Another great Ludum Dare entry quill. Sound is especially good and funny.

Another great Ludum Dare entry quill. Sound is especially good and funny.
A very fun top down schmup. I like the music and while the graphics are simple they are good enough.
Good game. I like the graphics and use of the theme. Game did get repetitive after a while though, more enemy variety and different enemy behaviour would go a long way to improving this.
I like it. Gets really intense after a while. I did find a bug however, when the game is paused you can continue to shoot and the sound will play in the background.
I like this a lot. The music and art work are all really great. It's a more unique take on the theme than i've seen with a lot of other games. I agree with others that the movement is a bit slow, but you have fixed that since. It wasn't always clear where the buildings that were on fire were. A minimap or some other indicator might have helped. With a bit of polish this could be a really good game.
This is amazing, one of the best games i've played this dare. Theres a good variety of cards and enemies. The designs are all great. I can't find anything to fault.
I'm impressed. The audio sounds are great and creepy. I noticed that you can buy the 5 heart sword straight away, which just ends up killing you but that was the only bug i noticed. The graphics are fairly simplistic, but they do have a nice unique style. I also feel that the use of the theme is a bit generic, but I blame that more on the theme than you. Overall a very good game, especially considering it was made in just 48 hours.
Very trippy art style... i like it. I don't really get how it fits the theme though. It's a very unique concept, i would be interested to see what you can make of it.
One of the best games i've played so far. The music is excellent. The art and humour are great. I'm not too sure how it fits the theme though. Otherwise though a great entry.
For a first ludum dare game, this is really good. A few things to improve would be the feedback you give to the player about whats going on, i found it hard at times to understand what effect I was having. An instructions menu might also help to explain this. But otherwise a great first attempt.
First game i've given 5 stars for music, being able to play your own music and have the game react to that is great. The graphics were simplistic, with the exception of the visualiser. I don't really see how it fits the theme though. But i have to say given such a short time it's good and you should definately keep working on it.
very fun and fast paced. I like the artwork and shooting. I did however get several bugs relating to the upgrade menu, either it staying after the end of the game or it persisting when not at the camp fire. Other than the bugs though its a good prototype.
Definately one of the more unique takes on the theme. I like the art style a lot. The combat did feel a bit clunky, especially with your special attack only shooting in one direction, and not always the direction you are facing. Overall a good entry. You guys should definately keep working on it.
I liked the music but i couldn't move the character at the start. I tried using keyboard and controller and neither would move the player. So i couldn't experience the game. If you can fix that bug i'll replay the game and re-rate it.
I like the idea. Reminds me of one of Quill18's entries - Drill18. The upgrades and bots are fun to use and theres good progression. Some sound effects would've been nice but its understandable given the time constraints.
I really like the jazz music and abstract art style. If your traveling fast you can go through the smaller blobs without failing, not sure if thats a glitch or not. Definately a cool concept to expand upon.
Thanks for the feedback @kuviman. We have fixed several bugs since then and your bug should be fixed too.
@budaniel The drop at the end is likely a unity physics glitch with the types of colliders we used. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do about that without completely reworking the colliders. It also happens if you try and wall jump with the reactor in hand. Your meant to place that in the pedestal to go up and complete the puzzles.
@sleepystudios thanks for the feedback. We were strapped for time at the end and so we didn't have enough time to finish the instructions and tutorial hints
It's a good proof of concept. The shooting is fun but it would be nice if there were more types of projectiles and enemies to vary it up a little.
I like it. Very challenging. It's an interesting take on the theme. I think that audio would've helped provide more feedback for your actions. But for 48 hours it's very good
I like the concept and art a lot. The art style and aesthetic is really good. I do think that wall jumping could be inproved. It feels a little inconsistent and hard to control. I do like how the theme makes sense thematically. Overall a very good entry.
I really like the visuals and music. How it slowly builds up as you complete each puzzle. Some of the puzzles were a bit frustrating but I feel like that has a lot to do with Unity's physics. One of the more unique entries i've seen.
I like the music and aesthetic. The trump tweets are great. Some of the collisions need a bit of work as they don't always line up with the graphics. The 3D art is simplistic but it does the job. The 2D sprite of trump needs to be commended. Overall a very good entry.
Very unique entry. Some good humour and i agree with the other comments that you should've kept that rating slot. Now that I think about it this seems like a perfect fit for the theme.
I live the art stlye and the gameplay is fun. Adding different types of zombies would've made it more interesting. I got stuck on the right hand wall in the air after jumping into it. But otherwise a good entry
A nice little prototype. The concept is good. It would be nice if the aisles had graphics for the items so you know where to go to pick up each item. You also can't get through gaps with shoppers where it looks like you should be able to. Those minor annoyances aside for a game made by one person its very good. Definately worth developing further
It's a fun little game. A very unique take on the theme. An instructions menu would've helped, such as to explain that you cant kill zombies except with throwing nothing.
Enjoyable game. The time mechanic was fun. Sound and graphics were simple but charming. Having limited ammo and trying to navigate to the crystals in the tight space added some interesting strategy to it. Having more enemy types or weapon types would've been great. Overall very solid entry.
Really enjoyed this. One of my favourite takes on the theme yet. Very funny and the tone and mood was on point.
Really like the art style and the designs for the witch and flowers. Feels very charming.
I do agree with these other comments that it is quite difficult. Including the instructions image you drew here in game and explaining the other effects like the purple clouds would've been really helpful.
The melding together of the 2D and 3D elements works really well to the point that I actually forgot the rest of the room was 3D modelled, until I came back here to rate it.
I really liked the character and enemy art in this, very cute. The different types of spells were unique and interesting.
I was a bit confused about what to do at first though so adding a tutorial or tool tips for the spells would've been really helpful.
@harrison-dunn Thank you for your your extensive feedback. Those are all great suggestions. We decided on weaker player cards to fit the theme but I can accept that that could feel unfair. The background was meant to emulate the a poker table but at lower resolutions it may look a bit pixelated and not come across as well.
@ildenh Thanks for your feedback. Yeah we had a lot of fun coming up with the cards and their descriptions so i'm glad you found them funny.
@real-flamingicecubegames thanks for the feedback. There are 8 player cards and 7 enemy ones so yeah it seems you got unlucky with RNG. Glad you still enjoyed it though.
Enjoyed the game a lot. Combining the cooking and zombie killing was very innovative and fun. Music and graphics were very well done. Adding more types of food or weapons would've made it even better but given the time constraints it's understandable why this wasn't done.
Really love the character design and animations. The gameplay is fairly simple but fun and has some depth to it.
Cool and unique premise. After seeing so many infinite survival games this is a breath of fresh air.
Resource management and the random events adds some nice strategy to the game. I do wish that some of the events with only one option had more so it felt less RNGey. But otherwise a fun strategy game.
One of the hardest genres to get right especially in a jam so you should be proud of that.
Really loved the FMV clips of all the gods. Very impressive getting a god game done in 3 days.
Enjoyed this a lot. The puzzle elements have a surprising amount of depth and are challenging without being frustrating.
The impending dread you feel with death following close behind and the music was great, fits the theme very well.
Really well done game, I don't really have any criticisms of it that other people haven't already said. Very strong entry overall.
Laughed at the dialogue of the NPCs. Very interesting game and one of the more unique takes on the theme i've seen.
Well that was certainly an experience, and I mean that in the best possible way. The BGM was funny. The art style very cute.
The gameplay was a bit confusing at first so an in game tutorial would've been helpful but once I got the hang of the flirting minigame it was quite fun.
Very strong entry overall. Well done.
I really love the hand drawn art style for the character and enemies in this. Having different enemies and map design for each of your lives is really cool as well. One of my favourite entries so far.
Very interesting game. I really like the vibe and aesthetic. The menu music is great as well. I did find a bug where the settings I changed in the menu weren't applying to the game.
Fun little game. I got a high score of 31. Well executed. Adding abilities or enemies or other rooms or something could've made it more repayable but I enjoyed it for what it is.
Nice simple concept well implemented. The mix of abducting cows and tower defence is fun. The cow towers made me laugh.
Art style and music complement each other and the game well.
I did experience a visual bug after a while where the previous black explosion effect (soot?) left on the road would start to disappear as the bomb moved across the path. But otherwise a very fun little game.
very fun game. The different effects every 10 seconds kept the gameplay fun and engaging. I was also a bit confused about the stat system so an instructions menu would've been great but otherwise a fun little game.
This was quite fun. I was going to say it didn't fit the theme but you opted out of that. The movement and controls felt very good and responsive, especially once you upgraded your tank. Was fun to play. Feel like some audio would've made it feel so much more complete. But otherwise a solid entry. Well done!
Interesting game. I like the intensity that struggling for air brings. Definately one of the better takes on what is otherwise a fairly bad winning theme. I do agree the movement could be faster. But otherwise a fun little game. Good work!
Fun simple game. The different modes were cool with only being able to control certain aspects of the game. A few extra modes would've been great. Like maybe a mode where you can only control the direction you shoot but not when to shoot.
Interesting simple game. The music and sound effects are nice and causing the chain reactions is satisfying. I would also say some upgrades or ability to suck enemies towards you would've been great.
Really enjoyed this one. The humour and theme especially. Nachoverflow made me chuckle.
Surpringly high variety of tower types aswell with different attack types and ranges added some depth to the tower defence.
Only thing that would've made it even better is additional maps. But otherwise a really solid entry.
Those certainly weren't the types of packages I was expecting. It was quite fun and enjoyable though. The squelching sound effects of the organs were great and the gameplay, while a bit repetitive was fun and satisfying to do.
Please hug me I'm scared. Honestly a really great and unique idea. It really nailed the eerieness with the sound effects and vibe. And genuinely creeped me out.
I enjoyed this a lot. I love how we came up with a very similar idea to eachother. You know what they say, great minds think alike.
All the minigames were fun and intuitive and the music was nice. Some extra minigames would've been amazing but I can appreciate how time consuming they are to implement.
Hahaha, this game made me laugh a lot. It feels like a high effort shitpost and I mean that in the best way. The humour and narration is great. Shooting mechanics felt good and the light tower defence elements were cool. A bit more variety would've been nice. More gun types or turret types or enemy types but I can appreciate doing 3D modelling is very time consuming.
Honestly, the music in this might be the best of any game i've played this dare. The layering of the audio as the rounds go on, switching from left channel to right to both and then adding additional accompaniments sounded really great. It definitely deserves a 5 in that category, which is why it's such a shame you opted out of that category.
I am not sure if it was intentional but at the end of the 10 seconds the audio would glitch and keep skipping till the next round started.
The combat and movement felt good but maybe some upgrades or pickups as someone else suggested would've made that feel less repetitive. But this is a really solid entry, especially in audio and mood and you should be proud.
Really good game. Controls were smooth. The different mechanics every 10 seconds were fun and added some challenge and variety to the platforming. The art style is cute. Some sound effects for falling on the spikes or jumping would've been great but otherwise a solid game
Good game. I liked the art style for the demons and enemies. The tower defence elements and wave based gameplay was fun and a nice change from the many farming games we've seen this dare. The only complaints I have is that the menu UI was unfinished and there wasn't any music or sound effects but I can appreciate that with time constraints you probably just ran out of time. But regardless a solid entry.
Short and sweet game. The physics were really fun and made the game for me. frantically trying to grab other barrels and crates as they filled up was really intense but great. Yeah I don't really have any criticism for this. It does one thing really well and that's all it needed to do. Good job
This is a very fun and charming prototype. I wish you'd had an extra day to polish it. The ghost art is so cute it's great and harvesting time from the enemies is an interesting concept. I was a bit confused what the upgrades did so a tutorial or tooltip would've been great. Otherwise good entry.
This was really good. As a lot of other people have said the atmosphere and mood is amazing. The music and art style and premise all comes together to really evoke that feeling of sadness and regret. The only criticism I have is it was a little difficult, I kept failing early on by taking on too many negative feelings and the spirits not having enough positive. But maybe that is a commentary on depression and mental illness more generally. But regardless a really great and emotional entry.
Great game. Love the music and art style. Very fun to play and reminded me a lot of Stardew valley. Overall very good but if I had to criticise it I would say that it was a bit confusing knowing what to do. Having some instructions on what the different tools and items are and how to use them would've been helpful. Also I experienced a bug where the shop would stay open even if you moved far away, although maybe this was intentional. But these are small gripes in an otherwise really fun simple game.
Very surprised to see a visual novel entry. I enjoyed it though. I'm surprised at how well the art came out, i've never been able to get great results from stable diffusion so i'd love to know how you guys did it. The story was nice and pulled at my heart strings a bit. The only thing i'd complain about is that it doesn't really fit the theme, but honestly given how awful of a theme harvest was I completely understand your decision to just make the game you wanted to instead. Well done!
Hahaha, I enjoyed this a lot. Very funny with the comments the veggies make. Fun to play and the veggies are cute. If I had to give some criticism I'd say that it gets a bit repetitive after a while, adding different weapon types or more veggies would've been great but I can understand given the time constraints why this wasn't possible. Well done on the game!
fun game. The chopping down of the wheat is satisfying and the powerups like the big harvester are quite cool. I'm not sure whether I love or hate the car physics. It's so hard to control sometimes but then I feel like a race car with a harvester as a trailer probably would be.
This might be my favourite game visually so far. The art-style is great and everything fits that style well. Having it be two player as well is an interesting dynamic and very different than most of the games i've played here. I agree with shp that the controls felt a bit slippery which made it a bit difficult sometimes. But overall a good entry
It took me a few seconds to realise how this related to deliver. You're delivering the joke.
I think it's a really unique and innovative take on the theme and by far the most unique entry so far this jam. Personally the humour wasn't to my taste but it did elicit a few laughs out of me. I agree with @whywhy that it is a bit too easy. Maybe adding variable speed for the mouths or different paths it follows could add some challenge to it.
I really do love the concept of the game though and would love to see a polished post dare version.
Interesting setting and concept. Reminds me a bit of papers please. Trying to figure out if the details are correct and everything matches. I would've loved some music to complete the space setting but I like the idea itself.
The first rogue-like I've played this dare. A nice breath of fresh air. I like the ASCII style art. It is simple while still giving all the information needed.
I wish there were a few more sounds other than the beeping but I feel that part of that might've been a stylistic decision on your part.
I love the descriptions you gave for the characters. A few of them made me laugh. Very little to critique here just a fun game all around.
Fun game. Reminds me a lot of those auto-attack mobile games. And that is a big compliment. They are very addictive and fun to play.
The different weapon types were cool. The random direction pepperoni one felt a bit underwhelming though and using that first it quickly became apparent that was a terrible idea. The other two weapons work well though.
Some music or sound effects for hitting enemies would've made it even more satisfying.
Fun and cute platformer. I think using the physics with delivering packages is a really great idea and makes it so the puzzles require a bit more thought on how to pass them. I like the music a lot as well. Only negative is the controls are a bit finnicky. Especially with picking up and throwing the packages. But overall a solid entry.
This was quite fun. The physics combined with the obstacles made it a good level of challenging. I like the art style and also making the game in 3D deserves praise. I think having some audio would've been great. Also there seems to be a physics bug with clicking the respawn button where the van bounces and then respawns again. But other than that it was fun to play.
Thank you for playing and rating our game and the great feedback! @hani @cdunham @nonimad @mushgunax
Fun and cute little game. I really liked the art style and the platforming was fun. The ending was quite funny. Only negative I'd say is the motion blur was way too strong and was a bit distracting while running. But overall good entry.
Really like the atmosphere and mood of this entry. It has a very creepy isolated vibe. The art as well is great, the wolf being a particular highlight for me.
It took me a little while to figure out why the lack of north and south and also I was confused how I ended up winning. I think adding a bit more to the gameplay would've really made the excellent mood and atmosphere shine.
Given the time constraints I think it is very good.
Hahahah I love this. The characters and voice lines made me laugh. Definitely the funniest game I've played so far this dare. For your first game you've done a good job.
I like the character designs too. Sure it's programmer art but you make use of the limited art to create unique and funny characters.
I think the main pitful of the game is the movement and physics. The infinite jumping and lack of friction make the movement feel kind of unsatisfying and not very platformer like. Now part of this could be a stylistic choice due to the absurdity and satirical nature of the game itself. But it feels a little hard to control because of this.
But despite this I had fun playing it and it was very funny. So well done!
Really cool game. The visual novel and coop aspects of it are very unique and ambitious. The art and music is very cute. Echoing what some other people have said I wish it was a bit clearer what the demands and requirements of the babies were. But overall a fun and cute game. It's a lot better with the easy difficulty.
I like this a lot. The upgrades are especially creative and unique. And changing the art in the scene based on them is cool. Love the Gurren Lagann reference. Some sounds and animations would've helped the mood a lot but otherwise a really fun game. I really like these cookie clicker style, upgrade games.
For a first game this is very impressive. The art is good and the platforming physics felt nice. It was hard but not frustratingly so.
I'm not sure if it was a bug but the hearts don't respawn after you die which makes it a lot harder on subsequent runs. The sounds were nice but I think they should've been muted when you are talking to people. But I liked the game and it was fun to play and retry.
Well done and I look forward to seeing your future entries.
Wow this is seriously impressive. Making an RPG in 3 days is no mean feat. As some other people have said the music is really great and I love that every creature has its own song. It has a really magical retro vibe to it with the art style and music combined. Really great entry. Well done!
Very challenging but quite fun once I got the hang of moving and stopping at the right time. I managed to get to the end of the level after a few minutes of trying. Props for making it in 3D as well. Getting the visuals and the physics right is a lot harder with the extra dimension. I think some animations for the wall running would've made it feel a lot more satisfying.
A very interesting entry. The art style and gameplay is quite different than the games i've played till now. The sound effects of the goo are especially good at setting up the mood of them being dangerous and something alien. I loved the death sound effect, maybe I'm a bit sadistic haha.
I would echo what the person above said. Some more instructions would've been really helpful. It took me a while to figure out what I needed to do. The Keyboard controls as well are not very intuitive. But you do recommend a controller and I will say it feels a lot better with them.
For 3 days this is really impressive. With some small quality of life improvements there's a really great game here.
Wow, I know a lot of people have said this already but this is amazing. For 3 days the level of polish is extraordinary. It feels like the kind of party game I'd play with friends on steam. The voice acting, the music, the games, the upgrades it's all incredibly fun.
Now I'm really nit-picking here but some of the assets look a bit pixelated on a 4K screen. But considering this is a game made in 3 days it's really a stretch to expect this.
I will keep an eye on this. I feel like it has a strong chance of winning and I'd love to see a post dare version on steam some day.
This is great. I'm going to give you bonus points for not just fitting this dares theme but also delivery from LD53.
It's a simple concept but surprisingly satisfying and addictive. I legitimately lost track of time and played this longer than I should have. Really great entry.
Thanks for the ratings and feedback everyone.
@the-xj-project @caeonosphere @irinam I think you guys have perfectly highlighted the hardest thing about making a bullet hell - the difficulty. Dynamic difficulty or a difficulty gradient is definately a great idea for a post dare version though.
@wouter52 we added a spoiler tag with some hints for the Easter eggs. Take a look and see if you can find them now.
@shmi @bluedandelion Undertale was a big inspiration glad you enjoyed it.
Wow. The atmosphere in this game is something else. The tension and dread it manages to build up with the ever-present eyes, the cold and alien sounding music and the perfectly white interiors is something else.
Making a game in 3D as well is very impressive. Especially for a compo game. The puzzles are interesting and unique and the ending scene when you realise !> you are a meal for the creature watching you genuinely gave me goosebumps.
An excellent entry. There's really not much to critique. Even if the assets are simplistic they really match the clinical theme the game is trying to get across. A really great entry.
Wow. I'm so jealous. I've wanted to make a card game again for ages. This is so well done. It's polished. The cards all look great. The gameplay is simple yet has strategy to it. There's honestly nothing I can criticise about what's there. And echoing what others have said it's a very interesting take on the theme aswell.
If I had to be harsh I would criticise what isn't. Having some sound effects for picking up and placing the cards would've definitely helped complete the experience but honestly this is very professionally done. It's the kind of game I wouldn't be surprised to see on steam or the app store. With a bit of post dare love there's definitely a releasable game here.
Haha, limited "Space". That's a very clever take on the theme. Definitely the most unique take i've seen this dare. The game itself is fun. A simple concept well executed. Good level of difficulty.
Really not much to critique. I would just echo what Stronf said about having the option to undo a turn. As this can be a bit frustrating if you mess up.
Love the art style and mood of this. Very spooky with the limited space combined with limited visibility. Combined with the music it definitely felt unnerving. Not knowing what's in the next room or corridor.
Only complaint I have is the coin pickup sound is too loud. Legit made me jump when I heard it, maybe I'm just a scaredy cat XD.
But otherwise a great and very atmospheric entry.
I like this one a lot. The music and art and general gameplay does give off some FTL vibes as others have alluded to. I found quite a good strategy was to just build out horizontally as much as possible and add the magnets to maximise the money. Definitely a cool concept here which with some extra time to flesh out could be a really fun game.
Not really much to criticise here. Controls were easy to understand. I guess one thing to improve would be the UI. I think if you cant afford to place a room yet you should have the placement show up but semi transparent in red. That might make it a bit clearer and easier than nothing showing up and having to press the key again.
Well done!
There's a great game here. It's a shame that the technical issues at times overshadow that.
But first the good. I love the art. It's all expertly created. The stage, arena, decals and characters are all very professionally done. The music and sounds as well are all great. The gameplay is simple but pushing people off is satisfying.
However same as other people I have experienced technical issues with the game crashing, or with multiple enemies stacking on each other and their sounds getting glitched out, I assume as they collide with each other multiple times and the same sound is constantly playing. If you can fix these bugs though then everything else is very solid. I'd be happy to take another look at this once its fixed, feel free to @ me then
Very interesting and depressing entry. A very interesting depiction of mental illness and the dark thoughts people experience being personified. The music and visuals help to create a very creepy ambience and mood which I really liked.
The only issues I had was around combat. It was a little confusing sometimes where I would press E and hear the attack sound but the animation wouldn't play but it would still do damage. Sometimes it would play sometimes it wouldn't. I think making this a little clearer would've helped the combat feel better.
But other than that its a really great atmospheric game and I really like the concept of exploring mental illness.
For your first entry this is really good. The teleport mechanic is really unique. Especially as the play space gets smaller each time you use it. So you really have to think about whether the extra projectiles it shoots are worth it for making it harder to move around in future.
I lasted around a minute and a half in my longest run. I think that's a good length for a jam game. You typically want the player to be able to finish it in 5 minutes or less. The ghost art is quite funny I like it.
Only a few minor things to critique. I would change is the balance on the teleporting. It feels like spamming that can be a little too OP. But the tombstone mechanic definitely helps with that. I was also a little confused why I died sometimes. Whether it was when the ghosts put the tombstones on the portal locations or if you teleport into a ghost.
But honestly those are minor things and for a first entry this is really solid. Well done you should be proud.
I like the idea of a reverse summoning. Definitely a unique and funny take on the theme. The humour was good and it was fun to play. Doing a 3D game aswell is very impressive for a jam. Well done!
Very cute entry. I love the magic theme and music. The hints were just right. Not too obvious but not so vague as to be frustrating. The text options were quite funny too. Didn't experience any bugs so from my end it was all good. A great polished entry. Well done!
I like this a lot. Very unique take on the theme. I love a good pun. The character designs are all unique and funny, especially important given the entire game is based around having them be as unique as possible. I wish I could've seen the score during the round itself though to know how well I'm doing but that's a very minor nit-pick.
Cool little game. The sound effects of the cucumber? thing made me laugh. Only thing I'd say to improve is greying out the summons once you have too little health to purchase them as it wasn't clear at first why I couldn't summon anymore. But otherwise a fun game.
This is really cool and innovative. Solving the puzzles with the summons is really fun and typing out the words to summon and move is a very unique control scheme but I liked it. I didn't experience any of the bugs personally so from my end it was all good. No complaints from my side just a nice, polished entry. Well done!
This is very impressive for a jam game. Having it be multiplayer and fighting against other people is great. Really great job on this. With a little polish and some art this would be incredible but even still for such a short time getting this working is very impressive. Well done!
Really cool puzzle game. It took me a while to figure them all out but the clues were the right level. Not too vague as to be frustrating but not too obvious as to make it too easy. I like this a lot. Making a 3D game for a jam too is very impressive. Well done!
Cool game. Having to type out the words to summon the creatures adds some nice challenge. The towers were unique and interesting. A few more would've been great but understandable given the time constraints. I love the design and voice of hades. Overall a solid entry.
I like the mood of this a lot. The misty exterior and the music and the mystery with the environmental storytelling. I love the pepe artwork too. Whoever did that did a great job. Made me laugh. The summons and puzzles are interesting. A very good entry. Can't think of anything to complain about. Well done!
Wow. Incredible atmosphere in this. The music and sound effects really make this tense. I felt genuinely unnerved at a few points. Very unique take on the theme too with the summoning being summoning spirits. Really great entry. Only criticism i'd say is it is very dark. Obviously as a horror game that makes sense but some parts are too dark to even see what is in front of you. Despite the PS1 style graphics it is very impressive making a 3D game in such a short time. Well done!
Really fun entry. As a corporate software engineer the manager constantly summoning you haunts me on a deeper level. But seriously a very unique take on the summoning theme and it all comes together nicely. The minigames are fun and unique. The way the music tempo gets faster as the time runs out definitely makes things tense. Well done!
Really cool take on the auto-battler genre. Picking your team by collecting them first is a really innovative and thematic way of doing it. Very fun entry. Only negative is it was difficult to get the creatures in the jar sometimes but otherwise I really enjoyed this. Well done!
I really enjoyed this. It pulls of that 80s dark fantasy vibe and aesthetic really well. It all comes together nicely. The art style and the music. It took some time but I managed to complete all the levels. It was really fun and I kept wanting more. There's a good variety of game mechanics and challenges to keep things interesting and making 20 unique and fun levels within 3 days is really impressive. Screenshot 2024-10-08 210014.png
Great job and well done.
The juxtapoisiton between the incredibly cute cuddle animation and the scary creatures. I want to awww and also AHHHHH. The art is genuinely amazing. I would've loved to play a full game. But understand how time consuming 3D modelling is. What you did make is really interesting though. The creatures combined with the music and darkness of the cave definately gives off good mood and atmosphere
Very interesting entry. The music and creatures really set the mood. Also writing this in C. As a programmer I feel your pain. That alone deserves 5*.
Very cool entry. Thought it was a jam entry at first. Very impressive for 48 hours. Those purple monsters that shoot the lasers were brutal also they shoot through the rocks which might be a bug. But otherwise it was really fun. Well done!
Very cute and I like the art style. Making a 3D game is always extra impressive and doing this in 8 hours. Wow. Well done.
I got lost in this for a while. Just watching the ants move back and forth is really mesmerising. I figured out a good strategy. Focusing on strengthening paths from the spawn to each food and then to eachother got a nice path going. Screenshot 2024-10-10 172010.png
This is really cool. The music makes it feel intense. The art style very cute and high quality. I didn't have the repair bug so seems like that was fixed.
Two bugs I did have was that the enemies can't damage you if they are directly below you. You also can't attack them if they are directly below you. Screenshot 2024-10-08 202948.png Once they are to the side of you then attacking and damage.
Despite that it was fun to play and quite funny with the sassy narrator at the start. Well done! Let me know once you've fixed it and I can give it another try.
This was really addictive. I must've spent like 30 minutes playing it in the end. It's a really solid entry and for half a day the quality is genuinely insane. The UI and art all look like a professionally done mobile game. So for one person to make that in 12 hours is incredibly impressive. Great job!
hahaha I love the audio so much. The flying and walking sounds are hilarious. It's the first bee entry i've seen so bonus points on the innovation front. Well done!
OMG this is so adorable. This gives of Stardew valley vibes. The art and music is so cute. It's very relaxing to play. Well done!
This is a really cool entry. The mix of 2D and 3D art works really well. The weapons are all fun and unique. I like how each type is more suitable for certain enemies. The grenade launcher works well against the woodlouse, the gun against the rats and so on. Adds some strategy beyond just mindlessly shooting. The flies slowly flying towards you was surprisingly menacing. I enjoyed this a lot. Well done!
This is awesome. 3D games are especially impressive for a game jam and you pulled it off so well. So many different assets and objects to interact with. The main character is definitely a mood and the art work is great. The face of the goblin will be in my nightmares tonight though 😂.
Really like the mood in this. The limited light and the insects. Very creepy. The screams are horrifying. Good job on the horror vibe. The voice acting made me laugh. Great job on whoever did that.
I noticed a bug where the creatures can get stuck in the walls. Usually you can still kill them though so not a big deal. Screenshot 2024-10-08 213628.png
Really great entry though. Well done!
This is awesome and so well polished. I like the unique take on the board and there is a good amount of strategy. I really love card games and this is a very interesting take on the genre. Well done and great job!
The art style of this is really amazing. It's such a unique aesthetic and you pull it off so well. It was a bit confusing to figure out what to do but as others have said something like a tutorial would solve that. I'm excited to see what you come up with next.
Fun game. Definitely one of the most unique takes so far. I've never one seen a music battler in the 5 years i've been doing LD so really well done on such an innovative entry. The creatures are so adorable I love the designs and trying to avoid the projectiles while playing the drums and listening to the music was fun. For 24 hours too this is incredible. I'd love to see what you could've made in 3 days.
Love the idea. The base is definitely there for a cool game. Making something in 3D is especially impressive but it's also really time consuming so I can understand why you weren't able to finish. If you do ever work on a post dare version i'd love to give it a try.
I like it. It's simple but fun. The creatures and animations are cute. There was one bug I found. My creatures all died but then I used the key to open one of the paddocks and defeated all the enemies. But the game over icon wouldn't disappear even on the next level. Screenshot 2024-10-08 203553.png But otherwise I had no issues.
Well done! And congratulations on making your second entry.
Happy to play it again once you've fixed the bug. Just @ me.
Really cool take on the theme of tower defence. Using literal towers and building them up as you upgrade them. I've never seen that done before so it's really innovative. The sounds effects are funny and I love the designs of the blorps
This is a really cute entry. And very unique. The customisation options are good. I went in completely different directions with the two of mine. The first being a murderous ghost and then a cute cat ghost. tiny_ghost_creator.png tiny_ghost_creator (2).png
Wow I love this. It's got a bit of that overcooked vibe with stuff going wrong and having to manage the customers and the electricity going out and making the food. The character designs are amazing. I never knew I needed sophisticated cockroaches in my life until now and them speaking in French is just the cherry on top. Well done!
This is so satisfying. Not sure what that says about me as a person though 😆. The obstacles add some depth. I wish they weren't physically enabled while you are dragging them but I guess that adds to the challenge. This is really fun though. Well done!
This is a really cool take on the theme. Having humanity be the tiny creatures from the perspective of the greek gods is something I never would've thought of. I really like the take on winning where you don't want either side to win and want to try and balance the conflict as long as possible. Really highlights the futility of war. Great entry. Well done.
Really interesting entry. The mood in this is off the charts. The creepy music and the creatures giving off biblically accurate angel vibes. You've really aced the horror factor. Also when that one creature comes and started attacking me I genuinely got scared. Really good entry and atmosphere. There was a small bug where the creatures will jitter a bit. When there's a lot of them together. But otherwise really great. I'm happy to play it again after that's fixed but well done. This is really good.
Really good entry. For a first attempt this is really good. It's fun to play, challenging and the music and art is nice. Having a volume slider would've been great but otherwise this was really fun. You should be proud and I hope you guys continue to make games in the future. If this is your first attempt I can't wait to see what you can all make after several dares.
Hahahah I love this. Creating a visual novel is very unique. I enjoyed it a lot. Good humour, made me laugh a few times. I feel betrayed by the tick. The setting of the dogs fur is quite an interesting one and fits the theme of tiny creatures quite well.
The computer science nerd in me is tingling at this entry. It seems so obvious in hindsight but I never would've thought of cellular automata as tiny creatures. This is an awesome really innovative take on the theme though. It was fun to play around with and experiment with and there's a lot of customisation options.
Very unique take on the theme. It's been so long since I've played a text based adventure and with the music it feels quite moody and tense. Great job!
I really like how you captured the under sea depth vibe. The art might be simple but with the particle effects and fog it really does sell that deep sea vibe well. The mood is really strong in this. Well done!
Wow! This is incredible. It's easily the most polished game i've seen so far. The art style looks like something out of a paid steam game. To have made all this in 3 days is incredibly impressive. The take on the theme as the depths of the croccodiles mouth is a really unique one and the music for the teeth is a really clever interpretation. If I had to give some criticism it would be that there was no way to turn the volume down. The sfx were very loud for me so a way to do that in game would've been great. But otherwise an incredibly good entry. Definitely a strong contender for top 10 of the jam in my opinion
Took me a little while to figure out what I had to do but was fun once I got the hang of it. The music and discovering what's in the depths like the dinosaurs was interesting. And I love the design of the main character. Well done!
This is such a unique take on the theme. The software engineer in me is tingling at exploring a file system. It's about as well organised as my own. I would've loved some music or something to make it more tense as the timer runs out but otherwise this was really fun and unique. Well done!
Really loved the music in this. I kept trying to beat it which shows how fun it was to play. I like how the clouds explode when you hit them and the different demon types.
I did notice one bug with the game over screen not filling the entire screen. Maybe it's an aspect ratio issue.Screenshot 2025-04-21 122707.png
But otherwise a really fun entry. Well done!
This is such a fever dream. And I mean that in the best way. I love the mix of 2D and 3D art. It's such a rare thing to see in games. Jam games doubly so. It was really fun to play and kept me engaged. The only criticism I have was I got stuck on the colliders a few times but otherwise a great entry. Well done!
Really enjoyed playing this. It's a nice twist on the regular murder mystery genre. And taking the murderer down to the depths of hell at the end fits the theme well. There were so many things to interact with to finally piece it together. Well done!
Interesting entry. I really like the dungeon music. Gives of victory music vibes. After defeating the evil blue slime you save the world. I tried both the webGL and windows build. The webgl one has a few bugs but windows works without issue. I like the pixel art and animations. I'm curious to see what a post jam version is like. With new spells and some other great suggestions here like different enemy types of adjusting the damage mechanics of enemies.
Wow this is actually incredible. I'm shocked you made this in 3 days. It scratches my minecraft splunking itch. I kept expecting to reach out of bounds but nope it just keeps going. I assume it's some sort of voxel based infinite gen. I'd love to know how you made the terrain generation. It was really fun to explore and craft upgrades and new items. I'd love to see a post dare version with more upgrades, ore types and maybe enemies as others have suggested. This is a really awesome entry. And doubly so making it in 3D. Well done!
Edit: I did actually reach the edge eventually. But still it's a really large area to explore.
This was so fun and so difficult. I really enjoyed playing this. Every time I died I just wanted to play one more time. Get a little bit further. The death sound is so funny that I never felt frustrated after dying. Well done on the entry.
Wow. It's not often a LD entry makes me feel like that. This was such an innovative take on the theme. It might be very simple gameplay wise but the theme of exploring the depths of your inner thoughts and the decisions you make was really interesting. To keep me engaged with just pressing an arrow key shows how good of a job you've done with the mood and theming. I love entries like this that push the boundaries or try something completely different.
The mood in this is off the charts. It's so creepy and unsettling. The take on the theme as the depths of your mind and insanity is a really interesting one. The maze section is super unforgiving but I think it's an effective metaphor for the futility and difficulty of dealing with mental illness. Really great entry. Well done!
@hanarioi @sakuraya Thank you so much for the feedback. You helped us find an interesting bug with the audio. The metal detector audio source was never adjusting it's volume based on the setting in the pause menu. That's been fixed now and should sound a lot more reasonable at higher volumes.
@jvdwijk Thanks for letting us know. I've made a windows build that's available to download on the itch page. Do you know if that was introduced recently? The latest version of unity after they patched the vulnerability has been very buggy.
Thanks for the feedback. @egrassah @kvn @huihang @l6ria @bluedingo @fan @re-markable
@norah You can see the items collected if you go over to the trash collection. CosmogonicFrog's image shows what that would look like. Great suggestion for the visual effects. Thanks for playing.
@cosmogonicfrog Wow I can't believe you collected every item. That's insanely impressive. Thanks for spending so much time on our game. We really appreciate it. Were you running on web or windows? Would like to see if I can figure out the performance issues.
This is such a cute entry. It feels like the kind of adventures you'd imagine as a child. So full of imagination. I love the voice acting of opa and the knight.
Cute entry. I like the sound effects the different rocks make. I didn't experience any bugs myself.
This is such a surreal entry. I never in a million years would've expected it. But it's really well executed. The graphics are amazing but have that uncanny valley that a lot of meta humans do but in this case I think it actually helps sell it even more. Stalin is a very unsettling figure and the lifelessness in his eyes sells it even more. It was interesting trying to explore the psychology of him. Really impressive entry. Well done.
P.S. If I had to come up with a witty name i'd suggest Stalin' for time
The mood in this is off the charts. I was slightly confused at first but as you go from level to level it gradually becomes clear something far more sinister is going on. It's really unsettling in a great way. With the music and collecting. Was not expecting that going in. Great job.
Wow I'm glad I played this before reading the comments. I love this entry so much. It's cute, it's funny, it's a little bit weird but most of all it's memorable. I loved seeing the drawings everyone else made at the end and how vastly different our interpretations are.
This is a cool entry. It reminds me of Papers please with how each day gets progressively harder as you have to check more and more things to verify the artwork is legit. The different tools are interesting but I also had some issues with the magnifying glass where it didn't show where I would've expected. But otherwise a fun and very unique entry. Well done.
I love this take on metal detecting. It's completely different than ours. But it's great all the same. For a first jam entry this is awesome. I couldn't help but vibe out to the music. I'm listening to it as I type this message. The sound effects for the metal detecting make it really clear when you are about to hit an item. Fun game. Well done!
You really nailed the vibe of Hotline Miami. I was getting invested in the story. It's a shame it had to be cut short at the end due to time constraints but alas thus is the bane of every jam developer. But a really fun entry and I'd love to try out a post jam version if you ever decide to make one.
这款游戏太酷了。我很喜欢TACO的角色模型。Hope that's correct. I'm still learning Chinese. I really like the physics mechanic of the bag. Having to be careful not to lose all the items you've collected. It's a really innovative idea. Well done!
This might look simple but having tried to implement a recursive raytracer in the past I can appreciate how difficult this can be to get right. So it's really impressive you got the light and reflections working as good as you did. Especially under the time pressure of a game jam too. Well done!
I'll have a look at the source code. I'm interested to see how you ended up implementing it.
Hahaha. This made me laugh. The voices, the character designs, the absurdity of it all. It brings me back to my childhood with flash games. The controls felt good and it was fun to play. Great job guys
This is an amazing entry. The core loop is fun. Trying to figure out how to combine the various body parts and then each day adding one new mechanic to gradually ramp up the difficulty. I think you've nailed the difficulty and fun. It's very polished too.
I am such a scaredy cat with Horror games and this triggered that same dread in me when playing. You've done a great job making it feel scary even when you can't see the monster. I'd love to play it again after you patch in the ending so feel free to @ me.
Wow I love the audio and sound design in this. The song slowly building up as you collect more notes. This is the best use of audio i've seen so far this game. Really great job on this.
This is such a great entry. I love the cute character designs and music and the gacha card opening mechanic is really cool. We had an idea for a similar game but could never find a hook but the connect 3/4/5 gameplay is the perfect idea to work alongside the gacha. Really creative and clever idea. Well done.
SHARKS! I like this game a lot. The fake card mechanic reminds me a lot of Papers, please. I really enjoy card games and each of the shark cards is really well done. The designs are really cute. Really polished for 3 days. Well done.
This is really great. I had to do a double take when I saw it was made my one person. Even for a team this would've been impressive but doing this solo is insane. The controls and physics feel really nice and the graphics are great. I do agree that the difficulty of the bot is a little too high but that doesn't detract from the experience much. Great entry, well done!
Sorry, it seems the message got sent twice for some reason.
Wow this is an incredible entry. The cutscene at the start, the dialogue and humour, the artstyle. The bug splatter. It's all great and far exceeding my expectations for a jam game. I did experience some stuttering on the embedded build but it ran perfectly on itch.io. So It might be worth removing the embedded version so everyone can experience it the way it was meant to be played.
我喜欢这款游戏。角色都很帅. Hope that's correct. I'm still learning chinese. This is really cool. I love visual novels. This was fun to play
I am getting a "Not Found" error when clicking the download link. I'd love to try it out though. Once you add the link if you can @ me i'll play it.
I love visual novels and dungeon crawlers so this game is made for me. There's a surprising amount of depth to the combat. I'm really impressed you managed to get that all working and feeling good in just a few days. This is a really unique entry. Great job.
Very fun roguelike. Having separate weapons and upgrades for each hand is a nice twist on the usual formula. The boss fights are very difficult but otherwise it was satisfying killing all the enemies. I think the embedded version may be broken. The itch version works without issue though.
This is a really unique entry. The radio cutscenes before each day and giving the signals to the ships to ensure they don't crash into land. I never would've thought of lighthouses as signals but it makes perfect sense. Took me a bit to figure out but once I did it was intuitive and fun to play. Well done!
I love the sound effects in this. The pseudo-multiplayer aspect of having the ghosts be other players usernames is very interesting too. Not seen that before in a game jam before.
The jumping took me ages to get the timings right but once I did I could consistently do it. Felt satisfying once I'd figured it out but it is a bit difficult to master. I think slightly increasing the timing window would've helped a lot there. But otherwise a fun entry.
This is such a polished entry. Graphics remind me of my childhood playing side scrollers on Miniclip. Such a nostalgia trip. The hair changing colour to signify which signal you're beaming is a really clever bit of diagetic UI. Really can't think of much to critique. I'd probably just echo what others have said with making it a bit clearer what your stats are.
This is such an incredible entry. I've never seen OCD portrayed so effectively in a game before. Mental illnesses are very difficult to do well in games and not get flanderised but this does it so masterfully. The voice acting is great and the art too. This might be my favourite entry of the jam so far. Great job!
P.S. Make sure to leave comments on other peoples games. That's the best way to get karma which will increase the chance of your game getting rated. It would be such a shame if it doesn't get rated in the end because it's such a unique entry.
Fun entry. It took me a little while to figure out how it worked but once I did it felt nice to play. The map gradually expanding and more and more paths to try and get the signal too added a nice steady ramp up in difficulty. The art looks great. Well done!
Very innovative game - signalling to the radio tower. The music and vibe of this is great. The minigame is a bit difficult but the updated version definitely helps in that regard. I really like the night time country road aesthetic. !> I wasn't ready for the jump scare of accidently going into the wrong lane and getting hit by a truck
Cute entry. The art in this is great and really cute. The amount of enemies builds up fast so you're constantly needing to upgrade. Feel the balance there is quite good. Always feels intense but not overwhelming. Nice variety of alien types.
I played it a few times to get the hand of it. The upgrade menu was in the instructions but it only appearing once you have full XP so that was a bit confusing at first. Good job!
I love how you basically made a single player version of overcooked. The flag mechanic to have to learn how to communicate with the birds adds an extra layer and is a very interesting take on the theme and as a mechanic i've never seen that in a game before. Very innovative and unique game and the art is great. Honestly I loved this game a lot. I'd love a multiplayer version of this. Perhaps each player controls one of the two flags. I wish the movement wasn't random though. It can be a bit finnicky to get the bird in the right place. But otherwise this is a great entry. Very memorable and my favourite entry so far in just how unique and innovative it is.
I love card games but I never expected to see one here. The mechanic of combining the cards is fun and all the card mechanics are well fleshed out. Which is very difficult to do in 72 hours. Well done!
This is very polished. I was curious what would happen after breaking the rules and it completely flipped my expectations on it's head. Won't spoil it for others who haven't played but it is incredibly funny. The rules do feel restrictive but that is kind of the point. Traffic signals is not an interpretation I thought of but it's an interesting take on theme theme. Great entry. Well done!
Such a cool entry. A very complex puzzle to solve but very interesting slowly piecing together the commands and how the system works. It really does feel like a full blown terminal OS. The minimal audio is perfect for this game and it all feels very deliberate. I didn't experience any bugs personally so the bug fixes seem to have worked. Well done!
Really atmospheric entry. We need more space games and this delivers. Seeing the planets and debris floating around. I like the video tutorial. That really helped to grasp the controls. Very rare to see that in a jam game. The controls and physics are very interesting to play with. The only thing I would say is it is quite difficult.
Love the retro art style and square screen Gameboy aesthetic of this. The gameplay was intuitive and fits the theme well. Thought this was a jam game at first. Very impressive for a compo entry.
This reminds me a lot of Hotline Miami as you said but with a humorous twist of being a maid instead. Very impressive for 2 days. Well done!
Such a cute entry. Love the art and music in this. Feels like a mix of Pokémon and plant's vs zombies. Both games I love so this was really fun to play. The card deck mechanics are interesting too and the synergies. Some hidden depth to the mechanics. Very impressive. Well done!
This brings me back to all those university assignments on logic gates. It's a good intro into binary logic and how computers work. I figured out the UI after some playing around but adding tooltips to each icon and in game instructions would've made it easier to get started. This is a really unique take on signal as a theme though. I never would've thought of logic gate signals. Well done!
The music and setting really sell the Indiana jones vibe. I found the douser fairly easy to use but after a while noticed all the treasure was in the marked boxes so that was quicker than using the machine. The hay is an interesting idea. A bit like Hansel and Gretel. Leaving the breadcrumbs to find your way back. Cool concept. Having some guards in the maze to sneak past could be an interesting post dare addition. Well done!
Fun entry. I really enjoyed the different settings and mechanics for each level. Very unique take on the theme too with the signal being a signal your body gives before attacking. Level 3 is super hard but the rest were reasonable. I did manage to finally defeat it after several tries. Great game. Well done!
This is such a cute entry. The challenge is good. Not too few to get boring or too many signals to get frustrating. I love the character and level art and the music. It's a good contrast to the more hectic gameplay to keep calm. I failed the first time and saw the cute foxes but then did it again after realising I was confusing the feather and ring smoke signals. Well done!
Very interesting entry. The art and music is great. I especially like the characters and menu UI. I felt bad for the crying one when I converted it. I like the multiple endings. Makes it more repayable. I got the crazy ending first time but then went back and tried to avoid using the beam on them once they had been converted. The only issue I ran into was if there are a lot of converted creatures they can get you stuck in a corner. Great entry otherwise. Well done!
You've nailed the horror aspect in this. The mood and atmosphere is tense. Despite being a big warehouse the maze like layout makes it feel claustrophobic and tight. The music and sound effects make it feel way more eerie. I jumped when I got caught. Great job on such a scary entry!
Love the artwork and a great introduction to this. Felt so bad after seeing the dead scientist. The blind maze is a really interesting take on the theme. The fuzzy limited vision reminds me a bit of Scanner Sombre. I did also get stuck at first on the battery but once I figured out it was a battery then the mechanics made a lot more sense. Wasn't too difficult to navigate the maze after that. Well done!
Such a cultured entry. I love the minigames that are completely SFW and family friendly. The humour is very 2000s which as an older Zoomer I appreciated. The menu screen is very nice.
Wow this is incredible. The art style is so unique. The static and visuals add to the atmosphere and make the objectives and enemy stand out. The horror feel of this works so well. And the visuals and minigames work well for the theme of signal. Really great entry. Well done!
This deserves way more ratings than it currently has. I can see you've rated a lot already. Make sure to leave comments too as that's the main way to increase karma and get your game shown on the front page. It would be such a shame if this doesn't reach 20.
!> I was not ready for the horror of the enemy appearing behind the player.
This is so impressive for a first entry. The UFO is so fast hahahaa. Feels intense getting chased by it or when you see it and you're almost at the goal. Love the mood and atmosphere of the taiga and snowy conditions. Well done!
Wow this is incredible. They say less is more with horror and this game exemplifies that to a tee. It feeling tense despite just being dots and red blobs is a testament to the sound and game design. The art style is great and reminds me a bit of Scanner Sombre. I would love to know how you implemented the sound waves bouncing off the walls. I'm struggling to find anything to critique about it. The only thing I can think of is the main character's design could match the art style better. But that's only because everything else looks so good that it's more noticeable. Maybe using the same dot shader as everything else would look good.
This reminds me of Stray, with the cat gameplay. The setting and vibe are cool too. I tried both 1.0 and 1.4 to compare. The mouse issue does seem to be solved in 1.4 although the puzzle seems to have broken for me in that update. Would love to try it again once it's fixed. Just @ me and i'll give it a go
