Align The Sea by CursedEmbassy 2025-04-10T14:31:05Z

I found the gameplay loop quite fun. Extremely funny game and I like the art. Just think it could have done with a bit of direction telling you what you needed to do. I'm assuming I beat the game, because there was nothing left that I could do, if that's the case then some kind of clear win condition is needed.

Somnium by Roitchie 2025-04-08T14:09:15Z

This is a really good game, I can definitely see the inspiration from other non-euclidean games like super liminal as well as the general aesthetic definitely fits the vibe of some popular images of liminal spaces online. If you don't know how these non-euclidean puzzle games work I can definitely see this being difficult because it doesn't really explain what to do, I've played a few myself and still got a little lost sometimes while playing this. My biggest issue is that it's not long enough - I really wanted to play this some more, but sadly that's just how game jams go. Your team did a really good job making this game and I can see the passion that you all put into this, every person did a good job

Riches From Below by negdo 2025-04-09T22:39:09Z

Really good game, super fun and amazing graphics.

Accidentally killing a diver for the first time is extremely funny but I think you should maybe explain that they respawn.

I personally found that the upgrade system didn't give much benefits compared to the cost of each item so on about day 3 I just stopped upgrading and focused on saving case.

On day 7 I found treasure that took me from a little under 3000 to a little over 9000. That genuinely shocked me and made me laugh a little because I did not expect to find treasure that would pay off my whole debt in one go.

Genuinely impressive that this was made in just 3 days tho good job :)

Cheese is the Reason by AXLplosion 2025-04-10T00:02:39Z

Honestly really impressive game, I can't believe this was made in 3 days. Art, story, gameplay and humour are all incredible. Normally say where I found issues or ways to improve the game in my comments, but there were no issues and I can't see any way to improve this masterpiece. Amazing work!

Depth Self - A narrative game by Flokami 2025-04-11T21:45:55Z

Really good game, interesting concept. Trying to align things through multiple windows is such a cool idea. Interesting take on the theme too. The story is also really good, but damn I did not expect it to get so sad. I know that was the idea tho so good job on capturing that emotion through this game!

Turtles All The Way Down by VerttiXPertti 2025-04-08T13:27:42Z

The game is pretty simple, but overall it's quite fun. The description says it's a rage platformer and it definitely achieves that so good job

Depth Explorer by OnlinE_Play 2025-04-09T21:53:04Z

Really love the art and music of the game. The core idea is really good too.

I think you should explain that you need to swim into fish to eat them to fill your hunger bar.

Sharks, but you know that already.

I think also the health regen needs to be sped up by a lot, because I spent a lot of time waiting for my health to regenerate before I could try to do anything in the water again.

But this is a genuinely good game and I had such a fun time playing it. So keep up the good work and good luck with any future games you make!

Hellevator by MrManGuy 2025-04-11T23:37:33Z

Really simple yet fun game. I like the art style and sound/music of the game. I somehow found it kinda funny how you can just randomly lock yourself on a floor with nothing to do, almost like I'm trapped in one place for eternity as a result of the consequences of my own actions

Miku Miku Dungeon! Penguin Ice Rescue by Miku 2025-04-10T00:47:57Z

Really good game I quite enjoyed it and the humour was good too. Really impressive what you managed to do in such a short time. The text started going out of text boxes and off screen at the end, but other than that there was no issues. Good job on the game! :)

Used To Be by Heiden.BZR 2025-04-10T20:53:12Z

Very interesting idea. Was fun to play and looks amazing

GoldenDepth by Bassilij 2025-04-08T13:13:28Z

Overall a pretty solid game and I like the idea behind it. The jellyfish being above each of the treasures is a pretty nice touch to help play the game. The main issue with the game is funnily enough how deep it is - some of the treasure is too deep making it extremely hard to get. Some of the coins you hardly have enough time to do anything before you immediately have to resurface. This caused a few deaths that felt unfair especially when I was on the last coin and spent about 2 seconds or less near the actual coin and still died. The mechanic that the game revolves around is fun tho and I really enjoyed trying to find the treasure and the game does look very good

Where I belong by un_kirik 2025-04-10T21:54:31Z

Really loved this, the art was amazing especially the little comic cutscenes. Simple controls yet so fun to play. I actually really liked the story even tho it was kinda simple and the ending was wholesome. You guys did an amazing job on this game! :)

Shinjuku-eki by Solis 2025-04-11T22:52:58Z

The game looks amazing and I love the voxel art style. The creepy aesthetic/vibe is really cool and done well here so good job on all those. I do think some kind of direction for the player is needed tho. Other than that it's a really good game good job!

Rock Bottom by Bex2499 2025-04-11T22:28:57Z

Really fun and funny. Enjoyed it

Meanepth by rensun 2025-04-08T17:02:52Z

Really amazing game, the atmosphere is just incredible. I love the art style, the pixelated look can be easily messed up but here it was done right. The colours of some of the stuff are just so vibrant and amazing too.

I honestly found pressing e on the shaking objects quite intuitive, the only time that went wrong was when the screen was red and shaking so much that I couldn't see what object was shaking in the tunnel.

The only big issue that happened for me was that on the ending screen my mouse didn't reappear so I couldn't click on any of the options so I had to force shutdown the game. Idk if that was just a "me thing" because don't really see any comments on that, but in case it isn't then that might be something you wanna fix.

Your team should be proud to have been able to make a game like this in just 3 days

DigDig by Overlix 2025-04-08T15:17:04Z

So overall it's a really good game, beautiful art style and lighting. Sound design and music are good.

So my laptop didn't have much of an issue running this game, I didn't see any noticeable frame drops or stuttering, but it definitely got hot which I can tell by my fans as well as just feeling my laptop (i5-12450h, 3050 mobile and 16gb ram).

I got relatively far, I got up to the diamond pickaxe (not handle but I can't think what the top part is called). As far as I can tell all the ores do spawn you just need to go deeper for better ores, which is normal for a mining game. So people that couldn't get past the iron and coal crafting just didn't dig deep enough.

The only issue I could see was that when mining you could sometimes see through the walls, my guess is that it's because the back of the ground isn't rendered and sometimes when you mine it takes a second to render the newly generated ground. For a game jam game that's not an issue, but if you guys decide to take this game further you'd want to look into that.

Honestly as an unreal game this is extremely impressive. The mechanics are extremely unique and I didn't really think something like this would be possible in unreal engine, but you guys proved me wrong. You often hear about this super realistic games that often seem to be extremely similar in the way they approach visuals and mechanics. This game has such a unique art style and plays so differently from a typical unreal game which I really enjoy.

Sorry for the long comment btw

Deep concussion by xoudz 2025-04-10T21:30:40Z

Really good game. Love the graphics and whole atmosphere of the game. Once you get a rough idea of where you are in the labyrinth based off of branching paths it gets easier. The only hard part for me was the rocks at the end a+w+d was a bit hard but a+w+s damn I could not get it right. Idk if it was placebo but switching to an actual keyboard rather than my laptop's keyboard somehow made it easier. Once I got past a+w+s, a+w+s+d wasn't actually that hard. I will say 10/10 for that ending screen, I gave you 5 stars in humour for that. Sadly there was no quit button so had to force close the game. But overall I really enjoyed the game except for that a+w+s rock

Shelter from the Blight by Yiraa 2025-04-09T23:42:16Z

Really good game, was fun to play. Also found that layer 2 (stone) was a bit weird with how much you get compared to other layers. Meant I had to restart a few times until I had good enough rng to take the 200 stone with me to the last layer and create a single miner/digger to break through and beat the game

Depths by AlexRak2 2025-04-10T22:16:06Z

Such a cool concept and a really fun game. Whenever an enemy gets pinged by the sonar it always makes me nervous so you did a good job there

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-08T15:26:00Z

@letmebeme so if you hit any death barriers (i.e. the walls in the maze level) or if you run out of time on the final level you lose a life. Lose 3 lives and you die which takes you back to the start of the game. So it is extremely possible to not make mistakes on a playthrough, when playtesting I accidentally chose the right way on the final level on my first attempt. Hope that answers your question :)

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-09T15:52:03Z

Thank you for your feedback @volkolak sorry about the labyrinth. Surprisingly enough that is after I made it easier. I had assumed that it was good but on the final playtest of the game I realised how hard it was, but sadly didn't have enough time to make it easier. If I had time I definitely would have increased the size of the path. Glad you managed to find the right path for the final level in the end :) sorry to have caused trouble for you in the labyrinth

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-09T20:46:41Z

@volkolak thanks for the kind words. A friend of mine played the game today and he also had a similar issue with the level.

Sadly I can't make changes to it for the game jam, but if I make something similar in the future I will keep in mind his feedback and yours.

My general idea for what I could have done better is increase the size of the path a bit, changed the colours of the walls to make them easier to distinguish from the void and reduce the size of their hitboxes. The reduced hitboxes is so that the player can go slightly into the wall without colliding which makes it a bit more forgiving and allows the player to not have to do sharp 90 degree turns when going around corners.

Thank you for the feedback because after all a game jam is supposed to be about learning and improving and constructive criticism and feedback are the best ways to learn from mistakes. So again thank you :)

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-10T09:45:18Z

Thanks for the feedback @breadstick glad you enjoyed parts of the game! :)

Sorry that the game was unforgiving with the wall touches and death system. This seems to be a common issue, so in the next game I make I'll make sure to take that into account and I'm sure the other people in my team will too

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-11T20:48:37Z

Thanks for the feedback @oddmes! I've changed the thumbnail to the brighter one that was saved on my system that I used for the Itch page. Hopefully this attracts more players

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-14T09:31:15Z

@noagard thanks for the kind comment, hope the maze wasn't too tough!

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-14T09:39:51Z

@whysguy52 changing the sensitivity rn is a bit difficult, because then I'd need to find a sensitivity that everyone would like, I tried to go for a sensitivity that would work the best on the most mice (idk if that makes sense). On the next game I make I will try to include a setting for mouse sensitivity tho :)

And sorry about the maze. So I'm the one who designed the maze, but I didn't design the lives system. The restarting when losing the life was more designed for the final level, but we decided to integrate it into the maze. I definitely should have designed the maze better. The difficulty of the maze combined with the restart system definitely makes it feel unforgiving so sorry about that.

I am glad that you did enjoy parts of the game tho! Thanks for the feedback! :)

Noesis by Jamie3721 2025-04-25T10:27:50Z

@xparker thanks for the feedback! Yeah the movement ended up being a little janky especially in the maze section sorry about that. Next time I make a dialogue system I'll add a skip button. Idk why I didn't tbh, because I hate unskippable dialogue too. I think I just forgot lol. Glad you enjoyed some of the game tho

Depths of Color by threegoldeneggs 2025-04-11T23:21:53Z

Such a simple yet fun game. Also can't go wrong with cats
