Could be my setup, but the mouse movement didn't really work for me properly. When itch.io focused the browser, I couldn't move it at all, and unfocused the motion was registering but couldn't move further when the pointer reached the edge of my screen.

shaggy 2026-04-21 18:32

Really liked the combination of horror and puzzle! Too bad it wanted to kill me in the end when we were communicating so well... :D

breadstick 2026-04-21 18:32

Woah, this was a really cool space horror game!! I'm shocked this has gotten so little attention... make sure your team is rating and reviewing other games to get karma--that will drive other players to your game, and it certainly deserves lots of players and praise both!

The enemy is spooky, the dialog-based encounters are really cool design, the art is ominous and unsettling, and that credits track had me bopping my head along with its fanfare. I don't know why I abandoned my friend on that spaceship, he seemed nice to me and only wanted to talk :(

Really awesome job from your team--this game is far more polished and complete a package than most of the rest I've played!

thegoblinguy 2026-04-21 18:35

Loved the game. Really impressive getting a full moody and messy environment like this into a jam game. Sound design also did a great job for the tension.

Puzzles were simple but interesting enough, the way they should be in a horror game (nothing worse than losing fear because you're stuck thinking). The response minigame however was a little fast. Then again I think it slowed down on a third attempt(?) and failing it is pretty nice for the tension buildup, so that may all be intentional. Overall amazing jam game.

itero-proto 2026-04-21 18:36

This is the best thing I've seen so far on the LD'59 gamejam! It's the only game I've ever played. honestly. bravo! I'll give you the maximum rating. Screenshot_1.png Check out my game in your free time. It's not as good as yours, of course.

saumchick 2026-04-21 18:43

Great game! Kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end, and every jump scare scared me.

maksim-terskov 2026-04-21 18:46

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of horror games. The puzzles are not very difficult. But the monster design is really cool, and the rhythm-based clicking mechanic is a neat idea. The character’s capsule probably should be a bit bigger. The hands go through walls quite easily—I initially thought I’d run into a wall with no collision at all, but then realized the arms are just too long or the capsule is too small :)

2026-04-21 19:32

It wasn't as scary as I feared it would be (which is good as I was able to finish it). Nice simple task puzzles, it gave me Among Us vibes.

pegasys 2026-04-21 19:59

@shaggy @breadstick @thegoblinguy @itero-proto @saumchick @maksim-terskov @gabrijel

Thanks for playing and the lovely comments! :)

pegasys 2026-04-21 20:01

@lohii are you using firefox by any chance, I've had issues with web builds on that in the past, we tested on chrome. Thanks for letting us know though ! We just made a windows build if you want to give it a try again <3

lohii 2026-04-23 08:58

@pegasys Yes, got it working on chrome!

Impressive amount of atmosphere real fast. Still, at some points the music did start to sound borderline silly.

I did get startled by the monster appearances, but the tension was quite low as it seemed pretty easy to "survive" it. Bugwise, once when it appeared behind corner I was locked looking into the wall so I wasn't sure exactly where it was.

The ending slightly changed the feeling of safety which I really liked, although I wished there was still some interaction in that portion instead of it essentially being a cutscene.

2026-04-23 10:19

its a good horror game

nikorych 2026-04-23 10:29

Scary. Simple and interesting puzzles, I enjoyed it.

venomousmouse 2026-04-23 10:31

I`m not big fan of horrors, but overall feel is very good.

2026-04-23 13:17

I almost lost when saw the creature, but managed to understand how to solve the puzzle. It was awesome, i like the sounds and vibe.

jerrywest 2026-04-23 15:18

Amazing! The horror atmosphere created through the visuals is truly excellent! How to create a horror atmosphere in a low-budget project is a challenge. In your game, "Respond calmly to the monster's cryptic signals" not only conveys the sense of horror and oppression but also makes the protagonist seem brave, calm and badass. This design is really cool!

2026-04-23 15:36

Really enjoyed this one. Loved the little puzzles and the alien made the whole experience a lot more interesting.

vydra 2026-04-23 20:05

I liked the game but play mini game when speaking with monster is little bit hard for me.

alex-de-la-cour 2026-04-23 21:32

Okay so first of all I jumped SO HARD when the monster appeared. After that when I knew it might happen it was less scary but still, I didn't expect such a big scare from a jam game.

I really loved this, definitely one of if not my favourite game of this jam. The whole atmosphere was really creepy, the music and ambient noise and everything was unsettling, the vibes were just perfect. The minigame was perhaps a bit too unforgiving, I felt a bit more leeway for missing the spikes could have made it a bit easier but saying that, I was still able to finish it.

Anyway, that's just nit picking - bravo on a great submission!

dylan-shumway 2026-04-24 01:16

A really impressive little horror experience for 72 hours!! The puzzles were simple but well executed, the mood setting created a nice bit of tension, and the creature gave some good spooks! I also really like how you seem to pull from a pool of questions/reply minigame patterns to give it a bit of replayability.

Also @theoconfidor, the victory/end-of-game song was FANTASTIC. Genuinely just basked in the sweeping vibes for the full runtime.

Very much enjoyed this! Thank you for sharing! :smiley_cat: :musical_note:

theoconfidor 2026-04-24 01:23

Thanks @dylan-shumway for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the experience and making it off the station!

plutonicrock 2026-04-24 13:36

wasn't expecting to see a horror game from this jam, much less one that's so incredibly well done! Loved the concept and the gameplay and just the whole atmosphere. Definitely one of the most unique games in this jam. Great job!

fassenberg 2026-04-24 14:53

Guys, I really liked the game! At first I was just wandering around, getting immersed in the atmosphere and placing some colored capsules. Nothing seemed to happen except for a heartbeat sound.

Then I entered a room where I had to rotate a line, and suddenly a monster attacked me — I got really scared! By that point I was already fully into the game and really enjoying it.

The mechanic of clicking to answer is also very fun, thanks!

bravelytyped 2026-04-24 20:52

I really liked the mood and atmosphere of this one. I was a little confused though, was the monster a friend or not? :p

Really solid low-poly style and good soundscape also!

stormdrill 2026-04-24 20:56

The atmosphere is tense, the art style is great, and everything blends perfectly with the sound design. The gameplay feels clear and intuitive. The only thing is, the monster didn’t really give me a scare

2026-04-24 21:08

I’m really impressed with the overall quality of the presentation and the 3D world you all put together. Everything was clear enough that I could play through the level without needing a tutorial, which felt great.

I liked the little alien encounters, and there was enough dialogue that it stayed fresh as I went along.

I do wish the response mini-game had a bit more polish, but that mostly stands out because the rest of the game feels so polished already. Maybe varying the speeds or adding a bit more variation there would help it feel less repetitive.

Overall, thanks for the game, I’m super impressed.

xeltide 2026-04-24 21:15

That was a tight little jam game. Really well done on all fronts!

First time our friend spoke, wasn't really sure what to do, but other than that, figured it out before he super (I assume) murdered me.

trexxak 2026-04-24 23:54

I want to point out how exceedingly rare it is to have the reveal of "the monster" immediately get contextualized by an attempt to communicate with it. I really like this optimistic sci-fi vision - it's been a while since TNG :D

Incredible feat overall, the game is! Thank you!

aster24 2026-04-25 03:51

Excellent sound design, and the UI felt perfect for the setting. Nice work!

shernik 2026-04-26 06:09

Довольно напряженно, особенно с учащением пульса и движением монстра на встречу к тебе со временем, было бы еще страшнее увидеть монстра сразу ближе к себе

irkar 2026-04-26 11:35

I liked the mechanics of interacting with the monster, but I can’t fully enjoy the game because the (HTML) version lag as hell still its cool good job.photo_2026-04-26_14-34-27.jpg

paulsams 2026-04-26 11:59

The atmosphere turned out to be good. In fact, you took the default formula and it worked. And even the first time, when I didn't immediately understand what the mini-game with the monster was, the atmosphere was oppressive. It's just a pity that after it, I realized when the monster appears and stopped walking scared.

By the way, a similar idea with a monster was used in our game, but we made it the main mechanic and made a language game.

But overall, I was able to get a little pleasure from your game (with its simplicity).

pegasys 2026-04-26 12:00

@irkar Thanks for playing! Would you be able to give us any info on your pc specs/browser and if you have hardware acceleration on? We've tested on a range of devices including low end and even mobile and performance was always fine.

irkar 2026-04-26 12:02

@pegasys I think game runs slow because browser don`t see my discrete video card(

croped 2026-04-26 19:43

Nearly shat my pants on first encounter 10/10. Was pleasantly surprised that i didnt have to run from the monster like other games in the genre. Mood was on point as i really felt a sense of relieve once i got to the escape pod. Very well done!

blinry 2026-04-26 20:15

What a stellar entry! There's little not to like! Very mysterious game in general.

That was a surprisingly cooperative monster! The jumpscares weren't as scary as we feared from the description.

Our only disappointment is that we didn't manage to befriend the monster, despite doing a second playthrough where we tried to fail the communication minigame on purpose. Is there some secret ending?

Please make a sequel, we need more content from this story universe! :D

PS: *bread is lamp penguin chair green*

phoenix-fireflower 2026-04-26 20:34

It's amazing how you've managed to create a horror experience this complete in just three days. I especially like the design of the monster. My one critique is that the response is that the response minigame gives you little room for error. I still beat the game, though.

katastudios 2026-04-27 06:25

Really well done! Most complete feeling game I've played so far this jam!

poweranze 2026-04-28 17:41

I thought this was pretty cute. From the way the "monster" was talking I expected some kind of twist, maybe like Red Riding Hood that the player avatar is the real monster in the situation. The interactions with the creature were pretty cute in general as well, it seemed we both were equaly confused talking to each other. I honestly felt a bit bad leaving it behind, maybe it just wanted a friend :(

Some kind of ingame tutorial would have been nice. I dont know if I missed it, but at first I didnt understand that I had to time my interactions with the wave while talking. The game left me a bit confused what the intended tone was supposed to be and overall I took it as a humorous game more than a horror one.

captain-awesome 2026-04-30 20:51

I like it! I got eaten, but not before I solved a puzzle!!

andriybyelikov 2026-05-02 14:30

A very Outer Wilds-esque game. It's funny that you can trick the alien.

2026-05-04 15:57

I really enjoyed it! It's like a horror version of Among Us, where you have to complete your tasks while being watched by an anxious presence!

deadjolly 2026-05-06 12:47

Thumbnail set expectations high, was not disappointed! The amount of environmental storytelling is top-tier stuff! Felt like I discovered new stuff coming back through hallways I had already passed. The first encounter gave me a jolt for sure, the camera whip-pan was perfect. Expected the friend to show up after that, but yeah, that first one was genuine horror! The audio designed can't be understated either, the slow violins really help build that tension. Enjoyed the clicky minigame, felt almost like a natural response to play, so well done on that! Great use and re-use of assets to build out the level. Lots of polish, awesome job!

Also, I guess the monster had no issue running towards vacuum ;)

ao-85 2026-05-06 19:16

Amazing! The horror atmosphere created through the visuals is truly excellent! How to create a horror atmosphere in a low-budget project is a challenge. This design is really cool!

2026-05-07 18:21

wow, I haven't been this happy in a long time as I was when I escaped the spaceship. I don,t now how I decided to play till the end coz I'm very afraid of horrors and i was freaky scared. And I really like that puzzles are rather easy. Perfectly enough for a short fun jam game. Atmosphere is amazing

I am not a fan of horror but I really enjoyed this one. The visuals are not over the top and gory but still convey the feeling of dread and, well, horror very effectively. The jump scares are also effective without becoming annoying too. I liked the communication mechanic as well. really added to the stress of the situation. One final bit, I absolutely love the design of the creature. really leaning into the Lovecraftian theme and feel there. All in all, fantastic job well done.
