This game had me screaming and clenching my butt the whole time .
I do not have the patience for these kind of games so as soon as I realized that there was an easy mode I turned it on. Though I would argue that the jump indicator should be in the game by default. I appreciate you considering the impatient of us lol.

@0x-void-x0 Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Yeah, these kind of games require quite some patience and can be quite rage inducing. I didn't plan to show the bar normally, as I feel that can take an element away from the game, which is relying on one's sense of time in order to estimate the jumps. But I definitely see that the bar does help too, glad you found the easy mode useful!
Great little game. Love the jump to move mechanic. Althrough the first level is a bit too hard for the first level. I understand you as the dev probably finish it easy, but its annoying to have to redo it 10 times just to get somewhere. Thats just a level design choice tho. And I gotta say, the little jump mechanic and the rediculou setting make up for it. Love it!
I can only recommend turning on the jump indicator as well - the maximum charge time of the jump seems pretty long to me and when I tried playing without it, i got stuck when trying to get up the first platform because I was apparently not patient enough with charging my jump. Other than that, it definitely does the original justice, good job!

The level of difficulty is insane and I loved it. Maybe a tad too much but it's probably because I don't usually play these types of games. The setup is lovely with the levels of hell, it's in theme with the difficulty. It feels really smooth and polished in the gamemplay area

@elian-geser Thank you for the feedback! I also had someone who playtested it say that for example the second level was more fun and could've been first. My idea with the first one was that it didn't have any fancy mechanics, so it would be a tutorial, although I guess I made the jumps there a bit more precise, as I wanted to ensure the player pretty much masters it before adding more mechanics. But yeah, I do agree that I may have overdone it, and the first one should've been easier.
@philocode Thank you! Looking back the charge time is really longer than it should be. Probably having it half this long would be better. Glad to hear that you think it does Jump King justice!
@toupaks Thank you for the kind words! I'm also the type of player that whenever there's a challenging game, I'm too stubborn to let it beat me, and I keep pushing, it just feels fun to me. Very glad you enjoyed it!

i like it
I do agree with the other comments, the jump indicator is really useful, maybe only enable it in the first circle in hard mode. But I really like the idea of only being able to jump, I had never seen that and it makes for a great mechanic.
Very fun interpretation of the theme. Quite challenging as well. Took me multiple tries to complete the first level. More than I am happy to admit, but I am also very patient. I dig the humor, the graphics are polished, its a fun concept. Well done!
Super annoying (in a good way)

Even with the jump indicator, it was very difficult for me . probably not for me . liked the music that smoothed out the emotions. But the movement mechanics (move right, left, jump) and the idea itself are cool!

"Jump King-like platforming game" means nothing to me. Some basic instructions or a gif would have gone a long way. Once I figured out jumping was the only way to move, through random chance I had to figure out how to jump higher.
Once I got going, it's brutal. I went in the first portal a few times, missed the second one, went into the third one. Once I went into the third one and was teleported to the beginning again, I decided it was too difficult for me. It would be more fun if it offered more varied difficulties. This type of jumping game is not one that I've practiced before.

I’d like to see a jump power bar here, but overall it’s interesting.

@wheelsx the controls are displayed when pressing esc, but I do see your point that I could've displayed them better on the screen in the first area as a tutorial. Thank you for the feedback, that's definitely something I would add if I were to redo this game!
The varied difficulty comes from enabling "easy mode" in the escape menu, and also unlocking all checkpoints without needing to reach them, so if you get stuck at a part you don't want to do again, you can skip it.

@aveezavr there's one if you enable easy mode when pressing esc.

@sariiger I played the web version in fullscreen, esc takes it out of fullscreen. I didn't realize if I press it a second time I get a menu. It changes how a feel about it a little bit, but it's still just too difficult for me.

Thanx for that ultrarealistic depth-in-hell simulator! Beautiful variation of jump king. Easy mode real useful, appreciate it

Thanks for including easy mode, it made the games difficulty tolerable. Still I couldn't even get past the first section, that teleporter is brutal. I guess it's supposed to be a rage game, but I wish the difficulty ramped up a bit slower.
I read your comment on my game, yeah it's quite funny we had the same idea with different game play.

I didn't even notice the game's name actually at first, so I just thought it said pizza delivery and clicked. That was a pretty funny plot, but I definitely got bodied like everyone else without easy mode!
I think that if you did want to end up not doing with a charge bar for regular mode, it would be excellent to have a small animation cue to indicate the charge (such as the character begins shaking whenever you're at max charge).

I clearly don't have the patience for this but really lived the mechanic!! Also, I didn't realized at first that pressing longer the input jump would make me jump higher. I had to read the comments here
I think charging the jumps could be quicker. It is overall really fun to play though, good game!
Hey it's a good game, i had some fun but i think the character should charge his jump quicker. Also, maybe we could have an indicator when the charge is full ? or even a progressing feedback to tell you where you are in your jump. Level design is quite good anyway and sfx and music are fitting very well. Good job =)
Oh and th elittle cutscene with voice acting is hilarious =)

Thank you everyone for the feedback!
@monogatari you can have the charge bar displayed if you enable easy mode (in the pause menu after pressing esc). I do agree with faster charging though, others also mentioned in, and I too agree that I should've made charging to full like 1 second instead of 2. Glad you liked the cutscene! c:
i am going insane -- why do i keep playing this game it is so frustrating -- actually its really cool -- thanks for making it :)
