Nice visual in the game, I love the depths of the sea. You did it well.
Cool game with a positively terrifying atmosphere! I think it would benefit from having two additional keys for up and down movement, so you can navigate more independently from the camera direction.
Loved the graphics! Collecting the first coin was interesting, but then the metal detector kept scaling into the red zone after and it was unclear where to go next
Visuals nice, but cannot differ water surface from "sky". So there is no way to know if u moving towards the surface, but watch ship floating up. Like effects of water flushong from the face and moving objects, nicely done. Sounds are good too, can feel the vibe! Nice work!
Nice game and good vibes! It took me a while to get the hang of it, but it's a good idea! One thing that I've missed is a indication from when I'm swimming upwards towards the surface, when I don't have the boat in line of sight it gets tricky to know if I'm actually moving up. Congrats on finishing!!
Overall a pretty solid game and I like the idea behind it. The jellyfish being above each of the treasures is a pretty nice touch to help play the game. The main issue with the game is funnily enough how deep it is - some of the treasure is too deep making it extremely hard to get. Some of the coins you hardly have enough time to do anything before you immediately have to resurface. This caused a few deaths that felt unfair especially when I was on the last coin and spent about 2 seconds or less near the actual coin and still died. The mechanic that the game revolves around is fun tho and I really enjoyed trying to find the treasure and the game does look very good
Really enjoyed the game! Awesome graphics and atmosphere. I agree with the other comments — it would be great to move up and down independently from regular movement.
That's fine. It's hard to understand where to float up to and I'd like to be able to move faster somehow, for example, when accelerating, oxygen would be used up faster.
Thanks
@mauzart Thanks for playing! Maybe I should have increased the ray tracing range or added some highlighting to the rocks to make interaction easier.
@liquid Thanks for the feedback! The idea with the controls is cool, I'll take note.
@duckmaniac Glad you played! There are several coins on the map, they made it so that the radar points to the closest one. So after picking up a coin, the radar "hooked" another coin in its area of action.
@librory Thanks for playing! Yes, it would be good to improve the underwater orientation. For now, the most reliable way is to simply lift the mouse as high as possible (the maximum angle is limited, so the player will not turn over)
@david05 Glad you managed to play! And thanks a lot for the comment! Indeed, at the deepest point there is enough oxygen only if you dive from the surface at almost a right angle. Perhaps it is worth working on the level design or difficulty balance here.
@wanabi Thanks for the feedback! The idea with acceleration is interesting, worth thinking about!
Such a nice-looking game!! But I think the oxygen mechanic could maybe be removed — it feels like the game would be more fun if you could explore the depths more calmly. Right now, the oxygen just forces you to go back up every now and then, which kind of breaks the flow.
Cool underwater treasure hunt mechanic! For me personally, adding some guidance, like landmarks, might make the treasure hunt even more awesome. Overall, it's a fantastic game—especially considering it only took three days of work! Well done, fellows!
Great concept — searching for treasure in the depths is really fun! But I definitely wish there was a bit more speed underwater.
Great visuals
Out of all the games I've played so far where we're swimming down into the depths, this conveyed the feeling and atmosphere the best *by far*. Really really nicely done!
I really enjoyed the locating mechanic, as it's a simple tool and you allow us players to figure out the strategy to use it. I also think the amount of oxygen was really well tuned, sometimes you could uncover a part in a single dive, but sometimes you had to return up for air and go shuffle the rest of the debris. In my opinion, perfectly executed on the pacing, nice work!
The atmosphere and sounds of the game are pretty good!
There's a bit too much physics in the game though :D Usually in first-person games, the character's camera isn't rotated if something pushes him away, it's better to lock the rotation so that you control it yourself. Especially if it happened because of physics pushing away objects.
I liked the presence of jellyfish as an indicator of where to look for gold, it's a really good trick.
Subnautica vibes! I like being able push stuff away, and finding stuff is always satisfying.
I was expecting a monster to come out since it was so atmospheric! I think the player's rigidbody physics was messing with me a bit, and it would have been nice to move faster, but overall pretty nice
Необычная игра, только у меня FPS просаживался, когда я на монетку натыкался. Так и не нашёл ни одной =\
great visuals! I found hard to find the deepest coins because of the oxygen limit. Maybe try to make a smaller level next time to show your gameplay elements faster ;) thanks for your game it was pretty good
