I like the aesthetic. The embedded game was bit choppy in my browser though.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD57 → Depth Cores

Game looks great! Just the lagging, but when you fix the lags, the game is super fun!
Yeah, a shop would've been fun to be able to purchase weapons (or upgrades) from.
the lag is a little painful to play with, but the game looks really clean and smooth!
This is a really nice little concept. I played it first without reading any of the info, just to see what would happen and I had a great moment where I went out a while from the free zone and then it told me to go back and enemies spawned and I panicked cause I had no idea which way to go to get back. I did find the way in the end though ;) I really like the landscape and being able to mine everything is cool, although clearly it causes some issues currently with performance. Once you get out a bit it calms down which is good, so the game is definitely still playable and fun! Like you said yourself it would be cool to have the shop with upgrades and things to work towards, but as a concept this is neat, nice job ^^
I enjoyed mining cubes and lava, and u know despite it's made from primiteves like capsule cube and etc it looks stylish and nice. I would like to see that game in a "dark" mode, so the flashlight would be more useful) Thank you for this game!
Good game, I clicked from the feed yesterday after you talked about going from one concept to another and ending up at extraction shooter, like so many games these days lol.
Gameplay loop is solid (I mean, you didn't deviate from the recipe, but executed it all well). I liked the level design and how it introduces you to the game at the beginning, most jam games just throw you right in.
My only critique (aside from the lag, which I fixed by switching from my laptop to desktop and playing from the download instead of online) is the arrows from the free zone. As a player, I was inclined to keep going straight, and then there was an onscreen prompt to keep going straight, so I thought the arrows were for later. When I checked after the first extraction, one of them was indeed the shop-to-be, but the other was more tutorial! LMB to shoot is intuitive, but I would have liked to see all instructions in a straight line that the player must walk through, then extras like the shop to the sides. I imagine this area is a shooting range to be, but still would like to see all tutorial parts on the core path.
That nitpick aside, well done!
@whalejam @librory @oter Thankk you all for feedback 💖
It seems like a very fun game, too bad you didn't manage to finish it and to add some better models.
@thereddevil Thank you :) The concept didn't come out right away, it would be unfair to upload updates after the end of the jam... but some work on finalization is already underway
Really cool concept, I like it. The controls are easy to use and all looks good quite good even without major assets or art. I did have some trouble with the sound (there was no sound) and also it lagged a little bit. Also noticed that some of the red capsule enemies seem to take more hits than others, not sure if that is intentional. Other than that, really liking it, well done! Can see this becoming a nice resource farming/bullet hell
Loving the bloom lighting and post processing!
Had fun!
The core mechanic is cool — it gives off a bit of that procedural vibe, even though you can tell it’s pre-designed. With the right visuals, some polish on the upgrades and the shop, and a bit more sound work, this could really turn into a solid game.
@angry-fridge @dandee @aynu @aveezavr Thank you 💖

I kinda regret not getting to the later area because that last screenshot looks awesome :D I think it's a good base for some roguelite if you made the shop accessible, so we could get weapon upgrades and more! I believe this could pop well with the sound and music added, too. Good job and congratulations on finishing the game for the jam!
Good job
I really regret the lack of the store :)
I like the concept and the mining (both, aiming and animation). for the red creatures it was really difficult to aim at them, so some kind of melee attack or blast could have been nice.
for me there was no sound and I'm not sure if that was just a problem with my system or if there wasn't any.
@vsesl @3deimos Thank You :)
@winniehell Thank you for feedback. The game has no sound :)
Okay, the idea of a top-down extraction shooter sounds really interesting. It’s a pity the concept wasn’t fully realized for the jam, but I wish you the best of luck with bringing your idea to life!
Hm, audio did not seem to work for me - did you mean to opt out of that category?
I had fun otherwise, I liked the 2.5D aesthetic. Fighting was a bit annoying because once the red thingies are touching you, it seems like your bullets pass through them.
That's a very intriguing screenshot under "something new" - are you working on post-jam updates?
@sangheli Thank you ^^
@ditam I'm working on post-jam updates yes :)
