LD57 — Depths

Depths Space 9 by Wisch 2025-04-08T15:22:35Z

For those who enjoy astrology and stargazing, this one’s for you. The gameplay is pretty simple and reaction-based. The warp jump was a bit painful — I had the volume sound all the way up — but overall, it’s an interesting concept.

That was the most I could manage to collect — my battery couldn’t take it anymore. But the game definitely has potential. I wasn’t a big fan of the tank controls and overall physics, but the core idea is cool.

Shattered Depths by Sharky3188 2025-04-08T17:04:31Z

There’s a lot of content here — the crystal mechanic is pretty cool, and running from monsters is fun too.

Apprehension by GreenRadiation 2025-04-08T14:19:53Z

I don't like mazes, but I finished the game. I liked that you can hear the monster if you didn’t manage to photograph it the first time — it gives you another chance. The lighting is good, and the monster looks cool visually.

Sun(d)less Descend by Foursay 2025-04-09T20:46:29Z

The sound design is so unique — as an Audio Designer, I loved it! You got all fives from me. The creepy lore and the whole concept are awesome. Great job! All Star for you.

Midnight Amplifier by hernandack 2025-04-08T15:38:18Z

An interesting game with distortion — it's both unsettling and mesmerizing at the same time. It creates images and silhouettes in your mind, but it also made me feel a bit unwell. I couldn’t finish it, but I did find the master key, and the voice genuinely scared me the first time — though after that, it stopped being scary.

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T17:17:35Z

I’d like to see a jump power bar here, but overall it’s interesting.

Loop Dungeon by retrome 2025-04-08T13:59:11Z

It's a funny interpretation of Loop Hero, with a bit of progression and cards that have their own effects. It's fun to watch the damage numbers grow, and the visuals are nice.

Mine Goblin by maximevincent 2025-04-08T18:23:08Z

Falling is genuinely fun, and it’s great to see this made in UE. The music is quirky, and the visuals with that shader are pretty nice. But there’s an issue with collisions — I often fell out of the map. Honestly, I wanted to fall into the gold veins, but couldn’t manage it. I ended up finishing the game using a collision bug.

Bloody Heart by Celtican 2025-04-08T18:48:26Z

I love roguelikes with choices — this one has a cool combat mechanic and a fun way to juggle cards. Awesome project

DEPTHS OF HUNGER by Poppy Entertainment 2025-04-08T16:20:12Z

An unusual mechanic — I made it to the bloodstream, and it got challenging from there. The minimalist boat design is neat, but the controls really make you stretch both your brain and fingers. Still, I have to praise the core mechanic and the split-screen concept.

GoldenDepth by Bassilij 2025-04-10T13:06:46Z

Great concept — searching for treasure in the depths is really fun! But I definitely wish there was a bit more speed underwater.

Dark Ness by Soul Grinder 2025-04-08T13:37:16Z

Interesting idea, it would be nice to add more interactivity to the birds, and of course I feel sorry for my Spacebar. The animal models are cool, and the nature atmosphere is great.

The Depths of Winter: Survive Until Spring by Hammy0212 2025-04-08T14:32:13Z

To me, it doesn't quite fit the jam's theme, but throwing snowballs is fun. The voice actor is distracting — I had to mute him, thankfully that option exists.

KILLWARE by deadjolly 2025-04-10T12:32:22Z

I really enjoyed it — it’s a solid game, kind of like a really good Arkanoid! I had a lot of fun and ended up upgrading everything. The UI is pretty decent, but in the shop, everything is the same color, so at first I couldn’t tell where my currency was. The ground turrets feel super strong unless you pass over them at a height. But honestly — this is a real game, and it’s a good one!

Descent Protocol by DuKe.ua 2025-04-08T14:50:08Z

The theme is well-executed, I completed all the levels but didn’t collect all the items. The character is cute, thumbs up for using UE. The physics are a bit wonky, but it’s fun to play.

The Quota by ArkansasLover 2025-04-08T15:54:25Z

As a sound designer, I have to say the audio works really well here — it's great. I really liked the atmosphere and the intro. The visual style is super cool, and the lighting does its job perfectly. At first, I got frustrated with how long the attack takes, but then I changed my strategy and started picking off the workers one by one. I made it to the end. This is a really awesome game, truly.

From Oblivion by Norah 2025-04-10T12:50:58Z

The storytelling is really well done — everything’s clear through the details. The ending feels quite sad if you think it through on your own. The environmental assets are super well-crafted, and the core idea behind it all is great.

The Adventures of Wormington by Logan_Core 2025-04-10T14:04:28Z

Wow, this is a great game! At first, I was skeptical and thought I was just earning gold for no reason, but then I noticed the shop, and everything clicked after that. The background music is awesome, and the boost effect is fun but sometimes a bit annoying. The game has a nice challenge and smooth controls. I found the key in 18 minutes — really enjoyed it! Thanks for the game!

Star Spawn by AngstjaegerStudio904 2025-04-10T13:41:41Z

Simple mechanics with straightforward JRPG-style upgrades, and the Cthulhu and monster sketches are really cool! It’s a shame there’s no sound or visual feedback for combat, taking damage, or upgrading — that would’ve added a lot. But I still played it all the way through… and released Cthulhu :D

Avoid the void by Danigabe 2025-04-10T13:17:39Z

The concept is super unique, but the controls feel really tough and stiff. The turning after tilting and after visual contact barely gives you a chance to stay on the edge — without strafe, it’s hard. But the idea, the sound, and the visuals are seriously good.

Loot Well by retonymy 2025-04-10T12:58:18Z

I honestly tried to control the chest, but when I gave up and just let go completely — I actually made it through, and it felt like a weight off my shoulders 😄 Real “ludka” moment. It’s kind of weird how the chest keeps wobbling all the time — that gets a little bit annoying.

BURIED by meylish 2025-04-10T12:05:44Z

Нуууу, мне как будто не хватило Импаката от падающих камней, и угрозы, я просто спускался вниз, немного тяжело управлять визуального фидбека не много, Атмосфера действительно кайф, визаул оч красивый.

MineDigger by dot_Ex 2025-04-08T16:28:46Z

A cool reimagining of Minesweeper, with a shop for item upgrades. I’m not a fan of Minesweeper, but I gave it a try.

Depth Cores by no_firing 2025-04-10T13:24:05Z

The core mechanic is cool — it gives off a bit of that procedural vibe, even though you can tell it’s pre-designed. With the right visuals, some polish on the upgrades and the shop, and a bit more sound work, this could really turn into a solid game.

Deep City by MilkiWay 2025-04-10T11:20:49Z

@trevor-lentz Thank you for your feedback, I'm really glad you enjoyed the sound design! Just to clarify, our team consists of three people: one programmer, one audio designer, and one 3D modeler.

@swooty This isn’t just feedback — it’s a full-on review, and I’m honestly a bit shocked (in a good way) by it. We’re aware that the UI still has its issues and challenges — this was our first experience creating a strategy game. But we really wanted to dive deep into the theme, using technical solutions through sound and gameplay. Admittedly, some of it still feels a bit “rough around the edges,” but I’m really glad you immersed yourself in the game that much.

@disvent It’s possible that you built a different type of building on “Fabric” — it’s actually a resource too. We know it’s not as obvious as we’d like it to be, but still, thank you so much for playing our game.
