need to experiment with some team compositions.

PolyMancer by MarkAis 2024-04-17T16:23:05Z

Really fun game! Although for the life of me I can't draw a star with a mouse while dodging, but that's just a skill issue on my part.

The game itself is really unique and very enjoyable.

PolyMancer by MarkAis 2024-04-17T17:37:40Z

@markais Ohhh, for whatever reason I wasn't thinking of drawing the star like that, neither the plus sign. I was trying to copy it the way the enemies are, which made it a lot harder. Thank you for the tips!

Cat Good, God Bad by yigoo 2024-04-16T10:57:18Z

The art style is completely gorgeous! And really love the idea too of moving the panels around to solve the puzzles.

Baby's First Demon! by JonasO 2024-04-16T20:28:02Z

Really nice game! Playing it at night, I got quite freaked out at first when the demon started appearing and I was panicking while trying to banish it. The audio and visuals are both very neat, along with the whole concept!

Burn with me by Nozomu57 2024-04-17T12:43:46Z

Really interesting mechanics with the card placing and trying to plan your turn based on neighbors. Visuals were also very nice and I liked that you gave the player a decision at the end on which Satan they want to summon based on the strength of their deck.

Faust by HellHound 2024-04-16T20:07:26Z

Amazing game! This gave me Fireboy and Watergirl vibes, felt a little nostalgic.

Necrogirl by Constance 2024-04-17T08:44:17Z

Amazing game, has some really good vibes with the music and the graphics. Impressive you've made such many neat assets in such a short time. Great job!

The Grand Summoner ... of Lifts by Arti Dev 2024-04-19T13:08:24Z

This game really scratches the itch when it comes to my guilty pleasure of clicker/idle games. Surprisingly satisfying (although short) game, and an interesting take on the concept.

Crossworld by XRy 2024-04-16T10:46:13Z

It's a really fun take on scrabble, love it! The resonancy concept brings in some balance, as you can't spam the same high score words over and over again and you have to adapt to the context.

Diemancer by WorldOfMush 2024-04-20T17:30:41Z

This is such an addictive game, I absolutely love it! I'm a dice fan, so this game really managed to suck me in. I almost managed to get 10k points, here's my record:

diemancer.png

Great job on this game, it just plays so well.

Process Server by Omitsu 2024-04-17T07:36:56Z

Didn't expect to see Ace Attorney in this jam, but here it is.

I loved how you incorporated the concept of summoning into this game, and the humor was also on point! Great job!

Idea Catcher——Summoning Tools by DrgCandle 2024-04-19T04:49:07Z

I just love the doodle graphics, it looked clean and well polished. As others said, the puzzles weren't challenging in particular, but I think that's completely fine for a game jam where you don't have as much time to get player feedback and adjust the difficulty.

Summon the Cat ! by Corgiz 2024-04-19T14:04:26Z

This game is working way too well. I just booted it up, clicked, saw the notes coming, and as soon as I was about to hit one, my cat jumped on the desk and stood in front of the monitor. I put him on the floor, restarted, and he again jumped in front of the monitor. This game is too powerful. He's again in front of me as I'm typing.

The game was fun to play, I love rhythm games, so I really enjoyed this one too! Great job!

Shapes of Light by felixx 2024-04-19T13:26:08Z

The mood and graphics are top notch! Really loved the addictive gameplay as well. Great job on this entry!

Summoner's Dungeon by PoesDraughtnDoos 2024-04-19T12:42:09Z

The platforming part is fun, although I'm unsure what I would do about the boss. Is there anything else you can do aside from moving and jumping? I was trying to press different buttons, but none of them seemed to do anything. Some sort of hints for the controls would be nice.

Summoning Survival by Misoukun 2024-04-19T15:46:16Z

Fun game, although I suck playing with a controller, so it was a little bit of a struggle. Still great concept!

NECRO RUSH by helviett 2024-04-16T16:55:26Z

Had a lot of fun playing, and I find it hilarious how the zombies lunge themselves at the summoners.

Summoning Salesman by Merb1000 2024-04-16T20:53:41Z

I'm loving the idea and the decisions you need to make. You can play it greedy and try to combine into a more powerful beast, but it may backfire as it may perform worse when it comes to the quests.

You have been summoned... by Zynoq 2024-04-16T09:01:07Z

Gotta go!

I was stuck at the beginning for a short while until I realized that you couldn't disarm coworkers after they began the shorttalk (I didn't even know they began it.) But after a while, I realized how the game worked and it was quite fun actually.

The Demon Cube by dekara 2024-04-20T17:50:45Z

Really enjoyed this game. The feeling of power you get when you get reborn as a stronger block is crazy, especially the last one. I don't actually know if you can die as the last one, I was maxing agility and all contracts kept getting beaten in like a second (I don't remember if I even took damage ever as the big block), and after a while the game ended up freezing.

Regardless, it's a really fun game. Good job!

Ink Summoner by Custodi 2024-04-20T15:14:51Z

Really loved the game, managed to beat it! I love how it had just the right amount of challenge, where it wasn't easy, but it also wasn't frustrating either. Well, the anti grav level was a bit frustrating, but it was still fine. Very innovative mechanics, great job!

Soul Pact by SesMiRe 2024-04-17T19:07:44Z

I opened the game, heard the music in the menu, checked on the site if it was custom made, and already gave the 5 stars for the audio before even playing the game. :joy:

The visual were amazing, although as someone who's native language isn't English, I found the text based riddles very difficult. Still had fun nonetheless, and the atmosphere was amazing!

A small tip: I saw the camera clipping through the walls when I was in like a 45 degree angle into them. I also had that in my game, and it's a super easy fix. Just click on the camera(s) in the editor, and lower the "clipping plane: near" to as little as you can. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't take away anything from the game, but I thought I'd let you know about this very quick 5 second fix.

Summoned by Cshep99 2024-04-20T17:12:22Z

Really love the idea! Brawled through my way of a lot of skeletons and there were only a few left, but unfortunately the game ended up crashing. It's a really smart and fun way of matching the "summoning" theme, would be funny to play it with other people in a battle royal.

Akino's Dungeon by Risminator 2024-04-19T20:15:34Z

It reminds me of playing Binding of Isaac while having orbitals. Quite fun. Although I feel the controls would be a lot more precise if it had keyboard controls and not mouse. That may also just be me being bad with the mouse though.

Plaguebringers by zablas 2024-04-16T16:32:27Z

I really liked the idea, and it was fun to play! The one issue I had is that once you get to the point that you can spawn hundreds of rats in 2-3 seconds, spawning a lot of them really takes a toll on the game's FPS. Nonetheless, it was a fun game to play and I had a great time!

The Squidgy Trials by elvnish 2024-04-17T18:48:12Z

I got an invincibility bug, where I had 0 health but I didn't die, no matter how much I tried, so I couldn't get back to the lobby. Also I spent like 5 minutes trying to find something, as the area is open and people can wander off.

Aside from these, it's a cute game with a nice art style and good sound quality.

Judith against the fierce demonic caramel eaters by Nickelfoolish 2024-04-15T21:20:28Z

The art style is so cute! The game made me felt like I was sewing together Pokemons and sent them to war.

Spellmancer by DenkiTheGamer 2024-04-16T16:45:20Z

Really fun puzzle game, although I also got stuck with getting the rock up in the blue room.

Cube's Calling by Icaka 2024-04-16T09:15:56Z

A really fun game, makes me wish there was more of it! Also it's really impressive you made it with your own engine, really love the minimalistic graphics! They're pleasant to look at.

Burger Ritual by meylish 2024-04-18T08:37:40Z

I was a fun game! Got the good ending on the first try!

burger.png

TAKE ME HOME by PlintusB 2024-04-16T08:43:13Z

I really love the visuals, they are very pleasant to look at. Around Sunday the mutants started looking really cursed, that was awesome.

There were some issues with animals registering clicks though. Sometimes I had to click literally over a dozen times for my click to be registered, and I tried clicking in different spots.

Demon Doodles by Storeyware 2024-04-18T06:35:35Z

Loved this game, it's so addictive! Wish there was more. I even replayed it just because somehow this simple concept of drawing something and trying to get it as accurate as possible while under serious time pressure is really fun for me. Great job!

Sokoban Summon X by Zowie 2024-04-18T20:27:50Z

Really loving the game so far! It's very clever, although I'm stuck at trying to find the 3 items to tribute. I'll try again tomorrow, but just thought I'd leave the feedback here, so I won't forget.

I'm quite curious about the endings.

Cat In Hat by AntOnion 2024-04-16T07:18:36Z

Cute game! Do all levels require you to use all the arrows? In most of them I had quite a few leftover, and I'm not sure if I solved them the intended way.

Cat In Hat by AntOnion 2024-04-17T20:00:09Z

@antonion In that case I managed to beat all levels with 3 stars! :tada:

LD57 — Depths

Deep Pursuit by Andreas Roschal 2025-04-09T20:39:59Z

I went over 500 meters in that bag, and it still took less time than finding my keys irl.

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-07T22:48:27Z

@0x-void-x0 Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Yeah, these kind of games require quite some patience and can be quite rage inducing. I didn't plan to show the bar normally, as I feel that can take an element away from the game, which is relying on one's sense of time in order to estimate the jumps. But I definitely see that the bar does help too, glad you found the easy mode useful!

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T11:56:42Z

@elian-geser Thank you for the feedback! I also had someone who playtested it say that for example the second level was more fun and could've been first. My idea with the first one was that it didn't have any fancy mechanics, so it would be a tutorial, although I guess I made the jumps there a bit more precise, as I wanted to ensure the player pretty much masters it before adding more mechanics. But yeah, I do agree that I may have overdone it, and the first one should've been easier.

@philocode Thank you! Looking back the charge time is really longer than it should be. Probably having it half this long would be better. Glad to hear that you think it does Jump King justice!

@toupaks Thank you for the kind words! I'm also the type of player that whenever there's a challenging game, I'm too stubborn to let it beat me, and I keep pushing, it just feels fun to me. Very glad you enjoyed it!

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T17:17:43Z

@wheelsx the controls are displayed when pressing esc, but I do see your point that I could've displayed them better on the screen in the first area as a tutorial. Thank you for the feedback, that's definitely something I would add if I were to redo this game!

The varied difficulty comes from enabling "easy mode" in the escape menu, and also unlocking all checkpoints without needing to reach them, so if you get stuck at a part you don't want to do again, you can skip it.

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T17:18:38Z

@aveezavr there's one if you enable easy mode when pressing esc.

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-10T20:14:45Z

Thank you everyone for the feedback!

@monogatari you can have the charge bar displayed if you enable easy mode (in the pause menu after pressing esc). I do agree with faster charging though, others also mentioned in, and I too agree that I should've made charging to full like 1 second instead of 2. Glad you liked the cutscene! c:

A Final Deed by 0X_VOID_X0 2025-04-07T23:26:22Z

It's a very unique and fun game! Finished the story and played arcade a little, and was planning on grinding arcade for hopefully a perfect score, but there are some impossible cases that ruin the run, getting one that refers to itself happens quite often for me (the 3 here), and sometimes the number refers to a letter that's doesn't even exist (the 6 here). issue.png

Other than that, it's a very fun experience! I don't know if you're planning to patch the impossible ones, but if you do, let me know!

The OPERATOR by Tomtomgome 2025-04-08T10:40:08Z

It's a really unique game and I loved playing through it! Also it had a nice twist in the end.

One issue I had though was that once you get to the right side of the "map", travelling there start feeling really slow, and with my luck (had around 8-10 squads die there, I was unlucky and pretty much always chose the wrong way), I feel around half an hour of my playtime was just waiting for the squad to make it there over and over again, without much player interaction, just to immediately choose the wrong way on the next node. I wish there was a way to speed it up, or have a minigame you can play to pass the time.

Aside from that, I really enjoyed the game, and it's a creative way to track progress to have the player use random stickers, and assign a meaning to them, marking out the traps and safe ways with them.

Great job!

Nomisoul by Danyclockworker 2025-04-08T08:23:17Z

It has some really nice vibes, I befriended the cat!

Submergency by gobos12 2025-04-08T08:02:48Z

I absolutely love the music and the style, my record is a little above 200k!

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T15:26:57Z

I love the music, and the artwork is also gorgeous. I needed to read the comments to realize one could jump, at first I though that was an issue with the game, but starting it fully over, I realized it was displayed on the screen at one point. After that I finally managed to deliver a pizza in an adequate quality.

Also, it's interesting how you and I both had the same story idea, and even the intro is almost the same. It felt a bit weird hearing the intro because of that.

Not Too Deep by Crak 2025-04-08T14:54:40Z

It's a really fun concept, and the execution was on point too. I had to replay it a few times to try to check multiple ways to fail something and also get them right. Great job!

Breadwinner by Pinkydem0n 2025-04-07T23:33:06Z

I'd just like to let you know that I cannot find any links or downloads to the game, neither is it embedded, so in its current state nobody can play it.

We're at the bottom by ChiFu 2025-04-09T20:30:42Z

It felt like playing "There is no game", I guess that's where the inspiration must've come from. At one point I was thinking "maybe the developer was preparing for the doors theme, and wanted to go with that anyway", and you did in fact confirm my suspicions. It was a really fun little puzzle experience though, great job!

Out of the Well by Ilmoro 2025-04-09T21:29:11Z

I did speedrunner things. It was a blast though trying to find new strats (like going diagonal because it's faster, sticking to moving platforms to skip sections, double jumping at platform ledges), but in the end I managed to find the perfect strat. speedrun.png

Depth of your Thoughts by mauzart 2025-04-07T22:07:18Z

It's quite good for a first 3D prototype if you only started developing a month ago. The atmosphere and the vibe were really on point, and despite me not understanding French, I still felt that what was being said must've been some... Well, deep thoughts. Would love to go through the experience if you do the English translation.

It's also great that for your first jam you've already estimate the scope in a way that you could finish it in time. I definitely had big issues with that back when I first participated in a jam, and it ended in an incomplete rushed mess.

Great job!

Depth of your Thoughts by mauzart 2025-04-09T20:07:27Z

@mauzart I replayed it with the translation now and wow. I absolutely love the thought provoking inner dialogue. It's relatable on so many levels, and it indeed got me to just sit still and let it sink in during a hasty day. I loved it!

DropDeep by Elian Geser 2025-04-08T14:47:58Z

Simple, yet very fun and addicting gameplay. The art style is also really great! This is my high score so far: highscoredropdeep.png

♂Deep♂Dark♂Fantasies♂ by mr_mesmer 2025-04-09T10:51:03Z

If this game doesn't get 1st place in every category, and then GOTY, I don't know what will. Great job forsenE

SIRTET by Airgameboys 2025-04-09T14:58:03Z

As someone who loves playing Tetris, this game is absolutely amazing and my favorite entry so far! It's a game that I will probably play even after the jam is over, just because it feels so addicting and fun. Sometimes the Tetris muscle memory takes over for a brief second to ruin it all as I want to place the piece how you normally would, but that's on me.

Great job on the game, here's my high score so far: sirtet.png

I could've played on, but I accidentally pressed left one too many times.

LD59 — Signal

Follow It by jk5000 2026-04-21T06:36:07Z

I got quite spooked by it. At first I followed the light, then did it again with the red lights, and I was genuinely afraid there might be an incoming jumpscare or something.

The atmosphere of this game just builds tensions so well. Great job!

Beneath The Crust by Kahztein 2026-04-21T11:57:30Z

A very fun and addictive game. Once the upgrades get out of hand, it's so satisfying harvesting tens of thousands of dollars in seconds. Wish I could play it more, but unfortunately after a while it becomes a slideshow due to all the items spawning, and when landing on a planet worth $100+million, the game just freezes.

Regardless, a very fun and enjoyable game! Really feeds the brain dopamine.

Good job!

Ziggy Zapper and the Robot Factory by rogual 2026-04-21T17:33:53Z

Incredible level design, and a lot of polish! I'm impressed by how you managed to create all this little puzzle rooms with such a great level layout as well, and execute it with such quality solo in just 2 days. Hat's off to you, great job!

Signal Back! by sinemual 2026-04-23T11:15:40Z

Really fun game! This is the theoretical maximum score, right? signalback.png

SpaceRider by BlueCalx 2026-04-21T12:47:28Z

Great minds think alike!

Really loved the music and how it changed with the wave! I beat it a couple of times, although my highest score is only 59. Probably a skill issue on my part, but it felt quite difficult at the end to scrape together a few loops, let alone get a full chain. Regardless, it was a ton of fun playing this game, and to see an idea similar to ours realized in 3 dimensions. I can see myself coming back to it to try and get a new high score. The visuals are amazing as well, and overall, it's a fun game to play. Great job!

Signal Quest by Slowline 2026-04-22T10:21:06Z

I'm here to tell everyone how great I am because I beat the game.

I really enjoyed this game, I'm a fan of multitasking games where it gets overwhelming, so I definitely do have a bias though. Great entry!

We Come In Peace by Transkuja 2026-04-23T10:39:17Z

Damn, I missed the announcement of StS3, didn't even know it was releasing this week! Really fun game, I love how you incorporated signal into this by giving the cards two different effects.

MEGAHONK by kuviman 2026-04-21T14:35:41Z

megahonkrecord.png Very addictive game. Got to 3522. Love the vibe of the radio playing in the midst of all the chaos too.

Amazing entry, great job!

Wave Rider by Sariiger 2026-04-21T11:04:09Z

@lingzhao and @jo-bettaque glad you enjoyed it! About the hitbox, yeah, the shape of a U.F.O makes it a bit tricky to fit through gaps, the shift/dash mechanic was made to compensate for that issue. On a 2nd thought, a spherical player would've probably felt more forgiving.

Wave Rider by Sariiger 2026-04-21T11:59:24Z

@kremlebot Sorry, it was my first time ever trying to compose music, and it's not a field I've ever been involved in.

Wave Rider by Sariiger 2026-04-21T12:02:14Z

@rhookx Thank you for the review! I'm definitely checking out your game on the concept, curious to see about a cousin game! I was also thinking of making the music adapt to the wave, but I feared it would get too annoying. Maybe I really should've explored that idea a bit more rather than just dismissing it. Thank you for the feedback!!

Wave Rider by Sariiger 2026-04-23T10:53:48Z

@oradimi @tkap1 @coda-highland @echo-team Thank you for the constructive feedback! I also realized the game was a bit slow, but unfortunately last day was quite hectic and didn't have the time to fine tune the pace as much as I would've liked. Definitely not an excuse though, it probably would've already made a difference to allow the player to speed up the game with the press of a button. A missed opportunity for sure, I 100% agree with that criticism.

Guiding Signal by Kevin Meissner 2026-04-21T10:56:35Z

Really fun game with stunning graphics! I only lost 271 ships on the way.

I don't know if this was the intended way, but on the last level, I just farmed up 100+ money (while bringing some food), and didn't need to use the 2nd set of fishing hut and market.

Overall, very high quality game, good job on this entry!

Lidar Signal by Eugenik 2026-04-22T17:26:18Z

I do have a big bias, as lidar technology and self-driving cars were what I wrote my thesis work about years ago. So I absolutely loved this game! It was executed beautifully, like I loved how staying in one place gave more and more details about the environment, and the entire concept, and in general it was a neat experience.

Lasers by Ethery 2026-04-21T08:35:18Z

A nice quick puzzle game! I wish there were more levels, I really love the mechanics!

U.P.L.I.N.K by Gecko64 2026-04-22T16:36:22Z

Love the humor! The puzzles were great too, it was fun trying to optimize the levels and use as few items as possible.

In a puff of smoke by Loki Drams 2026-04-21T10:20:04Z

This is a brilliant concept. The amount of information is little overwhelming at first, but after some gameplay, it begins feeling more intuitive and natural.

Good job!

Destructive Interference by Rakthalekk 2026-04-22T16:54:53Z

Amazing game! It feels so polished, the music, art, gameplay, everything feels so smooth. Managed to beat all 3 songs on very hard, it was a really interesting and enjoyable take on the rhythm game genre!

Federal Bureau of Dance by drainkid 2026-04-21T07:33:42Z

Great job on this incredible entry! The art style and the music were both top-notch, like genuinely, and the gameplay itself was super unique and creative too, loved everything about this game!

So far easily the highest quality game on this jam I've played so far.

Signal Slasher by Tkap1 2026-04-22T09:24:10Z

Very addicting speedrunning game. Managed to get 3:19, which I'm satisfied with. Shaving off another 45 seconds seems insane.

The one level that I found more frustrating and feeling somewhat unfair (probably a skill issue on my part) is the one near the end, where there are rotating blades, each after two sets of spikes, following by some enemies. There must be a way to do that part consistently, but I haven't found it, so getting an unlucky starting cycle there just killed a lot of my attempts. Again, probably a skill issue, but I found that when the blades were aligned in a bad way and you had to "stall" for them to move, I wouldn't have the chance to make it to the other side, clear out enough enemies and move out of the way of the rotating blade.

Despite that one frustrating level though, I really enjoyed the game and grinding for a better time! It tickles the speedrunner itch in my brain.

Téloche by Magalix 2026-04-21T14:54:50Z

Really love the concept and the execution here! It took a couple of attempts to understand how it really worked (at first I didn't register that the right side changed speed, thought it was choosing between different audios, so I was lost on that).

But this game was a blast, amazing work!

THE MYSTERIOUS DEVICE by Itero Proto 2026-04-21T09:55:27Z

Really neat game! Got 4 endings (sad, mushrooms stolen, crazy, and good). Love how there are multiple win/lose conditions!

SCP-███ - Warehouse by FallenQWE 2026-04-21T11:33:08Z

No, **YOU DID IT** and **You're great**!

Took a couple of attempts to beat, but I really loved it. The graphics and sound design were amazing, and it was in the optimal way of challenging, where it didn't feel too easy, I was on my toes at the end still, but it didn't get frustrating either. So great job!

Jester’s Vesper by stisdan 2026-04-21T09:22:50Z

As a Balatro enjoyer, I absolutely love this game! The art style is amazing as well, and the game feels very polished.

Great job on this incredible entry!

Radio Active by kauri J 2026-04-23T10:15:36Z

Did you playtest it to see if this was beatable? I only need material and the finger left to complete the ritual, and even though I have space in my inventory, and I know where both of those are, I don't seem to be able to pick them up, even though I'm clicking on them. (I do have a knife too.)

The audio is also missing, or at least I haven't heard any.

Visually it's gorgeous, and the art style is absolutely beautiful though.

Eigenfrequency by graphene 2026-04-21T06:49:42Z

Got the key and finished the game! It was a really neat concept, the art style was gorgeous! I started getting invested in the story. The puzzle elements felt a bit off at times though, but overall a neat experience!

Ping to Survive by Mekuire 2026-04-22T10:38:08Z

It was fun and a bit challenging, took a couple of attempts to beat it.

I did notice that sometimes some meteors disappeared from the scans, even though I only used the scan when it was green. I saw it coming, then next scan that same meteor was no longer visible, and then it hit me. Maybe that's intended and there's just a big enough chance to detect a meteor, but it sometimes can miss it.

Regardless, great entry!

Save the Cat by Andrian 2026-04-23T10:49:51Z

It was short but sweet. The red cat in the image really looks like my cat at home, so I felt extra protective.

Rat Signal by Podrez 2026-04-21T15:08:56Z

The rat in the end was adorable. I loved the concept of only seeing a few angles, and trying to figure out which camera was where in the maze, and figuring out the rest from that limited information.

Amazing concept and execution!

Find Divine by vicebrother 2026-04-21T08:15:57Z

First attempt: I hear the creepy voices, panic, keep running away completely freaked out, contemplating on quitting because the voices are just so scary, and I end up running into a dead end. Even more panic. Incredible experience with a big spook factor.

Then I retried it at least 8 times after finding the tower, it didn't get any less scary. For some reason things started happening that didn't before, like random jumpscares at places where it didn't happen before. I don't know if these happen after certain number of attempts, random chance, or I just missed the trigger spot the previous times, but they completely caught me off-guard.

I couldn't quite find where to go after I got the message to go south. I went south a lot of the times, one time I managed to get another message to pop up (I don't know how), the other times it didn't.

An amazing experience for horror game fans! The sound design is also really good and unsettling, great job on this entry!
